  • Was approved for a Mejier Commenity Card!!!

    So a couple of weeks ago I applied for a Mejier card, mostly because my local Mejier was running a promotion to get $20 off your bill if you apply. I received the standard your application needs further review and 7-10 letter. Received the letter yesterday and it said that I need to call and verify some information. I called and they did 3 security questions and said congratulations you were approved with a $500 credit limit. YAY!!! I've been trying to shopping cart trick for months and cannot get a popup offer to save my life so to be approved for this card is a surprise to me!

    Woo congratulations! I always love it when you think its a decline but they just want to ask you a few questions (Ive had denials due to supposed fraud when I applied for too many cards too fast, just needed verification!)

  • So I went into the store to start a Verizon edge plan was denied but was approved for a 2 year contract why?

    Please help!

    Edge approval is dependent on credit worthiness? Any late payments in the last 6 months? Trust me Verizon would actually prefer people be on the Edge plan.

  • The good news is I was approved for 107k

    The bad news is that doesnt get me much in so cal. Is it better to wait a year until I can pay off my personal loans and qualify for more or is it better to invest now and sell later? If I buy now My mortgage payment will be 750+HOA and if I wait my rent payment is 1380. What is the best course of action? Thank you for any advice!

Thank you for any advice!My personal opinion is that you should wait until you qualify for what you want, rather than settle for an area/home that will be disappointing and leave you wanting for more every day. I think it would be much better to decide which area/home would please you the most and then work a plan to get there, even if it will take a little while longer. Maybe take a second job for a while to get the loans paid off, look for ways to cut your budget, maybe consolidate to a lower interest rate, etc. I think you'll be happier in the end getting what you truly want rather than settling for what you can get right now. I wish you the best. Marlena

  • Slowly but surely..finally approved for BofA

    I'm new to this forum, but I have been following for several years. I really want to thank everybody for sharing their experiences and advice. I hope that my story will help others just the same as you have all helped me...n I'd like to apologize ahead for the super long essay lol ;P During my sophmore year in college, I messed up big time on racking thousands of dollars on credit card debt and losing my job. 4 accts ended up in derog (prob around 10k), so my mid 700's dropped to the low 500's. I still had a few retail cards open and good standing student loans, but I had to kiss all my major cc's goodbye. 3 yrs later, I decided to start my journey on rebuiling my credit. I received a preapproval letter from Cap1 and figured I had nothing to lose. I was approved for the Cap1 Platinum MC with an initial 500CL and 22.90% APR w/ an auto CLI to 2500 after 5 months w/ heavy util. 1 yr later, i was approved for an auto loan through Cap1 w/ 6.96% APR. Couple months after that, I applied for the Cap1 Journey Visa and was approved with 500CL and 22.90% APR w/ auto CLI to 750 after 5 months and another auto CLI to 2750 after an additional 5 months. Cap 1  upgraded my Platinum MC to Quicksilver MC shortly after getting the Journey Visa. I know lots of people have their gripes against Cap1, but wow, they really provided a platform to improve without paying any AF's. High interest, but I made sure to PIF after the 0% promotional periods ended. I'd highly recommend Cap1 as a rebuilder as long as you can manage your finances well since 22% APR would cost a lot in interest. After babysitting my credit score for a year, I was so hesistant to apply for the BofA Cash Visa. I recently saw an "invitation to apply" through my online banking and decided to jump the gun. I was approved on spot with a 500CL and 17.99% APR. I'm a bit disappointed that the CL is so low, but so glad to have a "prime" lender approve me. Hopefully BofA will do an auto CLI after a year. *cross my fingers* So after 3 years of careful planning, my score is now steady at 655 (idk my score didn't change after BofA's HP), for EXP and TU. I'm not planning to apply for anymore CC's, but starting to consider if I should do an auto refi. All of my baddies are scheduled to drop in one year, so my ultimate goal would be to be back in the 700's so that I can eventually buy a house. Of course my baddies dropping will help, but are there any other recommendations to increase my score? Thanks and wish me luck!

    When restored. But the 4 does not. AT&T insists its unlocked but they are only going off
    Of the request and IMEI number. Is there a way from the phone i can verify it was unlocked?
    If AT&T e-mail says it is unlocked, then believe it is so. Insert non-AT&T SIM inside and after backing up restore in iTunes again. Unlock gets attached.
    You can check the status of the unlock request on AT&T web-site.

  • Approved for credit, then denied.

