Multiple 261 movements allowed over required qty in work order

Does anyone know why 2, 261 movements can be performed for the same components in a work order using MIGO? The transactions were performed within 2 seconds apart. Is it possible that SAP didnt update the work order within those 2 seconds?
I have tried to duplicate this issue and I keep getting the correct message that I cannot perform over the required qty.

It has to do with the configuration setting for the order type, verifty
confirmation parameters for the given order type (at the header level)
Under checks tab(Tcode: OPK4), it should be maintained as
"  Error when overdelivery tolerance is not checked"
If you maintain the above setting, he system would not allow you to do excess Goods Issue (mvt type 261) for the given work order
Please come back if you have further ?s

  • Withdrawal Qty exceed requirement Qty in production order

    Hi: guys
In our system, withdrawal Qty can exceed requirement Qty for a production order, even we use planned GI. That means when we use MIGO/MB1A to process GI to reference production order, we can manually change withdrawal Qty. Even this Qty has exceed requirement Qty of production order, system also not give me any message.
Anybody can tell me how to customize settings to limit this function, such as give me a message (error or warning), and ensure withdrawal Qty can not exceed requirement Qty.
    thank you.
    Henry

    Henry,
I got what excatly the problem is in your case, the guy who executed has done it very cleverly.
What must have happenned, is that in the change mode of the order, the component quantity was increased and then Issued. Latter on in the change mode of the order again the quantity was reduced.
I think this is the excat case what you are having now in the system, the only clue left out for us is to check whether the manual change was perfomed or not. In the components overview scroll to the right side of the screen till you reach column with heading "ChngeProc.", here if the field value is "1" - then it is obvious that there was a manual change in qty for the component.
The possible resolution to prevent in future is to Make the dynamic message "CN" - 752 as Error in the prodcution order change program. You need to work with your ABAP person for this.
Hope I was able to get to the right problem and possible resolution.

  • Movement type 262 when creating a work order (tx IW31)

    Hi experts!!!!!
I need to cover the following scenario:
*sometimes, when the client carries out a work, they recover one item. Ideally they want to take into consideration this item as well from a point of view of costs, which means that in order to carry our the work some items and labour will be used and it will be considered as a cost but the item recovered will be considered as less cost (profit). In customizing (plant maitenance -->Maitenance and service orders --> General data -->define movement types for material reservations) that it is possible to customize the movement type to be used in case of reservations (goods issues and cancellation of goods issues). I have checked that if I change the customizing and I put 262 instead of 261, the system behaves as desired. The thing is that this affects to all the components and this is not correct. Therefore, from the work order (IW32 or IW31) I have tried to change the movement type manually, but I found that the field movement type (at component level for items L, field RESBD-BWART) is grey and it can not be changed.
    Therefore, my question is:
*how to customize field RESBD-BWART so that I can change whenever I create or change a work order
*which is the meaning of having cancellation of goods issue in the customizing if then I only can use movement 261.
On the other hand, I have checked the functionality "refurbishment" but I doesn't fit because we have to use valuation type and this is not desired....
    Best regards

    Hi,
The materials that you are entering in the component tab are "Planned" materials that you may use during the execution of the order. In your case i don't see the necessity to enter it here, You could directly do a Return goods issue against the order using movement type 262, for that specific material. This should solve your needs.

  • Settlemnt Required For Bulk Work Orders

    Hi All,
How to create settlement rule for Bulk Work Orders?
Is there Any T-code is there
    or   using Lsmw

Settlement rule can be created during Order release or TECO. By defining Settlement Profile, Allocation Structure with Default Object, appropriate details in Equipment / Functional Location Master data, will do the trick.
Order release or TECO can be done in mass in IW38.
If you have any other settlement rule different than these settings, then you should use LSMW.

