My line/broadband history

For some guys, I thought I would copy raymie67 and make a post and keep you all up-to-date about what has happened over the time of my faults:
And now whats happening is we had 6 vans out last week and they think the underground cable has been struck with lightning about 20 years ago, and its all stuffed.  So they're going to put up some new poles along the road and put some Dropwire 12 (which is equivilant to .6 wire) and then they're going to duct under the field to the junction box where the other poles are, so that if any cable is ever faulty they can just blow new stuff through, and thats all going to be .9 cable.  And finaly... The final current dropwire is going to be replaced with the DropWire 12 .
Order of Events:
1. They found a fault with about 400m of main cable that was underground, so they replaced that.
2. Then they have swapped some D-Side and E-side routing (TCLW. 2/3 poles reqd at customer end to bypass faulty DIG ca ble. A55 submitted f or poles to be suppl ied. addiditonally, E side swapped and o ther Dside work done to get rid of hum o n line. ltok. e side routing is now MDF F288 PCP1 E187)
3. Temporary cable has been put up for the 800m of underground cable which they can't seem to find a fault on.
4. And then as it said the 2 new poles have been put up from the junction box before the stream to the house on normal dropwire, which is where I think the birds have been causing trouble on the connection, but for some reason last week it hasn't happened.
Updates will follow as Openreach do they're work.

  • Service line item History for Contracts with item cat - D and Acc Assg P

    Hello Gurus,
We have a situation where we create contract with item category D (Service) and account assignment category P (Projects). And for the line items of the PO we have difference services (without a service master) and each service line item has the price and quantity and other required fields. Now it is required to change the price or the quantity or both for this service line time and again (business requirement).
The task is to to track the price changes and the quantity changes that have happened to the serive line item from the original and we require the report to diplay the original price and the present price on the service line.
The question is: Is there a standard report in SAP to handle this? Or which are the tables where a service line items history is stored so that it can lead to a development.
    Regards - SS

    Hi Pankaj,
We are using a Percentage based case (Prorata case)
For Eg : For Eg for 65% (65KAI )material Price 1000 Rs
If the Purity percentage varies payment will be done as per the same. For eg : for 70% (70KAI ) Price 1200 Rs. (approx)
In this case unit of measurement is KAI (kilo active ingredient) .
    Actually we are dealing with dealer price where duties are entered Inclusive of the total price and entered at the time of making GR. and the payment is made as per the same;
we have one po for 5000 MT. where we received material at first time Qty being 1993 MT.The duties manuallyentered are as follows :BED :24,167.00
    AED : 7,076.00
    ECS : 483.00
    SECES : 242.00
These duties are flowing correctly in MIRO
and the MIRO has been Posted and payment is also made.
But while the balance quantity 2982 kg we received next time and those duties are as flowing as follws:
    BED : 36160
    AED : 10587
    ECS : 723
    SECS : 362
But here at the MIRO the following duties are flowing instead of above
    BED : 36,526.08
    AED : 10,694.18
    ECS : 730.32
    SECS : 365.66
What might be the error at this stage.
waiting for solution at the earliest .

  • The forgotton estate(s) 2013 & no fixed line Broadband ! Why ?

Glanmire is a large town situated 6 kilometres outside Cork city.Glanmire has a population of 16,000 + people. I have a house in Elmgrove,Sallybrook,Glanmire,Cork.  There are over 150 houses in the estate. There are two other estates in close proximity. Barrymore Estate (200 houses) & Millbrook ( 100 houses)

We have no fixed line broadband.
At least 450 houses are screaming out for fixed line broadband. Its not like we are living out in the middle of nowhere!
I was told years ago the the extange has to be upgraded.
I got hopeful latley when i saw kn networks laying cables on the main road at the entrance of our estate.
I have heard since that the houses across the road from our estate has fixed line.
Phoning eircom enquiring on "when" has been a waste of time.
My neighbours and i feel we have been overlooked and forgotton about.
I have read other posts from eircom customers and am impressed with your honestly & helpful advise.

