Multiple gateway & split gateway

Simple question.
Is the multiple gateway used when the same copies must be passed to different users in the same time. And each user cannot view the copy or result modified by other users.
Is the split gateway used when same copies will be sent to different branches. Users in the same role can view the copy?
Oracle BPM 10.3 Help Studio Reference does not give very detail information

Hi Ye,
Yes that's one scenario.
A Multiple activity (called "Split-N" in releases before Oracle BPM 10g) is used in three scenarios:
(1) Voting design pattern - It's fairly common to want to form a committee at runtime of participants. The size of the committee can be a decision made at runtime. A copy of the work item instance is assigned to each of the people on the committee. Each participant has a "vote", but cannot act on the other committee member's work item instances votes since the instance is assigned to each person specifically using participant.next for the copied instance.
(2) RFP design pattern - The companies responding to the proposal are assigned the instance typically as the copied instance flows into an activity that is inside a parametric role. The parametric role in this example would be based on the supplier's name so only people in that supplier's company can respond the the proposal.
(3) Changing granularity of a work item instance. Although not suggested for work item instances that can break down into hundreds of individual work items, it is a simple technique to have a single batch job (e.g. batch of claims coming in) and breaking this down into its invidual components (e.g. each individual claim would become a separate work item instance inside the Multiple / Join).
In the first two patterns above, the end user participants involved would not have access to instances in other copies spawned by the Multiple activity.
Use Multiple when you're using any of these patterns and the number of copies spawned is determined at runtime.
A Split activity on the other hand is used when you do not need to determine the number of copies spawned at runtime. There is always more than one transition coming out of a Split activity. A copy of the instance variable flows through each of the unconditional transition leaving the Split and through each of the conditional transitions that evaluate as true coming out of the Split.
Whether you decide to assign a specific copy of a work item instance coming out of either a Multiple or Split to a specific end user is based on your need inside the process. Assigning a work item instance to a specific participant can be incredibly useful, but it is an option that can be used anywhere inside a process. It is not a requirement of either the Multiple or Split activity.
Hope this helps,
Dan

  • H.323 Security: Gateway to Gateway

    Friends,
In voip setup i want to secure my h323 traffic between gateway to gateway
without using ipsec tunnel (site-to-site vpn). I study about h235 security
but that is between gateway and gatekeeper. Please suggest me any technique
    you know.
    Thanks and Regards

    Friend,
Thank you for the link. I am already using SRTP for streaming As you know CRTP does not with IPSec. Now I have the same issue my h323 session is not secure. I have 25 sites and all have gateways so according to that document, i have to configure all 25 sites for IPSec tunnel. if a user A of site 1 will call user of site2, a tunnel will be establish for a single call and then same time mores of site1 call to users of other sites, it means ipsec tunnel will be establish per call. This will not eat all my router's resources. My all sites connected with each other like partial mesh.
Please suggest me what to do in this situation.
    Regards

  • RV220W, problem with Gateway-to-Gateway and tunneling

I have created a connection gateway-to-gateway between RV220W and RVL200, is doing without any problems.
For example, I can ping the gateway on the other side. But when I connect trough RV220W QuickVPN (or PPTP) I can not reach the gateway (RVL200) or any host behind it.

  • RV016 gateway to gateway rv082 won't connect

    Dear Gurus
New hardware here, requesting a bit of your knowledge
We are tryingin to setup a simple gateway to gateway  VPN
HomeA Has an RV016 with a public static IP
Local Group Security Gateway type is IP Only with the IP
Local Security Group Type is Subnet, with the local IP class 192.160.0.0
Remote Security Gateway Type: Dynamic + Email
    Email address  [email protected]
    Remote Security Group Type: Subnet
    IP Address 192.168.1.0
IPSec Setup as default with nice password.
HomeB has an RV082 with a dynamic ADSL link
Local Group Security Gateway type is DynamicIP +Email
    Email address  [email protected]
Local Security Group Type is Subnet, with the local IP class 192.160.1.0
Remote Security Gateway Type: IP Only
    Remote Security Group Type: Subnet
    IP Address 192.168.0.0
IPSec Setup as default with nice password.
The idea is for HomeB which has a dynamic IP, to reach HomeA, which has a static IP and connect.
But they just wont. I have not clue what's wrong, I followed the instructions, maybe i miss interpreted something.
I could share the VPN logs for both., Im getting a lot of errors there.
All pointers or suggestions are appreciated.
Im pasting here a snap of the receiving end HomeA, when i press connect on HomeB

Any chance you could share your solution?  I am having the exact same problem on a tunnel between two RV082s.

  • RV042 Gateway to Gateway VPN Losing network connection

I have an branch office RV042 version 1 connected via ADSL with less that 5 workstations (Vista - Win7 - Outlook) and VOIP/SIP to our main office RV042 version 4 via Charter Cable Modem...Tunnel is Gateway to gateway. We are experience random disconnects to our Windows servers in main office through the tunnel. We have isolated it down to the VPN tunnel. Our internet connections have tested out good. Our main server is a SBS 2008. Is there any issue with the Tunnel between two RV042's on different versions...

