JCE Jurisdiction does not allow Portal to start

Hi,
I've a EP 6.0 SP9 on WAS 6.40. Someone has moved JDK files and I've to re-install full JDK. Now when I try to restart the Portal the message serve and enqueue server come up but the dispatcher,server,sdm part fails. I check for the logs and in bootstrap log I found the following error.
Java#com.sap.sql.connect_1221#com.sap.sql.log.OpenSQLResourceBundle#Error while accessing secure store: .#1#Encryption or decryption is not possible because the full version of the SAP Java Crypto Toolkit was not found (iaik_jce.jar is required, iaik_jce_export.jar is not sufficient) or the JCE Jurisdiction Policy Files don't allow the use of the "PbeWithSHAAnd3_KeyTripleDES_CBC" algorithm.#
I found the iaik files in place.
Please let me know how to resolve this.

Hi Siva,
looks to me like your UME Configuration is set to store the user mapping data with strong encryption and you have forgot to install the unlimited strength jurisdiction policy files.
If you want to check if this is the case you can disable password encryption for the mapped data by setting the value of the UME property ume.usermapping.unsecure to FALSE and retry starting the server. You change the setting using the Config Tool: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/0b/50ad3e1d1edc61e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
To check if the correct policy files are installed you go to $JAVA_HOME/lib/security and take a look at the local_policy.jar and us_export_policy.jar files in there. Compare them with the files from
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html -> "Java(TM) Cryptography Extension (JCE) Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files 1.4.2" -> Download
If the files differ, replace your existing ones with the downloaded ones.

Strange Missing File does not allow FCP to Start Cleanly

Hello all,
I am getting the following error message when I launch a specific FCP project.
The movie file "Grant Short 8-FIN-000000b9" cannot be found. Without this file the movie cannot play properly.
In order to get the projects to launch I need to go through various "cancel" / "stop" operations as the application attempts to find this file. I am running into various problems once I do get it to launch. Any idea as to the nature of this file and steps to remedy the situation? I did a spotlight search and the file does not exist anywhere.
I am running version 5.1.4.

It's a render file that's referenced by a reference quicktime. This is the danger of not making selfcontained qt's. If you use a reference qt in a fcp project and you delete media that the qt references, this is what happens. If at all possible, it's good idea to always export selfcontained qt's (if you've got the disk space).

Number field problem in forms. It does not allow zero

I have two number fields.[ database items]..When i try to insert data ,it does not allow zero in starting position.
How can i make this to allow zero in starting position ?
For example when i try to insert 02323 in one of the database item , after inserting i note the database.
It saves only 2323. Pls help me

Error : RFC Partner does not allow to start the Program.

     I have a requirement where in BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHECKOUTVIEW2 need to be called from the front end (JAVA).
     When i run this BAPI in SAP it works fine ,when i run the same form front end it throws the error saying
          "RFC Partner does not allow to start the Program."( I have checked the error in debug mode).
         SAPGUI is installed at the JAVA developers desktop,still am facing this error.
        The error is thrown at the below code:
                  CALL FUNCTION 'RFC_PING'
                                                DESTINATION 'SAPGUI'
                 EXCEPTIONS: communication_failure = 1 MESSAGE lf_msg_text
                                              system_failure        = 2 MESSAGE lf_msg_text.
Please suggest.

It sounds like Safari and Settings will immediately close when you try to open them. I recommend following steps in the following tutorial to address an issue like this (you can skip step 2 "Recharge iPad" because it's not related to this issue):

i am getting an error when i am running the Test script using ECATT is "system of newly started session does not allow scripting.therefore the session cannot be recorded" for recording a transaction

Hi Vishnu,
1)Go to RZ11.
Enter Profile name aas SAPGUI/USER_SCRIPTING and the default value should be true.
Current Value should be set to true. -
This needs to be done by BASIS admin team.
2)Request System Admin team to allow eCATT and CATT allowed in this system.
3)In the SAPGUI front end at the menu,you have options to enable scripting.
The first two steps will be done by Basis team and the step(3) can be set by you.

If you cannot close the Pen Tool by switching to another tool, as a temporary measure you may try pressing P (for Pen).
To solve it, you may try the list.
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save curent artwork first, of course.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

Try going into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > select the account > account name , tap on SMTP (under the 'Outgoing Mail Server' heading) and then tap on your Primary Server and try entering your email account and password and see if it then works

Adobe customer portal site does not allow me to choose my product and coninue

How can I contact Adobe Support when I get the below screen with the continue button greyed out? It does not allow me to choose my own product "Captivate" or any other one.

I also have some more challenges:
When I email the support email address for Africa I get no response.
When I change my region to Africa it defaults back to USA.
I am in the process of buying a multi user licence for the entire Adobe suite for my company "MTN South Africa" and is concerend about the above in case we need support from Adobe. Using the USA server is incredibly slow and we waste a lot of time opening the forums, knowlege base etc. I just timed it by clicking on the "support" link and it takes 26 secpnds to open. You can imagine wating half a minute when you navigate through the forumes, help files. support etc.

Using Solution Manager (SM) to generate package and stack configuration
file for upgrade.
XXH is an HR, 640, with dual stack due to XSS. In SM, converted the
product version from ECC to ERP 2004 using SMSY_SWITCH_PRODUCT, there is no inconsistency.
Edited to add product instances - Portal Content and Enterprise Portal to link to XKP (JAVA system with Adobe Document Services, Application Server Java and Enterprise Portal. It is now showing in SMSY with the following product instances.
- SA ECC Server
- Portal content, pointing to another JAVA system XKP
- SAP NW - Entreprise Portal - pointing to XKP also
- SAP XSS - pointing to XKP also
In MOPZ, selected XXH, 'Upgrade with EHP' --> EHP4 on NW701. It shows the following warning
   Attention! Software Component Version ESA ECC-SE 501 is installed!
   Attention! Software Component Version BI CONT 3.53 is installed!
Then selected several technical usages
- ESA ECC-SE
- SAP ECC Server VPack successor
- Central Applications
- HCM
- Portal Content
- Portal Content Self Services
- HCM Self Services
- Self Services
However after the calculation it sill show the yellow warning below and
does not allow to continue, even if I try other technical usages.
Attention! Software Component Version BI CONT 3.53 is installed!
Anything missing here?

The document 'How to install EHP4' has the following

Since it was ECC 5.0 and converted the product version (using SMSY_SWITCH_PRODUCT), it is 'SAP ERP 2004'.

Having a problem with Firefox using Hotmail email. Inbox - as checking messages it freezes up or a 1 item window follows cursor and does not allow you to enter

I am having a problem accessing Hotmail email messages via Fireflox server. When I am in the Inbox, reviewing messages, it either freezes up or a "1 item" small icon window follows cursor and does not allow me to enter messages or do anything. Have to log off and start over. Suggestions>?

Can you detect any pattern to it, whether related to messages with attachments, or particular advertising on the page, etc.?
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
1. Clear Firefox's Cache

2. If needed, delete the site's cookies here
While viewing a page on the site, right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"

Then try reloading the page and logging in again. Does that help?
