Multiple Routes

Hi All,
Can the route be different for different line items in a sales order? If yes, how is the requested delivery date is getting calculated in this case? Please suggest.
Regards,
Raghav

Hi
Route is determined by
1. Departute zone (of the Shipping point)
2. Shipping condition (from Sales doc type or SP)
3. Transportation group (from Material master data)
4. Transportation zone (from SH)
So, for different material 'Transportation group" may be different, Shipping point may be different, for different item there may be different SH.
Therefore for different items ,it is possible to have different Route in the Sales order.
Requested Delivery date is not determined by the system.
A default date comes automatically according to the settings/value in the "Lead time" field in the Sale document type (VOV8). If this field is blank then to-day's date will be proposed as the Requested Delivery date.
You can change this date in the Sales order.
Requested Delivery date is the date on which Customer wants to receive the goods.
Syatem calculates the Confirm Delivery date through Delivery scheduling. First it goes for BACKWARD SCHEDULING and tries to confirm the Requested Delivery date if possible.
If the Customer's Requested Delivery date is not possible to confirm then it immediately goes for FORWARD SCHEDULING and gives the next earliest possible Confirmed Delivery date which is different from the Requested Delivery date.
To calculate the Confirm Delivery date during Delivery scheduling, system takes four "Lead time"into consideration. They are
i. Pick/pack time
2. Tr.Planning time
3. Loading time
4. Transit time.
The "Pick/pack time" and "Loading time" comes from the Shipping point.
The "Tr.Planning time" and "Transit time "comes from the Route.
So, if different Routes are determined for different item, then their Delivery date may differ as different Route may have different Transit time and Tr.Planning time.
You can find the Confirm Delivery date for each item in their respective Schedule line.

I suspect this has to do with IP addresses changing from the main router after a certain amount of time.
    What could be causing this?
What can I do to stop this from happening?

Running multiple router behind router can be tricky and may be the cause of your dropouts if you don't have it configured properly.
Cisco recommends using your best router as your primary router and DHCP server.
The best way to setup for home networks, in my opinion, is to use only one router, and put the other router(s) in bridge mode.  Also, make sure your modem is not a router too.

  • Multiple routing tables and/or policy routing

    Hey all,
I'm trying to configure a Mac Mini (10.8) for multiple routing tables and policy routing.  This server runs Ostinato, a freeware traffic generator.  My purpose is to generate traffic on multiple VLANs towards different gateways and different destinations.  To that end, I have VLAN tagged the (only) Ethernet port and configured 5 VLANs on it.  The first one has the default route (I manage this Mac over this VLAN).  The other four have IP addresses in the test range I'm using.
The goal is to have traffic sourced from IP-address-X go out vlanX towards gateway-X.  It's counterpart on the far end runs Linux and I have configured it in this way:
ip route add default via <gateway-X> dev ethX table X
ip rule add from <network-X> table X priority X
Researching on OpenBSD forums (since it's the base of MacOS X), provided this:
    route -T X add 0.0.0.0/0 -iface <gateway-X>
echo pass in from <network-X> to 0.0.0.0/0 rtable X | pfctl -mf -
However, the Mountain Lion "route" command does not support the -T option, so that killed that idea.  Another forum suggested that this would have worked on 10.4:
ipfw add X fwd <gateway-X> ip from <IP-address-X> to any
I tried this on 10.8 though the man page says it's deprecated, and (surprise, surprise) it did not work.
Any ideas to get this working appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Aaron

Still doesn't have it in 10.9.4.
    irene:~ cschwartz$ sudo bash
    bash-3.2# route -T add
    route: illegal option -- T
usage: route [-dnqtv] command [[modifiers] args]
I'm guessing you want policy-based routing due to VLANs...? If you can get a USB-to-Ethernet adapter, then maybe you can work around this by using multiple physical links instead of VLAN tagging. But if you need source-based routing etc. then no.

