Muse Edits Do Not Publish

I am using the Beta version of Muse. I launched the website to a third-party provider (StartLogic) and it all went well. I have since then made many edits to the pages. I saved the pages and exported the site to my FTP server. It all looked as if it transferred; however, when I went back to view the website, not one of the pages reflect my changes. I even tried saving the Muse site as a different name. Again, it looked as if it exported and transferred; however, nothing changed. Is there anything else that can be done? Or are edits not possible in the Beta version??

I'm using Muse 2.1
I clear cache and Hard Refresh.
My hosting is from GoDaddy and it is working but just not right.
When I delete all files off the server and then FTP the entire site I get errors saying Muse can't create a folder "like: assets" and any other folder having to do with Adobe Edge. I click Retry and it creates the folder for each error.
But only about 90% of the files actually upload and most Edge files and even some pictures don't show up.
If I manually upload the website using Internet Explorer as my FTP it works perfect even for overwriting files.
The last web design program I was using would FTP fine and even overwrite old files for changes.
The FTP does works on another Muse website that goes into a Subdirectory.
I think it's a problem going into the root folder.
I know there is an update that affects FTP but I couldn't find it to install.....

Edited Images not Published

I edited my images from my web page using Photoshop CS5 (using control click, edit in Photoshop), saved them and when I was finished, I published the draft and the images were in their pre-edited stage. It worked when I did just one image on a page but this time I edited 6. I tried various times to publish the draft but had the same result. My versiond of Contribute is CS5.

Yes, each is its own image, as making one text box and hyperlinking each word/phrase results in the unchangeable (arrrgh!) grey underlined text that changes to red on rollover.
I've already been experimenting with exactly what you mentioned. I just tried shrinking all the image boxes, without encroaching on the text, so they would clearly not overlap. I'm publishing to me.com for these experiments so I don't have to keep publishing the entire site to a folder, then ftping to my server. Here's the page I just experimented with:

In iWeb, all links are good to go, no overlapping, etc. Curiously enough, on this page, there are even more dysfunctional hyperlinks with those image boxes.

Hyperlinks edits are not retained when site is published

I am trying to link images on a page to specific url in iWeb slideshow. I am setting up the link as an external link and paste the entire url from the slideshow. I have gotten it to work but not consistently. If I cut and paste the url from the slideshow into the link inspector and edit the photo number (after the #) that edit does not seem to be retained when I publish the site. In fact, when I view the link characteristics in the inspector the type has changed to file and the name of the file is the photo file name.
Any ideas what is happening. Like I said, I have gotten it to work but I cannot seem to figure out why some work and others do not.

Point of clarification... I was not linking directly to the slide show but rather the page that is automatically generated from a gallery page when you click on a thumbnail. This keeps the formatting of that automatically generated page.
Update: I've been able to resolve the issue. The solution I found is as follows:
For each of the photo links I set the "Link To" value to "One of My Pages" and selected the main page. Then I set the "Link To" value to "An External Page" and then my pasted url was saved.
One of my coworkers suggested that I create five additional pages formatted exactly like I those that are automatically generated but DO NOT add them to the navigation bar. This method also works.

Muse site not publishing - stops at 10% with no error code

Muse site used to work perfectly now will not publish since I upgraded 2013.3
When you click publish, it says optimizing, but stops at 10%. No error code pops up - it just stays at 10% and will not publish. Please Help!!!

Only some of my edited info gets published, and not others?!?!

I built a website for my mom on iweb about 8 months ago. I make changes to it monthly and have no problem publishing the changes.
However; today I made some changes to the site on iweb today, and the changes I made to the contact page, and product pictures page. But the changes I made on my home page and about us page will not publish no matter how many times I do it. Its so frustrating, the only changes I made was to the words, deleted some words, added some new ones, made some spaces between lines and they just wont stick.
I save it, then publish it to a folder, then I use CuteFTP Mac to publish, which I've never had a problem with.
PLEASE HELP, I am getting paid to publish these changes and I cant seem to do it!

Hi,
my guess is that the changes get published but you don't see them.
If a change doesn't display to you in the browser after you published and uploaded it mostly is because the old version of the page is cached (memorized) by your browser. Thus simply emptying the cache of the browser (Open Safari, choose Safari from the menu and go to Empty Cache) and reloading the page should display the changes.

