Multi-Conference with CUCM

Hi Netpro's,
My problem is this, I have a CUCM 7 and I want to make a multi-conference to some extensions. For example, I make a call to a number 1000 and I want that it make a call to the conference participants that previously I defined in "some" place automatically.
How can I do this? I know that I can make conferences with a meet-me so the extensions could add to the conference making a call to the meet-me number, but I want that I call to a number(example 1000) and that this number 1000 try to call to the others participants automatically without them having to call the number for the conference.
Do I need another plataform to accomplish that feature?
Thanks

This is not possible within UCM. You could script this with CUAE or possibly with the "call me at" feature within MeetingPlace.

  • No ringbacktone for inbound calls with cucm 8.6

    Hi,
we have this problem from many days...
we have two branches with cucm cluster(Publisher and Subscriber) at Head office and cisco untiy. The branches are connected to Head office through MPLS vpn and all the ip phones are registred to publisher located at headoffice.
    our setup is like below
HO and BR2 having SIP lines and BR1 has PSTN Lines.
we implement greetings for head office and 2 branches at Headoffice Unity.
when any call comes to headoffice gateway the greetings will be played and call will be diverted to the appropriate extension.everything is fine.
But the problem is when the call comes to Branch gateway and the greetings will be played and the call gets diverted to the IP phone to which the caller dialed the extension. but the caller is not hearing the ringback tone while the extension is ringing. and the caller cannot know whether the extension is ringing or the call got disconnected.
i tried to change the " Send h225 User Information Message"  in service parameters from "Use ANN for Ring Back" to H225 Info for call Progress Tone"
whenever i am changing to  "H225 Info for call Progress Tone" then the branches problem getting solved but Headoffice getting the same problem.
    please can anyone help............................

  • Video Conference with a Windows PC

I have an iMac G5 with a separate iSight camera and my daughter has an iBook G4 with separate iSight camera. My son has a Windows PC with the following: Intel Extreme edition qx6700 quad core processor, 2 GB of ram and a BFG 8800 GTX video card. He is running a dual boot system with XP SP2/Vista. His camera is a MS Lifecam VX-3000. All of his drivers are up to date and he is using AIM with Trillian to communicate with his sister and me.
Our problem is that I can video conference with my daughter and a third person and my daughter can video conference with me and a third person, but my daughter and I can not video conference with my son. We can each individually iChat with my son, but video conferencing is not possible with him. Both my daughter and I have multiple iChat camera icons for each other when we launch iChat, but my son shows up with one iChat camera icon when he is online.
Is there something that can be done on his PC hardware or software wise where we can video conference with him? Or is this a problem with all PCs? Any help in figuring this out would be much appreciated! Thanks for your help.

Your son has a single camera icon because he is unable to participate in multi-way chats (macs only).
Get your son to check his windowa firewall and other settings:
    http://www.mvldesign.com/videoconferencetutorial.html
If that doesn't solve your problem, consider Skype instead. In my experience, Skype is a better bet for Mac-PC videochats.
Both sides will need to download the appropriate version of Skype:

  • Paging and Notification Features included with CUCM 9.1!

At last we have paging functionality using our own IP Phones on our UC systems. Starting with CUCM 9.1, Cisco has entered into an OEM agreement with longime developer partner Singlewire to include their well known InformaCast product with every CUCM install. All orders of CUCM will come with the Cisco Paging Server software DVD which has the InformaCast product and documentation on it. The DVD has an ISO file with OVA for installing in a virtual environment plus all documentation. You can quickly see how when running UC on UCS or a Business Edition 6000, you can create bundled packages of specific UC apps (1 VM per app) on a single server that is a perfect fit for specific verticals. This is going to be extremely helpful when targetting K-12 applications as well as hospitality, manufacturing, transportation and higher ed opportunities.
The way it works is that basic paging features are now free with every CUCM product. Basic paging consists of the ability to send point-to-point or group live audio pages to/from Cisco IP Phones. There are an unlimited number of groups/zones to be configured and a maximum of 50 users per paging group. So all users of a system can participate in a variety of paging groups but without upgrading to advanced, 50 users at a time is available. Paging across sites is also supported with a properly configured multicast WAN network.
But we aren't just providing the basic functionality with UCM, all advanced features from InformaCast will also be delivered and optional. Since these features are new to many customers, there is a 60 day trial of the advanced features to show customers what they have available to them and to determine if it is a good fit in their environment. Many applications require the high level functionality like that listed below, and the ability to claim these as being available with every UCM order as a single vendor solution is extremely powerful. No other competitor will have a UC product shipping with all of the advanced emergency notification and security awareness features like Cisco UC now has.
The advanced features are what will be a great sales conversation starter to set your Cisco UC system apart from the rest. Included with this are features like:
    Pre-recorded/scheduled broadcasts (school bells/shift changes)
    Notification to Jabber IM
    Notification to Social Media
Communication with mobile and remote users
Triggered notification to/from other systems- M2M input/output (panic buttons, door locks, lights, etc.)
Integration to existing overhead paging systems
Text and Audio to Cisco IP Phones and other endpoints
    Broadcasts to IP Speakers
    911/emergency call monitoring/alerting/recording
    Weather Alerting with CAP
    Dynamically-triggered emergency conference calls
    And more..
When trying to close a new UC deal, leveraging Cisco’s new paging and notification features can change the sales conversation to something that no one can match for a standard shipping, on-box solution. We can set the new standard that for all applications, mass awareness and security notification features are required with any UC solution. We will be able to respond to RFP’s where no other manufacturer can meet the single vendor/product requirement for voice and emergency notification together.
Many customers will be satisfied with paging through Cisco IP Phones but those looking for higher level security and awareness features, advanced notification is highly recommended. Those licenses can be obtained in 2 ways:
*Perpetual licenses from SolutionsPlus on Global Price List (SP-INFORMCST-2500=, SP-INFORMACST-1K=,SP-INFORMACST-250=)
*Annual Subscription liceses directly from Singlewire- [email protected]. Quoting Tool: http://www.singlewire.com/quote_gen/quote_form.php
For more info: [email protected] and http://www.singlewire.com/ic-learn.html