  • Multiple Routes Single Delivery

    Dear SD Experts,
Leveraging on the org element "Transportation Planning Point" I see a need for multiple routes in the sales order depending on the shipping points from where product is loaded and send to the TPP finally for consolidation (e.g. goods are loaded from more than one plant-warehouses and then sent to a single place for further exports as in common in export scenarios. A delivery and invoice is then created for the whole order
Can someone explain how do I ensure delivery group correlation in in such a case
    Regards,
    Loknath

    Thanks you Chak,
That was indeed reassuring because thats the current state but that complicates the sales order process with having to manage a plant other than delivery plant which is not the port.
Is there any other simpler possibility e.g. of calling it something else other than TPP or logical plant (e.g. Transportation Connection Point) so that it lends itself to both objectives of a more robust route determination while capturing the fact that TCP is a port or a rail siding or a customs border where I can maintain times and calendars for scheduling the loading dates at shipping points (of delivery plant)
I would appreciate SD consultants view on this. I am not from SD scheme of things but am really interested in a route determination logic that I can use for conditional scheduling in APO

  • ACE module rservers multiple routed hops away

Hi all, deploying a ACE module in a cat6k. Just want to figure out, can I add to a serverfarm, rservers which are multiple routed hops away from the ACE or the cat6k in which it is deployed. please look at the attached diagrams. I have my servers at two subnets, and I want to add all 5 servers to the same server farm and load balance between them
Is this possible, if any what are the caveats ?

    Hi,
You can do this, but ypu have to use client-NAT to force the return traffic to pass back through the ACE. You also then need static routes in the ACE context to point at each server.

  • Disable BFD in multiple Router Sub interfaces that participates in OSPF

    Hi team,
Please help me on this. Here is the scenario:
We are on an enterprise set up and running on 100+ routers.
We have 200 to 300+ sub interfaces for virtual circuits
Our protocol is OSPF over MPLS
One of our provider in LA encountered link flaps on SONET causing our LA router that is directly connected to that link to recalculate multiple times.
Recalculation of OSPF routes caused disconnection of users in LA VM's.
We were advised by our provider in LA to disable BFD so minor link flaps will no affect recalculation of routes.
We are now tasked by our design team to Disable BFD in multiple Router Sub interfaces that participates in OSPF.
    My questions are:
What is the implication in disabling all BFD in routers' interface and sub interface?
Will this improve recalculation of OSPF routes in cause of link flaps or it will totally ignore the link flaps?
Will the routers only recognize a "full down" status of the interface?
How can we Disable BFD in multiple Router Sub interfaces that participates in OSPF in a faster way? Or do we have to do this one by one?
Please advise before we present this to the CAB and implementation. Thank you.

    My questions are:
What is the implication in disabling all BFD in routers' interface and sub interface?
Answer:  the implication would be eliminating sub-second millisecond convergence.
BFD detect failure at the link layer very fast , once detected it informs the upper layer protocol about the failure causing it to converge immediately.
Will this improve recalculation of OSPF routes in cause of link flaps or it will totally ignore the link flaps?
Answer: if your Provider experiencing intermittent flaps, then yes it will be advisable to turn BFD off. this however doesn't totally ignore the link flaps, once the upper protocol detect the failure based on the dead interval parameter on OSPF, it will recalculate OSPF routes again.  Keep in mind, if you have redundant or more links to your provider , then I wouldn't recommend disabling BFD , as it should improve Convergence and you shouldn't notice the failure.
Will the routers only recognize a "full down" status of the interface?
Answer: disabling BFD allows the router recognize a full down status once the upper protocol dead interval occurs or full down status of interface. which ever occurs the earliest.
How can we Disable BFD in multiple Router Sub interfaces that participates in OSPF in a faster way? Or do we have to do this one by one?
You can disable it one by one. or if you have configuration management software, it allows you to do it for all nodes at a time. but this depends if you have it or not.
Please consider not to disable BFD if you have multiple OSPF links towards your provider from any branch, as it shouldn't impact your VMs, it should rather improve Convergence at milliseconds which is absolutely not noticeable.

    Mohamed

  • Map app for multiple routes?

Is there a map app that will let you save different legs of a journey?
Say we're touring, and there are multiple places we'd like to see that day. Is it possible to route out point A to B, then B to C, C to D, and so on? And also possible to store the info offline?
I've searched though a bunch of map apps and haven't seen anything that does this specifically.
    TIA

I have the navigon app (just updated for multitasking) and it will save routes with multiple destinations. It's fairly expensive (about $50), but it seems to do a nice job especially with the iPhone connected to the car audio system. It will fade down the music, podcast, etc. and give voice directions. I've been using it instead if my stand-alone gps.

