It is stuck on Initializing Installer???

I am on PC and when I double click the icon to install I the green bar moves a little but stops after about 20 seconds and it is stuck on initializing installer. Tried restarting and re downloading nothing helped.

Getting stuck at "Initializing Installer" when installing Adobe CS6 Master Collection

I've successfully downloaded the .dmg file to install the Master Collection. After opening it, the "Initializing Installer" window pops up, then it gets stuck there. Attempting to cancel it freezes my Mac. Restarting hasn't helped. Any suggestions?
My specs: Mac OS X version 10.7.5

Creative cloud installation gets stuck on initializing installer

Thank you for the information.
We will try with clean installation process.
1) Open C:drive and navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe.
Open Adobe folder and delete folders named Adobe Application Manager and OOBE.
2) Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe.
Open Adobe folder and if present delete Adobe Creative Cloud folder.
3) Click on the below link and download Adobe Application manager and install the same :
Once the installation process is completed , it will create Adobe Application Manager shortcut icon on Desktop.

Important : Disable AntiVirus and Firewall temporarily .

ITunes installation always get stuck on "Initializing QuickTime types"

Whenever i try to install iTunes and QuickTime it always get stuck on "Initializing QuickTime types."
I am not able to update my software!

I have XP SP3. Intel pentium 4 2.6Ghz. 4Gb RAM. 116GB open on one HDD, 72GB open on the other.
I'm on Admin access level.
I'm trying to install iTunes 7.7 bundled with Quicktime 7.5.
I emptied my temp folders.
I shut down my antivirus and anti-spyware.
I shut down all non-essential startup menu items.
My folder names dont have unusual characters.
I have uninstalled all versions of Quicktime and iTunes and iPod updaters from my machine.
Still no luck.
When Installing the Quicktime application, the entire machine locks up when it gets to the "Initializing Quicktime types" segment of the install.
I have left the machine on its own for up to 14 hrs and it never does regain normal function.
The only way to regain control is to reset or hard shutdown.
Can someone please respond to this so my daughter can use her 2 month old graduation present?

How about standalone downloads for each application?
And, how about patches so the download doesnt take so long and the installation doesn't need to be so intrusive?

Can't seem to get it to install, get as far as 'initializing installer' but progress bar just sticks there. Have tried restarting computer and trying again. Doesn't even let me cancel it, becomes non-responsive?

Sorry you are having problems. Is this on mac or windows? Is it downloading from creative cloud correctly or is it not even getting that far? Are you using the latest version of the creative cloud app. It should be Version 1.7.1.418 released on 7/24/2014. Are you able to install other apps from the creative cloud app?

I can't get past the initializing installer part. It doesn't load whatsoever.

I double click the icon to begin installation and a window pops up that says Adobe Installer. It doesn't move at all and I have tried different wifis, disabling adblocker etc and nothing works.

Hyperion Uninstall stuck on Initializing

Hey all,
When attempting to uninstall using either Add/Remove Programs or Uninstall.cmd, I can make it all the way through product selection and confirmation, however once running the uninstaller is stuck on initializing.
On attempting to perform a manual removal I am unable to get all components. Deleted Hyperion folder and vpm.properties and relevant registry entries, but it still shows as installed when attempting to perform a reinstall.
Anyone have any ideas on how to make the uninstaller work (which should be a given) or where to find any remaining components for manual removal?

Under the installation directory you will find two files set_hyphome_1.bat and .oracle.products. Make sure you delete these two files.
It is better to go ahead with uninstallation through Oracle EPM System-->Foundation Services--> Uninstall EPM System instead of deleting the Deleted Hyperion folder and vpm.properties and relevant registry entries.
You might face issues while reinstalling the EPM System all again. Try installing it on the different drive on your machine.
eg: If You have installed it on C drive the path where you will get set_hyphome_1.bat and .oracle.products.

Clean install stuck after initial reboot

So I bought a Sandisk Ultra Plus SDSSDHP-256G-G25 256GB SSD yesterday to use with my Early 2011 Macbook Pro 13" model. I had to do a clean install, so I created a Mountain Lion USB stick to install the OS. The initial installation went fine and it automatically rebooted itself like it is supposed to, but my MBP has been stuck at this installation screen for about 2-3 hours now and I'm unsure what to do. I clean installed Mountain Lion much faster on my old 320GB WD Black hard drive and it doesn't make sense for it to be taking this long. Thanks for the help in advance.

