Limit Order

Hi,
We are working on Classic Scenario. When the user tries to raise a limit order shopping cart, the storage location is not saved in the Shopping Cart and hence not reflected in the PO in R/3. The plant and storage location in user profile are defaulted but still the shopping cart and PO contain only the plant code and not the storage location. The user wants storage location in both.
Please suggest a solution.
Regards,
Manish.

Hi. When you create a limit item there is less information available in the cart item.
You can not change plant, company code and so on, only the defaults work.
We asked SAP and they said the system was built like this.
This probably applies to storage location. You can not have a limit order for stock, so they probably exclude storage location.
If you want to set it try the BBP_CREATE_PO_BACK BADI to change it in the PO, or BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI to change it in the cart.
Regards,
Dave.

  • Limit Order Confirmation Reversal - Balancing Issues

    Hello,
We currently use SRM 5.5 and have an issue with the balances on our goods receipts and service entries for limit orders.
We use ML81N to reverse off our service entry sheets but it is still leaving balances on the goods receipt which appears to be caused by the invoice values.
For example we have a limit PO that has had the following happen:
Confirmation posted in SRM for £3390.00 which transferred successfully to the backend PO.
    Invoice posted for £3371.70
Service entry revoked and deleted using ML81Nu2013 SEN balance is zero
Goods receipt balance is £18.30, only the value of £3371.70 has been reversed but before saving the service entry reversal the value in ML81N did show as £3390.00. So for some reason it is picking up the invoice value and reversing that instead of the goods receipt value.
Does anyone know why this is happening and a way to get rid of the balance on the goods receipt now that the service entry sheet is deleted?
    Thanks
    Lisa

Hi. This is probably more of a LIV / MM issue than SRM, but transaction MR11 will clear the GR/IR imbalance for you if there is no other way. It effectively posts a document like a dummy GR or invoice for the balance. It obviously won't try and pay anything to anyone.

  • Custom field in limit order Details screen

    hi all,
i am trying to add cuf.field called purch. Group which is not present in limit orders details -> Basic data tab. one of the structure has the value of purchasing group so i didn't include any custom field in shopping cart items structure "CI_BBP_ITEM_SC". just i want to map this value to the custom screen field for display only .when i see in the SAP GUI it is visible but not in the ITS Screen. do i need to change the internet service file if so Pls help me..
    helpfull answers will be rewarded...
    Thanks,
    Henry

    Hi Henry,
You can use the 'Append structure' concept to add custom screen field and use one of the BAPIs to assign values to it. The value could come from the shopping cart item structure.
You dont need to change the ITS for it.
    Thanks,

  • Automatic creation of limit order

    Hi,
We have a limit SC with an assigned source of supply (contract). But after approval this SC becomes a PR in ECC and not a PO directly. We are in classic scenario and all SC with source of supply should do that (including limit orders).
    What could be wrong?
    br
    Anders

when Buyer creates a limit shopping cart after approval PO must be created since partner function registered as 19 .
so kindly check any BADI implemented to change the above behavior .
Note 1243836 - Manual entry of invalid contract allowed in contract limit
Note 1417491 - Adding a contract is not allowed in limit Shopping Cart
Is it works fine without contract ?
    sap rule
In the extended classic scenario, contract limit fields were enabled for limit Sopping Cart.
In the extended classic scenario, you cannot assign a contract to a limit item. In the classic scenario, you can, as long as the confirmation and invoice flag is checked (it is not possible if only the invoice flag is checked). However, this is possible in the local scenario, that is you can assign a contract to a limit item in the local case (not extended), if the invoice only flag is checked.

  • Limit Orders - Confirmations Vs Invoice Only

    Hello,
We are using SRM 5.0 and currently have confirmation and invoice set for our limit orders.
We have various issues with this so I am looking at removing the confirmation option and using the invoice only method. We mainly use limit orders for paying our electricity/telephone bills etc.
Does any one else use the invoice only option and if so do you have workflow approval or use an alternative, i.e. off-line method for the approval of the invoice or no approval at all? The confirmation is currently acting like an approval/check before the invoice is posted and it is a risk to post the invoice without some sort of approval.
Any feedback including issues surrounding this would be very useful as Iu2019m struggling to find any good information on limit orders and their functionality.
    Many Thanks
    Lisa Pallas

Have you tried to create a screen variant (tx SHD0). Search for the proper program and screen. You the have the posibility to hide fields in the screen. The advantage to make use of screen variant is that it is independent of a release upgrade.

