To return an iOS product requires a valid receipt. You have 30 days to return an iPhone. The iPhone must have all original packaging & accessories and be in new condition. Apple may charge a restocking fee on a returned iPhone.
If the iPhone was bought from a 3rd party, their regulations for returns would apply.

If it is replaced under warranty, it will be replaced with a unit from the "replacement stock", which either will be a refurb or new (no way to distinguish these) and the S/N will indicate a replacement unit.
The "30 day" rule varies from county to country, and applies only to returns, not replacement.

I have my iPhone 4S paired with my macbook retina, so hexonxonx's reply is incorrect.
After you pair your phone and your computer, go into network preferences on your computer. Click the bluetooth pan, check that you see your phone and click connect.
That worked for me.
If I click connect from the phone it tells me that my retina mbp isn't compatible and it forces me to forget this device. If this happens just repair it...

Bee , you are so right that most people only post when things go wrong not right. Which made me think about the Apple Store in Charleston, SC. I have never had a bad experience and besides buying my iMac there (which was a really good experience as it took us several trips to decide and they were really helpful) I have had a number of 1:1's and I think one trip to the genius bar which resulted in a new mouse. Everyone I have dealt with there has been respectful and helpful. At least with those visits you do get a chance to provide feedback.

No. Nothing can be done about this. It was made clear quite some time ago what the situation was going to be.
Now... That said, if you have an iPhone 4S, there is a SIM tray on the right hand side of the phone.
If you have an iPhone 4 as you indicate, THERE IS NO SIM TRAY. The iPhone 4 is NOT a world Phone. You can only use that phone on Sprint or roam to their CDMA partners where present. The phone will not work at all throughout most of the world, including Europe.

My CDMA Straight Talk iPhone 5 was defective and the Apple Store replaced it. But now I can't activate the new iPhone!

I have been to the Apple Store twice now, and my original iPhone has been replaced three times since Tuesday. Straight Talk says they are getting an error on their end when trying to activate and add the phone to my existing account. No. If you made your backup to iCloud, iTunes will not restore from an iCloud backup. See:

IPhone 3GS keeps rebooting, brand new, never jailbroken

I bought an iPhone 3GS in 2010. Worked perfectly until iOS 5.1, then it started rebooting whenever the SIM-card was in, but worked fine as a iPod Touch whenever the SIM was removed. Also, it needed to be restored after each reboot because iTunes couldn't identify it. I took it to the Apple store (on 5th Ave, if that's any relevant information). The Genius told me it had nothing to do with the software. The phone was broken. He did not specify what exactly was broken, but he offered me a replacement for about 160 USD (that's including tax). I accepted and was happy for my new phone until the same problem occured after just four days of getting the new phone. I'd take it to the store again, but the problem is - I don't actually live in New York. Currently living in Denmark. Brought it to my service provider, and they told me the phone was broken. Called Apple but they couldn't help me, since it was out of warranty.
TLDR
Had an iPhone 3GS, kept rebooting and had to be restored when SIM-card active. Got it replaced to the exact same model (iPhone 3GS 32 GB), same exact problem. Neither Apple or service provider will help me.
Neither phones had ever been jailbroken or used by anyone else.

Your only option is to bring the phone back to the US for exchange. Warranty is NOT worldwide.
There really is nothing else we users can do for you.

Sorry to tell you but unless you have a Retail Apple Store close by, they are the only ones I have found with all the adapters and accessories. I bought an extra lightning to usb adapter the other day to use in my truck. Good luck....

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

MacBook Pro stolen Insurance company replacement ZONM-0003

I had my macbook Pro stolen a couple weeks ago. I have replacement converage with my insurance company, however they are trying to get me to sign this authorization form to replace it with a computer with the Model # as ZONM-0003. From searching google all I can find is that these computers appear to have been built with (Spare, Repair or replacement parts). Does anyone have any information on any MacBook Pro's with this model #. They tell me that they are brand new computers from Apple, but from what I can see these are not the correct model numbers. I don't want to get a computer that has refurbished parts and end up having to bring it in for repairs constantly or have problems with even having it fixed because the parts are not new. Any advice would be appreciated.

Factory-refurbished Macs are indistinguishable from brand new ones, come with the same warranty, and are eligible for the same extended coverage with the purchase of the AppleCare plan. A refurbished Mac is a better deal than a new one, with no drawbacks. Be glad you're getting one.