Can Someone PLEASE Tell Me Why My Muse Site Will Not Work Upon HTML Export?

Sorry for the long title!
I've had a few threads going regarding troubles with my Muse site. These issues have been on-going, and once I was no longer able to upload to Fetch—and had to export to html via FileZilla—it just seems the problems continue to snowball.

When this site was html-based (its original form), using my yahoo small business web host and Fetch, it worked like a charm. All Flash files functioned at 100%, embedded videos/players all played great, etc. Then, I switched over to Muse 1.) because I was excited by the potential, and 2.) I wanted to re-design my site, anyway.
So, I created my site in Muse, and uploaded it all into Fetch. I soon found that some of my Flash files and videos were not working. This was the case for a long time. I finally gave up after trying everything and asking lots of questions here.
Just recently, I set out to fix these issues as I was afraid this half-assed site would appear to make me look unprofessional and like I had no idea how to use Flash. I had some problems with the new Muse Update (had to ditch Fetch and use "export with html" using FileZlilla). Changes made to my Muse file were not taking... and each time I viewed my updated site, the updates were not there—it still looked like the previous incarnation of the site. However, with some help from some of the good folks here, I was able to make my site not only update, but work nearly perfectly—or so I thought!
I just clicked on my personal web site URL link in my LinkedIn page, and I see the old-looking site! The bookmark I have of my site is near-perfect—only the videos still will not load. However, it would seem that my site only functions as well as it does on MY computer only—that is, URL's I have been sending out probably are of the old non-functioning site? The changes I make are not being recognized.
If you will, click on my above URL (in bold)..... If you click on "Resume", you should see light blue rules separating each section. But I bet you will see heavier gray bars with headers inside them. Also, if you view my Flash work, go to the "Epiphone Casino Mini Site".... the "Finshes" and "Features" pages' interactive elements will not function as they should (never mind the video page!)—but they work perfectly when accessing my site from my bookmark on my computer.
Can someone please tell me how to make my site update web-wide, and how to get my Flash files to function?

It seams a lot of folks are haveing issues with FTP upload. Try these areas to look at. Maybe the right answer. I dont use Flash on my sites for a long time now. Anyhow, check these out.

Can two iCal users edit the same published/shared calendar

Can two iCal users (obviously different mobileMe accounts) edit the same published/shared calendar? I want to have a calendar running which we can both edit remotely but for it to be synced so we both know what each other is doing. Maybe I can share it on my iDisk somehow? I have searched but could not find an answer so I am sorry if this has been covered already !

There is now way to do this using standard MobileMe and iCal. What you could is both share your calendars so that both of you can read each other's calendar.
If you want both to have read-write access to a calendar you will need to use third party software or set up a Google calendar where both of you have read-write access to the calendar.

Editing a previously published content item results in no workflow applied

Hi,
We have developed numerous workflows, which are configured as default from New menu configurations.
We are seeing two issues:
1) Copying an existing content item, the assigned workflow to the New menu is not applied. This is apparently by design in 11g (did work in 7.x) according to Oracle support. We have raised a product enhancement request
2) Editing a content item which has passed through its workflow stages and has been published, the previously assigned workflow is not assigned.
Issue 2) is what we are looking into now. Apparently (again) this is by design.
Is there a common approach that people are using to resolve this issue, in that editing a previously published content item, those changes will be subject to the original workflow stages before it will be re-published?
We have heard mentioned of listeners or further stages in the workflow...

EJB not published in the JNDI tree

I am trying to deploy a simple ear file containing one ejb on to WL 9.2. The app is deploying without any problems, but the EJB is not published in the JNDI tree. When I look at the EJB's configuration through the admin console, it does indicated that the JNDI name is set to "ejb/HelloWorld". However, when I look at the JNDI tree there is no HelloWorld node under ejb. Below is my weblogic-ejb-jar.xml file that defines the JNDI name:

It seems that I have the same problem with WL 10. Has any of you solved this yet?
I'm trying to switch my application from perfectly working JBoss 4.2 environment to WL 10 and no luck so far, because of this weird problem.
What I have noticed so far is:
- Some of my sessions beans are deployed ok
- "Big" session beans are silently ignored in deployment. This is unbelievable because these beans are SILENTLY ignored. And, my session beans are not that big. Under 700 LOC all of them.
- These EJBs don't appear in admin console's JNDI-browser
- These EJBs don't appear in ear-content details in "Deployments" section.
- These EJBs don't get their stubs generated in server/cache/EJBCompilerCache
- One big is ignored, but when splitting it in e.g. three smaller ones, all of these three session beans are deployed successfully
I'm using EJB3 session beans with no XML-descriptors.
So what is going on here??!
Looking forward to hear some answers. At least from BEA developers or other insiders.