  • Order Fulfillment of LSP Service - multiple routing options - PR generation

    Hi,
We are a logistics company and in the process of implementing SAP in our organsiation. We are referring to SAP Best Practices for LSP which suggest that we create a service type material master record called 'LSP Service' with variant enabled for capturing characteristics at the time of customer sales order.
Suppose I get a customer sales order for 'LSP Service' with variant info trucktype=6wheeler and consignor party - xyz, Mumbai and consignee party - pqr, guwahati.
Now, The Transport planning officer has to explore various route options for transporting goods from Mumbai to Guwahati which are
    1. Mumbai to Guwahati direct
    2. Mumbai to Delhi , Delhi to Guwahati
    3. Mumbai to KAnpur, Kanpur to Guwahati
    4. Mumbai to Indore, Indore to Guwahati
    5. Mumbai to Nagpur , Nagpur to Guwahati
6, Mumbai to Nagpur, Nagpur to Kolkata, Kolkata to Guwahait
We execute the customers orders by hiring the vehicles from various vendors and our prices with the vendors are not fixed and decided on a day to day basis.
Based upon historical data, the system should propose the indicative costing for a given order for all the possible routes and transport planning officer should select the best option mostly on the basis of least cost. Now based upon the selected route, system should generate purchase requisitions.
For example, if Mumbai/Delhi/Guwahati route is selected, we would need to hire one vehicle from a vendor for Mumbai to Delhi, and another vehicle from another vendor for Delhi to Guwahati. There would be 2 purchase orders for hiring of vehicles required and for these 2 POs I'd want that 2 PRs should be generated one for mumbai to delhi, and another for delhi to guwahati.
Hope I've clarified my requirement. Shall appreciate your suggestions on best way to handle the scenario.

  • Multiple Router Issue

I have been using my WRT546s 4-port Wireless router. The ports are used to hard wire various rooms in my house (house was pre-wired). Everything works fine. I need to have more than one wired internet access in my office. So I tried to hook up my BEFSR41 4-port router. I cannot get it to work. I know the wiring is done correctly, I am assuming there are changes needed in my settings, but don't know where to begin. I am passed my warranty period on my two routers, so I am looking for free advice before I spend the $30 for Linksys Phone support.
I am using automatic dynamic IP address and am getting broadband through Comcast. Thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Rather than use a second router, the best thing to use in this case is a switch, such as the SD205, SD208, or SD216.  The switch does not require any configuration.  Just wire it to your router and it works.
To save money, your BEFSR41 can be converted to a switch.  To do this, do the following:
    1)  Power down your entire network.
    2)  Disconnect the BEFSR41 from everything except one computer that is wired to a LAN port on the BEFSR41.
    3)  Power up the BEFSR41 and the computer.  If the computer has a wireless card, turn it off.
    4)  Login to the BEFSR41 and make the following changes from factory defaults:
    a)  Change the "Local IP address" to 192.168.1.2  (this assumes that your WRT54GS is using 192.168.1.1 , and that you are not using 192.168.1.2  elsewhere in your network.)
    b)  Change the "DHCP server" to "disabled"
    c)  Click the "Save Settings" button, then wait (3 to 60 seconds) for the screen to refresh.  You will probably be disconnected from the BEFSR41.  Do not worry about this.
    5) Power down your entire network
    6) Wire any LAN port on the WRT54GS to any LAN port on the BEFSR41.  Do not connect anything to the Internet port on the BEFSR41.
    7)  All the remaining wired LAN ports on both routers will behave as if they were built into the WRT54G.

  • Snytax to connect multiple routes in LabVIEW

    Hi,
    i'm using a 64-relays-matrix with my NI-PXI-2567 module. It's includes an 3x18 matrix with 3 channels for 18 pins.
To make it easier in LabVIEW, i created routes for every posibiliy: CH1_TO_PX , CH2_TO_PX, CH3_TO_PX (X represents a number from 1 to 18)
For example, if I want Pin 1 connect to CH1, Pin 6 connect to CH2 and Pin 15 connect to CH3, the following routes need to be switched: CH1_TO_P1, CH2_TO_P6, CH3_TO_P15.
Question: What string do i need to connect to the "niSwitch Connect Channels(Mulitple).vI" to make this work?
    I tried it like this:
Unfortionatly, the error message says that there needs to be at least one arrow (->) in the string.
Doens't Labview take the String from the Route Setup? (see marked string in first picture bottom right)
What is the correct string that I need to use?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Bommelchen,
The thing that you are configuring in in NI Switch Executive. You will need to connect using NI Switch Executive if you wanted to configure the routes in MAX. See below for more information on using switch executive.
NI-SWITCH uses the channel names that the device has at default. If you choose to use NI-SWITCH you can only use a string such as "ch0->com0" using the default names of the device.

