  • Caary forward of balance sheet accounts

    Hello,
I do have a problem with the carrying forward of balance sheet accounts. I would like to write the closing balance of the accounts of the previous month to the opening balance of the following month. It is for operative planning. I have created following business rule within the Finance application of BPC for the account technical equipment:
Account                    Account Detail      Account   Account Detail   Reverse   Data       Same    YTD
(Closing Bal.)                       (Opening Bal.)    Sign    Src. Type  Period
11101020_TEEQMAOW  ACLO      11101020_TEEQMAOW  AOPE          False     ALL     False    False
I have also created an account transformation rule with analogue specification.
I have referenced both of them in the default.lgf:
    *SysLib Stored_Procedure_wrapper.lgl
    RunCopyOpening(FINANCE,%RptCurrency_Set%,%Category_Set%)
    *Commit
    *SysLib Stored_Procedure_wrapper.lgl
    RunCalcAccount(FINANCE,%Category_Set%,%RptCurrency_Set%)
    *Commit
I have also tried the RunCalcAccount formula with fixed values instead of variable ones.
Before and after I send data with EVDRE, I ran the data manager default package, it runs OK, but it doesn't seem to make any calculations.
Is there any SQL logic or do I have to run the data manger differently? I already have tried some other logic from the user guide and the help, but it didn't work.
Can anybody help me, I'm happy to provide more information.
    Thanks in advance!

But if the YTD data structure won't work for you, I wouldn't even waste the time -- focus on the SPRunCalcAccount syntax, and the corresponding "account transformation" business rule table.

    Thank you very much Tim!
I know have tried to compose a SPRunCalcAccount Logic , as well as two SQL logics. Sadly, none of them works.
    SPRunCalcAccount Logic:
    *RUN_STORED_PROCEDURE=SPRUNCALCACCOUNT([Finance], [CPlan1])
I have filled out the Business Rule table for the account transformation with the following information:
    11101020_TEEQMAOW    ACLO  11101020_TEEQMAOW  AOPE   False     -1     False   0
Is it OK to fill in -1 for Period and to leave the data source empty?
I have written the logic in the default.lgf to test it, but nothing happened? Do I have to include a Time member?
The two script logics are as follows:
    *CALC_EACH_PERIOD
    *WHEN ACCOUNT
    *IS AOPE, MOVEMENTS
    *REC(ACCOUNT=ACLO)
    *REC(ACCOUNT=AOPE,TIME=NEXT)
    *ENDWHEN
AOPE stands for the Opening Balance within the Account subtable Acctdetail. ACLO stands for the Closing Balance.
    *WHEN ACCOUNT.FINSTMT
    *IS BS
    *REC(FACTOR=GET(ACCTDETAIL=ACLO, TIME=PRIOR), ACCTDETAIL=AOPE)
    *ENDWHEN
BS stands for Balance Sheet within the Account Property FINSTMT (Financial Statement).
Hope this is enough information for you. I thank you very much in advance!

  • Balance Sheet Accounts

    Hello -
I'm trying to bring two different fiscal year/periods, for BALANCE SHEET GL accounts, into the query results without having each fiscal year period listed-out individually.  For example, I want to look at two different periods in order to compare balances from one period to the next.  So I enter in period 003/2007 and then 004/2007 for the comparison period. However, because it is a balance sheet account, and in order to get the cumulative balance (not just the movement for a particular month), I have to use the "less than or equal to" restriction on the fiscal year/period objects.  But then what happens is my query results have 30 + columns per each fiscal year/period starting in January of 2003.  Ultimately, I just want two columns with cumulative totals: one for 004/2007 and one for 003/2007.  Does anyone have any experience with this scenario?  Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

    Hi,
You should work with varexits.User inputs one value for  0FISCPER in a var ZFP, single, mandatory.
then you determine two other variables of type interval for your YTD cumulative BALANCE.
Depending on which fiscal time IObj you have in your IProvider it may get even easier if you have 0FISCYEAR and 0FISCPER3.
Please let me know what IObj do you have available and if you need assistance with the ABAP. With Dsource/content are you using? Sometimes even the cumulative balance is available...
    hope this helps...
    Olivier.

