Custom Numbered List Sequence (example: F, G, H, J, K)
Hey all,
Is it possible to create a custom numbering sequence for a numbered list in InDesign?
For example, rather than have my list go: F, G, H, I, J, K, we'd like to skip the I at every iteration and go straight to J.
The reason for this is I work for a testing company, and our answer sheets don't have the letter I on them.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

LIST BOX
Drop down list box can be created in a dialog screen(SE51) as well as selection screen.
The sap list box allows to select a value from the list but we cannot enter our own value in the list box .The value list that will be displayed consists of two
fields TEXT field of TYPE 80(C) and internal KEY field of TYPE 40(C).
In screen painter to create a input/output field into list box we use
'L" as a value for dropdown attribute for the i/o field.
In screen painter to determine the type of method that will be used to fill the value
list we use the attribute value list.
If it is blank the value list will be filled by the first column of the input help assigned to the screen field.This input help can be defined in the ABAP Dictionary, on screen using SELECT,VALUES screen statements or in event POV (PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST ) and the input help that will be passed to the field should consists of 2 columns ,the key column is filled automatically by the system.SAP recommends value list field should be blank.

The value can be 'A' meaning that the value list will be filled in the event PBO(PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT) or before the screen is displayed.In this method we use function module VRM_SET_VALUES to fill the values and pass it to the i/o field.
If a function code is attached to the list box the selection of a value triggers a PAI
otherwise PAI will not trigger.
LIST BOX in SELECTION SCREEN
List Box is created in selection screen using PARAMETERS staement
with AS LISTBOX addition other attributes like VISIBLE LENGTH (width of listbox)
can be specified with the declaration.
PARAMETERS name(n) AS LISTBOX VISIBLE LENGTH n.
Here n is an integer and name is the name of parameter.
To populate the value list we use the FM VRM_SET_VALUES and the
selection screen event AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT is used to write the code to fill it.
VRM_SET_VALUES
The function module VRM_SET_VALUES is used to fill the value list associated with a List Box .This FM uses types which are declared in type group VRM. So
we should declare TYPE-POOLS VRM before using this FM.
Some important types declared in the VRM type group are
VRM_ID
It refers to the name of the input/output field associated with list box
VRM_VALUES
It refers to the internal table consisting of two fields TEXT(80C) and KEY(40)C
that will be used to create the list values.

ID = name of screen element ,it is of TYPE VRM_ID
VALUES = internal table containing values,of TYPE VRM_VALUES

In this example the screen element attribute value list is set to blank as such the value list will be filled with the 1st column of the input help,We use PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST event to pass the value list to the listbox.In the MODULE call used to fill the value list we can use FM like F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST to create input help as explained in the input help.The value of first column will be shown in the field when selected.

This is a form for a report, which we have a column header and the positions. the problem is that if a current account haven't finish in that list (see the example)

Remember that the columns header won't be printed only if the lines per account continues. I mean, the column header printing depends on the number of lines that are being printed.
If at the end of a previous page the list (for example the positions that belong to this account) still continues for an account, then in the next page the column header musn't be printed, just only continue printing the rest of the positions. As you notice this case would be found in any number of pages during the rest of the report.
I'm agree with all your solutions but this only functionin some cases for the first page.

in numbers, how would I make a line for each family (100+) a column for each fundraiser. and at mid year, and year end be able to print an alphabetical listing?

Using Numbers '09 (the Mac version), I'd use a table with one header row and two header columns.
Family Total Ent.Books Chip S. Y. Candle
Smith, J $695 350 245 100
Jones, T $765 250 445 70
An ascending sort on column A will put the families in alphabetical order (and carry the rest of the row along with them).
The formula =SUM(2) in B2, and filled down from there, keeps the total for each family right beside the family name.
You could add a Footer row at the bottom to keep totals for each column. Formula for column B: =SUM(B)
I would leave the currency signs ($) off the amounts—they just clutter up the table.
This assumes that the features listed are all supported on Numbers for iOS, the version running on your iPad.

How to get data from subsites list of SharePoint 2010 in ssrs
Hi,
Can someone help me on this issue.
I want to create a report using ssrs, I have some of the data in SQL and some of the data in sharepoint list.
First I need to go to SQL and get the data from the table which contains URL for the subsite in sharepoint.
after that I need to go to all the subsites and go to perticulat list in the subsites and get data from that list.
for example, their is a top level site "abc"
it contains sub site "123", "456","567", etc.. All this sub sites contain a list by name "Sample List", Now I need to go to that sub site list(Sample List) and get list-item column say "created By" which
is created on particular date.
in my report, I need to print the sub site "url/Title" which comes from SQL database and list-item column "Created By" of that sub site list "Sample List".
I tried using subreport inside a report by using "Microsoft SharePoint List" as a datasource, but when it comes to real time we don't know how many subsites will be created, so we can't create a datasource for each subsite site.
I guess we need to be using XML as a datasource, but how can we go to particular subsite in query while using XML, since all subsites have list with the same name ?

