Item Price Y Inactive because of subsequent price

Hello Experts,
I have a 2 pricing conditions with condition class "Price" (B) in the pricing procedure.
This resulted that the first condition type having control status as Y "Inactive because of subsequent price".
Only the second condition type is active.
Please confirm that there is no impact on posting to accounting.
The confirmation is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

I have a 2 pricing conditions with condition class "Price"

Though already confirmation has been given that there wont be any effect, can you please let me know why you have maintained two pricing which seems to be illogical.

  • Condition Inactive because of subsequent price.

    Hi All,
During Sales Order Processing in pricing only the last condition is actived & get reflected in net price. All other conditions are shown inactive. When I check the Item-Conditon-Details on the Control Data (Inactive Field) the status is shown Y- Inactive because of subsequent price.
We have created variant confugiration for the material.
Can anyone guide me where I have made the mistake.
    Thanks is advance

    hi,
i dont think it is really a mistake when the system says a condition is inactive because of a subsequent one. Like for example in a sales order there is a PR00 list price and some discount conditions on it.
But the moment we supply the sales order with a Net price (PN00 condition type)value we dont the discounts also to go along with that. because net price is after considering everything. In such case the discount conditions become inactive because of a subsequent price.
In your case please check your pricing procedure if it has purposefully been configured that way.

  • Inactive conditions (Type Y - Inactive because of subsequent price)

    Hi all
I have a curious case that seems to be unexplained...
The inactive conditions of type Y
When are the condition types deemed inactive if type Y ??
There was no entries maintained in the condition records upon the existing entry or the entry existing was not changed. There are no exclusions maintained for the condition type as well. The condition type that I am using here is of the condition class A (discounts/surcharges).
The condition is inactive at the document level of type Y.
However, when I check the status information of the condition type, I find the message "Condition is active"
Kindly provide me pointers to resolve the overlying issue.
    Thanks in advance
    Vinodh S

It could be due to two reasons
    1)  Please note that If both the condition types has a Condition Class as B  (Prices) only one pricing condition in the lowest level ( step number ) will be active and rest are made inactive by the system. This is a standard behavior.  So If you have two condition types with same condition class, you may need to change the first one to be a discount or surcharge in V/06
    2)  Next go to IMG Path -- SD --> Basic Functions --> Pricing --> Pricing Control --> Define Pricing By Item Category --> Activate pricing for item categories.    There check you have maintained "X" for your item category under the tab "Pricing" and blank against "Statistical value".

  • How to handle Pricing error " Y  "  Inactive because of subseque

    Hi,
ZSAA is Basic price condition type, it determineds the value through alter.cal type as 100.00 usd, but it shows as
ZSAA is "Inactive because of subsequent pricing".
In the pricing screen, if we select the condtion details of ZSAA,
the new screen branch out, in this under control data, we
have below fields, in this Inactive field automatically says
"Y" -  Inactive because of subseque
    Condition class,
    Cal.type
    Condi category
    Condi.control
    Condition origin
    Inactive
Can any body tell me what is the issue? how to handle this erro

    hi,
let me put it this way, ZSAA is deriving the value of 100 $ through alt calculation type based on a different condition,  for example Z123.
the alternative cal type is doing some calculation based on the value fetched for Z123. Now there must be some other condition type in your pricing procedure which is more relevant to the sales transaction you are doing. Now obviously the price determined for ZSAA should no longer be applicable because you should not have two prices active at the same time for a given sales order.
Let me try explain further, for example if there is net price condition availble in your pricing procedure. ZSAA determined some value and is active, but as soon as you enter value for this net price condition say ZNET, the ZSAA condition becomes inactive. Because after net price you dont need calculate any furhter discounts.
    Hope it helps.

  • Items are not there in LOV  for Price List

    Hi All,
I Have created an Inventory Organization "A", and have defined few items in It.
When iam using Oracle Pricing Manager for creating a "Price List" the items defined in "A" inventory Org are not listed.
Instead it is picking Items from the Vision Operations - Inventory Organization.
Is there any setup to link the Inventory Org (A) in OM?So that the items in A (Inv Org) appear in Price List LOV?
    Thanks in Advance.
    SYR

Do you have your QP: Item Validation Organization profile option set correctly for Oracle Pricing Manager?
Do you have pricing security enabled (QP: Security Control = ON) and if so have you checked the values against these profile options:
    QP: Security Default Maintain Privilege
    QP: Security Default ViewOnly Privilege
... and made any grants required via Oracle Pricing Administrator?

