Movers Edge issues

I'm having frustrating situation when attempting to move my services.  A few weeks ago I went to the Movers Edge website to transfer my services.  It seemsed pretty easy but after my transaction processed, I got a conformation number but I never recieved a confirmation email AND the transfer never took place.  I tried again on the website with the same results.  I have also called the Movers Edge hotline multiple times but there seems to be technical or systems issues every time I call.  I just want to move my services and change to a new package.  The website was very easy to use but it seems like my transactions never go through.  Is there something I am doing incorrectly?  I would love some help getting this taken care of ASAP.  Thanks

Did they offer you a visa gift card to transfer service? Then when you ask why it hasn't arrived, they say, "Who? What gift card?" Then when you say you have a screenshot of the offer and the confirmation chat... The phone starts acting funny?

  • Xfinity Movers Edge Seamless?? Let's explore

    Please be aware that xfinity’s Movers Edge service does not work.  As a result and after sticking with the company since 2002, I will be taking my internet/tv business elsewhere…anywhere else. Where to begin?  First of all, the program sells how easy and seamless it is.  To me, seamless does not include me being without service for 20 days.  20 days!  I work from home.  How am I supposed to accept that?  “Oh, we’re busy.”  Well, I don’t think it’s too much to ask to have enough staff to cover demand.  The way I see it, their view is that new customers are more important than retaining existing customers.  That’s bad for business.   Secondly, this was after xfinity/Comcast tells me they will call me to finish setting-up the transfer for the date requested.  They did not call.  I only move the process forward by calling back several days later.  The new rep is not even able to acknowledge that my move request was a call back.  I’m quickly told that I can self-install that can work for me but later in the call I find out that no, really they have to send out a tech…but no tech is available for 20 days.  So the program is neither seamless nor easy. Oh, it gets worse.  I’m told, let’s just put in the transfer and you can call the local office to see if they may have cancelations.  I don‘t like the idea but agree.  The next day, I call the number given to me and I get a general Comcast message saying the number does not work.  You must be kidding me.  I ask Google to be sure I didn’t transpose the digit.  Sure enough, I dialed the right number and it doesn’t work.  Come on. There are many other internet and TV options out there competing with xfinity/Comcast.  After 15 min of quick research, I decide to cancel my service.  I call to cancel.  Retention says, “We’re busy.  The next available transfer/install date is the same 20 days later than my move date.”  Well, that wraps it up.  My business is not important to them.  It is not hard to find a new partner.  So in a nutshell, xfinity needs to say that the move program works if you give 3-6 months’ notice of a move.  Maybe then they’ll be able to find a tech to assist because you likely won’t be able to self-install anyway.  Oh yeah, for the longtime customers, xfinity appreciates your loyalty, but their loyalty?…draw your own conclusion.  xfinity, you have to do better. 

    I did create 100x100px rectangle at 0x0px. Then I exported that to tiff with anti aliasing on (composition, or whatever it's called in English. Unfortunately changing language in Illustrator is not that easy. Anyway not text anti aliasing).
    Problem still exists.

    So I believe what you suggested is not an issue.

    Just to make sure I did export it with text anti aliasing on as well. Effect is the same. I used following export settings:

    I was told nothing changed and my package and promo was set up at my new location by the movers edge people but not the case here. I even confirmed with the movers edge guy what I wanted since my last move was a disaster. I said i have my HD Preferred Plus XF same price no changes expect I'll save since I don't need as many boxes and I was told "yes!"
    I now have the Starter Triple play for 79.99 until 7/2016 then its $99.99 (but yet I was told the 79.99 was for two years)
    with a fee for Preferred Channels $17.95
    with a fee for HD Technology $9.95
    with a fee for HBO Stars $21.95 (got that free for 6 months with all my calls into get this fixed)
    my blast internet will be $12 next year too
    with boxes and free HBO for 6 months its $138.00 (all prices are before taxes) but after 6 months when the movie channels I HAD with my old package aren't free that $160. And add in the blast going to $12 next year and the package going up $20 thats a huge rate for next year.
    This is not anything close to what I had price wise and I've called in several times and they tell me I can't keep my promo since I moved. BUT I took this promo with my last time I move back in 7/2013 after 5 days of calls some lady named Kamina (not sure of the spelling) FINALLY got into my account and found my promo and got a supervisor to give me what I had. Please tell me you can help me! I was told an email was being sent to review my account and someone would get back to me in 5 days. I cant wait that long. I know someone can give make this happen - all I want is what I had why am I being punished for moving.

