  • Can no longer access the Canon Remote UI Management Mode (Portal) (on my Desktop Computer)

I set up access to the Canon Remote UI Management Mode (Portal) using my IPv4 address so that I could make changes to the settings of my imageCLASS MF6160dw directly from my Desktop Computer. That has worked flawlessly for almost 3 months. Then, all of a sudden 3 days ago, I started getting this message: This page can't be displayed I have not added nor removed any equipment or software to my Desktop Computer. I also reconfirmed that my IPv4 address was correct. And I try to access the "Portal" numerous times at different times of the day & on different days. My Desktop Computer is a Dell XPS 8700 Special Edition running Windows Pro 8.1 (64-BIT) How can I regain access to the "Portal"?

I never got a reply from anyone.
But for those who viewed this thread & may also have this problem, I finally figured out that the IP Address had actually CHANGED.
How & why it changed, I do not know.
But, the last 2 digits of .15 changed to .2
I can now access the Canon Remote UI Management Mode (Portal) by using the CHANGED IP Address.
    Hope this helps someone.

  • Dynpro ABAP with Floorplan Manager in Portal!

    Dear Member,
I havenu2019t worked on Portal yet. I worked on Web Dynpro ABAP and know how to do the Component and Application configuration from SE80 in SAP GUI.
Can we able to configure the Web Dynpro ABAP with Floorplan Manager in Portal? If yes, how to Personalize, Configure and Customize the Dynpro ABAP with Floorplan Manager in Portal?
If we have to do it from SE80, then we have to call the application URL with parameter u2018sap-wd-configIDu2019. Where should I update this URL parameter in the portal?
Basically I want to know how to perform Personalization, Configuration and Customization of Web Dynpro ABAP with Floorplan Manager and want to see the effect when customized application called from Portal.
Please let me know, if I need to more clear on my question.
    u2026Naddy

    Hi Naddy,
If you have configured the component and application configurations in SAP GUI then in order to display it in the portal, you need to create a webdynpro based iView. In the same Iview just fill one of the parameters 'APPLICATION' as name of the webdynpro applicaiton and the parameter 'CONFIGURATION NAME' as name of the application configuration that you create for the Webdynpro application.
Do not forget to implement the required interface of the Floor plan that you are using(OIF, GAF) in your webdynpro component.
    Thanks,

For what its worth what I do is to split a long movie project into sub-projects each not longer than 5 - 10 minutes.  I export (=share in the new terminology) each one separately.  When (and only when) I am happy with all the (shared) pieces I join them together using Quicktime 7 Pro.
You cannot "render as you go along" in iMovie.  You could  join the subprojects in iMovie and re-share the combined project but this takes much longer than the few minutes it takes to stitch together in Quicktime 7.
There are a number of advantages to this approach:
1:  Sharing takes a long time.  As soon as I share a projects and view them (in high definition) I find things that need correcting/improving  - but at least one only has to re-share the affected sub-project(s) at not the whole lot.
2: iMovie 9 seemed to get more sluggish if there was a lot in the timeline - I don't know yet whether this is also the case with iMovie 10
3: If something goes seriously wrong you have only lost part of your work.
4: I find it easier to keep track of what I am doing on a timeline which is not too long.
You are going to need a lot of GB storage on iCloud!
Best of luck with the project!

  • Flow management with portals

    Hi all,
I work with flow control in the WLPS and have some problem.
I am able to invoke unportalized JSP from a pipelet but cann't manage to
return back to the portal home page.
To invoke an unportalized JSP I use the following sequense in the
    webflow.properties:
    agentsMgr.jsp.link(agentNew)=portals/myPortal/agentNew.jsp
where agentsMgr.jsp is a portlet and agentNew.jsp is a particular JSP.
Now I would like to return back to the portal home page.
I tried to use the following code:
    in JSP:
    WebflowJSPHelper.createWebflowURL(pageContext,"agentsNew.jsp","link(portalHome)",true)
    in webflow.properties: *
    .jsp.link(portalHome)=portals/myPortal/portal.jsp
    and got an exception.
    I changed approach and used
    in JSP:
    WebflowJSPHelper.createWebflowURL(pageContext,"agentsNew.jsp","link(portalHome)","&portalized=true&dest="+getHomePage(request),
    true)
    in webflow.properties: nothing
and the result was the same.
I noticed that getHomePage(request) always retrives null although I have
    used <%@ page extends="com.beasys.commerce.portal.admin.PortalJspBase"%>
Any pointers about using flow management with portals would be greatly
    appreciated.
    Alex

Are you trying to build an interaction system within OBIEE? If that is the case, then OBI might not be an ideal tool as it is a Business Intelligence reporting tool.

  • Why is the Profile Manager web portal inaccessible after update to 3.2.1 ?