Great article, there is now a new range of cyberdata singlewire informacast enabled IP Intercoms. I found some here through this UK supplier. www.ipagingsystems.co.uk The Intercoms double as a paging ip speaker that accept SIP and Multicast.

  • Cisco TS 320 integration with CUCM

    Dear Expert,
Is there any way we can integrate the TS 320 with CUCM without any conductor.
Means by SIP trunk or as Conference bridge.
    BR

I have TS on Media 320, so its means we can not use it as locally managed.
The TelePresence Server on Media 310/320 and Cisco TelePresence Server on Virtual Machine do not support locally managed mode; on these platforms, the
TelePresence Server must be managed by a system like Cisco TelePresence Conductor or Cisco TelePresence Exchange System.

  • Jabber 9.6 no voicemail tab for CUC with CUCM 9 and CUC 8.6

    Hi guys,
    I have Jabber 9.2 and 9.6 clients with CUCM 9.1.2, CUC 8.5.1 and Cisco IM + P 9.1.1.
We've recently updated the CUCM and CUPS to Cisco IM+P.  Also we have migrated from CUPC Clients to Jabber clients.  The CUC server has remained as is.  I was able to get the CUPC clients to get voicemail/visual voicemail but the Jabber client doesn't even display an ico for voicemail.
The service profile for all users is set correctly to point to the CUC server and there's no errors when I go to the jabber client "show connction status".
I haven't been able to find much about this issue.  I have noticed that if I set the mail store the voicemail tab appears but we are not using a mail store as the voicemail repositary.  Is this now required to check voicemail?  If so can someone point me to the configuration guide?  We have exchange 2012.  Thanks very much!
    -Akin

    Hi every body,
I  have some problems but not with all the users, is only working with 3  users and the rest of them don't work, I attached the errors that I get  when I try to log in Telephony Accounts in the Jabber, I used the Jabber  of one User, and from here I introduce my credentials (user and  password) and I can get the voice mails (only from de 3 users that is  woriking fine), but when I introduce the credentials of the other user I  get the error and Can't get the voicemails.
The 127.23.0.7 is the IP address of the Cisco Unity Connection.
Please Help Me I'm stuck with this!

  • Multi threadin with VC++

    Multi threadin with VC++
I have some problems with multi threading using the provider OraOLEDB.
When I try to execute a CreateCommand for a CCommand<CManualAccessor> in a secondary thread I have a failure inside OraOLEDB.dll.
There is no problem if I use the provider MSDAORA.
I found a property for the OLE DB provider named DBPROP_DSOTHREADMODEL and must be DBPROPVAL_RT_FREETHREAD,
    is the provider OraOLEDB FREETHREAD?
    Thanks for helping me.

    Do I have this right?
You want to start a Java application from the commandline, and this application creates multiple threads.
Each thread executes methods from the ProcessBuilder or Runtime classes, which opens a terminal (cmd) window, starts an external (non-Java) .exe program. The exe writes to the cmd window.
If that's correct, then you need to learn how to create a threaded program, and to use Either the ProcessBuilder or Runtime class.
Here's a how-to on creating threaded (concurrent) Java programs
    http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/essential/concurrency/index.html
and here's an article on correct use of the Runtime class

  • Cisco Jabber for Mac 9.2.1: slow to register with CUCM

    Hi,
We have this specific problem on our Jabber for Mac 9.2.1 client only: the client takes 60 to 70 seconds to connect to CUCM (running 8.6.2) when it starts.
After Jabber registers with CUCM, there is no issue, it's just very slow to register.
Anybody getting the same behaviour? We have no such issue on previous versions of Jabber for Mac version 8 or Jabber for Windows version 9.
    Thanks,
    Fabrice

For those interested, I have the answer to my own question: if one of your configured DNS servers is not responding, Jabber 9.2.1 will delay registration to the phone services. This behaviour is seen only in this specifc version of Jabber, hopefully it will be fixed in the next release. Watch out if one of your DNS server goes offilne.