  • Stock with Special Stock indicator E, not allowing to perform 261 Movement Type

    Hi Team,
    Please provide your expert opinion.
Unintentionally, a component was set with value Blank in Individual/Coll. field in MRP 4 view. The component is WM managed, when order was released, Transfer Request was generated & the part list was updated with Account Assignment M for that component. It was showing reference of sales order created for the header material.
After TR was converted to TO, TO was also processed. Now the stock is lying in WM under Special Indicator E, due to which we are not able to perform 261 movement for this component, it throws error
Sales order stock XXXXXX 000010 does not exist
This Sales order is already processed & completed.
We are in deadlock, since process order cannot be closed.
Please suggest how to consume this component against the order or bring back the stock to normal
    Regards
    ND

Your order for which you want do a 261 movement has information that this material is in sales order xxxxxxx item 000010
now it is essential to know in the very detail what was done in sequence.
As you usually need to clear the situation in the reverse sequence.
Not just movements, as well master data changes.
If we understand the full situation, then it might even be possible to do a short cut.
But it is currently not really known if you have an inconsistency between IM and WM, or just missed some postings in WM (which has not really something to do with the error you have)
We do not know how the to be situation should be
And for the as-is we have only knowledge about the error message, but no details to previous movements which lead to this situation.
And we have no info about the current book stocks to make a clear suggestion.
Some situation require detailed analysis, a proposal made just out of the blue can cause an even more difficult situation and a longer way to clean it up.

  • WIP over-completion increased component requirement qty

    Hi all,
In normal situation, produce 1 product just 1 component. So that we create a discrete job in ebs to produce 1000 pcs of product and the component requirement qty is 1000 pcs.
However, in some cases, factory can produce more products based on this components.
To record the actual completion, we use 'Over-completion' and input 1011 pcs of product to complete.
The ebs system automatically change the component required qty = 1011 pcs. It makes factory seems need to procurement 11 pcs more to complete the production. (it also affect the MRP planning).
Please kindly advise how to fix it.
    Best regards,
    Laurie

    Hi,
As mention "WIP over-completion increased component requirement qty" - yes, this is seeded functionality.
In Oracle, WIP Over completion qty is nothing but extra produced qty as per WIP job Qty. (ex. Job qty=10, total produced qty=12, i.e. 2 is over-completion qty)
Please explain expected requirement with example so that will figure out possible ways.
    Thanks

  • Stock is shown as outstanding although 261 movement type has been performed

    Hi all,
I was doing 261 movement type against production order without passing reservation number but the client said that if we do not pass reservation number stock is shown as outstanding against reservation leading to inaccurate results on MRP run etc....But this is not clear to me... Can anyone tell me that if I post 2 good issues one without passing reservation number and another passing reservation number how can I test the difference betwen two scenarios like what do I need to check after I pass the reservation number.. I did as client said but dont know why and what difference do I see in SAP..Any thing which I need to check in MMBE after passing the reservation or any other transcation...
    Please help me.....

    Hi Uday,
This statement was clear but passing reservation has impact on reserved stock..I myself checked programitically ie I am calling BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE for doing 261 . I had 2 components for my production order..For 1 item I passed reservation number and for 2nd item I did not pass reservation in 2nd item..Then I checked the stocks in MMBE.. In both cases unrestricted stock is getting reduced but the reserved stock is getting reduced only in 1st case and not in 2nd case.
My issue is for my  order type and plant all components is checked in OPK4..So I need to do 261 all components (backflush and non-backflush) ...Earlier I was replicating CO11N  programitically and I was able to pass goods movement data along with confirmation creation passing reservation number. My requirement was fulfilled but then suddenly we found that in 1 case this approach was failing and that was If i was doing 261 for a serialized component it gives me message 'Serial no obligatory materail cannot b updated' and in my case serialized components will be there..
For  the above problem we are now doing 261 replicationg MIGO_GI and not CO11N where we can pass serial number also and reservation also .. But the problem with this approach is that we are not able to pass reservation number for backflushed items..If we pass reservation  no for backflush items I am getting the error 'For reservation xxx item xxx, goodsmvt not possible'..Not clear why SAP has some type of limitation in both the approaches..
Where in I can d 261 for all components ( serialized or non serialized ) and also pass reservation number for both backflush and non backflush items..Can you suggest me an approach by which I can meet the desired functionality..
It would be great if you can suggest some thing...As you have knowledge about the whole process you can surely help me by at least saying that if I do not pass reservation then how can I reduce the reserved stock by the 2nd approach or by saying that why SAP does not allow 261 from CO11N for serialized component...

