NOKIA X2 charging and discharging cycles & update

Being a NOKIA enthusiast, I got the Nokia X2 phone despite the overwhelming negative reviews it was getting. While it does have a number of shortcomings, all nokia bias asid, its a fairly good phone. But the one problem that really irks me is the VERY short battery timing. The phone CHARGES as well as DISCHARGES very quickly.
Each time I use the browser or any other app for a few minutes (usually less than five minutes), a few percent of battery is out. At this rate, my phone does not even last for one whole day.
I want to know if
-1 any of you users have the same problem as I do?
-2 do other X series phones have battery issues -
3 does it have anything to do with the 2.1 update? since the update, some odd feature like opera browser, or messages (which arent even running)  or SCREEN consumes 20-25 percent of the battery.
-4 Is it likely that this issue will be solved in a coming update and whether is it even possible to solve the issue with an update?
Since if it is the processes running unnecessarily that guzzle all the juice then it might be so but if it is a fault in the design then we're probably stuck with this issue for the rest of the Nokia X2 period?

  • Writing LabVIEW measurements of two loops (Charge cycle and discharge cycle) in one file

    Hey,
I was wondering if it is possible to write Labview measurements from two loops (Stacked Sequence Structure) into one file. Currently, it is writing the charging data in one file and discharging data in one file. I have to combine the data everytime to graph the charge and discharge cycles and sometimes there's about 50 cycles and copying and pasting does take up lot of time.

  • Want to build an auto charging and discharging system with DAQ

Hi. I'm a freshman here. Now I have the DAQ-6009 and a labview software and some electronic elements. I wish to build a lithium ion battery cycles testing system (mainly for auto-switching) in order to observe the changes in the electrode. How can I build this charging and discharging system? The details of the battery are attached. Thank you!!

    Hi freshman,
your spec sheet already mentions some resistors for loading and discharging your Li cell.
    - With your USB6009 you can drive some transistors to switch between charging and discharging. You also have some AIs (analog inputs) to measure Li cell voltage as well as currents (when using some reasonable shunt resistors).
    - Make an electronics sketch, read the manual of your USB6009 for it's specs and then grab your breadboard to build your electronics.
    - Look at the examples coming with LabVIEW on how to switch DO signals and how to measure voltages (read the manual on that topics too!)

iphone is diabled- connect to iTunes because i forget passcode.
i cannot connect iTunes because it's always asking to enter passcode on iphone.
So, i cannot make restore my iphone 6+. And then, I cann't erase "device" in icloud.
My iphone is new. No icloud. didn't connect to itune backage.
That's why I try to connect iTunes but it need to enter passcode.
So, my iphone just keep "iphone is disbled-connect to iTunes".

  • Battery BL5C charges and discharges very quickly

    Hi,
I am using Nokia 1650, Battery BL5C. This battery fully charges in less than 1 hour(the messgae saying battery fully charged pops-up). And this, so-called fully charged battery discharges very quickly, in a days time and mobile gets switched off. Mobile is used only for making and receiving calls which are very few and also i usually do not use it for playing games on it. (Point is, its not so heavily used to discharge the battery so quickly.)
Is this battery problem or phone's hardware/software problem? I heard its happening to quite a many cell phones.
The mobile phone I used earlier also had this problem.
    Thanks.

    Try to calibrate it.
    1. Run the battery empty.
    2. Charge it without turning the phone on.
    3. Once battery full, turn it on, and try to charge again until you get the full warning.
    4. Let the battery run till dry again
5.Charge without turning the phone on
    6. Boot then charge to full
Battery should be calibrated by then,.

  • Battery of 5800 charges and discharges very quickl...

