My Zen Sleek? ( non photo) suddenly froze and stopped working . Ive cleaned up, rebooted and formatted and it now is not working at all. I went to update the firmware as suggested and it wont run on my computer as its Windows 98SE. I contacted customer support as its under warranty?and they have told me that the Sleek is not for use with anything before Windows XP and "?to kindly use it with an XP OS ". why then?do the requirments state Windows 98SE ? and what am I going to do??I have a MP3 I saved up for that doesnt work unless according to CS I buy a new computer?Can anyone help I'm ?really floored with this level of customer service

No, they are right, the Sleek Photo, like the Sleek, states in the System Requirements that it requires Windows XP SP or higher. You can find the requirements here:

The Sleek Photo is PlaysForSure compliant, and part of that standard laid down by Microsoft requires Windows XP(SP)
I'm not sure where you saw requirements stating Win98SE, but I remember that product coming out since I worked on the phones, and it's requirements said WinXP then. I'm sorry, but it really just won't work on Win98SE.

    Entiendo su preocupación, ya que cualquier cargo extraño que aparece en un estado de cuenta puede ser alarmante. En este caso, el último cargo que puede recuperar usando el correo electrónico que usaste para registrarte al foro, refleja que se renovó un antivirus Kaspersky. Esta autorización nos diste cuando realizaste la compra de tu Lenovo, desde entonces se renueva automáticamente la licencia de antivirus.
    Las otras publicaciones que has leído, indican lo mismo. Un cargo que se ha hecho a la tarjeta de crédito que se presentó durante la compra con la autorización del cliente.

  • Presenter error after pressing video record. Third attempt to receive help from customer support.

    I open powerpoint, press adobe presenter in the ribbon, press the video record option, camera aperas to be working fine, I press record, and then the system crashes. "Application encountered an internal error. If the problem persists, please report on product support forums of contact the support team." Presentation/Audio recording works fine. Video recording works fine with other software. I'm using a Dell Optiplex 990, 64bit operating windows 7 system. I record with the built-in camera on the DELL U2212HM monitor. Drivers are up to date. I sent in error reports (two times; a third time following this post) over the previous 2 months and have heard nothing back from customer support.

  • How can I receive list of my purchases in Apple store from customer support

    Hi I need help in contacting customer support to get full information about my purchases on Apple store through Visa card. All I purchased was a 20$ in game purchase for my little brother , however several days later I found out that more than 70$ were withdrawn from the debut card... And after checking  the bank I was notified that all purchases were through Apple Store...and  i'm 100% sure that only 20$ were used by me from this card and did not purchase any other item.
    Any advice or help of how I can know of how and where the money went?

    If you have a backup that you created prior to using CleanMyMac, now is the time to use it. For Time Machine, boot OS X Recovery, and at the Mac OS X Utilities screen, choose Restore from Time Machine Backup. Choose a date preceding the installation of CleanMyMac.
    If you do not have a backup, create one now, verify that it is a viable backup of your essential software and files, then erase your Mac completely, reinstall OS X and your essential software. When you reinstall your essential software, you must do so from their original sources, not from a backup that may have been corrupted.
    Nothing less than erasing your Mac and rebuilding it from the ground up will undo the effects of having used CleanMyMac, and its developer's instructions for uninstalling it are not completely effective.
    I know no other way to recover from having used CMM other than the recommendations above.

    Are you entering the serial number or a number used to get the serial number. I think that Adobe may be changing the way that the serial numbers are distributed and it may be that you have a chit (as you might call it) to retrieve the S/N. Check the information sent carefully. If you are installing an upgrade, then it may be looking for the S/N of the previous version, not the new one.

  • How can I have a call with someone from Customer Support if I live in Costa Rica? I have forgotten the answers to my security questions and basically I can't buy anything on iTunes. I do not have a rescue email account otherwise I won't be writing here.

  • Payment withheld and customer support unable to help

    My payment for about $4,000 was withheld this month because of an outstanding $30 app ad campaign balance.
    The balance exists because my bank issued me a new credit card, replacing my old credit card on file. Ok, fine, I assumed I can pay the balance and have my payment issued, right? Wrong, the problem is that there is no way to pay the balance. I was finally
    able to add my new card as a payment option but even adding the new card as a payment option does nothing; the ad campaign remains unpaid and no payment can be issued.
    I've created support tickets and customer support has been unable to resolve this issue, with no end in sight. What few responses I've received from customer support all read the same way: "we are investigating the issue but have no updates for you
    at this time". Meanwhile I fully expect my next month's payment to be withheld as well, because the outstanding balance is still there.
    Has this happened to anybody else? If so were you able to resolve this? I find it hard to believe I'm the only one who has an outstanding balance for an app ad campaign.
    I am half-hoping that somebody higher up reads this who has the authority or resources to help with this. I'm amazed there is no solution for this after weeks. I am simply out of options, I have no idea what can be done about this.