  • Error message when syncing CUACEE 9.0.1.2 with CUCM 9.1.1

    Hi all,
When I set up the CTI template, I chose owner userid as "none" but then when syncing the AC, I get the message on the sync report for every device of "Error -206 The specified table (owneruserid) is not in the database."
If I set the template to use a specific owner userid and resync, then it works correctly, but I don't want these CTI ports associated with a userid.
Is there any reason why this would be happening, as I have been able to do it in the past with "none" on 8.6

    Sean,
Yes, this is a known defect:  CSCue69477 - CTI Route Port Synch Issue with CUCM.  As per the bug:
"This issue will occur if the "SUBSCRIBE Calling Search Space" under Protocol Specific Information in the Template for the CTI Route Ports is configured. To work around this, the "Owner User ID" under Device Information for the Template needs to be configured."
    Regards,
    Jason

The documentation related to 8.6 may lag behind for a bit.  However, if you are running or update to the latest TSP (8.4.3) on your Unity server then you're likely covered.  The version of TSP is really the only compatibility factor as far as Unity/CUCM is concerned.

  • CUCI-Lync 9.2 with CUCM 8.6 - Cisco Unity Connection Visual Voicemail Not Working

    Hi
I have CUCM and CUC 8.6.2 running and MOC with CUCI-Lync 8.5 (with visual Voicemail) running OK with full registry configuration (see below). We are moving to Lync 2013 and want to use CUCI-Lync 9.2.
A basic install of CUCI-Lync 9.2 works fine with CUCM (with manual setup of TFTP, CCMIP and CTI) but not with CUC. I can only call the VM Pilot but I don't get my visual voicemail.  In the CUCI-Lync  parameters I type in my CUC server IP adress and credentials but get a message saying that it can't connect.
As the config guide describes a config with CUCM 9 (with UC services) which I don't have in V8.6.  I've tried using the old registry configuration or no registry configuration at all, I can't get CUCI-Lync to connect to CUC...
Has anyone done this ? Any suggestions ?

The UC Services are a CUCM 9.0 feature. In 8.x these existed within CUPS under Applications > CUPC/Jabber > CTI Gateway and Profile. Other things that frequently cause this to break: 1) deskphone not associated to your end user object; 2) primary extension not set; 3) standard cti enabled and standard ccm end users group membership missing; 4) the IP/FQDN of the CTI Gateway is not a CUCM node running CTI Manager.

  • Multi mapping with out BPM

    HI ALL ,
I am trying to do multi mapping with out using BPM .I will get message from the sender and i need to send that to two different target system. I have defined the mapping in the IR . In ID i  have created the configuration scenario and i have created the receiver determination .In receiver determination i have selected "EXTENDED" and when i select input help for mapping name it says "NO Object found". What else should i do get the mapping program here .
    Regards,
    Tarun.

    Bhavesh,
I'm sorry but if he needs 2 different receivers, then it's not the case of using Enhanced Interface Determination.
    sapuser,
if you scenario is asynchronous, then it's easily implemented.
But it won't be achieved with multimapping.
You'll have 2 receivers in receiver determination (normal RD, not enhanced). For each of those, you'll have to create a separate simple mapping (that will generate the message expected at each receiver system) and refer that mapping in the interface determination of each receiver.
For example, you have input_message containing data1 and data 2. You'll have 2 simple mappings (not a multimapping), 1 generating output_message_1 containing data1 and the other generating output_message_2 containing data2. Then refer those mappings in the proper interface determinations.
    Regards,
    Henrique.

  • How to do multi-instrument with EXS instrument in Logic Express

    Hello Logic Express Users,
I wonder if someone can help me. I can set up multi-instruments with Battery 2, and Kontakt 2, but I am battling to set up a multi-instrument when I am using the EXS with Logic Express. How do I assign the outputs to different outputs so that I can hear different instruments through different aux channels.
Or is it only possible with the EXS editor that comes with Logic Pro? Because if it is then it is weird why they make the EXS with Logic express a multi-instrument.
Thanks in advance for any help.

If you want to save an instrument patch together with plugins and so on, you should save it as a channel strip.
Use the channel strip menu at the top of the channel object. There is a defined directory for user channel strips, but you can create folders within it and organise your channel strip settings as you like.
These settings will show up in the channel strip menu, and the media browser too.
