Newsstand: Landscape Cover Preview possible?

Hi,
we are developing a multi-issue Newsstand-App. Our magazine is landscape only. Despite several attempts i can neither make the generic preview cover nor the actual cover show up in landscape-orientation in Newsstand.
Here is a preview of our actual cover in sandbox-mode:
We would like to have the preview cover in landscape (like our generic cover for approval):
(above shown: our generic cover 128 x 96 pixels)
Viewer Builder does not accept this landscape cover, only portrait 96 x 128 Pixel:
Apple does seem to support landscape in iTunesConnect for the generic cover, but Viewer-Builder seems to override those settings.
Furthermore, the actual cover (after you opened your Magazine in Newsstand) is in portrait-mode despite what you upload in iTunes:
Does anyone has a hint or clue how to get the preview right for horizontal orientation only magazines (no portrait view included)?

Thanks so much. I tried it first thing in the morning. Result: if i select Newspaper (Zeitung) instead of magazine, Viewer Bilder does not support a landscape image neither. Here is a screenshot:
Both options Newspaper and Magazine require a portrait image (96 x 128 pixels).
There seems to be a workarund since Newsstand accepts transparency in generic covers. But it is not entirely satisfying:
(above shown: a generic cover with transparency. (96 x 128 pixels, upper part transpararent)
After the shadow is applied in newstand:
The shadow applied by Apple is sort of a bummer for this workaround. And it looks kinda hideous.

How-To update Newsstand Default Cover Image

We would like to update the app cover art image that appears in the iTunes App Store to match the current issue of our publication.
In the past I have been able to do this in ITC without uploading a new app binary or creating a new app version, just by editing the Newsstand default cover image in the app's version information screen on ITC.
This functionality is also mentioned in the Adobe DPS documentation:
"The image you specify in the Newsstand section appears in the Apple App Store and the iTunes Store. Whenever you publish a new folio, you can upload a new image in the Newsstand section of iTunes Connect to update your app’s appearance in the App Store and in iTunes." - Adobe iOS Publishing Companion Guide (Professional Edition)
ITC was recently updated with a new UI, and now it does not seem to be possible to update our cover image. I am not able to remove the current cover art or upload new cover art.
Is anyone else having trouble with this? Is it now necessary to upload a new app binary in order to change the cover art image in the App Store?

my feed, however it hasn't updated on iTunes. Will
it correct itself or is there a way to refresh/update

I have the same issue. Did it ever self correct? I also have never had the more recent episodes show up since the initial feed post.

Approval step without ad-hoc capability. No preview possible

In both SC and PO WF, the approval preview shows the text :" Approval step without ad-hoc capability. No preview possible"
Can you tell me what could be the problem ? .I can approvers determining correctly from the badi . In the preview I can see approvers correctly . this message still shows after approving shopping cart completely also.

   This error will not come until you add Ad-hoc approver at last level..for an example.. there are 5 approvers determined by Badi.. You will get this issue when you add Ad-hoc approver after 5th Level of approver then all approver(Including Ad-approver) approved the SC / PO. Here is the solution for this issue.
write the code in your Badi after you appended the approval_table.
    data : lv_index type i.
    describe table approval_table lines lv_index.
     if actual_approval_index gt lv_index.
     no_further_approval_needed = 'X'.
     endif.

Approval step without adhoc capability. No preview possible

Hi All,
I'm using the standard n-step approval workflow (SRM 5.0) for shopping cart and have implemented the workflow badi. It works good for the approval process.
While the user rejects the cart it works good until the 2nd level of approvers. But from the third level though the cart gets rejected it's throwing me the error
" Approval step without adhoc capability. No preview possible " in the graphical overview.
Can anybody please help me to overcome this issue. Points will be awarded for the solution.

Acrobat 9 pro, no preview possible in outlook 2007

I have acrobat 9 pro and microsoft office outlook 2007.
Noy sure if it was possible before but nowadays whenever I try to preview a pdf document in outlook it gives the following error message:
this file cannot be previewed because of an error with the following previewer:
adobe pdf preview handler
What can i do to solve this?
Any options to be checked?

IBooks with the same tittle and cover, are possible?