  • Limit order items to be sent back to sourcing on deletion

    Hi all,
We are on SRM 7.1 Extended classic.
Can anyone confirm if the limitatin on the LIMIT orders not being sent back to SOURCING even after the PO items are deleted is stilll valid in SRM 7.1.???
Also we want to use LIMIT orders instead of service orders in SRM 7 as there are seevral issues when users try creating carts with the SERVICE HIERARCHY.To avoid the manual errors,we would like to use limit orders in SRM and then if required when the PO items are deletd in SRM the items should be sent back to sourcing.
If the limitation for the LIMIT orders items still hold true for SRM 7,then is there a way or enhancement to enable the sending of limit orders back to sourcing once the items are deleted in the PO in SRM?
I know the report responsible for snding items back to sourcing is BBP_GET_STATUS_2 and CLEAN_REQREQ_UP but is there a way we can handle the sendng of the PO items back to sourcing base don some custom logic for limit orders or for that matter any type of PO created in SRM?
    Pls advise.

The note 1247922 is for EXTERNAL requirements/Purchase requsitions in ECC backend system and is not what I'm looking for.
Neverthless,I will create an OSS message with SAP and check if tehre is any enhancmenet available for sending limit items back to sourcing on PO deletion. Will update the thread accordingly
    Thanks for the help.

  • Limit Order Shopping Cart issue

    Hi SRM Gurus,
I have some issue regarding Limit Order SC.
Currenty I am using SRM 4.0 and doing the Limit Order SC.
The Limit Order SC has been created successfully in SRM and the PO is also getting populated in ECC.
    But the problem is like,
When we create Limit Order(blanket) Shopping cart, then there has 2 options to do that.
    (Under Follow-Up Action)
    1. Confirmation and invoice
    2. Invoice Only.
Depending on the above in ECC, the Item category for the PO will be D(Confirmation and Invoice only)and B (Invoice Only).
But for my case it's always showing Item Category D in both of the cases. So as because of this issue, some thing is going wrong from ECC perspective.
So please help me out from this problem.
Thnaks for your help in advance.
    Full points for the answer.
    Thanks again,
    Shraman

    Hi Shraman,
We would like to start using limit shopping cart, but do not know how to implement this.
Can you enlighten me in regards to this?
Can you do it without using extended classic scenario?
I have the option in the shop on behalf but not in normal shopping
    Thanks in advance,
    Thomas

  • Limit Order & SAP note 1355894

    Hi,
We are running SRM 550 at SP13, SAP have released a note 1355894 in SP16 that seems to imply that the category type for a Limit order should be B = Limit not D = Service.  That seems logical?
Our current system configuration enters an S, and although in general this works OK, we do occasionally have an issue when a user tries to reverse a limit order confirmation in SRM. The system will not allow it because a service entry sheet has been generated for the back end PO.
As we have not activated the service part of SRM, our users do not have access to reverse the service entry sheet and so this function must be carried out by a BPO or CCC team member with full access.
Does everyone end up with an S for a Limit Order item category type in their back end system?
If you have this, what problems do you get.?
Can anyone who has implemented the note 1355894 in an SRM 550 system let me know what the effect was?
    Thanks in advance

    Muthu,
    Thanks for your reply.
If I am understanding you correctly, this note only works where a supplier has No Confirmation Expected entered against the master record.
The note is not very clear on this point and then the question remains, why do we need to use S for one entry and B for another?
As we always expect confirmations for all our PO's it would appear that the note may have no effect on our systems so rather than applying the note in advance we will wait until we get to the SP16 application in the year ????.
Thanks for the info this question is now answered.

  • Vendor in Limit Order SC Template won't stay changed when creating PO.

We are currently using SRM 4.0 in an extended classic Scenario.  The problem we have experience is as follows:
User creates a SC with a Limit Order template that has a vendor already assigned.  Once the template is selected the vendor is then changed along with other information necesarry to create the SC.  The SC is then saved and approve and a PO is created.  The PO in the backend system (R/3) has the vendor that was originally on the template.  When pulling up the PO in SRM the vendor shows the vendor that was originally on the template as well but when clicking on the details button and going into the PO the PO shows the vendor that was changed at the time the SC was created.  So the vendor in SRM is correct but the vendor in the backend shows the original vendor which is not correct.
Has anyone seen this issue?  Can you not use a template that already has a source of supplier and change it once it's use to create a SC?

    Hi Robert,
I think, this issue is already resolved by SAP .
Please look for OSS note on this issue.
I have found notes which may be useful
Note 708047 - Error when transferring items of old limit shopping baskets.
Note 724261 - Limit: Error during creation of local purchase order
SAP has provided an independent component for Limit PO,please give a blank search on that component with component.

