Lead status flow

Is there a way to rename/ update the lead status's - (we want to track more than just qualified and converted), but don't
necessarily want it to become an opportunity.

No. it's a read only picklist, in other words, a system field. you can't change the value in the picklist.
when lead is created, it's qualifing. after that, you can only changed the status with the push bottons on the top, like convert, reject, archive and so one...

    I have created one Lead, and on the basis of Qualification level action triggers and Ativity getting generated.
    I want to know that it is possible by using functions(Action Profile/conditions) in activity, If i change the status reason of Activity (as Accepted) Earlier Leads status would change.(as Close)

    What I understand is, u wish to change the status of preceding lead transaction when the activity status reason is changed to accepted.
    1.  This functionality can be achieved using ORDER_SAVE Badi. This Badi implementation shall check the activity reason changed to accepted, if yes, read the doc flow, get the lead transaction and change its status to close.
    2. As per my knowledge use of action profiles and conditions will not be helpful in this case.Else, create an action definition as Activity reason changed, put a condition which like Activity reason= Accepted.
    In the action definition Processing type use method call.
    Here u will have to create a new implementation of the BADI of action profile, and put the same logic as stated in point 1.
    But in think implementing point 1 should be easier.

  • Automating the Lead Status "Rejected" to "Archived"

    My Customer, wants the Rejected leads to be archived automatically. Manually we can do it from Lead Detail page, where as daily n number leads will be rejected so manually it might be a problem. Can we "update values"(Lead Status field) by writing workflows.Can this be done.

  • How to use standard status flows in Appraisals.

    I have designed appraisal templates for my client. The flow of template is as follows.
    Employee fills the tasks he will do in that year in the template. No ratings for this. Its only acts as a reference for the appraiser when he appraises at the year end.
    Appraiser reviews it. If not ok, has to send it back to employee. Employee has to change and send it again.
    At the year end appraiser rates the employee.
    After that the reviewer rates the employee.
    The reviewer ratings are taken into consideration.
    What are the status flows I need for this process to happen in the system.

    What is the status flow I should use for the two pages of In Preperation
    What is the status flow I should use for the page In Planning
    What is the status flow I should use for the page In Review
    What is the status flow I should use for the page In Process
    What is the status flow I should use for the page Completed
    What is the status flow I should use for the page Approved

    Hi Sasi,
    For your process, you need not use all status. As I understand, your appraisal process has two phases, phase 1- at the begining of the year and phase 2- at the year end.
    So For Phase 1- you can use In Planning status and for Phase 2 you can use In Review or In process status. Or If you want to keep it very simple, you can use In process status seperately for the case when the appraisal template will be pushed to Reviewer.
    Do not create any substatus for In preparattion and Completed status. It doesnt work. For In planning design few substatus where appraisee is the owner of the template. Also create pushbutton for an appraisee. Clicking this pushbutton will enable appraisee to push template to next level i.e to manager. For manager design two pushbuttons as approve or reject.
    Similary, you can design the status flow for the next phases.
    For configuring status substaus and pushbuttons, go to transaction code OOHAP_BASIC.

  • Objective Setting & Appraisals - Status Flow

    Hello,
    I'm working on OSA module.
    When i configure the status flow, i have two options regarding the state of the appraisal after status change:
    - Save and Change to Display Mode
    - Save and Exit Appraisal Document.
    My requirement is that the appraisal is saved and user can continue editing.
    Is there a way to add an option here?

    Typically if you are using push buttons to move the document into a new status / sub status, you would be moving the document to another person in the process, so I'd be interested to know what the exact requirement is. Are you wanting to put it in a new sub status for reporting reasons?
    If you are making changes and want to change the status, but still stay within the document and edit, im not sure you can do that through standard configuration. Have you tried not selecting one of the two options and leaving it blank? I wonder what that would do?

    I am trying to change lead status when saving. I have configured action profile as follows:
    Created new action in action profile
    Processing type: Method Call
    Method Used: Complete_document ( Am I using right Method?)
    Processing Parameters: PROCESS_TYPE = LEAD (LEAD is my TX type)...Here I have dout ...which parameter I have to pass here.
    Created new condition
    Defined start condition as follows:
    &CRM Lead.System Status& = I0802 ( I0802 = Complete).

    Using method COMPLETE_DOCUMENT, you don't need to set any parameter.
    I still don't get you for start condition :
    &CRM Lead.System Status& = I0802 ( I0802 = Complete).
    Because using COMPLETE_DOCUMENT, once you run it, it will set the document
    system status to I1005 - COMPLETED.
    Is &CRM Lead.System Status& = I0802 your last system status you want to
    change to I1005 ?

  • Performance Management - Appraisal Catalog - Status Flow Tab

    Good afternoon experts,
    So I am configuring a performance template (object type VA) and I noticed on the tab, "status flow" that there is a section at the bottom called "Status Change: Description"
    Has anyone used this field before, so for example, if you are configuring the status flow from "In Planning" to "In Review" you have the option of maintaining this field.
    Whenever I try to use it, I get a critical error message (An unexpected technical error has occurred), and phap_catalog_pa exits back to the SAP Easy Access screen.  Any thoughts on this?

