Issue - CIF Work Center

Dear Sirs,
While creating IM for work centers only (with selection criteria - work centers & plant), system checks and prompts a warning message that 'Capacity xxxxxxxx: Model does not contain plant'.
(Plant is ciffed to SCM system ahead)
What it's supposed to check and to fix it please?
Your kind advice is appreciated,
Thank you
Mandy

Hi Mandy,
Please check on the following:-
1) Check whether the work center/capacity/plant is assigned to model 000
2) Check whether the work center/capacity is maintained in ECC in all respects including capacity tab/scheduling tab
3)  Check whether work center/capacity/plant has time zone maintained
4) Check whether capacity is maintained CR12 transaction in ECC and same is assinged while maintainng in CR02 transaction while maintaining work center

  • Facing issue with work center

I am working on a real estate implementation.Require one help on below issue.
Requirement is like one work center say excavation ,
    Work is 5000 m3
    Capcity of 1 labor is 15 m3/day
    Duration is 5 day
In this situation we need system should calculate number of capacities as equal to 5000/(15*5)
In CJ20N for an internal activity I tried to use unit of measurement as m3 for work and normal duration in day  system shown me error as
Enter a time unit, since you have entered either work or actual work
    Message no. CN809
Is someone came across such issue. Please suggest me on this.

    Dear Shrikrishna,
    A workaround is as below
maintain the capacity of the work center for one person as 15 hours per day
in the activity screen in project builder enter the figure in work as 5000(cosider 5000m3=5000hrs)
    enter the duration
note that maintain the work center capacity utilization as 100% if under  work center there are 10 labours or 20 labours maintain it under individual capacity.
so while calculation system shall consider all factors and you shall get the output desired.
just convience the client with unit of measurement

    Hi Bhavesh,
starting with APO Release 4.0 the R/3 planner (Capacity Planner Group in

  • PP Issue - Resources VS WorK Center

    Dear PP Guru,
As i know for resources , there's secondary resource could allocated for costing purpose.
Thru resource network, you can define the network as the work center and the assign an specific resource (work center) at order release.
Can anyone tell the similarity & different in term of resource vs Work center ?
    TQ

    Dear,
Resource & Workcenter are approximately same. Resource are assigned to work center category 008 (Processing unit). This is inturn assigned to the Task list type 2 (Master Receipe). Work center (CR01) is deifned for work center ct 001 or 002 and assign it to the routing. And in simple language work Centers  use in routing of PP (discreet manufacturing), and resources use in master recepies of PP-PI (proces manufacturing).
Hope clear to you. There is no other difference.

  • Issue with Game Center Accounts

I believe this was posted previously by richardgraham90, but i am having an issue with game center. It seems that i somehow have two active game center accounts under one apple ID. I have been using one ever since i got the itouch 4, and just a few weeks ago game center asked me to create another account? im not sure why, but now whenever i open games it asks me to log on to game center, as if my previous game center account isnt working. my old account had all of my freinds and achievements on it, and this new account has nothing. i was just wondering if it was possible to delete this "secondary" account that was somehow created on my apple id. this is a very annoying glitch and game center will not stay signed in to my previous account. if anyone has any ideas or fixes regarding this, that would be extremely helpful. thanks

hey mate, i just updated my software, and it fixed it

  • System monitoring work center and CEN system

    Hi everybody.
I'm setting up the central monitoring, using SSM as monitoring system. I'm also having a look at the work center for system monitoring; but I don't find how to link the central monitoring capabilities with this dashboard.
I mean, it looks the central monitoring does not provide any advantage to work with this work center, am I right? Anyone has experienced this?
    Thanks for your answers!!

    Hi!
    I've done finished this issue!
    Please follow steps below:
    1. Create activity type in T-Code: KL01
    2. Go to KP26 to create the realtionship between Cost Center and Activity.
Now you can see new activity in Costing tab.

  • Work Center CR02

    Hi,
We have created Work Center in 2007 with the following Validity date Jan 2007 to Dec 2009. I have checked the Validity date of associated Cost Center and its ending Year is 9999.
Now I want to Change the Validity date of Work Center to 9999. So this validity restriction could occur some issues during planned order creation or production order creation? Can I change the date directly.