    You might not be able to create a new campaign in the payment failed state, but you can go to campaign creation page, add a new credit card and select the same. This will change the credit card associated with your account. If the card is good for swipe,
    the account will be unblocked during the next monthly swipe cycle.
    Please do so before the end of this month, so that your accounts get unblocked before the next payout cycle which is usually in the first week of every month.

  • Customer Support Won't Respond to Emails or Phone Calls. Give up. Need help.

    This is the second time I've purchased an Adobe Design product, encountered bugs, and received no help from Customer Support. The last time, with Dreamweaver, several people in our office tried and failed to get help from Customer Support. We eventually had to find a work around on our own. This time, I'm on my own, and don't think a work around is possible.
    My copy of ID 5.5 is corrupt. All images place and then export as pixilated and jagged, plus html tags for ePub become corrupted on export. I phoned Adobe Tech Support last week. Spoke to someone in India, who shared my screen with me, and agreed I'm using the program correctly, that InDesign shouldn't be doing what it's doing. He told me he would call back in two hours with a solution. Still hasn't called back. Got an email that my support case was open and that a response was required from me, but when I go to the open ticket page, there is absolutely no information about the case. It doesn't list the problem I've reported, what is being done, nor what type of response they're requesting from me. The only thing on the page is a box for me to type in a message. Did it. Did it twice. No response from Adobe.
    I am really getting frustrated here and believe the best thing to do would be to re-install the program. Only problem, I'm a subscription user. I don't have a disk. I also can't locate the page on adobe.com that even says if uninstalling and reinstalling the program is allowed.
    Does anyone know how to do this and where to find the page about re-installing Adobe subscription software? Not just the regular Adobe Support page. Already been there a number of times. The actual page where you go to reinstall your subscription software, or perhaps order a disk after the fact.

    I think there's not a lot of experience with subscription problems here -- most of us are existing InDesign users and the subscription model is new.
    Adobe North America is on vacation all this week. I realize support is mostly in India (InDia?) but that probably doesn't help.
    I can't imagine uninstalling and reinstalling is not allowed.
    I would download the trial version of InDesign and install that -- it's exactly the same as the regular version, and I imagine the same as the subscription version. With normal licensing, you can install the trial, wait 30 days, and then punch in a valid serial number without having to reinstall. So I imagine that subscription model is somewhat similar, but again, I can't speak with authority.
    Anyhow, have you tried the standard solutions linked from the main forum page?

  • Latest garbage from BT support - the "fault thresh...