Hi Mark, Thanks for your reply. The details I used in signing up to this forum is from 1 of 2 houses that I own.The details I used are from a house in the country miles from the Cork city.(Carraignavar). That house has broadband. The other house is the one that I am seeking information on.Its in Elmgrove,Sallybrook,Glanmire,Cork. I included a link of the exact location in my first post. This house is just outside Cork city and is in the middle of 3 large estates of about 500 houses and has absolutely no fixed-line broadband whatsoever. The markings on the exchange box are  SBK1  MDF We arena looking for NGB or efibre.   Just fixed-line broadband will do. All the surrounding areas of Glanmire have broadband. All except the 3 estates I mentioned in my 1st post. 1. Millbrook Estate, Sallybrook, Glanmire, Cork2. Barrymore Estate, Sallybrook, Glanmire, Cork3. Elmgrove Estate, Sallybrook, Glanmire Cork You said in your reply "From existing network / exchange capability to existing to possible customer base"Does this mean that is must be worthwhile for eircom to upgrade the network/exchange  ?The above estates have roughly 500 houses in them.Surely those figures alone would justify upgrading. The reason I titled the subject " The forgotten estates" is because I truly believe we have been forgotten about. All of the surrounding areas can receive eircom fixed line broadband. All except us. You also said in your reply "I am afraid there is no process to escalate or expedite a request for an exchange to be upgraded broadband"If you cant escalate or expedite a request for an upgrade, can you at least find out why we haven been upgraded already when all the surrounding areas have. All except us Supply & demand ?  There is demand from over 500 houses. I really think that this matter needs to be brought to the attention of somebody that can make decisions in eircom as I'm sure if they heard about it, they would find it hard to explain.  We aren't looking for NGB or efibre.   Just fixedline broadband will do.  Id appreciate any help or information. Kind Regards, Cashy

  • 3 months and still no line/broadband?!

    Hi all,
I ordered BT Infinity way back in September for my new home , which is on a new build plot, and I'm still not connected?! I have had two engineers out to connect me, the first one was a phone line and infinity engineer who informed me, at the time, that there was no DP in the street. I wasted a days holiday for this and the engineer wasn't too happy either, as he had travelled a fair distance for no reason. It beggars belief that a communication company is so poor at communicating! That was on the 24th October.
After a whole lot of 'escalating' and messages saying due to essential engineering work or problems with contractors and equipment, I got another install date of 12th December, which they cancelled a day or two before due to 'essential engineering work'! I had to do a lot of sorting out of workload to get the 12th off on holiday, which I then had to take anyway, so I had a day off for nothing. But..... as I was washing up some pots I got a phone call from an Openreach engineer at around 08:30 saying he was at the cabinet and was going to connect me their before coming to my house to connect me up! I did tell home that this appointment had been cancelled, but he seemed pretty confident that he could get me sorted and as long as I hadn't cancelled my order (well, not yet) he would have a crack. He came round, said all was good at the cabinet end but there was a signal break somewhere from the cabinet to my house, and after a bit of testing at my house realised there was nothing more he could do as he wasn't a phone line engineer and that was where the problem seemed to be. I was told near the beginning of this farce, that I didn't even have a line of any sort to my house yet, but he found one?!?!
This was yet again a very good example of the pure lack of communication that appears to exist within a company whose sole job is communication!
We were the second people onto this site , and while my neighbours appear to be having no problems getting connected, I keep getting this rubbish of essential engineering work. I have complained via email about this and was told that not all properties, despite being on the same street, will be connected to the same cabinet. Fair enough, until I found out that there is only on cabinet in my area!! What is going on?!?! Any help from mods would be much appreciated.
    Many thanks,
    Jonny

  • The odds of BT not screwing up line/broadband move...

Have ordered a move, phone line and broadband, same exchange, to a new office a mile away. Originally placed the order OK, then had to change the date. Was on hold 22 minutes (gave up), and 30 minutes (got through) before I could give them the new date. Was originally told it would be free, am now told it will be £99. Was told it would all be done on the same day at the same time. Am now told it could be 5 working days after phone lines moves before broadband moves. I also have the nasty feeling that this move ties me into BT for another few years. Since booking this I've had cold-calls from BT trying to flog me a website I don't need, an advisor in an Indian call centre call with info I already had, and someone 'returning your call' when I requested no such thing. I offered £10 to a charity of BT's choice if they could complete this simple order without screwing up. They declined. I have a nasty feeling that in 2 weeks time I will be without phone, net, and in the hands of the BT machine...

