Hi All,
I want to maintain custom fields added in /SAPAPO/TRM table. Can anybody tell me how to achieve this via MASSD Tcode?

You can use report /SAPAPO/TR_TRPROD_MASSMAINT as a template to build your own one.

Custom fields not getting updated in Mass Maintenance-MM17

Hi,
I have created a custom field in MARC table and the data is getting updated to the MARC table through MM01/MM02 but it is not getting updated by MM17. I have checked the notes 44410, 576160, 414020 and 116311. I have done the following changes as per the sap notes.
1. Created a custom segment ZE1MARCM by copying the standard segment E1MARCM and added the custom field in that
    segment.
2. I have extended the IDOC 'MATMAS03' and added the custom segment ZE1MARCM to E1MARAM.
3. Created a new entry in we82 and provided the extension type 'ZMATMAS03' and release '701'.
4. Adjusted the partner profile in we20 for matmas with port and providing the extension idoc type.
5. Added the custom field in the table MASSFLDLST.
6. Implemented the code in BADI 'MG_MASS_NEWSEG' and exits 'EXIT_SAPLMV01_002' , 'EXIT_SAPLMV02_002' as per the
    sap notes.
The custom field is not getting updated through mass maintenance. Please let me know if i have missed anything?

Mass update of a custom field at Product Revenue level

We are trying to update a custom field at Product Revenue level using the Opportunity Web Service. The webservice call is timing out as we have thousands of Opportunities.
I would appreciate if anybody gives input on how we can massively update a custom field using Opportunity Web Service.
OR
Is there a way to mass update a custom field at Product Revenue level other than using a web service.

If you are not very much obsessed with Webservices, the other workaround is the Data Loader Tool. It was discussed earlier in this forum.

Mass maintenance and BDC Recodring of custom fields added in PO header.

Hello Experts,
I have created a custom fields in PO header and used Structure for BADI implementation to update the header with values enterd in custom table.
My requirement is for some selected PO i want to fix the value of one of my custom field at header level.
I have tried both the options Mass maintenance and BDC recording but the issue i'm facing is when i go for mass maintenance it is giving me the ERROR and it seems that we can only do the mass maintenance for sap-standard fields only.
When i go for BDC recording i'm facing the issue that when i do SHDB and start recording for ME22N my custom field is coming grayed out and i'm not able to input the desired value in custom field and complete my recording.
Let me know your valuable inputs .

Instead of BDC i'm doing it through the BAPI   "BAPI_PO_CHANGE" by populating the structure extensionin but here i'm facing the error as below:-

Custom Field is not updating using MM17 ( Mass Material Maintenance )

Dear All,
      I have created 1 custom field in MRP1 view of MM01 tranction & that field saved into MARC table. It is working fine & I am able to change also that field using tranction code MM02. But Problem is that I want to change that custom field of material master using tranction code MM17 , which is for mass Material Maintenance. So to edit custom field of material master from MM17 what I need to do? Please suggest...

Follow the below procedure,
1. In table MARC custom fields need to be add using append structure. For that need to create data elements & domain for      corrosponding fields.
2.In SE51 need to copy standard program SAPLMGD1 & screen 2481( In your case screen would be different ) in to Z program.
3.Now in to the layout of Z program need to add custom fieldu2019s which we defined using append structure in MARC table.
4.Need to add Field statment for the new custom fieldu2019s into the PAI Flow logic of Z program inside CHAIN...ENDCHAIN statement.
5.Need to run transaction OMT3B and then copy screen sequence no. 21 into our Z screen sequence say Z1.
6.Once screen sequence is copied into screen sequence Z1. select sequence Z1 and double click on data screen folder.Select screen sequence with description MRP1 and after selecting it double click on Folder 'Subscreen ' and change the program given for screen no 2481 with our Z program name and Save.
Imp Note - Refer SAP Note no. 44410.

Mass Maintenence For custome fields from MM17

Hi all,
I Have added some custome fields in to material master and it is working fine,When i am trying to cahnge the values for these custome fields in MM17 it is not getting reflected in material master.
After cahnging the values if i save,it is giving me an Information-1090 : Messages have been issued: number MASS000924000003
In long text of this information i have.
Diagnosis-During inbound processing for the IDoc, messages have arisen while checking material data.
System Response-The system has filed these messages in the form of an application log with the number MASS000924000003.
Can you please let me know,How to solve this.

Please help me on the Workflow process, how to handle below workflow scenario, is there any logic be hand this.

1.2     As-Is Business Process
Currently Data Maintenance teams use standard SAP transaction XD07 to change Customer Account Groups. The standard transaction XD07 allows only one Customer Account Group to be changed at a time. The process is to be manually repeated for every customer. After the Account Group is changes in the request client (X07(10)), an RFC call is made to the BOR client (X07(20)) and then to the transaction client (X08(10)) to change the Customer Account Group as the SAP ALE process does not support Account Group Changesu2026
1.3     To-Be Business Process
From time to time, bulk customer data updates will be needed. This can be the result of business situations that cause multiple updates to be performed for given customer fields such as Customer Account Group field. A new program must be developed to let the user mass update the Customer Account Group field (KNA1-KTOKD). The Program should be accessed on demand using a new T.Code (YMDM_ACCTGRP_CHG).
Business users will submit a spreadsheet in the appropriate upload format to CDM along with written approval from the Food Service data owner to execute the upload in P07. CDM will execute the upload, record all documentation for the audit change log and notify the submitter when complete