  • Work center in solution manager

    Hi,
In the work center of solution manager, while trying to create job documentation : [https://websmp107.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700001975992008E/index.htm] from a change request the final step is to assign a logical component. When I click on the logical component icon my logical component list doesn't show up even though its maintained in the system. Is there some configuration involved?
    Thanks,
    Esha

    Hello Esha,
if I understood your issue correctly your creating the Job Documentation from the Job Change Document (transaction type SDCD) -> you are using the ChaRM integration, right?
In that case you'll have to check IBase assigned to the Job and Change Request: The IBase has to point to a production system.
The program also filters for logical components having the (logical) System, i.e. combination of System ID and Client, of the assigned IBase, assigned in the role production.
-> So you need a logical component which includes the selected system (see IBase) in role production.

  • Urgent  ! Help in linking Work center to goods movement

    hello,
i need help in finding the work center for the goods movement in AUFM.  The goods movement AUFM table shows all the goods movement entries but i want to tag it to the corresponding work center. i found out a way to tag it. by linking AFKO - RESB - AFVC - CHRD. But the problem is that if the material on the production order is the material that is finally produced, i cant find a work center for it. Because this material has no entry in the RESB table.
Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.
    hey everyone
is there a way to have the VORNR field connected to the AUFM goods movement. this will solve the problem of linking the work center . So if someone knows how to link the AUFM entries with the respective VORNR activity ? Please give suggestions.
    thanks
    Laura.

    Laura,
Goods issues are linked as you described because components consumed by a production order have reservations (RESB) and are assigned to an operation (AFVC).  Goods receipts, on the other hand, do not have reservations and therefore don't have this link to the work center.
If you are using automatic goods receipt, then one of the operations in the production order will have a control key set up for automated goods receipt (PP03 is the standard, and it's usually the last operation).  The business would likely see this work center as being logically tied to the goods receipt of the produced material.

  • Could U Please Tell me the Link B/W  Work Center and Plant ?

    Urgent Issue ...

    Hi,
The org structure is as follows-
    1 st - Company code
    2 nd - Plant
    3 rd - Work center
First co code is created (by FICO) then Plant is created (by MM) then come s the creation of work center.
When we create a Work center it will ask about the plant in which the WC is to be created. The work center is directly linked to the plant.
Please revert with further details of your question if this answer is not satisfactory.
    Award points if satisfied.

From where system is picking this work center.
I am not able to understand.
Is this a customisation issue,Or a Master data issue.

  • Can we control Work center group links using auth object UIU_COMP

    Hello All,
We are running into an issue while doing our PFCG role configuration.
I need to know if we can control Work center group links in a business role through auth object UIU_COMP.
We can control Workcenter's but not 'Work Center Group Links'.
    Here is what we did:
    - We have a business role Z_RA_DEFAULT.
    - The Nav Bar Profile SRV-PRO for this business role has some work center group links that are checked in menu and visible.
    - I'm trying to find the values in the auth object UIU_COMP to restrict Work center group links.
    - Even though the values Work center group links are in menu and visible,
I want to remove these Work center group links from the screen using the auth object.
    - If we remove the check from in menu and visible in the business role the Work center group links disapper from the screen.
Right now this is only way we are able to controle Work center group links.
    Question:
    - Can I use UIU_COMP to restrict Work center group links?
    - any another auth object that controle Work center group links?
    - any document/ website / info  available which tells us what can we restrict with auth object UIU_COMP?
    - or any other way of doing this... like code change, user exit, ....?
    Really appreciate your help.
    Thanks,
    Nasir

I am not sure if I have understood the issue correctly, but still what stops you from actually creating a clone business role to your existing business role and deactivating the in menu visible work center group links. Use this new business role for users who need to be prevented from viewing the work center groups links in question.
If you are going to use authorization objects to control the visibility wont it impact all users (still defeating your original purpose?)
Again apologies in case I have got the question wrong.

  • Operation number and work center

I'm looking for the link between inspection plan/recipe header and operation at table lavel.
Reason: I have two inspection plan number with same group number but both has different counter and each has 4 operation and each operation has different work center.
Now I can get header info in PLKO and operation level info in PLPO table. From PLKO I can pass PLNTY and PLNNR in PLPO table but this gives me 8 entry in PLPO table (4 for 1st group counter and 4 for 2nd counter).
So my question is how to differentiate 4 operation of each inspection plan header. Even same issue facing at recipe level.
I can't find any table. Do we have any BAPI?

Detailing the above reply through SQVI.
    The Join.

If you need you may have Header table (PLKO) also in the join to have more details.

  • Material cost charge to Production Order from Cost Center / Work Center.