  • Not allowing users to change qty in PM order after release

    Hi
I am using the user exit  IW010009(customer check for save event - ZXWOCU07 to control the permit functionality against the plan cost in the PM order, which is functioning well. But I have a requirement to check , the below scenario.
In IW31, the user creates the order with component “A” and qty 10 having value more than the permit value (say Rs.5000/,) and if he tries to release the order, the system does not allow the user to release the order. The user goes and changes the qty of the component “A” to 3 and the value is less than Rs 5000. The user successfully releases the order, but doesn’t save. He then goes to the component tab and changes the qty to 10 and save the order.
I need some help to control the user action, of changing the qty, after release. Is there any table/function where I can find the order no and the qty entered after release of the PM order and  before saving.
I have done some coding for WBS entry (customization) and the permit in the user exit IW010009.

  • No mov. allowed in reservation

    Dear SAP gurus,
We have a scenario of Sloc MRP in my compnay. For instance, Plant 1000 have 2 sloc: 0001 and 0002. Plant 0002 will have a re-order point of 10, in which in case our stock level in 1000-0002 is below 10, when we run the MRP, transfer reservation to 1000-0002 will be created.
However we this transfer reservation would need to have some kind of approver. We intend to simulate this approval, by making the mov.allowed unticked by default at the time of reservation creation by MRP, and then will give access to the approver to mass-change this to ticked when he is alright with the transfer.
We have set in OMBN that the default value for reservatin in plant 1000 should be unticked and the days before the mov.type ticked automtaically is 999. However it seems that whenever we run MRP and the reservation is created, the indicator is always ticked.
Is there any other way to make sure that the indicator is unticked as default??
    Best regards,
    John

    Hello sap_2605,
    As I understand:
    OMBN
    1. 'Mvt' field is empty ('No') for your plant.
    2. 'Days m' field is set to 0 (day).
In this case the thickbox should be empty and only during mass change you could set it to 'allowed' as per your requirement.

  • Movement allowed in Reservation not tick after cancellation

    Hi there,
We have a material reservation automatically created in our service module. We posted a goods issue in these materials (2 materials) 261 based in reservation and it was successful.
    ##result
    Material document line item 1
    Material document line item 2
However, one of the items needs to be return to stock as it was not needed anymore, hence we do the cancellation of the earlier material document as per normal cancellation.
But I realized, after the cancellation, the result was the first material was successfully cancelled but the 2nd line was not. It created another manual 262 which was not referred to the reservation. So the earlier 261 for reservation line item 2 was not cancelled at all.
When I further checked, the movement allowed box for the reservation line item 2 was not there and completely gone, which was a bit weird because earlier during goods issue we were allowed to post into it.
Now I am trying to activate again the movement allowed box but I cannot edit the reservation itself via MB22 because the reservation was not created manually, it was created auto from service order.
Anyway I can proceed in cancelling the 2nd line based from reservation? Any program or way to activate the movement allowed box in the reservation?
    Thank you in advance.
    Regards,

Do you two material document or both line items was in same material document?
Why you want to cancel both line items as you want only one line item to be cancelled?
Which Transaction You used for cancellation?
If your are using MBST transaction it tick the line item tick mark automatically as per std.
Check if you might have Un-tick while posting by mistake.
Reservation created through any other trns like service  order, PM or PS cannot be changed through MB22.
Rather it can changed by source element.