Since a few months I have to recharge my 5800 1-2 times a day and the recharge takes only one hour instead of the usual 4 hours.
I replaced the battery (BL-5J) twice with an original Nokia one but a new battery has the same problem.
It seems that the formware after V30 interprets  too early that the battery is fully charged.
I took out the battery and measured the voltage (without load) of the battery:
After the phone says 'Charging complete' : 4.0 V
After the 'Battery low' popup on the phone 3.4 V
Nomially it is rated  3.7 V and at beginning of charging the ammeter shows 800mA, so 1.3 Ah takes at least two hours to charge with constant current and even more with constant voltage.
What can be the problem here ?
    When that is the case

    Try to calibrate it.
    1. Run the battery empty.
    2. Charge it without turning the phone on.
    3. Once battery full, turn it on, and try to charge again until you get the full warning.
    4. Let the battery run till dry again
5.Charge without turning the phone on
    6. Boot then charge to full

  • Curve 9300 takes long to charge and discharge in 6 hours without use.

    Vodacom South Africa
    curve 9300 6.0 with bundle 2949
I got the phone in September. About 4 days ago the battery started to discharge even when I didn't use it. It only hold for about 6 hours. It also takes about an hour and 50 min to charge from 10% to full. I did about 3 battery pulls and it didn't help. I switched the battery with another one. It charges normal in the other phone and my phone does the same thing. I'm using the original charger.
    My apps:
    AccuWeather
    Facebook
    Twitter
    Flashlight
    Google Maps
    Groupon
    Memory Booster
    Opera mini
    Photo Studio
    Telmap5
    TuneWiki
    Vectir Wifi Remote Controle
    Whatsapp
None of these apps is running.

I noticed today that the charge stays normal for about 6 hours. Then before 7 hours it drops from around 65% to red. I also have signal problems. It shows the cross that there is no signal and then suddenly its full again.

  • My battery drained in my iPad 4S and now it won't charge and just cycles through the Apple logo and battery low screens. I can't turn the machine off or on

My battery drained on my iPad 4s and now I can't turn it off or on. It just continues to cycle through the Apple Logo scree for about 10 seconds and than goes blank. Any thoughts would be appreciated

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. my phone gets power off while using.. and it reboot contentiously i did not able to use the mobile... and also my data is on, but the phone does not connect to internet. so i unable to browse.. my inbuild memory is also free (137/480) and i already have micro sd card. please help me to solve this problem..
    Solved!

Your post is hard to read and understand. Nevertheless, here are some thoughts and ideas.....
Powering off or rebooting while in use: Possible battery fault. Possible loss of battery connection with device because of battery movement in compartment, or dirty or corroded contacts. Possible software or setting glitch. Possible device hardware damage or failure. Troubleshoot, rule out one possibility at a time, starting with easy and least expense.
No BlackBerry data service: No data plan, or no service books. Add plan to line if needed. Make sure carrier configured plan correctly. Resend service books.
Out of memory? Too many apps, too much data. Remove as necessary to free up necessary space.

  • Serious Battery Problem: Lack of Charge and Quick Drain

I have a 15" Macbook Pro purchased late July/early August 2008, model number A1260 and has its software completely updated. I use the computer every day and, aside from the occasional cycling after getting the battery charge down to 0%, charge the computer every night.
Recently, my battery seems to be dying a LOT quicker, with the worst case of me leaving my computer to fall asleep with "Better Energy Savings" settings activated at 72% charge and coming back after about 15 minutes of cooking to find that the computer had completely died. After plugging the computer in to a power source, it took 10 minutes for the charge to change from 0% to 1% and, after reaching around 18%, I unplugged the power source and plugged it back in, triggering a change in the battery monitor that made the 18% charge reading jump up to 81%.
According to the System Profiler, my Power statistics are as follows:
    Charge Information:
    Charge remaining (mAh): 3016
    Fully charged: No
    Charging: Yes
    Full charge capacity (mAh): 3512
    Health Information:
    Cycle count: 564
    Condition: Fair
Any ideas on what the problem might be or what I can do to solve it?

    Cycle count: 564
That's over 2 years of charging once every day cycles that you accumulated in just a little over 1 year. Personally, I don't recommend taking the battery down to 0%; it sounds like you have been 'riding it hard'. Batteries don't last forever.
If you purchased AppleCare, you can see what Apple says; without AppleCare, there isn't much you can do but buy a new battery.
    Note that: http://www.apple.com/batteries/notebooks.html says:
For Apple notebooks with removable batteries — such as previous generation MacBook and MacBook Pro computers — a properly maintained battery is designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity at 300 full charge and discharge cycles.
    You are well over that.

