MIRO - Based on PO wihtout Manual Intervention
Hi All
Facing a problem while creationg MIRO.
PO qty = 100 EA
Material - GR Based IV - False
UnderDelivery Tolerance - 2%
MIGO = 98 EA
MIRO against PO / SA
I need to book for the whole PO Qty.
But only MIGO Qty and Corresponding Amount gets populated in the MIRO
I need to change this manually
Cant I get by default PO Qty and Amount directly in the MIRO ?
Please guide me
Sumit
If you have ticked the GR-based-Invoice indicator in PO, then the GR done qty only come into MIRO,
Unclick the GR-based-IV in PO, then all the qty in PO will be copied into MIRO.

Changing Sales order Status (Z-Status Profile) without manual intervention
Hi All,
I have a Z-Status Profile created for Sales Order. There are about 6 statuses in this profile. An enhancement requires change of particularly two statuses only by the user exit after certain calcualtions and not manually by any user in any case.
Can anyone suggest a way to handle this case? If authorization object should be created then based on which fields should this authorization object be created? If not, this there any other way to handle this.
Thanks,
Sophia XavierHi Pete,
Thanks for your reply. The usage of the User Exit and the Function Module is quite clear. My question is how do we control the change of two statuses only by the User Exit without any manual intervention, i.e., no user should be able to change these two statuses manually, only the program should be able to do this..How do we handle this scenario?
Thanks,
Sophia Xavier -
Error Manual intervention is required to stop the members...
I'm seeing a couple errors when disconnected members try to rejoin.
I've read what's here about "validate polls":
http://coherence.oracle.com/display/COH35UG/Partitioned+Cache+Service+Log+Messages
I think the relevant stuff is this:

MemberSet=ServiceMemberSet...I have a number of these apps running simultaneously between two machines. At about the same time all the instances of the app running on one machine experienced the same issue. It looks like those members received cluster heartbeats which did not include the memeber so they left the cluster. They all then tried to rejoin but did not get a timely handshake back from a few members (20,21,39) so they just gave up. Is this correct behavior? Is there something I can do so it continues to reconnect? At a minimum can I somehow listen for this situation and do a System.exit(-1) so the apps' startup scripts know to restart them?
Thanks,
Andrew

"VI is not executable" can mean the VI is missing some component, but it can also mean the VI or one of its subVIs has not been compiled to the same version as your RTE (Run-Time Engine). I've specifically seen this using the TestStand full-featured LabVIEW user interface, which was last compiled with LabVIEW 7.x (5 years ago), yet shipped with TS 4. Anyhow, if this is the cause, the solution is to:
Open the top level VI and any dynamically called VIs (i.e. VIs called by VI Server).
Holding down Ctrl and Shift, press the Run arrow to recompile all VIs in memory.
File >> Save All (or Ctrl-Shift-S)
Rebuild your EXE.

MIRO based on purchase order and delivery note
Hi
It seems I can do a supplier invoice based on PO or some POs.
I can also do a supplier invoice based on delivery note or some delivery notes.
But I can not do MIRO based on delivery note AND purchase order.
Business scenario: I need this when I have supplier invoice with a lot of lines based on a lot of different PO and different PO lines. The delivery note consolidate together all this different lines. Together with these lines I want to add another item of non good receipt item, so there is no delivery note.
I want to add this item with a reference to the PO line in addition to the lines that were created with a reference to a delivery note.
Thanks
OferThanks,
I want to use PO reference for specific PO and delivery note for other PO in the same invoice.
The problem is I cant use delivery note for the other PO cause there is no MIGO there.
Thanks

Error message in CPS Manual intervention window
Hi All,
In Redwood CPS, we get the following error message under the Manual intervention filter in Job monitor.
JCS-122035: Unable to persist: JCS-XXXXX: @locale2@:(com.redwood.scheduler.exception.Class.persistence.api.PersistenceException$AmbiguousField 'Behavior' 'JCS_JOB0' 'JCS_JOBDEF0' ' aliases=true {Job=Job, a_1=JobDefinition}')
But as such all the jobs seems to be running fine without any issues.
Could you throw some light on the error message and its likely consequence if any in the future?
Thanks,
BalajiHi,
Try this:
tables : BSIS.
parameter : bukrs like bsis-bukrs.
at selection-screen.
if bukrs eq '1000'.
message 'Co. Code is not allowed' type 'I'.
endif.
Thanks,