  • Limit Order Shopping Cart Invoice posting issue

    Hello Experts,
I am not able to post invoice for LIMIT ORDER SC(I am using Extended classic scenario); using MIRO when i enter PO no. in the specified field ; in the line item both the amount & quantity appears as zero. and it does not allow to change or edit. Ideally it should allow the posting of invoice but with block payment.
The same thing i tried for "Describe requirement SC" and it allowed me for posting invoice even without GR/Confirmation.

    Hi,
You can enter the Invoice, remove the GR/IR based invoice indicator from the invoice tab of the PO line item.
    thanks

  • Confirmations for Limit Orders in ECS

In extended classic scenario when creating a limit order, there is an error in process in the local PO related to the follow-on documents for goods receipt with the following error message:
'Combination of GR/IR control not allowed for external services'
It is only possible to create the order in the backend if the Invoice Only option is selected in the Limit Order, but then this means it is not possible to create a confirmation for Limit Orders!
Has anyone else come across this problem in ECS for limit orders?  As far as I am aware the functionality should work with GR-based invoice verification.  In the backend PO it is possible to create the same order without any errors!

    Monica,
    My analysis till now is:
    1) It is true that limit oders are not going with "Confirmation & Invoice" flag. We need to raise OSS.
(There is one additional problem with this is "The vendor master flags don't get transferred to PO" for this you will have to implement the OSS notes 956083.)
Now after applying this notes you see the standard functionality:
    2) If we are creating PO with "Invoice Only" flag then there are follwoing options:
    a) If the "GR based invoice" flag in vendor master is checked then the POs goes into D item category and you can enter a service sheet for them.
    b) If the "GR based invoice" flag in vendor master is NOT checked then the POs goes into B item category and you can enter invoice just after PO.
I made change in V_T163Y for B item category and checked the flag for GR but then too I am not able to enter GR for item category B.
Please assign points for useful answer as applicable.

  • Problem with Unknown account assignment with limit order...reply soon...

    Hello All,
i am facing problem in <b>confirming the limit order with unknown account</b> <b>assinment</b>.We are using Extended classic scenario with SRM version 5.00 and ECC 6.00. When creating shopping cart with unknown account assignments,  shopping carts is getting created fine but when processing goods receipt the system only prompts for distribution by cost center and we do not have the option to selected processing against other account assignment e.g. internal order or network. the Cost center is coming as gray. What i am expecting that as in known account assignment it asks for a drop down and user can select cost center or order the same should happened with unknown account assignment. we have not implemented any badi for the same.

Use Screen variants (Transaction - SHD0) to change item overview and search result screens.
BADI - There is one BADI to hide/show some SC item creation links, there is one BADI to control screen details of PO, CTR... but not SC (and not external screens).
So, as usual, identify the template and change the HTML code in SE80.
To implement a more complex logic, like the default check box, change the ABAP code (usually in the PBO), if required.

  • Account Assignment category in Limit order confirmations in SRM 4.0

    Hello
We are using SRM 4.0 in extended classic scenario.
When entering the confirmations for limit orders in SRM, users add the limit/ service items.
After SP14 recently, the " account assignment category" is not set in the added lines , same as the
    PO .
Rather the account assignment category is the first one from the available list.
Any suggestions / notes for this issue?
    Regards
    Kedar

    Hi,
    1. In customising (SPRO) in R/3 you need to create the corrpesponding account assignment category with the relevant fields specified.
    2. In customising (SPRO) in SRM you need to create the new account assignment category and specify it as active plus the backend system reference. You can then assign the cost assignment types that are applicable and those that are mandatory.
I haven't got access to a system at the minute so can't give you the menu paths in customising but for R/3 it is under Materials Management > Purchasing and then look for Account Assignment. For SRM it is in Cross Application Components and then look for Account Assignment.

  • Change in account assignment for Limit Order SRM not replicated to backend

User has made in SRM (5.0 Ext Classic scenario) a limit shopping cart with Invoice and Confirmation and Acc. assigment 'Known' . This resulted in a PO with has been replicated to backend . In MM PO with Imtem category 'D' has been created.
The user know reports that he has made wrong account assignment and asks for change so that the new cost assigment appears in his Confirmations as proposal.
Normally I am able to do this through Tx 'process purchase order' (BBP_POC) in SRM and it is properly replicated to backend - meaning PO in MM is updated with new cost assigment
However for this limit order the changes I have made in BBP_POC seems not to be replicated into backend and hence on goods receipt it still shows the old assigment.
Anyone an idea of cause for this?
Thanks in advance for any reply or help

    Hello,
    1) Are you seeing any errors in rz20.
    2) You may consider transferring the PO again to the backed using the function module BBP_PD_PO_TRANSFER_EXEC.
    3) If you see any account assignment errors , check the account assignment in SRM and ERP PO are the same or as mapped in the table BBP_C_ACC