    I was approved for a 500 dollar credit line, then when I made a $420 purchase, it was declined. We're on a bit of a time crunch here, otherwise I'd be waiting patiently. Should I go ahead and repurchase my item? How long does it take for a pending charge to be reviewed? I sent an email to paypal, but have not heard back yet. It was my first time using the PPC feature, so I'm not sure if I messed something up. I did go back and review to make sure all of the information matched (address, phone number, etc) and verified my credit card and phone number through paypal.

    I was approved for a credit line. Went to use it to pay for a purchase and it was declined??? Where do I pull up info on this. I have emailed a few times and nobody responded. I have called a couple of times and I was on hold so long I hung up. This company does not have good customer service. Does anyone know wherein go to find out this info?

  • Card Trick Approval for HSN!!

    I have been trying for awhile to get the HSN pop up credit approval with no luck.  I just read a post from last year and I thought it was worth repeating. A little tricker than the other Comenity pop up approvals.  Firstly I was approved for $ 2,000.  Ok you put a couple of items in the cart and check out as a guest.  Complete the billing and shipping screens and when it ask you to input your payment information, enter your  credit card  information.  You will have to press the continue screen which allows you to review the order before you finalize the purchase.  Once you press the continue screen, the pop up pre approval appears.  Once you complete the pre approval and hopefully are approved, the credit information is replaced with your new HSN credit card number.  You can then remove the items....I happened to like a pair of jeans and actually bought them!  When I went to set up the Comenity account, I was unable to get any additional CL increase.  I'm satisfied for now, lol!

  • Approved for Citi ThankYou Premier (with caveat)

    Decided to jump the gun and app for the TY Premier.  Been looking for another juicy bonus and I thought this card, coupled with my Forward, would make for a great combo for travel rewards.  I app'd online and originally got the following message: Your application is pending further review and we need additional information from you. Please call 1-866-606-2787 now to receive an immediate decision. Called the number with an application ID they gave me.  Basically informed me that I was approved, but that I had hit the CL ceiling with them, so they could only approve me for $3,900, but they gave the choice to transfer limits from my two other cards (Forward & DoubleCash) up to $2,000, which I did and made the CL $5900.  From this experience, I've concluded what I've seen others state as well. With my reported income at $48,500, I am guessing Citi's internal credit limit is at around ~30% of your annual income.  So to those with multiple Citi cards, you might want to keep that in consideration.  Then again, as with everything, YMMV. Just happy I got approved.  They tend to only pull EQ for me, but guess I'll find out in a couple days or so, which astonishingly is actually my lowest score at the moment.

    My wife and I received prescreened apps from Citibank 2 weeks ago for the DP card.  I was approved for a $1800. Wife was sent a request for more info letter with a 4506-T form enclosed. Our scores are similar. My non au credit is 3 months longer than hers. This bank is horrible. Then they want to pull another credit report on her. They can go straight to you know where. We are not submitting that.  I will not share the entire details on a public forum, but they in conjunction with an unscrupulous lawyer my elderly mom had, tried to railroad me on an au card I had with them for 11 years. My lawyer had to get involved and caught them in a major lie. If I tell you what happened in detail you would cringe. And while I had the card,they for about 5 years would constantly hound my mom about my charges. Perfect payment history and very high limit with many auto clis. I will of course await my Costco card with them but nothing more. They are a difficult and highly dishonest bank.Yikes, I'm sorry to hear that experience you had with them.  They've been nothing but good to me, but that said, I always consider it a business relationship that can turn on a dime.  They'll only keep me in good graces as long as I remain a good customer.

  • Approved for a Barclays Rewards Card

    Hi So i  received a pre approval for the Barclays rewards card and surprised i was approved for 1500.00 is there anything i should know about Barclay's?  I heard once youre in good you are in a good position.  They offer the apple barclays visa card which i love Apple.  is that a good sign that my rebuilding is improving because before they wouldnt give me the time of day.

  • Is update not approved for a specific group via powershell.

    My apologies in advance for asking a similar question to the one I asked two months ago,
    is update approved for specific group via powershell? I thought I had this covered, but as I've found time to continue to work on this project I see that it does not.
    I have a script that iterates through updates and if the release date is older than 30 days and they have not already been “Approved for Install” or “Approved for Removal” for a specific group it approves them. I am currently faced with the dilemma that
    when an update is set to “Not Approved” for the specific group I’m working on it does not come across in my group’s approvals and there for I cannot detect its current state to know if I should approve it. In other words, I don’t want to approve an update
    that I set to not approved for a specific group.
    I am currently achieving all this so far by connecting to my WSUS server and getting any and all updates via $all = $wsus.GetUpdates(). I Then get my group’s approved updates via $groupApproved = $wsus.GetUpdateApprovals($GroupScope) where ApprovedStates
    = "Any" and ApprovedComputerTargetGroups.Add($current_wsus_group). While iterating through $all I grab updates that are older than 30 days and check to see if the updateID exists in my $groupApproved. If it does not, I approve the update. Like I
    said before, an explicitly unapproved update for my group does not show up in my $groupApproved. I understand it’s because of my GetUpdateApprovals($GroupScope) being just that and only getting approved for install or uninstall, but even when I try to simply
    GetUpdates($GroupScope) I am still not returned explicitly unapproved updates. Below is a screen shot of what I mean by explicitly setting an update to unapproved for a group. I’ve read up on
    ApprovedStates and possible enumerated values and it does include "NotApproved" defined as "Includes updates that have not been approved or declined.".
    Hope all that makes sense, thanks for the help.