  • Multiple routing and BOM

    Hai gurus,
    1) My client manufacture whisky using process industry scenario.
    2) They produce whisky in bottling unit using either Auto line 1 or Auto line 2( work center)
    3) Also they select the BOM 1 or BOM 2( Old bottle or New Bottle) based on the availability.
    4) So for selection of BOM i had created the production version using old and new bottle.
    5) How to select the routing as it will be known only while converting planned orde to process order.
    6)  Actually i am selecting the BOM1 or BOM2(old or new bottle) based on the availability during partial  conversion of
planned order to process order or by doing read pp master.
    7) If that is case how to select the routing  Auto line 1 or 2)while converting planned order to process order as it will known      only on the  begining of that day production.
    waiting for the positive reply
    regards,
    sekar chand

    Hai Kumar,
    Thanks for you reply.
In Production Version we define the selection of BOM1 or BOM2( old or new bottle) based on the availability.
But the work center Auto line 1 may be used under BOM 1 and BOM2 based on the capacity or avialbility of the line
or Auto line 2 may be used under BOM 1 and BOM 2 based on the availabilty of the line.
It that is the case how to create Production version and select the same, for work center and BOM
    waiting for the positive reply.

  • Wiping the configuration on multiple router models

I have a total of (8) eight switches/routers that I need to wipe. None are connected to a network, and I am missing the cables that came with the devices.
    2 X Cisco 1700
    1 X Cisco 2500
    3 X Cisco 2600
    1 X Cisco 2801
    1 X Asanté IntraCore 3524
I'll have each router in front of me and I want to be able to plug each router into my laptop and log on. Does each model use a different type of cable configuration? Can I use a crossover from the laptop ethernet port into the router ethernet or FastEther port and then hook up a console cable from my serial port into the console port for all. I've seen crossover and rollover cables mentioned, so I'm confused.

Your cable reseller is blowing smoke.  The light blue cable has a DB9 on one end and an RJ-45 on the other end, right?  It will work for most any Cisco console port that is an RJ-45.  Now you might run across an old 7200 or something it might not work for but pretty much all of the modern Cisco switches and routers it will.  Now, it isn't technically the "rollover" cable because that cable actually has an RJ-45 on both ends.  You don't see too many of them anymore.  Those hearken from the day when you would get the rollover cable AND a DB9 to RJ-45 adapter in the box.  Sometimes you even got a DB25 to RJ-45 adapter in the box as well.  The light blue cable is really the same as the DB9 to RJ-45 adapter PLUS the rollover cable all combined into one unit.  All of those cables are designed to work with the console port.  For the routers you can use the rollover cable to connect from the AUX of the router port to the CON of any other Cisco device and use reverse telnet to get to it.  There is a little more to that configuration and you can easily find the details on the Internet.
The "crossover" cable is used to connect two Ethernet ports together.  Not many years ago it was required when connecting two switches together.  Now many of the switches can autosense MDI/MDI-X and switch their transmit and receive pins to compensate.  There are a few routers that can do it as well.  You can always try a straight-through Cat5 cable to see if it will work and, if it doesn't, switch to a "crossover".  A straight-through can always be used between a router and a switch or a PC and a switch.  However you MIGHT have to use a "crossover' if you are connecting switch to switch or router to PC.
Just about any of these cables can be made with some Cat5, plugs, and a crimper.  Cisco documents the pinouts.  In a nutshell a rollover cable is mapped as follows:
    1 <> 8
    2 <> 7
    3 <> 6
    4 <> 5
    5 <> 4
    6 <> 3
    7 <> 2
    8 <> 1
You can see why they call it a rollover because you "roll" the conductors over to the other side.  You can use Cat 5, 3, or even flat-satin for this since it is a serial cable.
The Ethernet "crossover" cable is called such because you are crossing over the transmit and receive pairs of the cable.  I don't have the pinout handy but look out on the Internet for a description of EIA/TIA 568A and 568B pinouts and you simply wire it as 568A on one side of the cable and 568B on the other side.  You must use Cat5 for this and, if doing GigE, should use Cat5E.

