Material staging indicator

hi friends,
i just want to know if the material staging indictor for production supply field was left blank, what will the system do to the material posting any movement.thanks  and God Bless You!

Hey, Allan
If you are working with WM you should check the following:
- the workcenter in the routing or recipe has a Supply Area defined at header. (CR02)
- component should have WM view defined in material master (MM03 or MM01)
- Component has a control cycle: LPK1 or LPK2, where you state the storage type, supply area and indicator.
- According to the Issue SLoc in MRPViews (MM02) components can be supplied from MM or WM. If they are coming from MM, they are not going to arise in Picklist.
Let me know how is your actual situation.

  • Material staging indicator not populating in prod order WM pick list item

    Hello,
I have an issue with material staging in an prod order
    1) PP-WM interface is activated
    2) Control cycle for material is created
    3) Production storage location is created for material
    4) storage type is 100 for production
    5) There is one discontinued material and also the follow up material
    6) stock of discontinued material is zero and requirement are passed to follow up material
When we confirm the order the stagging indicator for both follow up material as well as discontinued material automatically populates zero (Non relevence to pick list items) where as it should be one (1 - for pick list items).
One more issue user has manually inserted discontinued material as well as follow up material in production order change mode.
In the BOM of a main material both discontinued as well as follow up material is there with some quantity as a component.
For the same work center, control cycle , production storage location the indicator is populating.
These two material (discontinued as well as follow up) are appearing twice in the WM pick list screen where first two line items are OK and populating indicator "1". But in line item last and second last indicator is not there.
My question is why the stagging indicator is not automatically populating in the production order WM pick list screen in front of components.

Unfortunately, WM material staging via production orders is not possible
from the pull list.  Please see the long text of message RMPU 311
(WM material staging for production order reservation not possible):
"You cannot carry out a WM material provision for pick parts from
production order reservations in the pull list". The reasons for this
are cleary explained in the SAP on-line documentation via the
    following path :
Logistics -> Logistics Execution -> Warehouse Management Guide ->
Goods Issue -> Goods Issue for Production Supply ->
      Material Staging for Repetitive Manufacturing
See the following under the Selection heading :
The choice of the selection type influences which types of WM material
staging are supported in the pull list. However, the pick parts can be
staged via RS headers/planned orders but not with the current BOM
explosion. The release order parts, on the other hand, can also be
staged if the current BOM is used for calculating the dependent
    requirements.
WM material staging via production orders is not possible from the pull
    list.
I think you may try in CO02 or COR2 for production order or process order.

  • Material staging during Process Order..TR issue

    Hello,
For creating a TO I am going to transaction LB13 for a Process Order but I am not able to see the TR.
When I went in the Process Order and manually clicked WM staging I found that there is an error as mentioned below. The problem is it is an issue for only some Process Order as most of the other Process Orders are getting the WM staging(TR created automatically) and I can see in the LB13.
Can you tell me based on the error what the issue would be.
Is it something to do with the config in Production Scheduler Profile for TR creation?
No picking request was generated for operation 0020 due to incompleteness
    Message no. LP133
    Diagnosis
The pick requirement created for the pick parts ( material staging indicator "1") is incomplete. Errors occurred while the system was staging goods for WM. Therefore, the system could not convert all the relevant components into pick requirements. For this reason, no pick requests were created since material staging of only part of the components would cause problems in production.
    Let me know ASAP
    Thanks
    SAP Fans...

    Hi,
For the operation 0020 check what is the resource used. Now check what is the supply area you have maintained for that resource or in material master.
use transaction LPK3 and check out the control cycle set-up. the staging indicator should be 1.
Also check the component screen of the process order and make sure the storage location is the same that is used in production supply area.
Also make sure the material has been correctly assigned to that operation for which you are getting issue.
Once you do these changes....you might have to create a new order to test this.
    Try and revert back.

  • WM material staging & process order

    HI Team,
    1. Is there any relationship between the control cycle with the TR creation process in process order?
Suppose there is one process order created (COR1) with production schedule profile saying 'No creation of transfer requirement on release'.
So this time no matter what, the system will not create any TR while releasing the process order, is this correct?
    2. Suppose there is a process order for finished good 'A' and 'B' is the component.
Process order is having production schedule profile saying 'Only creation of Transfer requirement on release'.
Now control cycles are maintained for material 'B" with material staging indicator '3'.
Would the TR be created while releasing the process order?
Is there any relation between the control cycles and the process order and also with production schedule profile?
Please advice on the query in detail.
    Thanks,

The system determines the material staging type on the basis of the control cycle and determines the production storage bins, in which the components should be staged.

