KANBAN control cycle pk01 error

Hi friends,
I am using SAP 5.0 and material is WM activated, getting error while creating control cycle in PK01.
Error -: Storage bin 002 / / does not exist {Message no. PK033}
Note-:it can be solved with PKMC but in SAP 5.0 Pkmc T-code is not available.

Amit

Hi,
Check in the material master for the material, whether you have maintained any fixed bin in WM2 for the storage type 150.
Thanks,
JK

  • BAPI /FM to create /change KANBAN control cycle

    Hi
Is there any BAPI or FM to create or Change control cycle?
    Thanks.

    Check
    BAPI - BAPI_KANBANCC_ADDEVENTDRKANBAN
    Short Text
Create Event-Driven KANBAN for Control Cycle
    Functionality
With this method you can procure a material quantity for a control cycle. To procure this material quantity one or more kanbans are created in the control cycle and set to status EMPTY.
        The essential entry parameters are:
o   Control cycle (if the function module is called as a method for the object kanban control cycle, this parameter is not available, but given by the object.
        o   Material quantity
Information about the status change is issued.
COMMIT and ROLLBACK WORK: the function module does not carry out any COMMIT work. Command off. This must be ensured by the initiator after ending the function module. Each time the function module is called, a COMMIT WORK must take place. It is not permitted to call this FM several times and to post the result with a COMMIT WORK. If, during the process,
the FM comes across an error, in some cases the command ROLLBACK WORK wil be carried out. In these cases the kanban is either set to ERROR status, or in the parameter RETURN an error message is given.
    Hope this helps.

  • PP Kanban control cycle

    Hi team,
I was referring the below statement to understand the control cycle.
The Kanban Control Cycle business object is used to control the flow of information and material between the demand source and the supply source in a pull environment. It controls the material quantities in production. It defines a loop between demand source and the supply source for recurring replenishment.
In the above statement, it is mentioned that, it is linking the demand source and supply source. In SAP, how we are linking the the demand source and supply source?
While creating the supply area in PK05, we are providing the storage location. Is this supply source or demand source?
In SAP, where we are assigning the another source (supply / demand source)?
    Regards
    psk

    Hello Mario,
Thank you very much for your detailed explanation on storage bin and container.
    1. So, if the storage location is not WM managed, there will not be any storage bin. The storage location itself will act as a storage bin. Am i right?
You said that, Containers are the physical means in which materials are kept in this process. a container usually equals a KANBAN. Normally there are at least two (but can be more) containers in a control cycle.
    2. We are using pallets to replanish the supply area storage locations (production store which is near to work center). So in this example, the pallets are called as "containers". Am i right?
    Consider the below example:
    3. In control cycle i have maintained the number of kanban as 4. As you said above, i need to maintain 4 containers. But i have only one field to maintain the container. How to maintain 4 containers in one field?
    Thank you.

  • Kanban - Control cycle

    Hello all!
I am trying to create a control cycle for Kanban in my test system. I have created replenishment strategy in Customizing for Kanban and this was transferred all to my test system. When I want to input the address for a vendor it says: Replenishment strategy in plant ... does not exist.
I suppose there must be a problem with my Replenishment strategy which I have created in Customizing for Kanban. I was not sure about what I need to specify. I have specified plant, type of Procurement:it is an external Procurement, working with Scheduling agreements, Order type - LP, GR - 101, Signal lock- 0. These are all information, which I have specified I was not sure about the rest.
Please could anyone help me ??

    Hi,
I answered to few of the threads, hope it will help you, if required any further info please let us know.

Try Table PKCH and field PKCMG.This would be your best bet.

  • ABAP report to use in analysis of Kanban Control Cycle

    Hi Experts,
I have requirement to develop a new custom report 'Kanban history'.
When someone makes a change to transaction 'PK02', we need to have Kanban History of that change in our new custom report.    Also,  when someone makes a change to transaction PK13N or PK12N on a kanban correction, we need to capture that history to be able to followup on status  changes  or kanban corrections made from that screen.
As an example,  this kanban history report can be displayed much like the material master history is displayed.
I need your suggestion to achieve this requirement.
    Thanks,
    Leo

    Hi Leo,
    1. Create a Ztable with the fields you want to capture.
    2. Find some EXIT's/ BADI or Enhancment points in the t-codes during SAVE.
    3. Save ammendments done using the t-code to your Z table .
    4. Develop report based on the data you have in your Z table.
I also had a similar requirement to capture the PO ammendment data and  display in custome reports
    same logic worked
    Hope this helps.

  • SNC Kanban Issue - Control Cycle Master Data

    Hi,
We are testing the SNC Kanban scenario with contracts (PO) between ECC & SNC.
We have created a control cycle for the ECC material and have sent the Master Data to SNC. We are now trying to send over the control cycle info to SNC and are getting hte following message when we run KANBAN_MD_TRANSMIT:
"Kanban control cycle 70666: No address data available; processing terminated"
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    regards.