    So, I've decided to go about this a different way. Rather than getting all updates and comparing them to approvals via a scope of updates for my specific group (which includes all actions but Not Approved), I am going to look at specific approvals for each
    update and see if there is a match for my group. A simplfied version of this is below.
    $AnyAllUpdates = $wsus.GetUpdates()
    foreach ($udpate in $AnyAllUpdates)
    if ($update IsNOTDeclined IsNOTSuperseded LegacyNameNOTIA64 CreationDateLTDATE yada yada yada)
    # get the approvals for this udpate as they relate to my group
    $uApprovals = $update.GetUpdateApprovals() | ?{$_.ComputerTargetGroupId -eq $wsus_group.Id}
    if ($uApprovals)
    if ($uApprovals.action -eq "Install")
    # do nothing, the udpate was approved for install
    elseif ($uApprovals.action -eq "Uninstall")
    # do nothing, the update was approved for uninstall
    elseif ($uApprovals.action -eq "NotApproved")
    # do nothing, the udpate was not approved for install
    else
    # since there was no specific action then it must be an inherited not approved from teh parent group
    # approve the update!

  • Oh snap on a roll, approved for Sallie Mae!

    How hard is it to get the Sallie Mae card? I've only been through 3 statements with my current rewards card and was approved for that after recon. My profile is a lot better and thicker now with my score being 30+ points higher than when I was approved, what are my odds At this point in getting approved? I have 3 collection on my cr that expire 4/2016..any help would be appreciated

    So after going on my first app spree last night going 2 for 4, I wanted to shoot for one last card. Figure I should take a pull from my TU report as it was untouched from the spree, applied for the Sallie Mae card got the 7-10 message. Called recon instantaneously, analyst asked about my delinquencies from 3 years ago, explained, he then asked what my goals were to pay off my balance??? Lol found that funny, to cut it short he approved for $2500 I said no I wanted something higher, he said OK $3500 and happy 4th!

  • Approved for another Venture!

    So I applied for a Capital One Venture Card and a VentureOne Card last month and was approved for both with a 15k and 10k limit. To my surprise I checked the prequal site and I showed I was prequalified for a Venture, VentureOne and QS VS. I was like what the heck......now that I can merge accounts together, why not see if I can squeak out another 40k bonus since I already met my spend on the first cards. Approved for 15k

  • Approved for Venture card (Visa signature), 10K limit!

    My white whale is the CSP and I apply once per year and get declined everytime. I have a freedom with a toy limit, $500. I've had it for almost 2 years and they never increase my limit. I decided that I would app for the Slate and I was approved with another toy limit, $500. I figured that I had pretty much maxed myself out for the number of credit cards I was eligible for (I now have 8).Well, I went to capital one and saw the venture card and thought, why not. Well, to my shock I was approved for 10K. I was floored. In my long life, I haven't had a credit card with a limit higher than $1800. It is my understanding that Chase likes to see, among other things, that you have a credit card with at least 5K. I'm hoping this new Venture limit will allow me to get a CSP in about a year.Also, I believe that I should consolidate my other credit cards onto the Venture.  Question:  Is it better to leave the venture with zero to 10% usage and leave my other cards with balances? Or, transfer all balances to the venture, putting it at 75% usage, while my other cards will be at 0% ? BTW, myfico TU is 695 and I am at 90% usage on all other cards.

    New job & multiple cards at 90% is definitely not the time to apply for premium cards then. Get those balances paid way, way down & as many as you can completely paid off. In 6 months, you might be able to get that "Holy Grail" card you keep trying for.shasta wrote:
    I haven't exactly been frivolous with my credit card debt. I was laid off for the 3rd time in about 5 years and decided that I needed to change careers. I had to buy tools, consumables, fuel and things like that while I was learning a new trade. I couldn't find reliable work in my new field and so far haven't paid off the credit card debt that I ran up. Things are looking up though, I was just made a job offer today and if it works out, I should be able to pay debt off in about 6 months.