  • Mask position and edge issues

    I'm encountering a couple of problems with masks in my AE project.  I've had no luck finding any similar problems documented anywhere on the internet.
    I have footage of a man exiting a room through a door, where the room beyond the door needs to be replaced.  I did a basic rotoscope using several masks.  I put a blue solid behind the video layer to help show the issues.
    The first problem is that one of the mask's edges is off.  The mask will not go all the way to the edge of the mask line on one corner.
    The second issue is the mask is completely offset on one frame.
    I can manually move the masks to compensate for this issue, but their borders don't represent what they should be masking.  I'm hoping I may have overlooked something simple.

    Odd zoom, motion blur, framerate mismatch between footage and comp, pixel aspect ratio issues. Either or any combination of those. You have not provided enough info to make any sense beyond that.

  • Galaxy S6 Edge - issues

    I got my Samsung Edge on 22 June 2105 and am now having the same issue with this that I had with my previous two handsets (both on O2 as well), they were an I-phone 5 and a Nokia Lumia 925. The issue is that sometimes when someone tries to call me, the phone just doesn't ring, register there's an incoming call or anything - the only time I know when someone has called is if they text me or a voicemail suddenly pops up. My husband actually called me on my landline and then dialled my mobile number but nothing!  We got all the static noises you get when a phone is near a pc/tv but phone was dormant. I've read the forums about there being a network issue but it seems to be a fairly recent issue (say about 2 - 3 years).  When I contacted O2 they told me my original SIM card was faulty (despite it being less than a week old) and sent me a new one - and yet it still happens.   The O2 Guru I have just spoken to told me to re-set my voicemail.  Someone told my husband that it is because I leave my handset connected to the internet (although not Wi-fi all the time)... Surely a brand new handset should be able to cope with having an internet connection open and still allow calls in - the calls don't get through whether I'm using the phone or not - most times it is just sitting on my table/desk and not in physical use at all. Can anyone either point me in the direction of a setting on my phone that I need to change so that calls come through whether the 'net is on or not - or help in any other way? Thanks

    It is purely down to network connection.
    Not phone or sim related so nothing you can do to influence it.

  • 'Refine edge' issue

    I'm running MAC OS X (10.6.8), PS CS5 extended (12.0.4 x64) and LR3 (3.6). I've opened a DNG file in LR and then opted to edit it as smart object in PS. I've then used the quick selection tool to select an area in the photo. When I then attempt to 'Refine Edge', I get a circle with a diagonal line indicating that the action is locked out.
    I can make changes using an adjustment layer (but not to selection).
    Help will be much appreciated.

  • EDGE issues

    I own an iPhone 3G and would like to know how can I possibly deactivate the EDGE and keep being able to call, send and receive sms and use the Wi-Fi.
    I live in Italy and work in Switzerland (I live on the border), and every kilobyte my phone downloads while I'm abroad costs me money.
    I have turned off the 3G but my mobile sends data via EDGE, and I also can't use the airplane mode because I need to use my phone.
    What can I do?

    Settings > General > Network and set Data Roaming to OFF. Then, your iPhone should not download any data from networks other than your preferred carrier. There's no way to shut off EDGE (both voice and data are carried on the 3G/EDGE networks).