  • HP ENVY 15t Quad TouchSmart Battrie stop charging bafter runing HP update.

My batterie was charging fine till yesterday,  but after running an hp update it totely stop charging and is staying at 0%, before yesterday I was getting 4 to 6 hour life on it. I think thgis is my last HP I buy I won over 10 HP computer the past few years but with this issue it is telling me that it made with very cheep componenent now, this laptop is  not even two years old, My first hp ran 10 years without a problem but I am very desaponted in this expansive Envy laptop, even my other new 360 does not hold the charge and I think it will to give up soon. Make me dought that HOP is running a scam whan updating the bio or sofware.

Hi  , Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. It is a great site for information and questions. I have looked into your issue about your HP ENVY TouchSmart 15-j050us Quad Edition Notebook and issues with the battery not charging. Here is a link to calibrate and test the Battery. Calibration should eliminate this issue. Plug the power adapter directly into a functioning wall outlet. Do not plug it into a power strip, surge protector, or secondary power source as this could cause and issue. HP Battery Check in HP System Diagnostics for Windows 8, would give you details of charging and discharging.Testing and Calibrating the battery using HP System Diagnostics in Windows 8. At the starting of the Notebook, Press F2 to select F2 System Diagnostics. Then choose Component Tests, then battery. Please let me know of the test results. Thanks.

  • Battery Cycles and "Sleep Cycles"

Last week my battery died on me, but couldn't get a replacement on my Applecare because i'd gone over the maximum 300 charge cycles. Not a a happy bunny but it's one of them things, and forked out for a new one.
Now, i was wondering if there's such a thing as sleep cycles.
I.eis there a maximum number of times i can put my my macbook to sleep and wake up again?
I'm sure it's a large number and according to the customer service advisor at Apple, 300 for battery charges was a "large number" so i'm thinking, 'am i edging towards this unknown figure and then one day discover my macbook doesn't wake and be told "x number of sleep/wake up is a large number and you've gone over our max threshold and so do one"'
    Many thanks

The issue you experienced with your battery is due to normal wear on lithium ion/polymer batteries. It's not that Apple set an arbitrary number of cycles and said "We won't replace it after that". The primary measure of the life for a lithium ion/polymer battery is measured in cycles. The actual number of cycles can vary based on a number of factors (the newer machines with built in batteries are spec'd at 1000 cycles). After you reach that level, battery performance will slowly degrade... but it is possible to just experience flaky battery behavior at any point after the recommended cycle cap. You can prolong the life of your battery by limiting how often you run the machine using the battery. The more you can run the machine while plugged in, the longer the battery will last you. A battery cycle is a measurement for a full charge and discharge of a battery. Rechargeable batteries have a limited number of times that you can charge/recharge them. You just used it up.

  • Charging and discharging multiple capacitors

    Hello,
We have a PXI system running LabVIEW 8.5 on Win XP.  We want to charge and discharge a bank of capacitors in a very controlled manner.  I was wondering if anyone else has performed a similar task and has some examples of the code to control a capacitor system.  We have a PXI-6225 DAQ card for our analog input from the V and I sensors, and a PXI-2567 relay output card to control the charge and discharge of the cap bank.
    Thanks,
    Munk

    Hi Munk,
It sounds like you have all of the hardware you need to build this application. If you need a good place to start, I would recommend using either the DAQ Assistant or the DAQmx examples to acquire data from your sensors. The Example Finder can be accessed through the LabVIEW Help menu. The DAQmx examples can be found browsing by task under Hardware Input and Output » DAQmx. The switching can also be programmed using DAQmx. A good example demonstrating the functions being used can be found along with the DAQmx examples under Switching. It seems that you will need to use one channel of the relay to connect the source to your capacitor and another channel of the relay to connect your capacitor to a resistor. These relays can be programmed to open or close whenever you want. It can be dependent on time or the sensor measurements.