  • Balance sheet accounts not updating in GLPCA / GLPCT

    Hello,
I am working on MySAP 6.0 version and posting FI document giving profit center as an account assignment.
When I check the table entries in GLPCA and GLPCT I could see only P&L accounts updated in these tables but not the balance sheet accounts viz Bank Account.
To be more elaborate if my entry is as under
Dr Expense Account (PCA1) GLPCA / GLPCT  (It is updated)
Cr Bank Account (PCA2) GLPCA / GLPCT (ignoring this line item)
However if I post a similar entry directly into PCA module these tables do get updated with balance sheet accounts.
Would anybody have any reasoning for this?

    HI
Originally till 4.7 SAP had only month end transaction to push many of balance sheet items to PCA only from the new versions it is having this online transfer usinf assignment of PCA to Gl accounts and then deriving PCA through splitting rules. Thats is why P7L items automatically flow however for balance sheet items especially creditors and debtors, bank and others it requires proper derivation.
Even in Balance sheet Asset will flow automatically

  • 3 way match on balance sheet accounts

    Hello,
Our company has decided to get away from direct FI Invoices. We want to raise POs for everything we can. We have got some annual maintenance contracts and insurance premiums for which we receive one invoice for full year. These invoices are posted to balance sheet accounts via direct FI because they are accruals and then they are posted monthly to expense accounts via recurring entries.
There is a possibility to raise a PO on a balance sheet account using Account Assignment Category '9' However once a balance sheet account is put in, there is no field available for keying in the cost centre. Our PO approvals are dependend upon the release strategy assigned to the cost centres and we dont want our POs to be live without being approved.
Is there any way of getting these POs approved without using the release strategy functionality?
    Regards
    Keyur

    Hi Jeffrey,
I am not sure what you are mentioned the cost element is "B/L account" or a "P/L" account, Normally
if it is a cost element, then this G/L account should be a P/L account.
If it is a P/L account, when you run BCF PRG with flag of balance retained earng.acct, then systm
will carryforward the balance of this P/L account to transaction "BIL" account. and no balance is carryforwarded from end of prior year to the beginning of next year.
In case it is a B/L account, then the balance will be carryforwarded into next year.

  • Project Stock Monthly Balance

We are running PS with valuated project stock.  Our accountants would like to have a monthly balance of all project stock similar to what SAP can produce for plant stock in MC.5.  Does anyone know how to do this or something similar?

    Hi,
Please check MMBE for Project Stock Or MBBS - valueated Q Stock.
    hope this will help you.

  • Credit memo for Balance sheet account

We have a balance in account XXX (Description- Other: accrued expenses & prepaid income, nwc, out) that we need to be able to deplete through a credit memo to a customer.
Customer prepaid for material and once a month we issue a credit memo based on an internal calcuation to refund that repayment.  How do assign a specific account assignment to a credit memo, so that the credit memo is not posted to a Sales credit account.

It seems to me like an accounting and business misunderstanding of the business process.  When you do the Goods issue to the Cost Center it means that the Cost Center is consuming those materials, they are issues to "production process" and in this case you naturally debiting the P&L account (with a cost element category 1).
If your concept is about "designated Cost Center stock" this means simply moving materials between two stock locations that has no impact in financial accounting.  There is no such thing in standard SAP as designated Cost Center stock.
You can have a special stock for SD order and for WBS-element (project stock), and in this case it is reflected with a BS account (and a cost element category 90) at WBS-element.
If you need designated "Cost Center" stock you have two possible options:
    1. Create a storage locations
    2. Create a project and utilize a designated project stock (having "mapped" your WBS-elements to Cost Centers)

  • Unable to view entries in FAGLL03 for Zero Balance Clearing Account

    Hi experts,
We are facing a unique problem. We are not able to view the line items of the Zero Balance clearing account. The master data of the G/L has been activated for line items but still the display of the items is not happening. I am getting the foll message:
Account 19900000, company code 1100 is clearing account
    Message no. MSITEM111
    Diagnosis
You have stored account 19900000 in company code 1100 as a clearing account. At the same time, you use line item management with this account.
    System Response
Error message issued because line item display cannot read data for an account in a ledger if line items exist partially in the entry view together with clearing items for which there are no line items. In such cases, only the data with line items would be selected.
    Procedure
Check the Customizing settings or account control. Change the settings so that only automatic postings without line items can be made to the account, or select a different account as the clearing account.
    Regards,
    Sateesh

    Hi
In splitting case you need not the give the line item display tab for Zero Balance Clearing Account.
Just remove that line item display in FS00 for Zero Balance account. You could be able to see the entries in FAGLL03

EX: you want to open the report up to period 6th 2009 and want see the figures including the carryforward balances from 2008.
then in selection screen select the from period = 0  and to period =6.