Manual intervention from jdbc-rfc scenario
Hi...Experts,
my scenario is jdbc-rfc synchronous scenario,we are sending the data from Oracle Database to ECC, client is insisted for manual intervention before posting the data in to SAP, when ever client wants to process the data from XI system (like press the F8 button manually by user), then only the data will enter into SAP.
let me know me how to achieve this type of requirement.pls help us at the earliest...
Points will be rewarded for the helpful answers.
thanks in advance,
PasiHi,
Why don't you create jobs in Xi and run them when ever you wanted them to.
check these for adapter scheduling..

DGMGRL switchover automatically without manual intervention
Hi,
I did the setup of dataguard and setup DGMGLRL. But when primary fails i used to connect to DGMGRL manually and used to do switchover.
My question is whether there is any way to do the switchover automatically from DGMGRL without manual intervention whenever the primary fails. If yes, please provide me the details.
Thanks in advance,

Will FAST_START FAILOVER works only in Maximum Performance protection mode?
My database is in Maximum Availability mode, will it work for that?
Mahi,
I don't see you ever mentioned your database version.
Anyway, if your database version is 10g R2, Fast-Start Failover (FSFO) requires your protection mode to be set to Maximum Availability
See the prerequisites for FSFO on 10g R2 http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14230/sofo.htm#BCGFFFBG
In 11g, FSFO can be configured with Maximum Availability or Maximum Performance.

How can we set a process chain to trigger the nodes w/o manual intervention
SDNers,
We have a Master PC which has the loading & activation of some Hierarchies.Wats happening is some of the hier activations are failing (we got track of the root cause as well) and the nodes below are not getting triggered automatically, eventhough they have been designed to get triggered irrespective of success or failure of this hierarchy activation. The chain prompts for the u2018Status change & trigger the following eventsu2019 opo-up and only when it was said u2018yesu2019, the subsequent node gets triggered in the chain. If this manual intervention was not there, the Chain gets struck at the activation node, whic is running in yellow status for long, though a short dump - error has already been thrown.
My query is how can we set a process chain not to anticipate the manual intervention of chnaging the status & trigger events pop-upHi ravi,
i'm not sure abt the query but what i got thru ur qustion is u have to automtaically go to the next load/step even the proceess chain fails in the step......
for that we have the same master meta chains with link of so many local chains...for this even if there are some interventions/fails in between the process chains it never gets stopped....
it goes to the next step and we'll work, analyse and finish the failed load manually....the next day it'll be
fine...
b4 to this make sure that there is no dependency for the previous loads....
And now the solution i found for this is in the process chain design itself.......
while giving the links itself we'll be getting the options as status RED,GREEN and RED(or)GREEN.....now if u got for the third option the event goes to the next step even it is unsuceesful....