SQL Server Reporting Services(SSRS) supports expression-based connection strings. This will help us to achieve the goal you mentioned in this case:
Create a new report
Create a Data Source in the report with the connection string like this:
http://server/_vti_bin/lists.asmx (We use static connection string instead of expression-based connection string now, as it is not supported to get fields based on expression-based connection string in design time. We will change it to be expression-based
connection string later)
Create the data set(as you have done using XML query language). Please use list name instead of GUID in the listName parameter.
Design the report(e.g. Add controls to the report)
Now, let's change the connection string to be expression-based. First, please add a parameter to the report, move this parameter to top. This parameter is used to store the sub site name.
Open the Data Source editor, set the connection string to be: ="http://server/" & Parameters!parameterCreatedInStep5.value & "_vti_bin/lists.asmx"
In the main report, pass the sub site name to the report we created above via the parameter created in step5
That is all.

Using the tab key in a list and keeping a table format when copying and pas
when I transfer a table from a microsoft word document or PDF file to the pages document, it does not keep the table and only the data inside the table. how do I keep the table?
Also, how do I keep the numbers from indenting when I do a list. for example, if I need to indent part of the sentence for writing specifications of something, I want to use the tab key to move away from the first part of the sentence, but it moves everything and not just my marker.Not if it decides the list is a list, it can't.
The app never "decide that a list is alist". It does what you ask it to do.
Of course, if you refuse to disable the preference which automatically treats a paragraph as a new list entry I can't help you.
If the datas are stored as a list, the bullets are not part of the datas themselves so they will not be copied.
As I already responded the "Copy" tool doesn't copy attributes.
We have to choose:
we are using lists and the bullets can't be copied
or
we are using text arranged in columns and, if we put bullets, these bullets may be copied.

How to use discrete PID in FPGA module?

I want to implementa PID controller for a Two tank set up, where my aim is to control the level in the tank.so my process variable will be in centimeters and my set point will also be in centimeters.The control output calculated will be milli ampere equivalent of binary because, my pid gain have the unit of ma/cm. shall i have to scale my setpoint, process variable, range in host vi before i pass it to FPGA VI? and to which length of bits shall i have to convert i.e. either to 16 bit or 32 bit.Range i will be specifying in milli amperes.when i see in example VI , PID gains are scaled by 2^8 and all other values like set point, process variable, range are scaled by 2^15 why?.

All of the inputs to the PID Express VI are 16 bit inputs. In the example, the setpoint and process variables are ranges from 0 to 100%, so the setpoint is set relative to the process variable maximum. The help for the Express VI for the PID Gains says "the upper 8 bits (out of 16) of each integer represent the integer portion of the gain", meaning that 128 is the highest (unscaled value, scaled would be 32767) value you can specify for Kc.

I have an issue with adding component in task list (for example task list number EIMN-68) via transaction IA05.
When I try to add component to operation, I get the message *

Diagnosis
You want to create a standard BOM for standard object PAEIMN-68 with usage .
A BOM already exists for this standard object and usage. You cannot extend a standard a standard BOM.
Procedure
Check whether the standard BOM is suitable for standard object PAEIMN-68 and usage . If it is not, you need to create the BOM for another standard object.
Is there any special way to create material master for such components.Whats the solution.

I want to add components.
Just now I was able to add components. I explain how:
When i added component number in operation, and press enter, system gave me the error that standard bom already exist. In the same screen I changed the BOM usage to 3 as universal usage. After this usage only, system allowed me to add components. No other bom usage allowed me to do so.
Also, why system took me to BOM screen if I just want to add components.

Capturing Detail Items for a Related List in a New Item Form
I have a simple (ha!) requirement to capture Purchase Requests with the individual line items being captured in a separate List. I have been using InfoPath, but will consider ANY solution at this point.
If I have an Edit Item Form, I can have a Data View (LIst View Web part) that will display all related items in my Details List (using a filter on the Parent ID). I can even add a Data Form Web Part below this to allow for the entry of a single itme
at a time, and make the lookup field of the new item default to the ID of the parent item.
All well and good for the Edit Item. But if I want to do the same on my New Item Form, I am up the proverbial without a paddle because I do not have access to the ID of the Parent List Item (that is still being captured).
So, using any of the standard SharePoint technologies (except Visual Studio), how can I create a New Item Form, in which I can enter items for a related details List and see those detail items already entered, all while capturing the original form?Hi Mike,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to get the details of the related items in New Item form.
I recommend to edit the new item form in InfoPath and use repeating table to display the related items based on the value in the lookup column.
Here are the detailed steps:
Edit the new item form(listB for example) in InfoPath and then add the related list(listA for example) including all the details you need as external data source to the form.
Choose the secondary data source added in step1 in Fields panel and then expand dataFields, then right click d:SharePointListItem_RW and select Repeating Table to insert the secondary data source added in step1 as repeating table to the form.
Right click d:SharePointListItem_RW in the Fields panel and select Rules, then click New and select Formatting in Rules panel.
Click None under Condition in Rules panel, then select ID field in the repeating table in the first box, select is not equal to in the second box, then choose Select a field or group in the third box and select Main under Fields, then click the lookup field
in the form and then click OK.
Select Hide this control under Formatting in Rules panel.

Create a drop down list that populates based on the selection form another drop down list.
I need to set up a drop down list that is popualated (i.e. displays a certain list of selctions in the drop down list) based on the choise the form user selects in an adjacent List
For example
There are two drop down list field sitting side by side in the form
1. Select State 2. Select Course
What I want to do is have a list of states in the first drop down list (1.Select State) and depending on which state the form user selects , the second drop down list (2.Select Course) will populate with a selction of courses available in that selected state only (i.e. it will on;y show course available in QLD if QLD is selcted).