  • Condtion record -Price element inactive -Inactive Via Formulas or Incorrect

    Hi experts,
I am trying to use pricing condition in bespoke service order. When I add product to it, I don't get the net value. When I click on product then I get all condition records but condition record with bespoke condition type are marked red and with error 'Price element inactive -Inactive Via Formulas or Incorrect'. Also on order I get error that one of the bespoke condition is missing. ( which is mandatory).
In SAP GUI when I open the order and select the condition record with click on magnifying glass I see 'Txt for condn inactive     = Inactive Via Formulas or Incor' in condition record's detail.
Any idea what is missing? I have downloaded all customizing objects and condition records in CRM.
    Thank you.

The condition types are not visible in bespoke transaction. How to activate the condition types for  bespoke transaction?
Also I don't see any condition record in Product master.
    Thank you.

  • Copy shopping cart item (originally from catalog), able to change price

We create a shopping cart item by selecting a catalog item from CCM 2.0. The price is not changeable, as we would expect.
We then copy that item in the cart to create item 2. However, the price in item 2 is now changeable, even though it was copied from catalog item 1.
We have implemented OSS note 693175 which gives us the ability to change the price of a catalog zero priced item, which is what we want.
But we do not want to be able to amend the price of catalog items that have been copied to new items.
Can we prevent a catalog item that has been copied from having its price changed?
    Thanks
    Neil

    Hi Neil,
I think any item that is copied from another line item can be changeable irrespective of whether the first item was a catalog item or not.
You are just copying a line item and is not directly taken from catalog.
So the system allows you to change the item details.
If you want to order the same item at same price then what is the need for copying it as second line item.
    Hope this makes you clear.

  • Price change summary report & approach of price change on Sales Orders

    Hi,
I have made the setups for updating the price on Sales Order via profile options (i update the list price field on SO line the SO line price gets updated). The Customer have manual price overide in their existing system in place so they want same in oracle system as well. Their price change doesn't have any serious logic,,it is quite erratic based on market condition on that day.
    (1) How can I get the report fro the changed price wrt price on price list for all the items on Sales Orders (during a period). It seems, Audit trial functionality for changing list price is not available.
    (2) For the system whether required price change as above is better approach or maintaining new price list all the time is preferable option. In case of new price list, do we have any standard report which fetches itemwise price change details on Sales Orders for a period.
    Thanks.
    With Best Regards,
    Nirabh Nayan

    Nirabh,
Did you say you update the List Price itself in the Order Lines? In my opinion you should never update List Price. Set the profile OM: Discounting Privilege to 'Unlimited' to allow update of Selling Price, but switch off 'OM: List Price Override Privilege' for the responsibilities so that List Price field is not Editable. So that List Price always reflect the price with which Order Line was created (From the price List). Now create a custom report wherever Unit Selling Price does not match Unit List Price.
If you really want to go a little further then create a modifier with Application method 'New Price' that should kick in everytime the Unit Selling Price is updated. Let me know if that helped.

Are the prices shown on Apple online stores the price actually paid or are these prices subject to extra local taxes..VAT or purchase tax etc

    Paul_31 wrote:
I think it varies. In the UK and France, for example, where I have purchased from the online store the prices included relevant taxes. I believe that in the USofA and perhaps some other countries that the price shown is net of tax because the tax rate varies from state to state.
You can always go through the process of preparing an order at the Mac Online Store for your country and it should show the price together with any taxes. You don't, of course, actually have to place the order .
I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong about the USA online store.
Correct Paul - in the USA, each State sets its own sales tax, so the tax is only calculated during checkout once you've entered shipping/billing information.  Even within some states, some cities have their own sales tax rate (eg. New York State is 4% but New York City is 8.875%).

  • Effective price is 0.00 INR, material price is 100.00 INR error in contract

    Hi All,
We are creating Contract with vendor and material with transaction ME31K.
When we enter tax code, system prompts a warning message :
"Effective price is 0.00 INR, material price is 100.00 INR
    Message no. 06207"
Even if you ignore this and try nto create a PO w.r.t contract Tax values will be zero in invoice tab.
Please let me know why system is behaving like this and how to fix this.
    With Regards,
    Vijaykumar P

    Dear Vijay,
If this is a value contract and system is working correctly.
For value contract, you are not entering any quantity value so system calculates the quntity as 0 and value = quntity *price
so 0*any price =0.000  Because of this it takes effective price as 0.00.