    Hello MP:
Thanks for the reply. I did doublecheck both routers and all the netmask are 255.255.255.0. On the insides of both LAN's, I can ping devices. On the routers, I can ping each other, but not any devices inside the Remote LAN.
Most of the devices on each LAN are "digital radios" so they don't have any antivirus or firewall software. In addition to the radios, there are  2 computers on each LAN, each with the firewalls off and we disabled the AV software.
Both RV042's are running version 4.0.0.07-tm that was dated Aug 19 2010.
These were bought from the radio vendor and their tech support says the current config should work.
    Definately a head scratcher.

  • RV016 / Windos Server 2012 - Gateway to Gateway Vpn.

We have two sites and have on one site (main one) windows 2012 server as the DC on the network and it is also a gateway through which employees connect to the company network. On our other site we do not have servers set up and e had purchased RV016 hoping we could set up a continious gateway to gateway vpn connection. We had so far no luck on getting it to work, which begs the question - is it possible? Thank you.

    tekliu,
I actually found and tried this solution last night, but below is how my routing table looks on my RV042. When I do a tracert to www.google.com or whatever I can see that the traffic basically hits my router then out through the Comcast modem. If I do anything on the main office subnet 172.16.1.0 then I can see it hit both routers.
Should I maybe reset the router to default and do this from the start? As you can see below all 0.0.0.0 traffic is set to go out through the Comcast gateway 74.94.253.10.

  • RV016 Gateway to Gateway VPN Internet Traffic

I have a RV016 router in place that has numerous Gateway to Gateway VPNs connected to various sites over Comcast Cable. I would like to funnel all traffic through the RV016, but I am only seeing the tunnel traffic going between each.
I think I saw some posts eluding to the fact that since the RV016 only deals with layer 3 that this is impossible. What if I added a route to each of my workstations that router all 0.0.0.0 traffic through the RV016 router. Would this work even if it's really ugly?
What I am trying to avoid is having an open Internet connection at all of my sites. I would rather be able to control it here at the main office's RV016.
    Thanks in advance!

  • Multiple Certs on gateway?  (need to add an intermediate CA).

Has anyone successfully installed multiple certificates on the iPS gateway?
    If so, how?
There doesn't seem to be any way to do this with the tool provided. We
have a need to provide an Intermediate CA cert to support the International
    Step-Up (to allow 40 bit browsers to step-up to 128bit) - using a Verisign
    Global cert.

    Hi,
you can install multiple certificates on iPS Gateway but you can access the Gateway with only one certificate which you have mentioned in your ".nickname" file. By changing the name of the certificate in the ".nickname" file you can access the gateway with different certificates.

  • How to Configure Multiple Relays / Mail Gateways

    Platform: Sun Solaris 8
    Software: iMS 5.2
How to Configure two MX ( relay / Gateway servers) records in imta config file..? Our requiorement is to have two gateways defined ..for example "xyz.net" and "xyz.com". All emails destined to email addresses ending with ".net" should use the "xyz.net" gateway and rest of them should use the "xyz.com" gateway. and the configuration should be flexible enopugh to accomodate future additions to our gateways.
An Early Response would be appriciated.
    Thanks
    Arun Addepalli

Well, To point the outside mail servers to your gateways just put MX entries for each domain into DNS and point dns to the correct host for that domain.
To make the mail server recognize the domain just create it in the ida and put the users under that domain. The users mailhost attribute will take care of letting the gateways know where to forward the mail so it will go to the correct host.
If you need to do domain aliasing with the same users for both domains that is a bit different. Do you need to do this?

  • Urgent help needed-----Internet Gateway & VPN Gateway---???---

    Hi All,
First of all apologies as I am new to Cisco.
I have 2 sites Main site routers 1 is configured for internet having IP address 10.10.10.48. 2nd router is configured for VPN on separate data link configured with bgp protocol having ip address 10.10.10.51. My LAN computers are configured with 10.10.10.48 gateway for internet access.
DR-Site have 1 router configured for internet having IP 192.168.1.48. 2nd router is configured for VPN on separate data link configured with bgp protocol having ip address 192.168.1.52. My LAN computers are configured with 192.168.1.48 gateway for internet access.
    Problem:-
if I need to connect with VPN I need to change default gateway from both ends otherwise VPN can not access network's from both ends in this case I loose internet because gateway is not there to service internet.
    How to overcome this problem.
    Thanks

Have you thought about implementing Policy Based routing to send all Internet traffic to the Internet router, and all other traffic to your VPN router? You will then have to move your client's default gateway to the 3560 by creating a SVI. Then add the routing policy to the SVI. And you would do the same at the DR.

  • Multiple track splitting into songs?

I have a 10 track recording which needs to be split into multiple songs, is there anyway to do this as a single project?