1.5     Enhancement Functionality
The following are the requirements:
u2022     This tool will enable a user to perform bulk update to the customer account group field.
u2022     The utility should let the user upload a u201CTab delimitedu201D file to mass update the Account Group field.
u2022     The Load File will have 3 columns, Customer Number (KNA1-KUNNR), Current Account Group (KNA1-KTOKD) and New Account Group (KNA1-KTOKD).
u2022     The Program must utilize the process behind the standard SAP transaction XD07 to change customer Account Groups in X07(10).
u2022     The standard customer ALE (DEBMAS) process does not support Customer Account Group changes, so the mass change program must use the RFC functionality to change he Account Groups in the BOR (X07(20)) and Transaction system (X08(10)).
u2022     Workflows for all updates performed using this T.Code are automatically approved. No manual approval steps will be needed after data load.
u2022     Mass Maintenance will recognize any customer record that has an open workflow. If a customer record is already in the request queue, it is u201Coff limitsu201D for any bulk update. That update request to that particular customer record must be rejected.
u2022     Provide the option to run the process in validation mode and update mode.
u2022     Report all hard and soft legacy field errors on a validation report. All u201Chardu201D legacy field validations should be passed before allowing update mode to run.
u2022     The upload process will produce an error log for all records not loaded into the system.

Batch input with customer fields

I have to create a batch input process that post documents through FB01L.
As the lines of each document have been added customer fields, when I tried to go from one line of the document to the following one, a screen appears when I have to introduce some data (two of the fields are mandatory). I had solved these issue by ending with a "Call Transaction" with option "No batch input" = 'X'. This way, these customer fields appear directly in the screen, and not in a popup screen, so the batch input process was very easy.
But, I have been told that I don't have to use "Call transacion", I have to create a session, and the user will post the document by launching it in SM35. This way, even adding "No batch input" = 'X' in the options of "BDC_INSERT", the popup screen appears when running the session.
So, is there any way of running the session in SM35 with the option "No batch input"? If it's not possible, which is the best option of dealing with these popup screens? I have been able to go from one dynpro to another, and to open that popup screen, but I can't fill the mandatory fields.

Go to the T code Mass , put the object as KNA1 for customers .
Execute the same and you will find all the option available for making mass changes .
In case if your requirement does not meet here then you will have to go for a LSMW .

hi if the custom field where in u wish to upload data is in infotype than use PA30, if the master data u wish to upload is in Mass than u may create a BDC or lsmw or you can use the option of fast data entry..

Custom Field using screen exits CS01/CS02/CS03

Dear Experts,
I am using Screen exits to add some text description in CS01/CS02/CS03, my requirement is to add a field 'Product Appearance' with multiple lines for the material description. For this I have created customer field 'ZTEXT1' and appended it to STKO table. Now in screen painter(SE51) i need to add 3-4 lines of type stko-ztext1 because the product desc is of size 300-400 character.
I am not able to create 3-4 lines of type stko-ztext1. Can u plz suggest how can i add 3-4 lines of type stko-ztext1 in SE51.
I am able to create a blank field in SE51 using Edit->Grouping->Step Loop->Define, but while activating it is giving error as "Input/Outpt field STKO-ZTEXT1 and key word are not in the same screen".
Plz suggest.

Required BADI to add custom fields in the Basic Data screen in MM01

Hi,
      I got a requirement like this. I have to add 3 custom fields and one button in the standard transaction i.e., MM01, MM02, MM03. There is one field like producu heirarchy in the Basic Data in that field i will enter some values i want to display the description of those values in the corresponding field for that i need to create 4 custom field. We can create this by breaking the Developer Access Key but instead of that can i get any BADI to add the our custom code to display those fields. I want to add those fields in Basic Data View in the transaction MM01, MM02, MM03. I serached in SPRO but i couldn't find the respective BADI.
Pls suggest if any BADI is there for this.

Warning in BAPI_PO_CHANGE using a custom field

Hi all,
   I have a custom field called 'zpoblock' added to the header level in the purchase order.   I have added the new field to the 'Include CI_EKKODB'.    I need to use the BAPI_PO_CHANGE in order to unblock the purchase orders.
When I ran my custom program to unblock the po, i got a warning as shown below though the program updated the PO successfully.
W ME 887   Error transferring ExtensionIn data for enhancement CI_EKPODB
S 06   023 Standard PO 450012345 changed.
I have assigned the structure to ExtensionIn.
There are some custom fields at the PO line items which are not relevant for my changes.
Is this warning acceptable in the program ? What can i do to resolve it ? Would anyone have a sample program that can show me how to mass unblock purchase orders using BAPI_PO_CHANGE for a custom field ?

Adding custom fields in article master transaction - MM41.

Hi ,
Please find my requirement below.
Create a new custom field in the MM41->Logistic Distribution View->Other Logistic data.
The new field would be Shelf life which would be added in MARC table MARC-ZIPRKZ.
Now I would like to know how to bring this enhanced field MARC-ZIPRKZ into the Other Logistic data screen of MM41.
Have seen lot of discussion in the community. But a clear step by step procedural advice and guidance is highly appreciated.

Modification free enhancement of the article master is common. Part of this implementation is technical and part of this is functional configuration.

I am trying to figure out a way to Mass maintain Custom fields(Z fields) in KNA1 using transaction XD99. I did find some material which discussed about adding custom fields to MM17 transaction, but couldnt get any usefull information on XD99.

Adding Custom Fields to XD99, XK99

Hi,
I have a requirement to add custom fields to Customer and Vendor master transaction which are mass maintained.
XD99 and XK99 are the transaction codes. I found notes on adding custom fields to mass maintain MM17, however did not find any solution as of now to add custom fields to XD99 and XK99.
If anyone has worked on it, kindly provide me details if there is any Badi/User exit/Enhancement point to achieve this.