  • WM- Material staging between two warehouses

    Hi all.
My question is: is it possible to make material staging when warehouse in production order is different from raw material warehouse and raw material warehouse is managed by WM in two steps? I mean, confirming when it has been picked from origin warehouse and when it has arrved destination warehouse.
We need to transfer components from 0001-WM (raw material) warehouse into 0007 (production) and it is necessary to do it in two steps because most of the materials wait in a intermediate area. I thought in creating deliveries to use two-step picking but I don´t want to use purchase order (I am not sure if this flow is possible without pruchase order).
Is there any other choices to handle this process?
Many thanks in advance and best regards.

1 - Why the R/3 divided the material staging into two tab portions?
The first part obviously is for materials staged via pick parts. The second is a comprehensive list of materials that have to be staged from the warehouse irrespective of the type of staging.
2 - Can I use the LP10 and LP12 to manually perform material staging instead of directly via CO02 menu route?
You can use LP10 for staging pick part relevant materials. Typically, WM staging is triggered automatically however, you can manually stage either via CO02 or LP10. Note that LP12 is used for release order parts and it'd require the relevant control cycles that have 'release order part' indicator.
3 - Since our setup is using WMPP delivery, will LP10 and LP12 create delivery order as my understand is that LP10 and LP12 will create TR.
Since your staging set up is set via deliveries, LP10 will trigger the same.

  • Material Staging against planned order

    Hi Gurus,
We are using mf60 material staging issue material to production storage location against planned order.
If we select particular planned order to issue the material through MF60 material staging which is issuing correctly. But when if we select other planned order to issue material and for common material system considering the stock laying at production location and netting off further not showing for staging which is incorrect the material which is already issued is reserved for some other planned order.
    please advice..
    Regards
    cs

    Hi,
In planned order bom, materials are under dependent requirement, and not in reservation.
Unless you convert it to production order, the dependent requirement will not be converted to reservation.
    I think its okay,
If you have any special stock indicator for this then it will not consider the stock,

The system determines the material staging type on the basis of the control cycle and determines the production storage bins, in which the components should be staged.

  • WM material staging screen in CO02

    Dear all,
When I goes to the CO02u2019s menu -> Goto -> WM Pick List, there shown two tabs (Only PickParts, & All Parts). There are 10 material items in the Only PickPart tab having staging indicator as "1"; while they are more than 30 material items in the All parts tab having staging indicator of either 1 or 3.
My system background: we're using WMPP delivery as a picking document.
    I have several questions:
1 - Why the R/3 divided the material staging into two tab portions?
2 - Can I use the LP10 and LP12 to manually perform material staging instead of directly via CO02 menu route?
3 - Since our setup is using WMPP delivery, will LP10 and LP12 create delivery order as my understand is that LP10 and LP12 will create TR.

  • Reservation iscersue in material staging MF60

    Dear experts,
Our users having issue regarding material staging for production order. Before proceed please take a look of activities performed by users for order confirmation.
    1)      Production order creation – co01
    2)      Material staging - MF60 – As some of materials are not available to require storage location and available to different one. Here system generates the           reservation no.
    3)      Pull list posting- MF65 – post the reservation for stock availability at storage location.
    4)      Once stock available for order, order confirmed by t. code ck11n.
Now issue is lying in stage 2 as follows with example –
Order 1 and order no. 2 has been created for material A and B respectively. These both material consist of some of identical/Similar component like A having x, y and z whereas B having x, y and m. here X and Y are identical in both BOM.
Now when user stage the material with MF60, he must have to stage first order first and post the pull list otherwise system does not shows similar components in staging step, or only shows those material to stage which are not identical for production order of B.
Is it due to collective requirement indicator set in material master ?
Please suggest the solution. and reason for issue
    With best regards,
    Manish K. Bachate

    Dear muhammad,
You are right. Users always unchecked the include all req. indicator from global setting.
Well if we check this indicator while staging, would it consider all req. for that material or only for that order ?
Secondly as i said in issue post, this problem is arises when there are 2 prod. order which having similar component. until and unless i stage first order material, it wouldn't shows requirement for 2nd order while staging.
Can you please suggest solution for above issue or what changes we require to made in our transaction method.

  • Material staging only for released prod order parts

    Hi Experts,
Could any of You pls help me to set material staging only for components of released production orders?
There is a PP-WM integrated system, where we have mat.staging indicator 3 in control cycle, and run MF60 for WMreleased order parts. Here all CRTD and REL prod order components are listed. But I would like to change it: only REL prod order parts should be seen and replenished.
Could You pls let me know, how to do that?
    Answers will be apprecited