  • Here's a fix for "This item cannot be updated because it has been changed by another user or process"

    https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/System-Center-Service-fca7af29
A few months ago on the Technet Gallery, I submitted this custom control to be used on SCSM console forms. The purpose of the control is to eliminate the "This item cannot be updated because it has been changed by another user or process" error
message that we all have seen at least once (a day :) ).
The details are in the gallery description (along with installation instructions for existing forms and your own custom forms).
Here's a "short" description (nothing I ever post here is short :) ): This is a custom control that can be applied to an SCSM form like the Service Request form or Windows Computer form or your own custom form built with the authoring tool or Visual
Studio. When you click "OK" or "Apply" on the form, this control scans the form and Service Manager's database for any changes to the object you have open. If a property that _you_ have changed on the form was _also_ changed in the CMDB
(by a workflow or another user), this control will present a dialog box letting you know what happened. It will also let you choose which value to keep (yours, theirs, or the original value).
Just as importantly (and important in a greater percentage of cases), if a workflow changes a "background" property (like FirstAssignedDate) while you have the form open and you click OK, the control will detect the change and allow the form submission
to go through while keeping your changes and the FirstAssignedDate change that the workflow made. You won't get an error message or even a warning. And most importantly, you won't lose your changes.
That's where the "optimistic" part of the control's name comes from. It applies optimistic concurrency control to SCSM forms, while also providing an anti-collision interface for you to use so you no longer lose any of your changes.
Furthermore, this control will work on related items that are opened in memory; for example, the activities on a Service Request. So if you change an activity's title while the workflow engine sets it in progress, you won't get an error. The activity will
be in progress and will get your new title when you click OK or Apply.
Lastly, (and I admit this part is getting into the deep inner workings of console forms) if your form loads a sub projection at run time (to the root object) this control will detect the load and treat that sub projection as if it were apart of the original
    form all along.
I've gotten a little feedback about this control, but I'd like to get more since it's a work in progress. So, I'm announcing it here on the forums. Please give it a try and let me know if you have any questions. I'll be happy to answer them here. Thanks,
    folks!
Oh, and to answer the most common question right away: It's free. There is no paid version or anything like that. This is something I built for the SCSM community.

    Great job!
    Will definitely try it out.
    Best regards,
    Marcus

  • Moving average price calculation logic of material with Price Control "S"

    Dear Gurus,
As you know that there is a Moving price and standard price icon in the material master.
I want to understand the calculation logic of the moving average price of the materials having price control "S"
How the system calculates the MAP for standard price materials? The receipt from the process order I suppose is valuated at the process order cost after settlement, but if the issue has hapened for the material does the system recalculate the issue price also?
Below is the sample process order receipt and issue scenario:
    Receipt from process order 161000000223
300 kg and GR at standard cost value is Rs 5892
    Issue to process order 162000000294
250 kg and GI at standard cost value is Rs 4910.
Thus the balance at period end is 50 kg and balance at standard cost value is Rs 982.
Here in process order 161000000223 the actual cost is 10 Rs. Then how will the system calculate the MAP?
    Thanking You,
    Amit Dhanurdhari

    Hi
    Try the following calculations,
One of them will work depending upon your version and support pack
Expected MAP calculation ( As with price control V)
    = ((Qty before transaction*MAP + Transaction Qty * transaction
    Price)) / quantity after transaction
New Method ( when price control is S)
= Old MAP + (Price Variance w.r.t Standard Price/Qty after transaction)
Also go through the following notes,
    Note 1225167
    1253944
518485 FAQ: Valuation of goods movements
212286 Overview note: Valuation during goods movements
209864 Moving average price is disproportionately large
202166 Collective note: Statistical moving average price

I have done extensive research on this, let me know if you need to know something specific.

  • Invoice verification price not equal to GR document price

    Hi: everyone
Purchase order price has been changed after goods receipt. according to my underdtanding, invoice verification price should be equal to GR price if this is IV of based GR. However, when I deal with invoice verification, sap system proposed price equal to PO price. why?
    everyone can provide me answer?
    Thank you
    Henry

    Hi
Once the GR has made if you ammend the PO price or change the Tax code the value will not flow to Miro, bcs at the time of GR the value based on the Qty will be captured. Simple logic
Reverse the GR ammend the PO again make a new GR and do the IV.