I have a free account and I'm planning to upload a free iBook, a short version of my future iBook.
Later, I'll have a paid account and I will want to sell the iBook full version, with the same tittle and cover.
Is it possible?

They are two different accounts - so yes whatever is in your free book - can be delivered to the paid book account.
Obvioulsy if you do that, you may wish to remove teh free book from the iBooks store.
Do this by openeing iTunesConnect > Manage your Books, select the book you want to remove and using Pricing and Territories... removes the book from all 51 stores.
You can never actually delete the book, what you do is "hide" it from the store and it becomes unavavailable online.

Is cover flow possible on Video iPod?

I have a 30Gb Video iPod and am currently running iTunes version 9. On a recent visit to my local Apple Store I noticed that the new iPod Classic is running software that allows cover-flow and all the new/modern viewing options. Is it possible to get this software on my generation of iPod? Knowing Apple, I wold have thought that it would have downloaded automatically on a software update.

For a DPS newsstand app where does the app image displayed on the itunes website come from? Ours is stuck at our first issue's cover image, although we've subsequently published a second issue (folio). Here's Wired's listing, I'm talking about the image of Ed Snowden:

Thanks for your reply - it's not newsstand I mean though (although it's a newsstand app), it's the iTunes online listing. In newsstand we do see the cover of the most recent issue, but our app page in iTunes shows an older cover. The same old image is also used in the app store when searching for apps on the iPad - it's used as the small thumbnail to the right of the app name, author details and star rating.

CS6 Blu-Ray multi-page menus- No preview possible?!?!

I'm fairly confident of the answer here, but just want to make sure that this is Encore CS6's "fault" rather than mine...
Is there really no way to preview/test multi-page menus in CS6 Blu-Ray projects?

You can add multipage menus to your Blu-ray projects. But the preview of Blu-ray features (Multipage menu, pop up menu etc) is not available in Encore as of now. But you can navigate to all the menu pages in the menu editor.
Use these Next and Previous buttons to navigate to the different pages of the menu.

We've got 8 XenServers with NVidia GRID K2 cards in it and using it for our Citrix XenApp/XenDesktops Farms.
Works very good. But we want to do it with Hyper-V.
Is there a plan to do vGPU like XenServer with Hyper-V too?

Windows Server Technical Preview adds support for OpenGL 1-4.4 and OpenCL 1.1. You will need Windows 10 Enterprise Technical Preview for the guest VM and Server Technical Preview with Hyper-V installed on the physical host.

Cover flow only to preview my current playlist?

My music on my iPhone 4 previews as lists on portrait mode based on a playlist fine. It shows all my albums perfectly within that specific playlist folder.
However when I switch over to landscape cover flow mode to view the album covers, it lists out all my albums from this playlist as well as every other song I have synced on the phone.
Is there a way I can preview the same albums from my playlist as landscape cover flow mode?

I hope everybody on all the related threads writes to Apple (http://www.apple.com/feedback/) to point out that it's downright *DANGEROUS* that the only way to skip songs while driving is to reach over and dismount our iPhones so we can turn them to profile view—instead of just a quick tap of the >> button in landscape mode.
Didn't they get the memo that distracted driving kills people?

Problem with preview of iPhoto book cover

A friend has assembled a book in iPhoto and we have previewed it by going to File-Print and choosing to open a pdf in Preview. The pdf preview looks fine except for the front cover in which the image and text appear enlarged and shifted, cutting off the top of the cover photo. Attempts to insert a photo with a white border just give the same result - the picture is cropped and shifted.
We then looked at a previous iPhoto book which David has had successfully printed through the Apple book ordering system. This shows exactly the same fault on the cover when opened as a pdf in Preview.
Can we be confident that the new book will also print correctly despite the incorrect cover preview? David is using iLife 09 on a 24" iMac running OS X 10.5.8.

Firefox will not print in portrait mode; landscape stuck even in preview mode

Firefox will not allow printing of a web page in portrait mode. Even print preview selecting portrait shows only landscape printing preview. Tried uninstalling printer, installing Firefox 4, no luck. Printing in portrait mode works fine using IE8 but I'd rather stay with Firefox.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
