  • HT3702 i have an unauthorized purchase on my itunes account

How do I remove or delet an unauthorized purchase on my itunes account?

It's not a temporary store holding charge as per the page that you posted from and you've checked the purchase hisrory on your account : if you log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of the purchases.
If you didn't make the purchase, and nobody else has access to your account or devices and may have made it, then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • Why doesn't Itunes care when your account is hacked and you have unauthorized purchases?

My account was hacked and I had about $50.00 in unauthorized purchases. I informed Itunes of the problem, their response was golden. They disable my Itunes account, a refund was not happening and sent me an email about how to keep my Itunes account secure. That's good customer service for you!!!

iTunes is a software program, why would it care?
Contact the bank or credit card company to discuss refunds or reversing the charges.

  • ITunes downloads unauthorized purchase then disappears

An unusual thing happened this morning as I was listening to one album in iTunes (10.3.1) on my Mac (10.6.6).
I was listening to one album and purchased one song but noticed that iTunes had downloaded TWO songs - the purchased song and another song that I did NOT authorize but had purchased many years ago.
As I was searching for any threads in this forum for a similar incident, I came back to my iTunes and noticed that the unauthorized purchase I made disappeared and there is no charge for it in the account.
I'm just wondering if this could have been a hack or just a glitch?

And for the record- no-one in this household has any desire whatsoever to see that movie!!!
That and- no sign of a credit back to my account....
So I'm inconvenienced AND am out $14.95?  Seriously?

  • HT201359 unauthorized purchase - how to dispute?

How can you dispute an unauthorized purchase made by your child?

All purchases are considered final bu you can try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support and see if they will refund or credit you : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
If the purchase was on an iOS device then to try and stop it happening again you could use Settings > General > Restrictions on it to turn off in-app purchases and also to require your password to be entered for every download (the default is a 15 minute period during which it doesn't need re-entering).

  • HT204053 I recently had to cancel my debit card because of unauthorized purchases on Facebook. I have tried to update with 4 different credit cards and every time I get a message saying invalid security code. How do I fix this?

    Debit card? Are you sure?
USA iTunes Store does not appear to accept debit cards - http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/us/terms.html  "The iTunes Store, Mac App Store, App Store, and iBookstore services (“Services”) accept these forms of payment: credit cards issued by U.S. banks, payments through your PayPal account, iTunes Cards, iTunes Store Gift Certificates, Content Codes, and Allowance Account balances."

This is a user to user support forum. There is no one from Apple here. No one here could help you, you need to contact iTunes support. http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html

  • I have an unauthorized purchase on my account. How do I report a problem?

I had a bunch of iTunes credit from gift cards I received. Someone purchased a $32 app with my credit. Part of the description is in Chinese. I tried to report a problem with the purchase but it just bounces me to this Web site with no way to contact Apple. Is there any hope for customer service or am I screwed?

Thanks! WOW! They do not make it easy to report a problem, do they? I navigated my way through their decision tree and finally reported the unauthorized purchase. This may be the worst customer service system I've ever seen. Thank you for your help! They should add your post into the iTunes application so customers at least know where to go to report a problem. The latest version of iTunes doesn't help.

  • Unauthorized purchase by Hongbin Suo

I awoke this morning to a purchase on my account for 19.99 from Hongbin Suo company for an app called 德州撲克 HD, 560,000 Chips. I recently had another unauthorized purchase from another company exactly one week to the day as this one. The first time itunes support suggested it was just something I accidentally did, but I would never buy a $20 app! Also the purchase was made around 4am CST which is when I'm asleep. As a result I've changed my password, cut all payment funds off from iTunes.
After doing some research it seems this problem has been happening to many people for several months and the support team hasn't taken action to permanently stop this. I am now researching alternatives to iTunes such as Amazon since iTunes has now shown not to be a consumer safe organization and isn't committed to correcting known security issues.

Same thing has happened from me..this is the second time from the same application. yet support wanted to say that it was something I accidentally bought, but I would Never spend $30 on one application. They refunded me the first time but I highly doubt they will the second time. Unless I get refunded the second time I will never buy anything again from them. It is happening to so many people and I think this needs to be addressed to all of us that have not made these purchases and find a way to fix the issue because it is getting out of hand.

  • Charged for Unauthorized Purchase

How do I receive a credit for an unauthorized purchase from the  iTunes store? Is it possible that MLB AT Bat Premium is an auto subscription?

From the MLB.com At Bat's description page in the store :
At Bat offers several subscription options for access to At Bat Premium:
    ****At Bat Premium Subscription Options****
    • Monthly recurring fee of $2.99.
    • MLB.TV Premium subscribers receive At Bat 13 for free.
There are instructions on this page for managing and stopping auto-renewing subscriptions : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4098
The description page also says :
No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during active subscription period.
But you can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will refund or credit you : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • HT3702 unauthorized purchase

How do I report unauthorized purchases?