We run the Profile Manager in OS X as an MDM. We also use the Device Enrollment Program.
After updating to 3.2.1, the web portal for Profile Manager became inaccessible, and DEP checkbox in Profile Manager became unchecked.
I've attempted to re-enroll in the DEP, but it always rejects the Token I give.
I don't know if the two problems are related or not.
    Does anyone have a solution?
This is the log from the Profile Manager Service Log when I attempt to log in to the Profile Manager portal.

  • 500   Internal Server Error in Identity Management in Portal

    Hi all,
We have just upgraded our portal server to SP13 (2004s).
Post upgrade, I am getting an error in Identity Management.
When I search for a user, and try viewing his/her details, I get the following error.
    500   Internal Server Error
Failed to process request. Please contact your system administrator.
The funny thing is, it works fine for some users and throws an error for some others.
Can anyone suggest what could be done to resolve this?
    Regards,
    Preksha

    Hi,
the error may due to duplicate entries of users.
go to logfile and check the users.

  • Best practice for management of Portal personalisation

    Hi
I've been working in our sandpit client figuring out all portal personalisation and backend/frontend customisation for ESS (with some great help from SDN). However I'm not clear on what best practice is when doing this for 'real'.
I've read in places that objects to be personalised should be copied first. Elsewhere I've read about the creating of a new portal desktop for changes to the default framework page etc
What I'm not clear on is the strategy for how you manage and control all the personalisation changes.  For example, if you copy an iview and personalise where do you copy it to? Do you create "Z" versions of all the folders of the standard content or something else?
Do you copy everything at the lowest possible object level and copy or highest?
Implications of applying support or enhancement packs?
We're going pretty vanilla to begin with in that there will just be a single ESS role so things should be fairly simple from that point of view, but I've trawled all around SDN without being able to find clear guidance on the overall best pratice process for personalisation.
    Can anyone help?
    Regards
    Phil
Edited by: Phil Martin on Feb 15, 2010 6:47 PM

    Hi Phil,
To keep things organized I would create an new folder (so don't use the desktop one). The new folder should sit under Portal Content. In that folder create a folder for ESS, then inside that one for iViews (e.g. COMPANY_XYZ >>> ESS >>> iViews) then copy via delta link the iViews you want from the standard SAP folders.
Then you will have to create another folder for your own roles (e.g. ESS >>> Roles). Inside this folder create a new role and add your iViews (again via delta link). Or you could just copy one of the standard SAP roles into this folder and not bother with copying the iViews. What you do depends on how many changes you intend to make, sometimes if the changes are only small it is easier to copy the entire SAP role (via delta link) and make your changes.
You should end up with something link this in your PCD:
    Portal Content
         COMPANY_XYZ
              ESS
                   iViews
                        iView1
                        iView2 etc..
                   Roles
                        Role1
                        Role2 etc...
Then don't forget to assign your new roles to your users or groups.
    Hope that makes sense.

    Simon

  • Document management in portal

    Hi,
My requirement is to upload documents in portal.
I had 3 reporting roles in portal which will be assigned to users
I requirement is to have a tab u201CDocumentsu201D (Page/Work set) in each role  where a Folder will be displayed to user and when user expands folder it should be displayed with all the available documents (word/pdf) and a search box should be included so that the user can perform wild card searches on the list of available documents
Please advise how can I achieve this

    Hi,
in order to perfom a search inside the folder, the option is available like when you open the folder and go to folder navigation -> there is a search option. From here you can perform search. But, for better search result, index needs to be created. also you can take help of  km search iview after index creation.
documents are stored inside km. you can do version management in order to keep older documents with same name. check help.sap, lots of docs are available on km.

    Hi Marek
I have also experienced the same problem with our Portals.  Though the patches are applied and no errors noticed from SDM do you know the reason why this file config_local.properties is not updated properly.  When I applied these patches on the DEV box I did not get into this problem, but when I did the same patches on a QA box I got into this problem ?? Any idea why?  Can we figure out these issues by running analyzer after applying the patches ??  thanks in advance.

  • Content Management in Portal How to

    Hi,
I´m Learning XML Forms but I have red that it is too static and I was wondering how do we manage content within Portal and KM? is there another tool to create and deploy content within the Portal? or it has to be developed and called from an iView?
    Thanx in Advanced!
    Gerardo J

    Hello Gerardo,
I agree with you that XML Forms are static, that means you create one form for each common structure document that is to be published.
But this functionality has its own advantage, check this link for more infos:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/69/d96b9ba84611d5993600508b6b8b11/content.htm
Once you have your XMLForms ready use these forms to publish documents and then show them in you IView.
Here is a link how you can configure CommandGroups in your IView and show available XMLForms.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/8d/2813418366f023e10000000a155106/content.htm
We have also a Business Package easyWCM which stands for "easy Web Content Management" which exactly addresses your requirements.
You can check our product at http://www.easyWCM.com
To get an idea how XMLForms are shown on IViews you can check the screenshot of easyWCM.

There are session management examples for Java and PL/SQL portlets in the JPDK. There's a link to the JPDK off the OTN home page.