  • CO account assignment on a GR/IR Account (Balance sheet Account)

The GR/IR account line item on Goods Receipt(GR) documents picks up the account assignment ( WBS Element, Cost center or an Order) from the Purchase order account assignment.
The GR/IR account is defined as a Balance sheet account. So it is abnormal to pick up a CO account assignment on the GR/IR account line item on a Goods receipt or Invoice document.
I shall appreciate if some expert here lets me know if there is a fix(an OSS note)  in order for the GR/IR account NOT to pick up a CO account assignment on the subsequent documents(Goods receipt and Invoice) from the Purchase order.
    Thanks in advance.
    Vijayanth

    Hi Vijaynath,
If you have the modules like CO, PS, FM, IM and activated the above modules, at the time of the GR system compulsarly will ask for account assignment. Because PO might be crated for a project or cost center. In the above 2 cases system will look for account assignment.
I guess system picksup the cost center or WBS against the Raw Material account but not for the GR/IR clearing account. Please check it.
For the raw material and asset accounts you can create statistical cost elements.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Credit Memo all my material items to be directly posted to Balance Sheet account

    Hi Experts
My client has a  scenario where for certain items they create a credit memo request document and finally a credit memo document from the VKOA system is picking the revenue bearing GL and posting all the line items to that G/L account
Manually my customer is again checking and extracting the p/l and posting to balance sheet account
is there a way where we can directly post these entries to Balance Sheet account
    Best Regards
    Waseem

    Hi Sanil
Thanks for the quick reply, can we assign a balance sheet account directly in VKOA in the G/L account field or do we need to add this in directly in Provision acc field
As suggested by you we already have the access sequence with respect to Order Reason, I am just doubtful wether we can directly give Balance Sheet account in G/L account field
    Best Regards

  • Goods receipt(PO) - balance sheet account

    Hi,
Can someone explain to me what does posting to balance sheet account upon goods receipt means?
Does balance sheet account = inventory account?
Does this mean that the inventory qty has to be increased after GR?
    Thanks

Thanks both of you for the replies.
Can you advise me on how to resolve the below scenarios?
1)Currently, for sales order purchases, we are using acct assign category "sales order" in PO, the stock qty is consumed by the sales order upon goods receipt.
And it will post to COGS & GR/IR acct upon Goods receipt.
If the requirement is to post to balance sheet account upon GR,
-does that mean I have to bring this qty into inventory?
    - meaning I should be using another acct assign category in the PO.
2)Another scenario is that  they also purchase services for the sales order,  and they are handling this purchase using another customized acct assign category in the PO that allows you to post to G/L acct directly without cost center. (no material master entered in the PO)
Upon IV, it will post to COGS and vendor accounts.
If the requirement is to post to balance sheet account upon IV,
    - is that possible?
    - Does that mean i have to bring this services into inventory as well? does not really make sense..
Hope one of you can clear my doubts on this..

  • Zero Balance clearing account shows balance?

    HI All,
My "zero balance clearing account" shows balance and hence my trial balance is not matching.
We have posted some WA(goods receipt) documents from MM side and cancelled those due to wrongly entered of internal order in those documents. And Debit line item is missing in those cancelled documents and hence credit amount is showing in my zero balance account.
How can i get rid of this problem and match my trial balance ?
    Regards,
    Sumeya Offrin

    Hi Sumiya,
Check the Trial Balance GL Line Item wise through FAGLL03/FBL3N - G/L Account Line Items.
If any correction reverse the Entry do it again.
One more Check the MM Transactions All materials are reversed are not.
Check the Stock Balance in MB5B through GL Wise Stock Account.