    Hi Anjan Bellur
As per the error message, the address details for your supply area are not maintained
Kindly go to the transaction PK05 in r/3 system
For your plant and Production supply area, Shift+F5
    Maintain the address details
Then the reported error message will not appear

  • A trigger blocking function  for control cycle in Kanban

    Hi,
I wantet to change the status in Kanban. I get this error u201CA trigger blocking function was defined for the control cycle in the replenishment strategyu201D. I don't want to set a period of blocking function. how can I deactivate it.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Pls. check the following setting :
First in PK13n ( KANBAN Board) check whether X is marked with KANBAN Number e.g. 1X.
If so then replenishment will not be triggered because KANBAN is locked.
To unlock the KANBAN pls do the following :
    Go to -
    > PKMC ( Control Cycle Maintanance) in Change Mode----> Select Control Cycle -> Go to Display Control Cycle ( Glass Icon)--> on top of details of kanban cycle choose option ---> Display Kanbans ( Spectacle Icon )
Select it and go inside : Inside pop up appearing check first Column : Lkln ( Lock Indicator).
Remove the tick in check box of lock indicator for respective KANBAN for which  you want to trigger replenishment.
Pls. try above settings and revert back if still problem persists.
    Reward if problem solved.

  • Change KANBAN Status Sequence in Control Cycle

    Hi guys,
Can anyone please detail which are the implications if I should change the status sequence for a control cycle, which is in use now?
    Regards,
    Ileana

    Hi
In the kanban process the actual sequence is
    Wait>Empty>In process > Intransit> Full > In use>Empty.This is complete cycle
If ur present kanban bin status is "In use" then then u changed the sequence in the control cycle.
When ever u trigger the kanban card, then system  move to control cycle and checks the kanban sequence by referring the standard sequence it move to next status.
Eg: Ur present sequence is like
    Empty>In process> In -transit --> Full -->  Empty
Now ur bin status is "Full" then u have changed the sequence in the control cycle.
    New sequence is like
    "Empty--> In process > Full> In use -->Empty"
Now u triggered the kanban card of " Full" status bin, then system refer first sequence in the control cycle and then standard sequence then status is changing to " In use"
Means when ever u change the sequence in the control cycle system checks the sequence in the control cycle by reference of standard sequence it will changes the bin status.
So if ur bin is in the "In -use " status, then what ever the next  status in the sequence is taken when u trigger the kanban signal

  • Control cycle for KANBAN.

I want to cosume componenets using my KANBAN BINS.
I maintained my supplying areas.  and when coming to the control cycle. Do I have to maintain control cycle for each component that I use in maufacturing against each supply area?  or is it only for FERTS

    Hi,
    1. When you tell consume compoenents means you are talking about Goods issue.
    2. Kanban needs to be done for a Inhouse prodcued material or externall procured material
    3. In both cases it does a Goods receipt and relevant goods issue posting.
    4. so if you only need to do consumption it is not possible.
    5. Genearlly it can be maitained for the FERT or halbs which has  bom, routing releavent master data
6.For the inhouse manufacture kanban below is the highlevel step
    7. and wehen you do status cahnges like full to empty a planned order or prod order will be created.
    8. when you change status empty to ful then GR will be posted and GI will be done immediatelly ( based on the control cycle)
    9. Kindly refer the attached link for further details.

  • SUPPLY AREA  & Controlling Cycle

    Hello,
I am working with PP REM scenario.
I want to know more about the customizing and master data and Function of following terms.
    1. SUPPLY AREA
    And
    2.  Controlling Cycle
    Maulik

    Dear Maulik,
    Dear Maulik,
The Master data required for Kanban production control includes
1.Supply Area:A supply area is an interim storage location on the shop floor which is used to provide material directly to the
production line or the work center.
The supply area can be a shelving area, an area marked off on the ground, special boxes and so on. Defining the supply areas
for a plant is part of the material flow design for KANBAN. The supply area is defined in Customizing and is assigned the following
    objects:
    Plant
    Storage location
    Person responsible
Goods movements are posted to the storage location assigned to the supply area.
One storage location can be assigned to several supply areas, however, one supply area cannot be assigned to several storage locations.
2.Control Cycle: The control cycle defines the relationship between the demand source and the supply source.
The control cycle contains the following control data for KANBAN production:
    ●     Kanban circulation, that is, the number of kanbans and the quantity per kanban or per call item as well as the number of load carriers
    ●     The basic data required for automatic kanban calculation, if necessary
    ●     Replenishment strategy
    ●     Printing kanbans, if necessary
    ●     The delivery address, if necessary
3.Replenishment Stragegy: The replenishment strategies define in the control cycle how replenishment is to take place:
    Using in-house production
    Using external procurement
    Using stock transfer
The replenishment strategies also determine whether and which replenishment elements (run schedule quantities, production orders, and so on) are created by the kanban signal.
The replenishment strategy is assigned to the material in the control cycle.
1.You can create the supply area by executing PK05
2.Control cyce can be created using PK01.