Why is manual intervention required anyway?
Hello,
recently there were 2 announcements about "manual intervention required" in the news,
filesystem upgrade
initscripts update
Questions:
1. Do I have to make these changes also, when I do a clean install with the actual image from 2011.08.19?
If so, they should be mentioned right in the download page, or in the cli when I upgrade, otherwise
I have to look through all the news back until the date where the image is from.
2. Why is manual intervention required anyway, just to delete a stupid file? If the problem is, that the package
does not own the file, then why do you not create a mother package that can do everything for such cases?
Sorry, but I have to add this one: "You should change KISS to KRTFM (keep RTFM)"
Thanks.I'll add my 2 cents, I don't believe this point has been made abundantly clear yet:
Manual intervention is sometimes required because we don't want to wipe user configuration or possibly break the system. While this is usually solved by installing duplicate files as .pacnew files and informing the user that he / she needs to manually merge the original file with the .pacnew file (migrating possible user configuration along with it), this isn't always a possible solution.
We can't do that if a file holding possible user configuration needs to be changed, but is system critical. An example:
Let's say grub is updated to a new version. Due to a change in grub, the syntax in grub's configuration file menu.lst is changed. We can't make this update for the user because we can't be sure what the user has added to this file. We also can't install the new file as a .pacnew because the new version of grub is not compatible with the old style configuration file, the system may not start up at all! Hey, we could just delete the old file and put the new file in its place, but the user will have lost all his configuration. Nobody wants that. Imagine having to fix your configuration every time you update. No thanks!
The only decent way to solve this is to request manual intervention, there is no reliable way to do this automatically. This has nothing to do with the amount of effort this would take, some of these upgrades simply can't be resolved automagically. This also nicely explains allan's post:
yaffare wrote:
Allan wrote:Manual interventions is required because we are rolling release. That means we can not just save big changes for every six months.
Thats not an argument, what does it has to do with rolling release or not? Nothing.
There are arguments like Trilby said with security issues or that its too much effort for your team or you think its not worth the time.
Non-rolling releases can postpone updates that would cause system breakage like the grub update in my example, a rolling release like Arch Linux can't do that. We don't have a 6-monthly 'stable' base to work from, or the option to let updates that would require manual intervention wait till the next 'stable' release.
Distributions like Ubuntu and Fedora don't require manual intervention because the situations where these manual interventions are required are pushed to the new release of the distribution, or are simply allowed to wipe user configuration. The downside to this being that users of those distributions have to wait for a next release to be able to use the new version of some applications.
Now as for this:

If I can delete a file manually, than a script can do the same, as its the same for file for every user and every user who has installed the package has to delete the file.
Basically my question is: Why do you not create a workaround, so that manual intervention is not required?
You, as a person, can tell what changes you have made to the first file. You can also tell if those changes need to be put into the new file, and where they should go. You can tell this because you're an intelligent person capable of reasoning, a computer can't do this. We can create workarounds for quite a few situations, but we can't ever be 100% sure what a user changed or wants to change. We need the user to tell us what he / she wants, thus we require manual intervention.
I hope this explains the need for manual intervention.

Recommended order for Arch's 2012 update manual interventions
Well, sending my laptop off for repairs has forced me to use my old laptop which has been sitting around gathering dust since April 2012. As we all know, a bunch of fun stuff happened with Arch Linux just after that. I don't want to re-install and I seem to remember that, after we got through that mess, someone posted a recommended order for handling each of the changes for computers that needed to do all the updates at once. I'm having trouble finding that info. Does anyone remember the proper order or have the link to that info? The computer already has systemd installed.
By my count, I will need to handle:
udev -> systemd-tools
filesystem manual intervention
the libc debacle
fontconfig manual intervention
consolekit -> logind
the later filesystem & libc update: on its own it was simple, but compounded with the problems from summer 2012, it might be painful
Bonus level: replace GRUB with GRUB 2
The filesystem and libc ones are the main things to worry about, I think.

Go though the news and try to fix it.
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=162765 is a recent topic about updating an old Arch install.
Yes, I got my to-do list from the news page. The only reason for this post is that I remember someone saying that, if all of them need to be done at once, there is a recommended order to doing them. I'm trying to find that info. Otherwise, I'll just go in chronological order. -
Hi,
We've had some problems with Coherence nodes crashing under high write load. I've attached the stack - can anyone help? Cameron mentioned that he knew something about this bug.
Kindest regards,
Andrew.

Cameron mentioned that he knew something about this bug.The situation is that there is a member of the cluster that has a hung "DistributedCache" service and as a result (1) new nodes cannot join the service and (2) existing requests cannot finish. The log you attached points to situation #2.
In the upcoming 3.5 release we are working on making this process automatic. Currently, the only cure is to manually intervene and kill/restart the offending member. From looking at the logs there seems to be different offending nodes in each instance. This may indicate that there is some code that is causing a block on the service thread, perhaps calling out to another cache on the same cache service or something similar. Please open an SR for this and the next time you see this type of message please do a kill -3 on the offending member and attach that to the SR as well.
The offending member can be identified by the information in bold below:

Freight posting in MIRO based upon multiple goods receipt.
Hi
In one of the companies they are requesting the freight charge to be broken into multiple lines (based upon multiple goods receipt) instead of one consolidated balances in the invoice (MIRO). Right now each time we do a MIGO against the same PO the system creates a seperate material document and the entry is (and that is correct) :
Inventory - XXXX
GR/IR (Cost)- XXXX
GR/IR (Freight) XXXX
PPV XXXX
for example if migo is done 3 times against the same PO the system posts 3 seperate material document and everything is correct.
When we do a MIRO the system generates 3 seperate lines for GR/IR (Cost) but it consolidates GR/IR(freight) and posts the entire value in one line.
Requirement is : We want the system to break freight cost into 3 seperate in the invoice.
Did anyone come across this issue before.
Thanks
JosephHi Joseph,
I guess you can use MIRO 3 times, and post separated delivery costs into 3 freight invoices.
During each time, you can choose only 1 line to carry out the posting.
Thanks and regards,

AppleScript-based rule only works manually
Greetings,
I have set up numerous Rules to automatically move messages to specific folders, based on Subject headers. These work automatically, as new mail comes in.
However, one of my Rules is set up to "Run Applescript." The script deals with a single file that gets e-mailed to me by one of my webservers at 11:00 each night. It deletes the previous night's file from the HD, grabs the new attachment, saves it to the HD, and deletes the message in Mail. The script works correctly, but the Rule (which is set as Active) only works when I select the message and do it manually (Command-Option-L) -- not automatically when the message arrives.
Why is this?
The script, which lives in /Library/Scripts/Mail Scripts/Rule Actions, is below.
Thanks!
DM
<hr>
using terms from application "Mail"
on perform mail action with messages theMessages for rule theRule
tell application "Mail"
repeat with thisMessage in theMessages
set theAttachment to first item of thisMessage's mail attachments
set theAttachmentFile to theAttachment's name
tell application "Finder"
if exists "iBook:Users:me:Documents:" & theAttachmentFile then
delete "iBook:Users:me:Documents:" & theAttachmentFile
end if
end tell
save theAttachment in "iBook:Users:me:Documents:" & theAttachmentFile
delete thisMessage
end repeat
end tell
end perform mail action with messages
end using terms fromI would start by verifying that the rule is in fact firing - add a set color of background action before the run applescript action.
Next I would try a few magic incantations:
change the script location to ~/Library/Scripts/Applications/Mail/
remove the "for rule theRule" from the on perform
add an on run handler after the end of the existing script
using terms from application "Mail"
on run
tell application "Mail" to set sel to selection
tell me to perform mail action with messages (sel)
end run
end using terms from
Why? 'cos any scripts that I have successfully run from a rule are like that! The 3rd one has the advantage that you can apply your script to selected messages, which can be useful (though not in the present case).
If none of this works, it is time to try some serious debugging. You could consider putting in an try ... on error with a display dialog for the error message, or simply a display dialog on script entry to verify that it is running.
Let me know ...

Want to trigegr an idoc only if done manual intervention and not automatic
We have a requirement where the idoc needs to be generated only if a user creates the it, and not through automated process.
The particular idoc is the delivery idoc.We can manually create delivery, then only the delivery idoc should be created, else it should not be created. We have process in place by which you can automate the creation of delivery by inbound processes. We do not use any workflow in oursystem.
Any Help would be greatly appreciated.Hi,
Firstly i didnt get the diff b/w manual and automatic.
If automatic does mean Background job running, check the field BATCH in the structure SYST.
IF sy-batch IS INITIAL. " This is foreground.
check for the other variables in the structure syst and find the diff b/w these fields in manual and automatic modes; and use IF conditions appropriately.
reward if helpful,
regards,
teja.

InDesign unpredictable spacing on top of text box.
Hello everyone. I have quite a frustrating problem that I'm assuming is an easy fix. InDesign is creating this empty space on top of my textbox depending where i place the box. In this case, I found the exact pixel position where when I move the box
