Mouse is Jumpy in 64 bit Mode

Question

A few weeks ago I noticed that my mouse/cursor was acting strange it would jump around on the screen. Made it very hard to make fine movements and made it harder than anything to select links on webpages. When ever I have to reboot from software updates or to use bootcamp. I always press "6" and "4" to have it boot into 64 bit mode. I mainly use my logitech mouse mostly because of comfort. So I started to use the wireless mac mouse. That didn't seem to make a difference. Well the last update I had to reboot the computer and the mouse acted fine. I forgot to press the 6 and 4. I rebooted the mac to be in 64 bit mode and the jumpy mouse came back with the logitech and mac mouse. Sorry for being long winded but I want to make sure I had enough detail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