    First of all I would suggest to run report RHHAP_CUSTOMIZING_CHECK to check your configuration, it might help identify the issue.
    The reason for the error message could also be, that no valid object id could be assigned to the criterion due to the definition of the number range.
    Please see table NRIV (or transaction SNRO) for number range object RP_PLAN: As no specific subgroup is defined for object type 'VC' (criterion), the entry for subgroup $$$$ is taken to determine the next valid number. The internal number range for subgroup '$$$$' is defined with the interval 'From number' 50000000 'to number' 50000099.
    However as you can check in table PLOGI, all those numbers are used already for existing criterions. So there is no number free in the defined interval, which can be assigned internally to the new object.
    For the criterion group (object type VB) the same interval is used,but here some IDs are still free to be used for object type VB in this interval.
    So the recommendation is to enhance the number range interval.You could either enhance the existing interval for subgroup $$$$, or create specific ones for object types VC, VB etc.(see notes 81458 and 87865.)
    Check as well your relationships, in a previous message I worked on the problem was with missing relationships in table T777Z
    and T777E.

  • Appraisals status flow settings error handling

    Dear Appraisals guru,
    We have requirement for appraisals with two levels ( Reporting Officer and Final Reviewing Officer ) for which we can use the role of Mgr and higer level Mgr . And for column access Final Appraisal and Part Appraisal .
    I have made the template with the column access for each elements but except the Status Flow part .  Kindly suggest the status flow configuration part which will process without error messages .
    My template  have three sections, The 2 sections of the templates will be filled by the 1st level appraisal and the last section of the template will be reviewed and filled by the second level appraisal ( the reviewing officer).
    I want to use the following statuses--
    In Preparation , In Process,( for Reporting Officer's entry),  In Review ( for Reviewing Officer's entry) , and finally Completed .
    Presently the push button entry , target status and substatus entries Next status entries are not matching throwing errors.

    Dear Alok,
    Since you have already designed your template you must be familier with the configuration tables. Using table OOHAP_BASIC, you can add/ delete/ rename your status and substatus.
    Once the status and substaus are designed the same will be available at Category level. Once you select those entries, it will be available in appraisal template level (Object VA)
    Based on your requirement, design a status flow and related pushbuttons. Say for example, when status is in Planning, appraisal template should be with Employee and he/ she should see a pushbutton as "Sent to Manager" (Example). When he clicks on this pushbutton, based on the entries made in the status flow in the "Target status" (Say In Planning) and "Target Substatus" (with Manager), it should go to Manager.
    Similary design each step to meet your requirement.

  • Lead Status Field Updation Using Workflows

    Could anyone suggest me how to update Lead Status field using workflows since that field not visible at the workflow level. we can update using Lead Qualification Script . Is there any other way other then qualification script. Any help would be appreciated.

    The Status field for Lead is a read-only field. The updates you see are done by the system. Workflow cannot update read-only fields.

  • Adding more Push buttons in Status Flow of Objective Settings & Appraisals

    Hi,
    In my Template Design, under status flow tab, we are able to create new push buttons.
    SAP is allowing, to create only upto 3 push buttons per outbound status/sub-status combination.
    In our application, we need 5 push buttons in one of the outbound status/sub-status.
    Can any expert suggest me what should I do?

    Raghu,
    The "NEXT STATUS" field specifies the status(save &leave or save &display), but you're talking about the status flow change, which is very much possible with in the same tab "Status Flow".
    There is a filed called Pushbutton, this is where you select the pushbutton for the form to change the status flow. This staus flow change you can define in the field "TARGET STATUS", if you have any substatus in that status you can define that in " TARGET SUBSTATUS".

    What happened?
    The current application program detected a situation which really
    should not occur. Therefore, a termination with a short dump was
    triggered on purpose by the key word MESSAGE (type X).
    What can you do?

  • Code to change LEAD status

    Hi Experts,
    I have a requirement, in which the user wants to change the LEADs STATUS via a Z-Code.
    Means, we have a WebDyn Pro report displaying the list of Leads in ALV with their status. User wants to change the staus of Lead their itself in the report and save it. User dont want extra work effort of opening LEAD maintainence screen and changing status their & then saving it, rather user wants to update the status then & their in the webdyn pro report.
    Hence to acheive this I found two Function module : CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN & CRM_ORDER_SAVE. Unfortunately, I cannot figure out, what all IMPORTING/CHANGING paparameters need to be passed in those FM.
    Has anyone faced similar situation, if yes then please provide me a sample code.
    Or can anyone put some other idea to update that status. ??

    You can use CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN and populate the parameter IT_SERVICE_OS
    or use BAPI_OPPORTUNITY_CHANGEMULTI and populate the parameter SERVICE_OS.

    Any thoughts to create an automated email notification for the below scenario;
    Manager creates and assigns NEW Leads to Sales Rep A, If Sales Rep A does not update the Lead status within 30 days.
    An email notification should be sent to Manager and Sales Rep or only to Manager that the Lead Status was not updated for past 30 days.

    I am trying to create Category Group and Category using the Tcode: PHAP_CATALOG.We are implementing on EHP7.While configuring Category group,in status tab im not able to choose In preparation,In Planning and Completed statuses as they are been grayed  out.And it is showing me error as a result i am not able to save it.
    How can i resolve this error.Did i miss any configuration part. Pls guide.

    Execute transaction code OOHAP_BASIC, you will see list of fields on the left .Please double click on Pushbutton (status Flow) tab. You will see list of pushbuttons on the right. Select your pushbutton and double click onstatus