    Hi all -
    So, after months and months - and months - of messing around, spending hours on the phone etc., and following two visits from Open Reach engineers (which I was NOT invoiced for, NB – meaning faults lay beyond my door and not within), it transpires that I must accept a line speed of 0.5mbs.
    Let me put that another way. I may well experience speeds of up to - wait for it, wait for it – 1.0mbs, (a speed I *regularly* received from my previous provider - five years which now feel like a golden age, compared to the last 5 months or more).
    In the last 3 months, I would guess that my connection has run at 1.0mbs for an hour here and there. Definitely not for any prolonged length of time - e.g. a day or more. Rather, for 95% of the time, the connection has been bumping along the bottom - running at around half a meg. Often slumping to 0.3, and - for a fortnight recently - glimmering very faintly at 0.1mbs.
    To say I am extremely dissatisfied with this service – and indeed that of customer support – is at this juncture a huge understatement. This morning I was informed that although I now continuously experience an almost unbroken speed of 0.5mbs I cannot expect much better than this, nor can this be reported as a fault, and thus a case cannot be opened.
    Pardon?? 0.5mbs CANNOT be reported as a fault?? But I signed a contract stating that I would received a connection speed between 1mbs and 2mbs. Or did I? Customer support asked me if I could be certain of this. I said yes. Well in any case, I was informed that there is a “fault threshold” that would create a speed below 1mbs (the person I spoke to could not tell me how slow this resultant speed would be, however).
    In short, it transpires that there was some small print somewhere to the effect that 1mbs was the max, not 2mbs – and, moreover, that a fault threshold clause somehow manages to make 1mbs the maximum speed. I don't know. I'm not at all clear on any of this - and I'm not entirely sure anyone else is either.
    All I *do* know is that for the best part of 5 years I have been able to watch YouTube clips without endless, teeth-gnashingly maddening buffering, and yet since changing to BT about 6 months ago this is has been a rare event indeed. In the past, I learned to drum from YouTube, I've been able to see how to repair and maintain various household appliances and equipment from radios to motorbikes, and now – nope. No way. Just not possible any more.
    Yes, yes – my previous provider could be flaky. There were certainly times when I experienced frustrations at various faults. But – as I said – compared to BT they were giants in their field. They were in the broadband pantheon. To find, this morning, after so much futzing and phoning, that there is this “fault threshold” thing, effectively ensuring that I will now remain at 0.5mbs, is – I feel – some extremely devious sleight of hand on the part of BT.
    Because really – come on – my connection has increased from 0.3mbs to 0.5mbs. I CHALLENGE ANYONE ANYWHERE TO DETECT SUCH A DIFFERENCE. That should NEVER be regarded as an improvement, it should NOT be definable as a fault located and resolved. And yet my case has been closed – hell, I never even received a call to ASK ME IF THE FAULT HAD BEEN RESOLVED.
    BT Customer Support is obliged to call you following efforts to resolve a problem with your connection. But they did NOT call. Categorically, absolutely – nobody from Customer Support rang me following the visit by an Open Reach engineer last Friday. And you can of course guess why. Precisely because I would have stated that, no, the fault has most definitely NOT been resolved. I mean, seriously – can you imagine it? Sir, can you please now go to the test site and measure your connection speed? Yes certainly....*test, test*....oooh, super! Brilliant! The fault has been resolved – look, I'm now getting a glorious 0.5mbs rather than the paltry 0.3mbs that I was receiving prior to the efforts of the Open Reach engineer. FFS!!
    Mine are very modest requirements for a broadband customer. I have never sought to DL films, or do whatever else it is possible to do with a 5mb connection or more. No. All I ask is for a more or less stable connection of 1mbs. I am very hacked off with BT. I feel like I've been paying for a service I've not been receiving – and been thoroughly ripped off. It's been pillar to post, endless rounds of call queues and b*llsh*t service. And now this – the “fault threshold” gambit. Genius. Utter genius. I have to admit, this is a masterstroke. My god, you've got to hand it to them.

    In that case why do I keep getting a message from BT telling me to reset my router?? If resetting my router is the worst thing I could possibly do, don't you think BT would ensure that no instruction to do so would be repeatedly sent to me??
    Or am I missing something very obvious here? Is there a screen that I'm missing that says something along the lines of " We know we have just told you to go straight to your BT router and press the reset button on the side of it, but in fact that is actually the worst thing to do - and for this reason you must utterly disregard our first instruction."
    Because I am not seeing such a message. All I ever see is the first message. So now I am wondering if resetting my router is the worst thing to do, quite why BT would tell me to do that.
    Now, straight on the heels of that, let me tell you - here and now - that I do believe you. I do believe that resetting my router is the worst thing to do. Because it all fits in with the level of service I have received right from the very beginning of this sorry, pathetic fiasco - a fiasco that I am paying hand over fist for, and yet repeatedly, determinedly and resloutely not receiving. To wit, broad band. My speed has hardly ever been fast enough to be regarded as broad band. But of course that's precisely what I've been billed for.
    So - now that you tell me BT are instructing me to do something that is wholly opposed and very much at odds with what I actually SHOULD be doing - I realise that you simply *must* be right. Because this utterly perverse and wrong development is totally in keeping with every other aspect of the provision I have received.

    Absolutely incredible. It took me 22 minutes to get to some place on this site where I could contact - anyone or anything. I wanted to contact customer support or technical support but I just kept getting shipped around all over the site always looping right back to the same place. All you do is let me ask questions and search FAQs - and my questions are never answered or even addressed.  
    I want to shut off the 'print alignment page' that pops up every time I change cartridges. It is not necessary to do this and the time it takes interferes with my work. I usually have to do it 3-4 times because it claims it has not printed or scanned the alignment page - when it has, in fact, done both. By the time I finish, it has wasted so much ink that I am almost ready for a new cartridge again. 
    Can I please get an email from customer support addressing this sepcific issue - since it is not addressed anywhere on this site.