In Production Order Environment, is it possible that goods are issued from Storage location to Cost Center / Work Center, and in turn charged to Production Orders.
    Scenario. Transformer Manufacturing.
Production Order size : 100 Units
Steel (Kgs) per Transformer : 3 Kgs
Total Steel required for Production Order: 300 Kgs (100x3)
In the process of manufacturing of a Transformer Steel or Core winding is the first process step.
Even though the Steel required for above said Production Order is 300 Kgs, the minimum issuable lot size from stores is 2000 Kgs.
Is it possible in SAP ECC 6.0 that the Steel of 2000 Kgs is issued to a Cost Center / Work Center, and later charged to production order based on actual Consumption in the said Cost Center / Work Center.
Regards, Replies and Sugestions shall be appreciated
    Madhu

    Thank you for the reply,
However, the scenario that i had in mind was a bit different from what you had conceptualized.
Scenario - These transformers are basically for loading on to Inverters & UPS, The max weight of the transformer range from 15-30 Kgs. and they dont have an external casing of steel as seen on Indian Electricity Board transformers. Multiple production orders are processed at a single time in the Plant as per Customer specifications.
The general process followed for manufacture is as follows:
    1. Core Winding u2013 This process takes place in the core winding department. Steel reels are loaded on to Winders and individual cores of approx 5 u2013 30 Cm Diameter are produced. (Multiple reels of Steel are stacked one on top of the other onto a pallet.) Usually issue of steel from stores happens pallet wise. The pallets of steel generally weigh in excess of 2 tons.
In the present situation (Non SAP Environment) the entire pallet of Steel is issued to the Core winding department and later the Output is charged to multiple Production Orders, based on the records of the Core winding dept. Since in general the steel content in the FG ranges from 3- 25 Kgs multiple Production Orders can be catered to from one Pallet of Steel.
    2. Core Laithing. The wound cores are laithed so as to make the sides smooth.
    3. Core Annealing u2013 Heat treatment process.
    4. Core Insulation. u2013 Insulation of the annealed cores with insulating material.
    5. Primary Winding. u2013 Copper is wound as per the BOM Specification. The issue like that of Steel also arises in the Copper winding process. Here also the Cooper comes in Spools which far exceed the requirement for any Production Order. The minimum issueable lot for Copper from Stores is one Spool. The current practice followed is that the Cooper is taken in the name of the Copper winding department and later charged to individual Production Orders.
    6. Primary Soldering.
    7. Mid Insulation.
    8. Secondary Winding
    9. Secondary Soldering
    10. Shielding
    11. Final Insulation u2013 Same issue with insulation too, since the insulating material comes in rolls.
    12. Testing.
    13. Potting & Drilling - Process of pouring a chemical compound in the center of the transformer, which helps the transformer to later be loaded on an Inverter. The same issue with like of Steel, Copper & Insulation arises here too, since the chemical compound comes in big containers capable of meeting production requirement for a week.
    14. Packing
    15. Transfer to FG Inventory.
One of the suggestions was to issue the entire 2000 Kgs to the Production Order and then return 1700 kgs after completion of the Production Order based on actual usage. However, in my opinion this option might not be practicable because, assuming that I get another / multiple Production orders in between the issue of 2000 Kgs and return of 1700 Kgs, issue to the new Production order will not be possible if the stock in stores was only 2000 Kgs initially. In case assuming that the material is available in stores for the next production order, the situation could worsen in case of receipt of multiple production orders.
Hope, I have explained the scenario & issue being faced.
    Regards
    Madhu

  • Scheduling - Min. queue time & work center / reduction

    Hello,
I have a small issue with scheduling of production order.
I have maintained in a work center with Std. queue time = 15 days and Min. queue time = 7 days.
Means less then 7 days it should be not reduced and by enough time it should be calculated with 15 days.
I know the forward scheduling production takes 20 days ( 5 days for first operation plus 15 days Std. queue time for second operation)
By backwards I schedule the finish date which is less then 20 days in the future.
I would expect system would take 7 days (Min. queue time) instead of 15 days with using reduction strategy.
But system throws the message "Start date is in the past: today scheduling" and increases the finish date, with queue time = 15 day, instead to take
    7 days!
I dont see system takes Min. queue time in account. Please help to find the error. Thansk!

    Hi
Yes .Reduction strategy is only for floats to carry out detail scheduling
Reduction in the float before and after production in the order, expressed as a
    percentage of the original float.
    For example  :
The original float before and after production was 10days in both cases. You
have entered level 2 as the maximum reduction level. The reduction of the float
is in the first level 40 and in the second level 60.
This means that in the first level the float is reduced by 40% of the
original value, that is 6 days. In the second level the float is reduced by 60% of
the original value, that is to 4 days
