My ipod touch version 1.1.5 will not connect to itunes store but supposedly my software is up to dat and I tried changing date and time and no success, does anyone have any suggestions?
If you really have iOS 1.1.5 you have an 1G (original iPod touch). You need at least iOS 2 for the App Store. The last update for the 1G is 3.1.3 that you get here:

- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

Take it to you nearest Apple Store and see what they have to say. You should back up you data before you go in but in your case you can not.

Cured the problem! Reinstalled an earlier version of itunes from oldapps.com (version 10) now everything works as it should. I would suggest that if you are experiencing these problems that you do the same. I must say that it is a brave business decision on behalf of apple to effectively lock out all windows 7 users from their products and sales channels and I can only wish them luck in this very shortsighted policy.

It could either be that the backlight is out. In that case, you can still see the interface, but it is very faint. Shining a light on it from the side should let you see if this is the case.
The other option is that moisture has gotten in there and caused a problem. If you have gotten it wet in the past, that is likely what has caused the problem.