    Eshwer,
If a material has its own production order then it should be closed ,Closed in the sense you have to do theVariance Calculation,Order Settlement & finally Close the order
So irrespective of whether the material is of FERT or HALB type, each production order need to be closed
Closing the FERT order will not suffice ,It will not take care of the HALB order
    Order Settlement
When a production order is settled, the actual costs incurred for the order are settled to one or more receiver cost-objects (for example, to the account for the material produced or to a sales order). Offsetting entries are generated automatically to credit the production order:
If the costs for the production order are settled to a material account, the order is credited each time material is delivered to stock. The material stock account is debited accordingly.
If the costs for the production order are settled to another receiver (for example to a sales order), the order is credited automatically at the time of settlement. The cost-objects are debited accordingly.
    Closing a Production Order
The Closed (CLSD) status has been introduced in the production order. It has the following characteristics:
No more costs can be posted to the order, that is, confirmations and goods movements are no longer permitted for the orderThe order can no longer be changed. Exceptions to this are revoking the CLSD status and setting the deletion flag.
All actions relating to the status technically completed (TECO) are executed.
In a collective order, the CLSD status is also set for subordinate orders.
If the system comes across an order in the collective order that cannot be closed, the orders that come between this order and the leading order are also not closed. Other subtrees are closed if they only contain orders that can be closed.
So for the above reasons all the individual orders need to be closed
    Hope the above is clear
    Reward points if useful
    Regards,
    SVP

  • Material staging using LP11 & LP12

    Gurus,

  • Material Staging missing config?

    Hi All
We have set up a new warehouse that we want to use Material Staging.
The Production area is also set up. I have the following master data set up:
    Production Supply Area - ABC1
    Work Centre - ABC1
Control Cycle (with staging indicator as 4 - Manual Staging)
    Destination Storage bin - ABC1
I have released a test production order with 4 materials (all have the backflush ind)
But I cannot see anything in LB10. I am expecting to see a TR where I can convert to a TO (remove materials from warehouse and send to the PSA) and then confirm. This should put material in the PSA and backflushed when production order is completed.
Is there some config that I am missing?
    Thanks in advance
    DArren

    Mario
The control cycle defines the production storage bin with the production supply area. I am not trying to use Kanban.
As a summary, I want a released production order to trigger a TR in the warehouse to manually pick materials from warehouse storage bins (e.g. WA storage type) and then take to the production storage bin (e.g. LS storage type). On completion of the production order the materials are backflushed from the production storage bin.
This is my understanding of how manual material staging is processed. However, I must be missing some settings as when I release my production order, I do not get any trigger to pick the materilas from the warehouse and stage in the production storage bin.
I hope this helps clarify my initial question
    Thanks for response

  • Material Staging time in Schedule Lines (Shipping Tab) of Sales order

    Hi Gurus,
I would like to know how the time is arrived at, in the Schedule line of a sales order.
I have maintained the Working times in the Factory Calendar. via Route Dependent with Pick Pack time as 3 Hrs 30 Min.
and working time in Shipping point is from 08:00 to 20:00 hours.
When i create a sales order now, i could see that material staging time is determined.
But now i would like to know, what time should be determined here.

  • Best practice - material staging for production order

    Hi Experts,
could any of You pls, support me with some hints of best practice how to handle material staging WM-PP interface in a certain case?
Up till now we had a system, where production had no separate location in IM, but one location existed including raw material wh and production. In the same time in WM we had separate storage types for production and raw materials u2013 hence we did material staging transferring goods only inside one IM location between different WM storage types. The material staging should be done based on separate prd. orders.
Now this need to be changed and separate location need to be handled in IM for production u2013 which means the staging should be done between different IM locations and WM administration also need to be handled.
Up till now we used LP10 for staging, then LB13 for TO creation etc. We can keep going like that, but if do so, there is another step required in IM u2013 movement 311, where material numbers and qty need to be added manually to finish the whole procedure. I would like to avoid this u2013 which makes the administrational procedure quite long.
I have been checking the following possibilities:
    1.     Set released order parts-staging at control cycle and use MF60 for staging u2013 but I can not select requirements based on pro ordders here (only able to find demand if component including into selection)
    2.     Two step transfer 313/315 u2013 but this not a supported procedure u2013 313 TI /TO / 315
    3.     Try to find solution how to create 311 movement based on TO or based on WM stock at certain storage type / dynamic bin.
    I have failed.
So, could any of You pls, support me with some useful ideas, how to handle material staging where 311 included and definetly the last step of procedure, but administrator does not need to enter items manually one by one in MIGO.
    All answers will be appreciated

    Hi,
Storage location control should be able to take care of your problem.
If you want to stage the material to a different IM location then the WM location then make the following settings
If location xxxx is your WM location and location yyyy is your Production location.
You have defined Production storage type ZZZ for production storage location YYYY and have maintained the supply area for the same
In WM configuration - For interfaces - IM interface-Control of Assignment "Plant / Stor.Loc. - Whse Number"
Assign location XXXX as the Standard Location. Maintain entry donot copy sloc in TR for location YYYY
In WM configuration - For interfaces - IM interface-  Storage Location control for WH
This entry ensures that there will be a WM tarnsfer Posting between your WM and Production storage Location automatically when you confirm your TO. You can have this done via a btach job also if you want cumulative posting. (schedule job RLLQ0100)
