That can be caused by a problem with the color profile for your display monitor or color profiles embedded in images.<br />
You can disable color management to test that.<br />
You can set the pref gfx.color_management.mode to 0 on the about:config page to disable Color Management.<br />
You need to close and restart Firefox to make the change effective.<br />

Which version? If it is 2004, then you are out of luck - Lion no longer supports apps written for PPC processors, only Intel. There is no solution, either go back to Snow Leopard or upgrade to a later version of Office (2008 or 2011), or switch to another bracnd (OpenOffice, iWork).

I have connected my new Macbook Air to my existing Samsung large external monitor with a VGA adaptor but I can't get the full mac desktop to display. No icons but then websites are coming up. Help! Further info: I am a complete newbie to Mac. Had three macs prior to 2000 then four PCs. Just come back and struggling a bit with the unfamiliarity. On my old PC laptop I could simply switch from the laptop screen to the large external monitor (and back) with the F4 function key. While I can get the background image from my MBA to display, that's it. Until I noticed on the far left of the external monitor, the very edge of one of the web pages I was on. So Idragged it over to display in the centre. But that's all that's there. And now I have gone out of those web pages but they are still displaying on the monitor. There is some wierd disconnect. I'm sure it is just a setting thing. Will keep searching for answer but any advice welcome!
Your dsplay is getting extended onto the external monitor. Chcnage the setting to duplicate it or only display on the external monitor and you should be fine,

I just updated to iTunes 11. This version will not allow me to change info on any songs. Have always use "command i" with previous versions. Anyone else experiencing this problem? A solution?
Hey! I had the same problem you did just today when I was trying to get my second iPhone to sync. What you need to do with music or anything extra that you doing you have to creat a second playlist or picture or anything that you would like to use, so that you can add to the second device that you are going to be using. I am not sure if that will help but it helped me out a lot!! Good luck!

I guess I put all info at top, sorry. Websites are displaying strange. When I use firefox they come up normal. Do I have flashback virus? what do I do to correct problem.
Thank you both for responding . After my posting I kept digging, I now know I don't have flashback. But, as to the strange part the pdf will show. Before problem that started about 2 weeks ago. The content was spread across the web page now it's all to the left going straight down. Also each action I get a slow script message and action is only completed when I hit cancel.

One of our phones received 240 voice mails from Verizon! I called support and they opened a ticket, the support guy was helpful and tried a bunch of stuff, but he couldn't figure it out and opened the ticket, etc., and told me it would probably be fixed in a couple of hours and that I'd hear from them. That was last night. I called this morning and another rep told me that I probably wouldn't hear anything until Monday.
The guy last night said they things went well during the storms on the East Coast for the network, but that there is something that is causing problems "rolling westward" since then. I am in western Colorado. Anyone else having any trouble?We were told by the rep that we had to do two different orders so we did them one at a time with him on the phone walking us through it. I'm not sure what numbers are the actual order numbers because it seems the order number on the one phone I did recieve was different from the number in the email. The "order numbers" on the two emails were (removed) and I think were stated as "online order number". The whole thing was just so dissapointing. Spending all that time on the phone and my pc (on hold waiting for a rep, having the rep try the order, walking us through the order), my wife thinking she was finally getting a new phone that worked, etc, and finding out TWO days later?? I actually kind of felt bad for the rep I talked with yesterday because he probably gets beat on all day long if this kind of thing happens often, which from the posts, seems like it does. Of course I was less than pleasant with him struggling to understand what had happened and what could be done about it. If something can be done it would be appreciated. A CS rep can speak with me as well personally on the (951) number if they wish. Thanks.

Strange anomaly with wireless-N; has anyone else experienced this???
Hi all, I purchased a 15" MacBook Pro 2.33 GHz Core 2 Duo back in February and therefore decided to upgrade to a new router supporting the N-draft standard when my two and a half year old Airport Express decided to die. I know that the claimed 5X increase on speed may not be fully realized as of yet, but the increased range is of huge benefit to me as I tend to use my laptop rather far away from the router; not to mention that the walls in my house are made of solid concrete. My local Best Buy (unfortunately there's no actual Apple Store within an hour of me) was out of Airport Extreme Base Stations so I therefore went with the Linksys WRT300N, as I'd heard good things about Linksys in the past and this was the only wireless-N router they had out at the time. Making a long story short, I was able to set up the router with my cable modem just fine, and make a successful connection with the MBP after purchasing the enabler from Apple. However, I recognized soon after this that my laptop began exhibiting behavior that it never even once had; sporadic freezes occurring at least three times a day. Baffled I tried (in order) various restarts, repairing of disk permissions, running maintenance scripts, clearing the NVRAM and PRAM (totally unrelated I know, but I just wanted to cover all bases possible), and lastly reinstalling Mac OS X; nothing made a difference. Finally it dawned upon me that this may be a problem with the new router, so I configured it to only broadcast a G wireless signal (before I had it set to only broadcast N, to take full use of the increased range/speed of the new standard) and have not experienced a freeze on my machine since. Of course it's just a bummer that now my airport signal strength fluctuates between only 1 and 2 bars (I was getting the full 4, before) and speed is down as well (I max out at about 2.5mbps, while before I was easily getting the full rated speed of my connection, which is 10mbps). Anywho, I'm just wondering if anyone else has experience a similar problem in using Wireless-N routers and if there are any work arounds for it. If not I guess I'll just be stuck using the G standard on my $150 N router... Thanks in advance!
I have this exact same problem, but it just seems to be a problem isolated within non Airport Extreme routers (including WRT300N, WRT350N, etc etc).

So I purchased the Samsung Continuum in June, and at first everything seemed fine. But after just a month or two the phone became very slow and would freeze often. I had to factory reset the phone several times, but the problems persisted. Shortly after that the phones alarm clock began to malfunction and would shut itself off after a few minutes or several hours. This is a problem because I rely on my phone as my primary alarm clock. My phone also freezes when I try to use the camera. When the phone freezes, it resends random previously sent text messages. Is anyone else having all of these issues? And will Verizon do anything about them. It is very frustrating.

Wow, sounds like alot of issues with your Continuum. My wife has one, so I am familiar with it. As far as the phone and freezing, what apps do you have installed? There are a number of troubleshooting techniques you can try. When you did the factory reset, did you re-install all of your apps? I just saw on Verizon's site that the Continuum does not support Safe Mode, so you may have to start removing apps one by one to see if there is an app that is causing your problems. Are you running any kind of advanced task killers or memory managers on your phone?
I would think the only thing Verizon would do is to replace the phone with a Certified Like New Continuum if it is within 1 year of your purchase. After that, you are limited in what they can/will do.