If these charges are being made to a credit or debit card, the most immediate thing you need to do is to call your credit card company or bank and report the unauthorized charges. That company can contact Apple if they need additional information.
Next, log into your iTunes Store account and see if the purchases are reflected in the Purchase History. If they are, immediately change the password to your iTunes Store account, making sure it's not something easily guessed or looked up. Then go here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.
If the charges are not reflected in the Purchase History, then it's most likely a fraudulent charge to your credit card directly rather than an unauthorized purchase through your iTunes Store account in which case it will be up to your bank to handle.
    Regards.

  • My Account Has Been Hacked/Unauthorized Purchases

Hello all, I'm hoping that you can help me with my problem.
I discovered earlier this week that my Apple iTunes account had been hacked.  Unfortunately, whoever hacked my account changed my account information and purchased $100 in gift cards.  Luckily, for whatever reason the charges haven't yet (fingers crossed) appeared on my debit card statement.  Regardless, I have been trying to contact Apple since Tuesday to no avail.  I have not been able to uncover an iTunes customer support telephone number (I may be an idiot, but I looked for about 1.5 hours and didn't find one, only numbers for placing orders, etc.).  Instead, I've read that I should use the "Report a Problem" button on the "Purchase History" screen in iTunes.  I would be more than happy to do this, IF IT WAS POSSIBLE!  Sadly for me, the grey arrow circle is not available next to the order, so I am unable to report it.
I visited apple.com and was overjoyed to find an e-mail form to report unauthorized purchases with.  I filled it out and received an automated reply which said to expect a reply within 24 hours.  24 hours came and went and I hadn't received a reply, so I sent another e-mail yesterday afternoon.  This is actually humorous because on the second automated reply, it said to expect a response within 48 hours.  Maybe they are really busy right now?
I haven't used my iTunes account since I discovered the unauthorized purchases as I'm not sure how Apple deals with these situations.  I've left my account the way the hacker left it (with his name, address, etc.).  This is becoming quite annoying to me as I would like to download some new apps.
Is anyone out there dealing with the same issue?
    Thanks for your replies...

Hey folks, this just happened to me too... Looks like purchases happened yesterday and ran up some gift cards, but on the penny of someone elses account information and credit card info.  Pretty crazy too, just sent an email and hoping to get this cleared up for my sake and whoever was charged.  (I doubt they meant to charge 100 bucks in gift cards to someone named Ruth)
In a crazy way I'm glad I'm not the only one this has happened to...  Sorry that this happened to you guys...

  • HT204088 How do I report unauthorized purchases?

How can I refuse unauthorized purchases made against my account?

iTunes Store- What to do if your account has been compromised

  • I have one apple ID for multiple devices in my family.  I'd like to keep it that way for itunes/app purchases.  I would like a simple step 1, step 2, step 3 response on what I need to do to separate all other features like imessage, contacts, emails, etc.

I have one apple ID for multiple devices in my family.  I'd like to keep it that way for itunes/app purchases.  I would like a simple step 1, step 2, step 3 response on what I need to do to separate all other features like imessage, contacts, emails, etc.
I have been reasearching how to do this on the internet, but I haven't found an easy explanation yet.  My family is going crazy over each others imessages being sent to others in the family and not being able to use FaceTime because of conflicting email addresses.  I have read that if each person gets their own iCloud account, this would work.  However, I need to know what to do after I set everyone up with their own iCloud account.  Do I make that the default email address to be contacted or can they still use their hotmail email addresses.  Any help- with easy explanation- would be much appreciated!!

We do this in my family now.  We have one account for purchases, so it is used to share music and apps (I think that is in Settings/iTunes & App Stores).  Each iDevice has this configured.
Then, each of us has our own iCloud account that is configured under Settings/iCloud.  That then allows us to have our own Mail/Contacts/Calendars/Reminders/Safari Bookmarks/Notes/Passbook/Photo Stream/Documents & Data/Find My iPhone/and Backup.  That Backup piece is pretty sweet and comes in handly if you replace your iDevice.  You can just restore from it.
So we all share the Apple Store account but we all have our own iCloud accounts to keep the rest seperate or things like you mentioned are a nightmare.
In answer to what iCloud does for you: http://www.apple.com/icloud/features/
Think of it as an internet based ("cloud") area for all of those items listed in my response.  What you need to remember is photo stream only maintans the last 1000 pictures so don't count it as a complete backup solution for your pictures.  Even though I rarely sync with a computer these days, I do still try to sync my phone with iPhoto (I have an iMac) so that I have copies of all of my pictures.  1000 may not stretch as far as it sounds.