  • Adobe Edge/ Muse issues

    I have made a button in adobe edge and my actions for it is to click to go to my website which is one page. The idea is that this button would act as an enter page to my web site. So it edge i have it set to go to www.thewebsite.com/home.html. Because the button page would be /index.html.  But when i bring into adobe muse it does not want to open the /home.html. it wants to stay at /index.html. so i am getting weird effects i can see only on part of my website when i click and parts of the index page with my button. Can anyone help? not sure if its a muse issue or edge issue i am having?

    May I refer you to this issue I posted in the Muse forum. The post was marked as answered and consequently is receiving no attention. There is an issue when working with Muse and Edge, and by the way, Photoshop. The application used after Edge always crashes.

    After further investigation with your animate files, it appears that they appear as expected when you view them in the browsers. I tried Firefox, Chrome, and IE 11. The poster image does still look distorted in Muse's Design view. Have you seen what the poster image is when you export the OAM file? You can try clicking the camera button again to take another photo, and then publish the OAM. That may help create a more accurate image of what is being shown.
    That's interesting that if you use Edge then Photoshop you also crash Photoshop. Have you tried asking the Edge team about this problem? It sounds like it may be also an Edge issue. I'll keep trying to investigate why Muse is crashing, but as of now I'm still unable to reproduce this with my Windows 7 machine. Does this crash happen every time you switch from Edge to Muse/Photoshop or intermittently?

  • Open document issue using Xcelsius WIH 00013

    All,
    I have Open Document that behaves correctly when I copy and paste it into address bar of a browser. It also works fine when I try to connect from one Webi report to another (so far so good). But when I use the link in Xcelsius, via a URL component, I get the following message:
    Invalid Session: Please close your browser and logon again. (WIH 00013)
    Previous posts on forumtopics.com suggests that this is a Tomcat time out issue. However, other open document calls from other Xcelsius dashboards with open document work without issue. Has anyone seen this before? I have included the hyperlink text. Please note long prompt text is courtesy of a BEx query in BW .

    The same settings in the infoviewapp web.xml must be applied on the opendocument web.xml. Also you must be on XI 3.1 FP1 or higher. There is currently an Edge issue being investigated.

  • Lync A/V not working via Edge except for Federation

    I have an interesting problem.
    Internal users can do audio/video/screen sharing just fine from the internal network.
    I can do A/V and screen sharing with my federated contacts just fine from my internal network.
    When I use Lync on an external network (from home, public wifi, or even 4G), I can see presence, IM back and forth with no issues, but I can not do Audio/Video or screen sharing. I can do the whiteboard/Q&A/etc. It connects the call but I don't see or
    hear the other internal participant, and then it disconnects after exactly 10 seconds.
    The 2013 Lync Mobile app has the same issue - I can IM, but cant use audio or video.
    Does anyone know where I should start? I currently have a mixed topology with Lync 2010 and 2013 front-end servers, and a Single consolidated 2010 Edge server, with 3 external IP's addresses NAT'd to 3 public addresses. I remember that this used to work,
    but since it is not a heavily used feature, I don't know when it stopped working. It may have stopped when I installed the 2013 FE servers but i'm not positive.

     You can verify my earlier statement by looking at your ICE candidate list when your AV fails... 
     Look in snooper at the log, and search for 'candidate'... you should see a list of at least 6 entries similar to this:

     missing typ relay or typ srflx raddr means you're not successfully talking to your edge, and getting ports allocated, which is my suspicion. The best troubleshooting step from there is a network capture to verify whether you are getting responses
    to your TURN requests. I can't comment on the connectivity test website, as I haven't used it, but I have spent a lot of time troubleshooting edge issues in multiple environments...

  • Unexplained white edge on eps when placing into Illustrator (CS6)

    I'm manually stepping CS3 or CS6 generated eps files inside a master Illustrator file.  The EPS looks perfect when I make it, i.e. no white edge. Also when I close and reopen the EPS then view it- no white edge. As soon as I drag or file/place the eps file into an Illustrator file, the white edge appears.  This happens in CS3 or CS6. This white edge actually prints "as is".  Can't get rid of it.  See screen shot.