  • Confirmation-Why system will not take 261 movement

    Dear Gurus,
When I am doing confirmation(co11n) in Goods movement screen-take example I issued the Goods 10 kg for first material & 20 kg for 2nd material. In confirmation My point is to do for 1st material 7 kg out of 8 kg & for 2nd material 22 kg out of 20 kg.
How can I have to do this process & after that in mb51 t code for the same material it will have to show that 262 movement occur.
    Thanks
    Alok

    Hi Alok Kumar,
Well here one important thing is at what time you are observing the 261 type.
We can use 261 movement type for Issuing the goods for Manufacturing the Finish Product (FG). It can be done at the time of procuring the material from the vendor for that to get into storage location we will use 261 movement type.
At the time of conversion of planned order to production order
At the time of Order conformation.  Go to goods movement type as well OK.
Then if you want to issue the goods as per your requirement you can go and change the quantity but the thing is if the manufacturing quantity is 100 kg you have to issue the material that to mfg the 100 quantity OK.
The main purpose of 261 movement type is:
    A) When you are receiving or procuring the material from out side we have to use 261 mvnt type to get the material to our storage location. (MI GO)
    B) When you are manufacturing a product for that product the required materials should be issued through MB1A with 261.
Any questions please pop me again.

  • Production order reference 261 and 261 movements

    Dear Gurus,
We have a situation, as per our client requirement we are building a customized Z-report which is production order information report as per the clients business process:
In a production order consumption of HALB material will be done with no. of batches so at this point of time when ever confirmation is done then there will be a document will be generated to 261 movement type.
At the same time user got to know that the posted batches are wrong so again he cancelled it with movement type 262 will be appeared.
In our report, business logic was given as, the cancelled batches should not be appeared in report so we go through with the logic order number---> reference to movement types with 261 & 262  and with same batches.
My doubt is while 261 movement type one document number is generating and if they are going to cancel 262 movement type it is generating different document number.
As I observed if they are cancelling it through MIGO it is generating some other document number and for some cases it is generating reference documents but not for some.
I would like to know the reason for this and configuration as well.
Any one can give me the complete analysis on this please asap.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Madhu.G

    Hi,
This is based on my understanding of your issue.
There is difference in cancelling material document and reversing material document.
If say, 101 is posted and inspection lot is created and for some reason this is cancelled( by 102).
In case we again cancel 102 , then system will post 101 but inspection lot will not be generated because it's not standard posting and there will be delink in 101 & 102.
So to make your report robust, include logic to capture both cancelled and reverse document.
And also educate users to follow a standard sequence of steps .

  • SAP PP 261 movement open stock

    HI experts,
we are into food industry, first we create process order through cor1, den create reservation though mb21 then migo (transfer posting) and den confirm the process order.
there are couple of items are still showing that its pending qty in 261 movement but not in 311 movement coz migo(transfer posting is allready done) but in confirmation , we have skip those item due to non-avaibility of stock.
now the problem is we have done mass process order and status shows TECO this activity should done every end of the month. now how do I clear this items which is still showing that its pending in 261movement ...
pls advice. and if the costing is done then wat are the other way to clear those items which is available on 261movement type , we chek this through mb25.
    waiting for your earliest reply,
    Regards,
    Minesh Soneji

    Minesh,
I think it will be a bit late if you waiting until month end then only found out those missing item. I suggest you to inform your production planner or PIC which do the confirmation to check report tcode COGI on a daily basis as every missing good movement during confirmation will be capturing there.
You can try to run COGI in your production server and you will see those 261 problem item is all capturing there.
Hope my solution can help you.

  • Mrp requirement qty including safety stock

I have tested and got results as follows with VB/EX:
    RO Point = 10 ea
    Safety stock = 5 ea
    Stock = 5 ea
But the mrp element generated for 5 ea only.
I need to get requirment qty considering the safety stock also.
HOW TO INCLUDE SAFETY STOCK IN REQUIREMENT QTY?
    warm regards
    marias

    Hi,
the safety stock is relevant when you are carrying out goods issues.
the system will stop you from placing orders against the safety stock (because you don't want to sell this you want to keep it for emergencies) and yet it will allow you to goods issue to a delivery from safety stock (because that is why it is there, to ensure that you have spare items in case of shortages).
You control what can and can't issue safety stock by using different configurations for the availability checks for each function..
So even though the reorder point MRP seems to ignore safety stock it still warns you when you fall below this (with an exception message) and it is still used for goods issues and transfers etc.