In Adobe Muse, when trying to publish a temporary site I get the next error: An unknown authentication error has occured using your AdobeID. (shared_unknown_error)

My account is set up, but can not publish a temporary site!!!
Any help will be highly appreciate.

Restart Muse,
Login to Muse again.

Your last post is confusing - and the technology is unforgiving. So let me
see if I can piece this together....
Starting with the Tab 7.7: some manufacturers have devices that they
improve upon and claim compatibility because they're 'just like' XUY that
they made last year. Sometimes this is true, but often, the user ends up
with claims and not much function. Samsung is pretty good about this, but
you can't assume that, just because you can connect the Tab to your
computer and move stuff back and forth, that the programs on your computer
are going to work with your Tab - and vice versa.
The OS on the tablet is NOT compatible with ADE, so you can't drag and drop
ebooks as you would with other ereaders. You have to use utility programs
to move the ebook to your Tab. Once you move the ebook to the tablet,
Aldiko should be the program that you use to read the ebook. In your
situation, all ADE is doing is retrieving the ebook from the source, and
storing it on your computer.
You mention "software/apps that are available for DRM". DRM is the copy
protection on an ebook. It's a software switch built into the ebook's ID
file and all that it does is to tell you whether or not you can copy or
print the ebook. ADE and Aldiko look at the switch when you open or try to
copy the ebook. And if the DRM settings are preventing Aldiko from opening
the ebook, you're stuck. Those settings come from the publisher,
distributor or author, not from either ADE or Aldiko. You can try to open
the ebook on your computer with ADE and see if you get the same results.
You mention error messages. I think, from the context, you're getting them
on the Tab when you try to do something with the ebook. Any messages
relating to time relate to the settings for your time, date and time zone.
I'm guessing here, but I think your Tab's settings aren't the same as your
computer's, and that's why you get the 'expired' message. The 'unknown
error' message may be from Aldiko - and we're not equipped here in the ADE
forum to deal with that one - sorry! If the error message section of the
Aldiko user guide doesn't tell you either, then you might be able to find
out what to do about it from an Aldiko forum.
Your Overdrive comment has me puzzled. I looked for some context in the
other posts in this stream, and I didn't see anything that helped.
Overdrive is a 'elibrary management system' that does much the same thing
as ADE does. So, you can import and export ebooks via Overdrive. Your
situation seems to revolve around how you get ebooks onto your Tab and then
get Aldiko to open them for you to read, and I don't know if Overdrive
supports the Tab either.

Contribute CS3 will not publish Flash Player

A few months ago the company I work for bought Contribute CS3
to edit our website. The homepage of our website contains a Flash
Player file. When I edit and publish this homepage Contribute will
not publish the Flash Player file this section just shows up blank
stating movie not loaded when I bring up our website. The same
thing happens even when I do a 'send for review' before I actually
publish the page. I have administrator rights through Contribute to
edit this website therefore I am confused as to why Contribute will
not publish this Flash Player file. I have also tired to reinsert
the Flash file while editing in Contribute and still the file will
not publish. Would anyone know why this would happen?

IWeb 3.0.4 will not publish changes.

I have not updated or made any changes to my system. I am using Leopard. Suddenly, iWeb is not working. I edit my homepage, but when I publish, the changes do not appear online. I have tried several times; I have even delted the home page and created a new one from scratch. But every time I publish, it just shows the previous version. I'm trying to change a link for one of the words on the page, but it won't work. Help!

I am having the same problem. I created a new website with iWeb and when I test the connection everything is ok. The site page listing on the upper left side of the window is red and next to the site name there is a small icon that looks similar to an RSS feed icon. When I click on PUBLISH ENTIRE SITE that option grays out but nothing happens. In the past when I have published websites next to the site name there is a circle that shows the progress of the upload and when completed the list turns blue. I have cleared cache, quit iWeb and restarted the computer. I do have multiple usernames on this computer each with a different iWeb website, but none of them are logged in.
Godaddy is the host and I called their support line and all my settings are correct. Although they tried, they could not help me beyond that. My iWeb version is 3.0.3 and I am running on OSX v 10.5.8.
I have had similar problems in the past with iWeb not publishing changes, but usually after I do the things above it will work.