    I tried placing ai files into my master imposition files this morning and all went very well.  Thank you again enlightening me on importing files.
    There is one file that I'm still having problems with, even using the ai import. This is the file that generated my eps white edge issue.
    When I bring the masked ai file into the imposition file I get about a 1/8" white area on the left and right sides.  And I noticed the file width changed from 8.75" to 8.8+.  So somewhere during the placing of the file a .25" edge is being aded to my incoming ai file.  I've checked my preferences and such and do not see where I could be adding white to the sides of my placed file. My masked file seems to be exact at 8.75".
    Also, I tried importing other masked ai files and all did well--- no white edges. I then created a new imposition file and the white lines appeared again on the masked ai file when I placed it.
    Now I think there's a problem with the original art file itself.  If you could offer any help, I'd greatly appreciate it as it would help me in the future if (when) this issues arises again.

  • 74161 RCO ENT cascade issue in multisim

    Hi all,
    I am building a simulation of an old 70s design based on 74161s and I have had a lot of trouble getting a set of counters to operate according to my expectations.
    In my search for understanding more I discovered a recent document that had identified an error in the 74161 multisim model related to the counter executing on falling edge of clock, should be rising edge . Unfortunately it did not solve my headache.
    Essentially I have three 74161s in cascade - the RCO for the first counter nicely carries over via ENT to trigger the second counter (ENP is high). But, when the second counter's RCO carries over to the third counters ENT it stays high for a long period of time (the duration of the QA) and sets off the third counter to "race at clock speed" similar to the first counter. When I do the same thing but instead carry over to ENP (having ENT high all the time) the counters work as expected.
    The old schematics I use as a base, as well as some cascade counter reading I have come across indicates RCO should connect with ENT and not ENP – then again reading the 74161 datasheet it states that RCO stays high during the duration of QA.
    Question to the forum: is the model for 74161 in multsim even more incorrect than the clock edge issue or is my “three cascaded counter” design incorrect? Please find attached the multisim model.

    Please find attached a zip file with the requested information and with updated examples files
    * One case where RCO from counter is connected to ENP and one case where RCO from counter is connected to ENT. When connected to ENT (as it appears to be done in the orignal schematics p21, B4 to E4) the third counter starts to race at clock speed when RCO set ENT high (as can be seen in the attached simulation screen shot). This is not the case when connecting to ENP. Something wrong with the 74161 model?

They should form a simple 16 bit binary counter that keeps incrementing until all of the output bits for E4 are all zeros and then it loads all the counters with preset value. In the schematics the rco is connected to ENT.
    * My test cases (rco to enp and rco to ent) just simulates the circuits B4 to D4 - because it is at D4 where the issue occurs first in the chain (it also occurs at E4 - but not need to simulate; it is the same isse)
    Any insight is highly appreciated.

  • Issues with Motion in Using Compressor for a PAL DVD

    I am new to DVD Studio Pro and Compressor and am trying to create a DVD of a 50 minute PAL project that I made using FCP. I have found a couple tutorials on how to export my project using compressor to be compatible with DSP via pre sets (DVD: Best Quality 4:3) and actually manipulating the controls myself. I have found in using both techniques that during any scene with motion, the edges of the moving actor become blurred and grainy. The tutorials that I checked out I assume (since they were from the US) were for NTSC projects, is there any other considerations that I should make in compressing a PAL project, which might contribute to this graininess? Any ideas?
    Any help would be much appreciated. I have included my settings from Compressor below.

    The general concepts are the same in terms of maintaining quality throughout the work process in terms of Codecs, exports etc.
    As to the motion areas, compression markers in FCP can help in problem areas. What you should do is grab some of the problems sections and drop markers in there and encode them. Some of the frame controls can help, depending on source footage. What was the original material and cpautred/edited? Sometimes things in there can also give quality hits.
    Lastly some things (like real black outfits on light backgrounds) can cause some edging issues which can take some work to clean up as much as possible...