  • Flex + Multiple Routes, which button clicked?

I have a User Task (which uses a Flex form) in workbench which has 2 defined routes leading out of it, Approve and Reject. If Accept, a bunch of validation should occur. If Reject, no validation is needed.

At your PDDF form you have controls loke this : AWS_SUBMIT, AWS_ACTION, AWS_PROCESSTYPE etc.
AWS_SUBMIT it is button, you can put some javascript code on it's onClick event , which will make youre validation.
    Example:
    prodata.AWS_SUBMIT::click - (JavaScript, client)
// This is the AWS_SUBMIT click script

    The setup is:
AppleTV plugged into ethernet port of HomeHub(ADSL Hub) downstairs
iTunes computer plugged into a Netgear router upstairs which is plugged into an ethernet port of the HomeHub.
Now when i'm in AppleTV I choose Manual config, what IP's/Subnets/DNS's etc do I need to put in to get this thing working?
If I try it in my room it all works perfectly as its on the same network, but not downstairs.

    Thanks for the help.
I did this but it killed the wireless function on my router upstairs, so the current setup i have is
Port 1 is internet in, bridge to port 2 (the PC with iTunes) and to resolve the wireless issue i have bridge internet in to port 3, now i have wireless and have the netgear setup as a bridge, however, before i bridge port 3 it worked perfectly downstairs, now I cant browse Remote app is working too...

  • ISA550 - Multiple Router Question

I have a routing issue with a 2nd router that I hope someone can suggest a solution. Since I have the ISA550 - wired version only - I am adding a wireless router to the network.  I have a /29 block available from my ISP and the router needs a static IP address so I thought that I could static route? to the WAN of the ISA550.  The router has it's own NAT, DHCP, etc., but I need it to route to the internet without disrupting the VLANS already setup in the ISA550.  I have been using Static NAT for other devices that need a public IP, but I'm not sure how to deal with the wireless router.
    Any suggestions?

Based on the information you've provided and considering the possibility of Static NAT'ing an IP to itself, it might be possible to do this without double NAT'ing.  I'll give you 2 scenarios.  One which might work without double NAT'ing, but will cost you 2 IPs.  The second is with Double NAT'ing and will not cost you any IPs.  Both of my scenarios assume the ISP uses 74.10.10.1 and you have 74.10.10.2 - 74.10.10.6 available for your use.  If that is not accurate, you can adjust IP Addressing accordingly.
    Scenario 1
    ISP Modem -> ISA WAN (74.10.10.2 / 255.255.255.252)
    ISA LAN (74.10.10.5 / 255.255.255.252) -> Airport (74.10.10.6 / 255.255.255.252) -> Wireless Clients (10.0.2.x)
Configure a Static NAT entry in the ISA to translate 74.10.10.6 to 74.10.10.6
Projected end result is that the internet would see the Airport as 74.10.10.6
In Scenario 1, you would lose the use of the IPs 74.10.10.3 and 74.10.10.4 as they would be consumed by subnetting your 1 subnet into 2 so you could assign them to different interfaces on the ISA.  Any other hosted services would have to use the 74.10.10.2 IP.
    Scenario 2
    ISP Modem -> ISA WAN (74.10.10.2 / 255.255.255.248)
    ISA LAN (192.168.100.1 / 255.255.255.0) -> Airport 192.168.100.2 / 255.255.255.0) -> Wireless Clients (10.0.2.x)
Configure Static NAT entry in the ISA to translate 192.168.100.2 to 74.10.10.6
Projected end result is that the internet would see the Airport as 74.10.10.6
In Scenario 2, you would retain all your IPs however 10.0.2.x clients would be NAT'd to 192.168.100.2 which would then be NAT'd to 74.10.10.6 resulting in double NAT'ing.
If you'd like to discuss this further before beginning and feel it would be better discussed over the phone, send me a PM and I'll give you a number you can reach me on.
