Nids.dll faulting module
I have an application that reads data from our product over Modbus/TCP and publishes datasockets running on a server. We are currently developing in LabVIEW 8.2.1 and building our application, then running the executable on a remote server.
We connect to the datasocket server to read the data & upload it to a database. There are also some datasocket retransmitters (an application we wrote to basically read a given datasocket from one address, and republish it, which generally runs on a gateway server).
When I update my database uploader application, to add in or enable another datasocket to upload, it crashes the first application that talks to the units. It seems like an extremely strange group of events, but it happens consistantly.
We've also had a major crash on the system this morning, with the application falling over, seemingly for no reason. The error reports pointed to nids.dll as the faulting module, with references to 0x00024a14 as the address, and also something called ndisINDSCCWFlexCreate. The version listed in the event message was 4.4.3.1102.
Is there an update that we can apply to this dll to improve it's stability? What could cause this fault?

Adobe Audition App Crash on Startup (windows) ImageRenderer.dll Fault Module
I just installed Audition and when I try to open it I receive an error message that it has stopped working and my options are to close the program or check online for a solution. I checked online and nothing came up. I checked my account and everything is up-to-date. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app but it comes up with the same error code. Can someone please help me to figure this out?
When I view the problem details it says:

Actually Adobe looked into this very thoroughly for me. I was in contact with Durin who passed all of the information I gave them over to their programming department. They then asked for additional information via Email, which is why it's not on this thread. After several back and forth messages they didn't know why it was happening. One thing that they did point out, which I wasn't aware of, is that Audition is one of few Adobe products that requires the SP1 pack for Windows 7. I had just installed 7 on a new system so I hadn't updated to SP1 yet. However, even after I upgraded to SP1 it didn't work. I would recommend checking to be sure you are up to date with Windows, which is why I mentioned this. Maybe it will help you. I know it helped others who had the same issue as we have. I knew that Adobe was working on an update to address so other issues and I was hoping they could figure it out with the update. I installed the update and after that I WAS able to run Audition 2014 after that. So make sure that you do run the update.
I was always able to get Audition CS6 to work without any issues so while Adobe was trying to figure out why it wasn't working for me I just used CS6. If you have the subscription then you can install CS6 via the Creative Center by going to the Apps and down to the Find New Apps section. Just make sure that you have the versions turned on. You will find that you can download and install CS6 from there.
Hope that helps.... -

I build an application exe and then its installer along with run time environment.
The installers instals the application correctly but when I try to execute the application, I get an error that application has crashed and Windows must close it down or search for solutions online with this additional information for the crash.

I tried another machine, 64 bit of course, as I want to deploy my application on a 64bit PC, but still got the same problem.
This other machine was from HP, iCore 3 (4 CPUs) 2.2GHz, 4GB RAM and running Windows Professional 64 bit.
Now as I see it, it could be a Run-time environment mis-match error.
For this I tried installing a 64 bit LVRTE from NI, but still no sucess.
I checked DEP, for all 3 PCs and it was set to the following
Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only (first option).
I am confused. I can not find a solution for this and it is really frustrating. But I am assuming that when I make the installer, the 32-bit Run Time Engine is appened with the installer, as show below
Since from the picture you can see its including the support installers from '\Program Files (x86)\'
The application runs queries to fetch data from database in SQL server 2008, and for that I am using a Microsoft SQL Native Client 2008 R2 64 bit ( this is the only version that installs on either PC, even the one on which I developed my LV Application).
I am not using any driver, only toolkits for reports - and for that I un-checked the "Remove unused polymorphic VI instances" when making the executable, otherwise LV throws up an exception that share variable are not being included.
Yes I did reboot every time after I ran the installation.
Still getting the same error. -
Server manager crashing - Fault Module clr.dll
The Server manager is crashing. As soon as you try to open Server Manager it crashes instantly with the failing module being clr.dll
This seems to relate to .net framework and after looking for a hotfix it says to contact Microsoft (who have been less than helpful so far).
Things i have tried:
= Installing the hotfix which results in an error about the update not being needed or something else on the server stopping the update.
= Uninstalling .net framework for reinstalling, but to uninstall a service/feature it launches into the server manager, so just results in a crash.
= Tried uninstalling via Powershell, but as soon as you open powershell it also crashes!
Resulting error for both powershell and server manager is clr.dll. Basically anything relating to .net framework has stopped working and i need a fix! Thanks! We are referring to Windows Server 2012 R2 (sorry).
You open the Server Manager, it shows launches and then says not responding instantly.
You can either check for solutions or close. The following error messages is contained with it:

I am sure this is related to .Net Framework 4, because my Avast Management console and Powershell have also stopped working and result with the same error when launched. I could be wrong though, but that is my thoughts.... -

Any suggestions on how to correct this? I don't want to go to a full computer reformat if there is a simpler solution since I just did one recently. Is there anything I can update or download as a patch, perhaps to fix this?
Thanks for any advice! I appreciate your time and looking into this.11. Jeff Bellune,

Adobe Community: PPro CS6 Hanging on Startup - Crashes or stops working.
Hi Jeff,
I actually did this yesterday, since I came across the same post. It didn't help. But thanks for suggesting it.
I've taken Premiere Pro CS6 off my computer and will try to reload it today. I am also having issues with the computer itself. If I go away from it and come back in say 10 minutes, everything is frozen. I need to contact HP about this and who knows, maybe Premiere will actually open if I get this other freezing problem taken care of.
I read to fix the HP freeze problem, to shut off the CoolSense feature, and I did, but it's still locking up. I have turned off any sleep, hibernate or other feature like that so it shouldn't be going into any kind of power saver mode. I adjusted my power settings.
I'm still under warranty, so will contact HP. Then I'll get back on the Premiere issue. When it rains it pours, eh? :>) -

I'm not an IT guy so take my assesment with a grain of salt but this is how it's looking to me.
Solution that might work:
Launch into the command prompt as an administrator and run "sfc /scannow". for windows 8

Strangley enough this all happened when I upgraded my iTunes to 8.2.1.6 and ever since then my iTunes and Ipod Touch 1G have not been friends!!!
Please help - I've been racking my brains on this for the past few hours - restarting AMDS services, re-installing iTunes, QuickTime and all things Apple, Resetting my iPod Touch to factory default and still I find no light at the end of the tunnel...
I had a glimmer of hope earlier by unticking ROOT HUB(s) USB Controllers "Allow Computer to turn of this device to save power" but what do ya know iTunes then had an error and kept closing down on me instead!? (iTunes by itself works fine now - with my entire library still intact:)
I've now trawled through every forum that I can to resolve this issue and have to resort to this before I systematically go for a ceremonial burning of my beloved iTouch (it really has become that desperate!)
Please help....?.....
Thanks for anything!
Alex.
I thought I'd put a dayThat I did Katrina,
And it looks like that was the cause! Which I realised as I was writing this post!!! - I removed all traces of FoxyProxy including the Video streamer and normal version (think latter was the culprit!) and all ist gud now! Thanks for the tip off all the same though Katrina
Hopefully this can help others not go through the same as I did!
