Microst Exchange 'unable to verify'

Hello,
I am trying to setup my work e-mail on my mail account: I have entered the correct e-mail and password for my account (works on the computer) but it comes up with the message 'unable to verify'?
It then takes me to another screen with the options of:
Email
Server
Domain
Username
Password
Description
I don't know what to do from there. Sorry to be a novice. Help would be very much appreciated. Thanks

I contacted the "IT DEPARTMENT", its really a small buisness with no more knowledge than me on whats happening and they gave me the server address but still i am unable to verify.
What would be the easiest way to check if my account is enabled to sync like you stated?

    We've been trying to setup the iPad on our exchange server, 2003 version. We enter in all the info, and we keep getting the error message "unable to verify account information".
    Now, I synched my droid with no problem.
    Do we need to do something to the server or the iPad?

    To the original OP...
    if I understand you correctly and you are trying to get an Exchange email account set up on your iPad... are you entering a domain name in the mail settings on your iPad? If you have done so, try removing the domain name and see if it will work without the domain name since the information is optional. I think this is how I got mine to work.

    Hi Guys,
    I got exchange mail working. It seems issue is around "Push". I enabled "push", account verified & all worked well. After that I disabled push (I do not want it & to save mobile data use).
    By googling, I found many have got it up & apple may fix it in it next iOS udpate.

    While trying to configure my exchange account i get an error message as it says on the title: unable to verify account information, doesnt syns emails ut does sync contacts and reminders from the exchange account.
    it´s an iphone 5 with iOS 6, latest version.
    WHAT CAN I DO?
    pasword, domain and server info is correct, any advice?

    Hi There.  I was trying to setup a staff members work e-mail to a work iPhone 4.  The e-mail is an Exchange e-mail.  All the information is correct (e-mail spelling, username and password, Domain and Server, etc) but it keeps saying "Exchange Account - Unable to verify account information"  Usually I just click Ok and it still gives me the options to select what I want to sync (Mail, Calendar, etc) and it still goes through.  This time it doesn't work at all. Just saves the info I inputted and won't sync up.  Any ideas on what's going on?

    Did the user change their password recently?
    A user complained about not being able to log in with correct credentials (on outlook 2010) while at home. His password had expired, and when he came in this morning, he changed it. We then tried to set up his exchange account on his iPhone, which gave us the "Unable to verify account information" message. When I learned of the password change, I looked in our Active Directory and sure enough, his account had been marked as "Locked". I unlocked it, and voila! He added his account without any further problems.
    So in short, check Active Directory to see if the accounts of affected users are locked. If they are, unlock them.

    When i set up my exchange mail account, just after i enter the exchange server details, i get a message saying "unable to verify certificate" and the option to "accept", which i did.
    Thereafter i get the error message "failed account verification"

  • Setting up Exchange Account: "Unable to Verify Information"

    I'm trying to set up my work email on my phone.  I followed the steps my IT guy told me to do exactly.  All the account information has been double & triple checked, yet I keep getting this error message pop-up: "Exchange Account: Unable to Verify Information". 
    Settings:
    Email: firstname.lastname@****.com
    Server:  webmail.****.com
    Domain: (triple checked and have this correct)
    Username: firstname.lastname
    Passord: ***** (again, triple checked)
    Use SSL: set to "ON" but I tried it "off" as well.
    I have a passcode set up, so that's not the issue either.
    I just updated my iPhone software.  Turned it off, turned it back on.  Deleted the Exchange Account and tried to set it up again, and nothing is working.  One of my coworkers just got her's to work on her iPhone by following the same instructions... I don't have a clue what the issue could be.  I think the IT guy is stumped as well, and he's over burdened at the moment so I don't know when I'll be able to get his help...
    Can anyone help me?

    Go to the OWA access on the web and verify credentials, also find out which version of Exchange this is (I am guessing not 2003 as that was before OWA)
    Try substituting Mail for Webmail in the server address
    Try this change with and without domain info.
    Save the account in its various stages, I have had them fail to verify and then work.

    Talk to your IT department. Worked just fine for my on my 4S with 6.0.1 and works just fine on my 5 with 6.0.2.

    I had the same problem - kept resetting my corporate systems password it would work for a few days and then the same problem as you.  the solution that worked for me today was this - in the user name on the second screen which comes when you are setting up an exchange email accounts, i put in domain\username and then it magically worked.

    When setting up my hotmail using Microsoft Exchange on the "mail" app I get; "unable to verify account information". 
    I've read many people stating this problem but not a single solution. Any ideas please?

    Although hotmail is a POP account, you can use MS Exchange. I was using 2 hotmail accounts, both on Exchange and both were working well until a few days ago. Now both are working intermittently :-/ look around there are many work arounds, however, no full solutions.

    I recently bought my daughter an ipod touch and set it all up and it was working fine with her email address. Unfortunately, we had to exchange it as it developed a fault. I am now in the process of trying to setup facetime and IM but when I enter her email address it says 'unable to verify email because it is already in use'. I have tried to troubleshoot this through the communities on here but the only information I can get relates to having more than one apple id which I don't. My daughter is too young to have her own so we use mine. I never had this issue when I had to reset my ipod.
    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Yes, I have tried this but I only have one apple id so this doesn't aply to me. I checked my account details and this email wasn't veerified. I clicked on the 'verify now' action but nothing happened. I did chec the 2 emails linked to this id and the spam folders but there was no verification email in any of them. I also tried deleting the email from my account and re-adding it but this didn't work either. I'm stumped!

    Hello All
    One of my users installed OS4 on a working Iphone 3GS accessing Exchange Via wireless (internal) and VPN (External)
    Since OS4 the phone now displays unable to verify account information.
    Help Please.

    I talked to an Apple Expert yesterday and he said that the problem appears when people restored their backups from a previous iPhone. He recommended making sure you save your data (contacts, calendar, music, photos, etc.) on your computer, then reset your iPhone back to factory settings, and when you plug it into iTunes, select the "I want a setup a new iPhone" option instead of restoring from backup. Then you'll have to re-sync all your data again. He said if you choose the new iPhone option, you shouldn't have that problem. I told him that it would be a pain for everyone in my company to do that and I tried pushing him to make this issue aware to the developers and to include it in a next software patch. He said he'll do his best to get people to investigate the issue. I have NOT tried his recommended method yet because I don't feel like wiping out my iPhone again, we'll probably just have to wait for a new update to iOS 4.

    I'm trying to setup my msn email account.  About a week ago, I stopped receiving emails.  I deleted acct and tried to re-setup, but I keep getting "unable to verify acct. information".  Any suggestions???

    Is the exchange server run locally in the office or is it an outside provider?
    If outside, is it Exchange from Google services or someone else?
