Mobile Time Sheet - group time

All,
Our company would like to implement MTT (Mobile Time & Travel) with the ability to enter time for multiple employees at a time in MTS. We know that this function is driven by data entry profiles and is designed by SAP to allow single employee time entry. Has anyone faced this business requirement to adapt MTS for multiple employees (group time) or developed a Mobile Infrastructure applicatioj to address this functionality gap ?

As of version xMTT 2.0 SR4, this functionality is available. The application is available on SMP.

Tcode: CAT2 - Time sheet: Maintain Times

Hi All,
In tcode: CAT2, then go to Setting -> tab DEFAULT, there's field called Activity Type. The field will display or hidden based on the setting in tcode: SPRO. If user set hidden, we will can't see this field show in the tab.
In SPRO, the is multiple option for setting for this field ACTIVITY TYPE: (eg: Input, Req, Disp. Hide, etc). Can I know what are the table to stored for this setting so that we know that field is set to 'Input' . Thanks.

Why is my Time Sheet not working on Android Readers?

I have a Time Sheet with Javascript that adds the times up, and it works perfect with the PC version of Adobe Reader, but when I try to use it on a nexus 7 tablet the calculations don't work.
I have tried the official Adobe Reader for Android as well as about a dozen other readers. If there is a reader that will work with this sheet as is, I don't mind paying for it, or perhaps part of my JavaScript is not supported on mobile, and I can change it with a workaround.

Entry of time sheets by many personnel numbers at the same time

I have a requirement from the client where time sheets to be entered by a group of employees at the same time.
2. The employee should enter the time sheet from any place out of office may be internet outside ie web enabled time sheet.
Please suggest me how to perform the above two things in the CATS.

If this parameter is set to true, then the list of materialized views is refreshed in a single transaction. All of the refreshed materialized views are updated to a single point in time. If the refresh fails for any of the materialized views, none of the materialized views are updated.
If this parameter is set to false, then each of the materialized views is refreshed in a separate transaction.Each one becomes a separate transaction. Some may run in parallel, some serially, you have no control. So it may well be one at a time. The bigger issue, if they are separate transactions, is that if someone queries one the corresponding data may not exist in the others. Is this what you want?

Time sheet entry

Dear All,
we are running two system. One is HR Server and the other is CORE Server (for FICO,MM,PS,SD,PP) . We have been maintaining projects in the CORE server. Now while entering Time sheet in HR server we want the system to validate the network, wbs and the activities in the CORE server. Can we use any Function module for this purpose.
If this is not possible then we want to copy all the projects to the HR systems.

The basis team should be able to copy the config table and the transactional master data from Project systems to HR. Check with your PS team to provide the table names. I think they might have already had the group of tables and transaction data available for transfering for testing purpose.

Dear PM guys,
During confirmation of order, we are entering the personnel number and Actual work.Based on this in Iw47 we can track the hours worked by particular employee or group of employees for a paricular period(ie posting date).
Is it possible to have the same functionality in time sheet entry(instead of confirmation of order and entering personnel numbers).Since my client wants to explore the possibility to have timesheet entry,pl help me.

Time sheet updation for Associates

Dear All
We are calling our operators as associates. We are planning all our activities & executing them using Pm orders. Each operation is assigned to the personal number. Now we want to integrates time sheet updation with the confirmation. My requirement is to update time for associates automatically in time sheet when i confirm the order operation assigned to person. What should i do to meet the requirement. Can you tell me configuration required to be done or any development i need to do for that so that i can meet that requirement?

First You have to create the
Data Entry Profile
The data entry profile determines the method of data entry, the layout of the data entry screen, and the following factors:
Whether times can be entered for individual employees or for groups of employees
Which data can be maintained (confirmations, services, and so on)
Whether time sheet data is entered on a daily, weekly or monthly basis
Whether or not the data entered is subject to approval

After then You can use TC CAT2 in whch you have to mainain the Responsble persong along with activity time and cost center,Order for which you want to fill required Time Confirmation.Then you have to Use TC CAT9 for transfer Working hours of responsible person to Order.Execute this transction.Now you can see the posted time in iw33 EXTRADocument For order----Completion confirmation.

Entering time sheet for external service employee

Hi all,
My scenario is,
I created a external service for my network in the project. PR has been created. I've converted the PR into PO(Service) and then i maintained a HR master and assign the PO details. But when i try to enter the time sheet for that employee i couldn't.Anyone can explain the process flow for this scenario please.

Once you create external service PO, the same should have been assigned to HR master. Try to create as group so that time entry can be done conveniently.
Check the below links. I guess, you are using CAT time entry transaction to create Service entry sheet. Use CATM transaction to create time entry.

Activity type in time sheet

Hi all,
In PS we donu2019t capture any cost. In such case, While entering timesheet, the system through an error message, to enter sender Activity type and it is not allowing to enter timesheet.
Now, what should be done to skip entering activity type and enter timesheet without entering activity type?
I guess it is controlled through work center, by not maintaining costing tab, but the system does not allow to save the work center without entering the cost center under costing tab.
Please suggest, in entering time sheet without activity type

Hi,
Go to --> SPRO --> Cross Application Components --> Time Sheet --> Settings for all User Interfaces --> Time Recording --> Choose Fields -->Data Entry section --> Activity types
Double click and in reference to data entry profiles we can restrict the entry for the activity type whether it is required / Display / Hide / Input.
Check and confirm whether the problem is solved

Error while approving time sheet "Internal Error Occurred"

1) Time Sheet entry done for an employee b/w 3rd-5th Oct 2011, while approving it through T code - CATS_APPR_LITE, its giving the error " INTERNAL ERROR OCCURRED" !!!
When the error is expanded, the below details have come up.
Internal error occurred
Message no. LR030
Diagnosis
The system has detected an internal program error which should not have occurred in a normal program run.
Procedure
To safeguard your data, notify the SAP hotline.
2) Please let us know, is there any other procedure or way to approve the time sheets ???

The above format will be taken as print weekly & the users will manually sign the sheet.
Second & fourth Saturdays column back color should be changed to different color.

Well, you do not say if you have a database to work from, so if not, start with excel.
You can create a fairly simple table in the example below DATE is at A1, in A2, Out A3
first date at B1, Sign in at B2, and Sign Out at B3, etc...

Right click in the details section, and select Format with multiple columns.   At the top right you should see a layout tab now.
click on the layout tab, select a detail size of 1 inch (or whatever fits on your paper)   also select a printing direction of
across then down.
Preview your report,   You can add other columns as needed...   Hope this gives you a good start.

Dropdown Custom Field in CATS Time Sheet in ESS

I have added a custom field in CAT2 transaction with drop down values from the custom table. When I log on to ESS I was not able to see the dropdown in timesheet for that field. I am able to configure the field to have a search help dialog box.
Let me know how can I configure the field to show dropdown values in time sheet in ESS? Appreciate your replies.