Outlook 2013 is not publishing calendar to webdav using settings successful with Outlook 2010

I am successfully publishing availability data (an ics file) to a webdav server, using Outlook 2010. The format of the URL is https://[domain]/public_html/calendar/
When I use the same URL in Outlook 2013, it returns the message "Contacting web server" and then "The upload to 'Calendar' failed. Failed to sign in."
Of course, there's no sign in dialog box provided. So, I change the URL to the format https://[login name]:[password]@URL/public_html/calendar/
There is no "Contacting web server". Instead, Outlook goes directly to the error message "The upload of 'Calendar' failed. The calendar was not published because the connection to the server failed. Make sure your computer has a network connection
and that you typed the correct Web address."
There's nothing wrong with the connection; I've tried this and its failed many times. So, I conclude that Outlook 2013 doesn't like a web address that includes the login credentials.
What changed with Outlook 2013 that prevents it from publishing to the same location successfully published to, by Outlook 2010?

This problem continues, and it's a showstopper. Honestly, this is so easy to reproduce and so fundamental that I'm surprised that Microsoft hasn't done anything with it. Tony Chen, your answer isn't really an answer
at all. Why mark it as an answer?
Here are the specifics. I have Microsoft Outlook 2013 (15.0.4667.1000) MSO (15.0.4667.1001) 32 bit (part of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013).
In my calendar, I select "Publish Online > Publish to WebDAV Server". I then have a dialog box that requires that I enter the publishing location URL.
I enter a URL (which is my company's internal WebDAV server URL), in the same form as the example given:
https://mycompany.com/calendars/
and then I click "Advanced". I select "Automatic Uploads: Upload updates periodically", with the Update Frequency checkbox checked (to select the server's recommended settings). I click "OK", and my calendar is published
periodically to the WebDAV server, as expected.
If I monitor traffic with fiddler, I can see that outlook periodically does a PROPFIND and then PUT of my ical data to https://mycompany.com/calendars/myfile.ics.
Next, suppose I want to change the publish settings in some way. So in my calendar, I select "Publish Online > Change Publishing Options".
Now, the "Location" text box has the previous URL I entered,
plus the name of my .ics file. So it looks like this in the text box:
https://mycompany.com/calendars/myfile.ics
I click "OK", and I get an error popup that says "The address you typed is not valid. Check the address, and try again." Note that I didn't type the address at all - it is what outlook put there for me.
As a side note: in Outlook 2010 the URL shown is the same (i.e., the URL includes the .ics file) but the text box is inactive (greyed out) and the "OK" button does not produce this error message).
So, already something has gone very wrong. In order to try to work around this, I then edit the text box to remove the .ics file (i.e., to put the URL back to what I originally typed,
https://mycompany.com/calendars/). But now, one of two things will happen, neither of which is ok.
In some cases, Outlook will continue to publish periodically, but when it does, it will do a PUT to
https://mycompany.com/calendars/ - without the myfile.ics suffix. Naturally, this fails, because the server doesn't know what .ics file it's supposed to put the PUT payload into.
In other cases, Outlook ceases publishing altogether. It will do a PROPFIND to the URL, but then no PUT. I have not yet figured out the circumstances of these two failure modes, so I'm not yet sure why one happens and not the other. But
they are both wrong.
So, the long and short of this is, you cannot change publishing options in Outlook 2013, because the functionality (which worked fine in Outlook 2010) is just plain broken. I have given the steps required to reproduce this problem, and it seems like
it would be easy to address. Yet it has been sitting for 1.5 years with no fix. What will it take to get this fixed? Microsoft people, please advise - if I can get it fixed by opening a support case then please say so; paying is not an obstacle.

Typekit not publishing font correctly - Regular is showing up as Italic in published page

Typekit font (Source Sans Pro) is not rendering correctly when publishing site from Muse. I know not to expect it to preview correctly (sigh) but it is not publishing. Ex: Source Sans Pro Light 16 point is publishing/displaying in web page as ITALIC, not regular. HELP!
This issue is cross-platform, PC and Mac.
Looks great in Design, Preview all messed up, but PUBLISH shows font as displayed in Preview, NOT as displayed in Design.