  • Dead phone line/broadband - engineer no show

    Hello all.
On Friday I noticed my hh4 was orange with a red flashing bb sign, I picked up the phone to call bt but the phone line was also dead. I proceeded to do all the necessary checks to rule out my equipment and internal wiring and called from the mobile. I was promised an appointment saturday the 12th between 1-6pm so changed my plans to sit by the window but nobody showed. I called bt again to find out why and was told I would be called back, this also didn't happen. When I finally got through again (today) I was told I would have to wait until monday to be told why the guy didn't show up. I received a text this morning telling me they were still trying to fix the problem, fine but nobody actually started in the first place. Any advice on how I can get this sorted? I'd rearrange the appointment but since it was not my fault I don't see why I should have to. It's left everyone in the house behind in work, which could have been worked around had we have been told nobody was coming yesterday, so I am obviously living in a frustrated and fed up household. What are my options here?

  • On-line billing history

I'm on the Free Evening and Weekend Call package (12 month contract) but noticed recently my bills have been flutuating in price. Sometimes I get the 2.99 rebate, sometimes I don't. I wanted to check over the past 12 months (coming to the end of my contract now) whether in fact BT have charged me the correct amount. However, my problem is that on the on-line billing system it only shows up to September 2009. So, I ring BT up and ask what's going on. They said I was credited back in May 2009 three times and it should work out ok. However, I can't view my bills that far back!!! I asked about getting the bills emailed to me and they want to charge me £4.70 PER BILL! Basically I have to take their word for it. Maybe I was being a bit pesimistic here by not saving the PDFs but why on earth does the BT system not store at least 12 months. I mean, come on now, it doesn't use up all that much space.

Records of bills go back 18 months, so you'd have to basically cancel service and wait 18 months before you were completely gone online.

  • Broadband Issues and a Noisey Line.

OK first post so ill lay this out best i can.
Just moved home and now have BT for the the phone line, Broadband and BT Vision.
Now when they line was activated speeds were all over anything from 4meg - 8meg at any time, I know there is a settling in period however the line itself had plenty of static on the dial tone. So I checked the stats on the Bt Hub however i can only get the downstream/upstream info and connection time. Bit annoying that i cant find exact stats to view the line attenuation, anway.
Over a couple of days the connection time was constantly being reset and the Downstream value was decreasing so unsure of quality of installation in the property i had a look and removed numerous extended boxes and brought the Master Socket to the main cable in. Since then the noise on the line has gone and the Hub has maintained its connection for 4 days now. I also removed the powerline adapter for the BT vision since the BB being recieved is well unsuitable to stream anything it seemed pointless leaving it in if its possible to cause issues.
Now my query is this because of the first week of D/c and very noisey line will my BB have been banded by the equipment at the exchange? Is it possible to reset this so it can go thru the tests to see if i can recieve greater speeds?
Just seems odd that in the first few days i was getting higher speeds like 4-8meg and now my downstream is capped at 2meg. Yet at the worst point prior to removing unecesary boxes and extensions i was as low as 500kbps.
On a 2nd note how do i view further connection stats on a BTHub 4 ?
Apologies for the wall of text.

  • Phone line dead, over 2 week wait for possible rep...

    Hi there
I'm posting on behalf of my Mum who cannot post in the forum as her phone line/broadband are currently down.
On Friday 4th January 2013 she noticed the phone was dead, and also that the Internet had stopped working. She rang the usual number BT provides and was told by an Indian chap that there is a fault but there won't be anybody available to look at it until 21st January 2013! She was not provided with any reference numbers to track the case or anything which didn't help.
Bear in mind my Mum is in her late 60's and relies on the phone to keep in contact with relatives, and this is especially important since my Dad died.
I am aware that Openreach are busy yadda yadda, but it is simply not acceptable for her to wait over 2 weeks for someone to at least have a look at it! She has spoken to her neighbours and they were having problems originally which now appear to have been sorted.
I am worried that not only will she have to wait but that she will charged a ridiculous fee for any repairs, even though the fault is not anything that she has caused. Also I am not happy that BT are going to charge for zero service for a two week period, surely this is essentially robbery?
Is there anyway I can get this escalated, and is there anyway I can get the charges she will receive refunded?
I have already contacted someone in the forum via e-mail but I don't think it worked as I was using my brother's mobile at the time.
    Thanks in advance

You're welcome. Also, I understand that your mum can have al her calls diverted to an alternative number and there is some form of compensation available for loss of service....I'll see if I can find the details.....I've seen them somewhere
BT will not pay you compensation they will only refund your line and BB rental if your phone has not been repaired after the end of the 3rd working day also if you have your line diverted you are not entitled to this refund.