    Jimi
so you end up with your track cut into multiple songs, then what?
if you copy these to the burn file, and burn it, will the songs appear on the cd as seperate tracks that you named them?
    or just song 1,2,3..?
I have the same situation. I wanted to export to multitrack, but it wouldent let me - MT was grayed out - not clickable.
as I recall NERO had a cd authoring program where you could import those clips we made above, then send them to the cd in that order.
is there no way to do this with soundtrack? or garageband?

    Hello ajay1komban,
First double check your configuration on both sides of the tunnel and make sure everything matches.
You then could try checking to make sure your DDNS is resolving to your WAN IP addresses.
Lastly what I have noticed for initial site to site tunnel configurations if it doesn't connect right away or after you press connect you could try a power cycle on both routers to see if the tunnel will establish itself.
    Regards,
    Thank you,

  • File to multiple IDOC split without BPM

    Hi expert,
I have a flat file to IDOC scenario. In flat file, I have thousands of rows. Each row need to create one IDOC. In IDOC, I have 3 segments(seg2 is the child of seg1, seg3 is the child of seg2). Each field in flat file will be mapped to the same name in IDOC. Here is my example structure:
    MT_Flatfile
    row--0:unbounded
    seg1a --0:1
    seg1b --0:1
    seg2a - 0:1
    seg2b - 0:1
    seg3a - 0:1
    seg3b - 0:1
    Sample_IDOC_name
    IDOC - 0:unbounded
      EDI_DC40
      seg1 - 1:1
        seg1a - 0:1
        seg1b - 0:1
        seg2 - 0:unbounded
          seg2a - 0:1
          seg2b - 0:2
          seg3 - 0:unbounded
          seg3a - 0:1
          seg3b - 0:1
I mapped row to IDOC. It did create multiple IDOCs. But each IDOC only contain seg1. Then I mapped row to seg2 and seg3 node. The first IDOC has three segments and the rest still only have seg1. And in first IDOC, the seg1 is filled correct. seg2 and seg3 have multiple records. Can anyone tell me how I do mapping without using BPM for this case to make each IDOC has one seg1, one seg2 and one seg3?
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi,
Your issue come from certainly to the fact that in source file, for at least one row, there is a segN which is missing (see occurence "0..1").
And so after that, you have a bad behavior to the target Idoc segment, due to the fact you did not manage properly the Context. In Message Mapping, use the right click to display your context, and you will see a difference of context between your source and the desired target.
the error certainly appears for a sub-segment which exist whereas its highest level is missing (in your source).

  • Multiple clips + split + delete = wrong result

Some time ago I encountered a rather weird problem in iMovie:
I imported several (3 to be exact) HD clips from my camera (each about 60 minutes long) into a single iMovie project. As I wanted to discard several parts of the last clip, I split that clip into several parts and then deleted the unwanted parts. The result however was that some piece of footage of the length I was "removing" was removed somewhere else (I can't remember where exactly but can most probably reproduce it if someone needs to know) while the unwanted part was still shown on playback.
Has anyone else experienced this problem in iMovie 6, and if so, is it solved in a later version ?

    Hi
Only times my Mac starts to behave in an occult fashion is
    • when iMovie pref file get corrupt - trash it and eventually start a new account
    • or when free space on internal boot hard disk goes low eg under 10Gb. Then my Mac
get's confused and does a lot of silly things.
    • Or when I try to do something even the program maker didn't think of. So easy to
take things for granted. Then figuring out that it wasn't the way to do it.
    Else
*Not knowing the origin to Your problem - General approach when in trouble is as follows:*
    • Free space on internal (start-up) hard disk if it is less than 10Gb should rather have 25Gb
    • Hard disk is untidy: Repair Permissions, Repair Hard disk (Apple Disc Util tool)
    • Garageband-fix. Start it and Close it. Re-try
    • Delete iMovie pref file - or rather start a new user/account - log into this and re-try
    iMovie pref file resides:
Mac Hard Disk (start-up HD)/Users/"Your account"/Library/Preferences and is named: com.apple.iMovie.plist
While iMovie is NOT RUNNING - move this file out to desk-top.
    Now restart iMovie.
    • Third party plug-ins that doesn't work OK (not relevant for iMovie’08)
    • Program miss-match: iMovie 5.0.2, up to Mac OS X.4.11 AND QuickTime 7.4.1 - is OK
    • Program miss-match: iMovie 6.0.3 or 6.0.4, Mac OS X.4.11 AND QuickTime 7.4.1 - is OK (might work under Leopard)
    • Program miss-match: iMovie’08 v. 7.0.1, Mac OS X.4.11 AND QuickTime 7.4.1 - is OK (might work under Leopard)
    • Screen must be set to Million-colors
From LKN 1935: (in this case = iMovie HD (5), I tried it all, but nothing worked.
Your answer (above) has been helpfull insofar as all the different trials led to the conclusion that
there was something wrong with my iMovie software. I therefore threw everything away and reinstalled
iMovie from the HD. After that the exportation of DV videos (there has not been any problem with HDV videos)
to my Sony camcorders worked properly as it did before.