Stuck in Lion installation *LIMBO* - disk damaged, disk wont repair, disk is locked, wont revert back to snow leopard

I'm stuck in Limbo. I cant complete the install and cant revert back to snow leopard. All I have are the installer utilites (including safari).
I'm running a summer 2009 release macbook pro 17 inch. I downloaded the Lion install app and proceeded to follow the instructions and guided. After less than a minute the install stopped to say that it could not be completed because the hard disk is damaged and can’t be repaired.
So...I went to disc utility to verify the disk and this is what I got.
Verifying volume “Macintosh HD”
Checking file systemPerforming live verification.
Checking Journaled HFS Plus volume.
Checking extents overflow file.
Checking catalog file.
Incorrect number of file hard links
Bad hard link creation date
(It should be 3325742596 instead of 3340504404)
Hard link record has data extents (id = 2888169)
Checking multi-linked files.
The volume Macintosh HD could not be verified completely.
Error: This disk needs to be repaired. Click Repair Disk.
So I put in my Snow Leopard disk and went to repair disk. Now, THIS is what I got.
Disk Utility can’t repair this disk. Back up as many of your files as possible, reformat the disk, and restore your backed-up files.
So then I wanted to go back to Snow Leopard at least, but I cant. When I go to “Startup Disk” and select my Mac 10.6.8 drive, it says:
You can’t change the startup disk from the selected disk.
Startup Disk could not gather enough information on Selected Disk.
So that’s annoying because it keeps me stuck in that installation "limbo" - not able to finish installing and not able to go back.
I restarted, holding down the OPTION key, but it only gave me one boot selection - the installer itself.
So then I try yet again to install this thing because there’s not much else I can do...but now it won’t even start installing...when the installer screen asks which drive I want to install it on, for which I would of course choose my Macintosh HD, it says in subscript underneath Macintosh HD:
“This disk is locked” and it wont let me select the “continue” button to begin the installation.
Please help, someone.

phew, just got everything back to "normal"
I turned off my mac for about 10 minutes and then started it up again. Also I think this time i inserted my snow leopard disc at just the right time, not too early not too late.
Whatever it was, when i went to "Startup Disk" the snow leopard disc showed up!
So then I went to disk utility after booting the snow leopard installer for the first time. It said it repaired one thing but then stopped and said it couldnt repair it and told me to back up and reformat.
Then I just ran a simple verify again and it said the HD was "OK" - it gave me a clean bill of health?!?!
So then I went to startup disk again, and was finally able to get out of limbo and back to good old snow leopard.
Now I'll install Lion, but taking all cautions beforehand...maybe i'll wait a few days first though.

What happened prior to this issue? (update, paper jam, changed toner)
I would do a hard reset if you haven't tried this method.
Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector.
This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.

Windows 7 install stuck on "completing installation"

Iv been trying to install Windows 7 on my Macbook Pro 13'' mid summer - 2010 from bootcamp. Im running 10.7.3. Everytime I try to install windows It gets stuck on "Completing installation" Iv left it running for hours (4-5 hours) and nothing is changing. I have an image if it helps..

Oddly enough, I have had windows 7 installed on this Mac before but then I deleted and now I am looking to get it back (I am using the same disc I had used the previous time). Iv looked around for days for any solutions that have been found but nothing has worked so far. If anyone can help me it be great!

My 2006 is also liist on the uncompatible list. So there is an extra step to reburn the DVD.
Round about way of saying you bought System Builder? rather than retail which costs more but has both.
You might also have been better with pre-SP1 if you could find it. That does get mentioned from some users.
For free there are Windows 8 CP edition (and release candidate in June) to try, those you do burn from ISO to DVD. Try that.

What is the correct procedure to install a TCS application not included in the initial installation?

I can go through the installation procedure to the point when I've switched to the 2nd DVD. Setup resumes and a few seconds later states that no application was installed.
I'm adding Captivate to my initial installation of FM9, Acrobat9 and Photoshop. I'm not uninstalling them first. Should I? Why?
The initial installation was a year ago. The OS is Windows 7.

Yes, I just want to add Captivate. I've been successfully doing the canonical installation (DVD1 > setup (autoplay wouldn't work due according to the error message to a Unicode error in the lang.dat file) up to the switch to DVD2.
As far as starting from DVD2 is concerned, there's no setup file on it to launch. So that route is out.
Another option (because some have reported issues with installing from DVD) is to copy the contents of both DVDs to a temp folder on your hard drive and start the install from there.
Copying DVD2 to the HD might be a solution. Unless data is somehow corrupted on DVD2, but in that case, why did the original installation succeed?

FCIP interface stuck at initializing on 9216i v2.1a (vsan segmented)

Following the instructions in both the config guide and troubleshooting guide to configure the FCIP profile and interface, my fcip2 interface status is stuck at initializing. Looking in FM events tab, I can see that the 9216i's are cycling between these states: vsan merged; N_Port unmanageble; vsan segmented and N_Port Up. show fcdom domainlist on the higher priority switch shows it flip-flopping between [local] and principal] [local] states. Using show zoneset active, I can see the zoneset being transfered over to the 2nd switch. Despite all this, the fcip interface does not stay up. Thanks for helping.

Just going from your info, it sounds like the interface comes up for a little bit of time. More than likely then, the issue is MTU. You have an MTU configured larger than somewhere in the network can handle it. If you get the show log output and it shows alot of TCP retransmissions, this is the problem.