    Hi All ,
I was able to get a link using the function module  BBP_PD_SC_GETDETAIL . in the tables E_item  has fields BE_OBJ_ITEM  and the BE_OBJ_ITEM which give the po number and po line item number of each line item .
then i used BBP_BE_PO_GETHISTORY Fm to get the history of the po and read the line item history based on the BE_OBJ_ITEM  no .
    Thanks to all .

  • Need help please with a recent line repair

to cut a very long story i lost my phone line completely 8 days ago i reported it to my ISP and after 5 days i got it back... now they had to replace the cable running from the telegraph pole to my house for some reason thats where the fault was i thought great well done... couldnt wait to get home and get back on the net .... but to my horror it was so slow taking about 1-2 mins for a page to open and its still pritty poor now takes about 30 secs to 1 minute for a web page to open...been intouch with my ISP im having no joy telling me its all fine nothing wrong i done tests and this and that with them and they seem happy with my connection and speed ...but im telling them that before the repair i was getting between 2.8 and 3.2 MB now im lucky to be getting 1 MB ...one guy even said he couldnt understand why im not happy with the service ...now there telling my its my profile through the line has been changed and ill have to wait for 10 days and checking and testing and doing things over and over again and segesting its my computer and set up ect ...
i have been at this for a week now what can i do ??? please someone help is it the new line or is it my ISP ??
but i keep telling them it was all fine before and theres nothing wrong with my set up or my computer because the lap top is the same with the Ethernet cable plugged in so they both cant be the problem ..i have had them both checked at a cost of £65 with a computer tech guy at the shop he said they are clean and healthy systems !

    Hi Tony,
There is a peice of equipment within the exchange which 'optimises' the speed of the broadband based on what the line is capable of. When you have had the recent fault on the line it is likely this equipment picked up the fact that the line wasnt capable of the speeds you were getting and has 'restricted' the speed to give you a stable connection.
The equipment is there to try and offer you a stable connection for your Broadband (better to have a slowwer speed all the time than a super fast speed for 5 minutes of the day).
Unfortunalty this can be 'confused' when you have a fault on the line and reduce your speed to compensate for the bad line. It should automatically 'optomise' the speed over a 10 day period and the problem should sort it self out.
You can request your ISP to check this and make sure your line is set up corrcetly after the recent fault, but to be honest it can easier to wait the 10 days (as it is likely the people you speak to are not fully aware of this part of the line/Broadband or willing to help)
It is also possible that the repair has had a negative affect on what the line can suppport (this can happen but unlikely to decrease your speed by something which you would notice) and the only soultion for this is to speak to your isp (if they are happy with the speed you are now getting you might not have much luck).
It sounds like your ISP aren'y very helpful and have 'fobbed you off' for the ten days with out just telling you why, if it was me at this point I would consider an alternative ISP.
Hope that atleast explains why they told you to wait ten days. :-)

  • BT line has been Stolen?!?

    Hi,
I started a new contract with BT, along with broadband, however, I received an email from BT today saying:
Your service is stopping. This may be because your line's being disconnected, you're moving to a different provider, or there's a terms of service issue.
These services will stop on 28 Mar 2011:
    BT phone line
    Broadband
And these services will also stop:
    Line Rental Saver
This is the first I am hearing about this, I have not had any contact with BT prior to this about ANYTHING!!!
So, first thing I check is my phone/internet working.
    Internet is fine!
Phone has no dial tone, so I ring my number and some random chinese woman picks up, ignores what I'm saying and hangs up. I ring back and after several tries a chinese man picks up, I ask him questions about the line, he has no clue when he got the line or even what the phone number is!! (even gets it wrong trying to guess)
So now I'm stuck trying to ring BT, going through 5minutes of computer choices only to be transfered and then cut off.
    Please someone help!!!!!
