Officejet 7500A scan

Hi
My Officejet 7500A AIO doesn't scan at present. Starting a scan, the message appear that there is a scan in progress, which isn't!
Is there a way to reset the scan functions or solve the problem otherwise? Can't find a clue in the User Manual.
Kind regards,
Coert

  • Officejet 7500A installing drivers, missing dll file, can't scan

I have a new laptop with Windows 7 Professional, using first the cd, I installed drivers to use my Officejet 7500a on my wireless network, during installation it said it could not find file HPWia2_OJ7500_E910.dll and asked if I wanted to continue.  I did and in the end could not set up the scanner.  So per HP website and uninstalled all software and reinstalled, this time from the HP site.  Same exact thing occurred.  Again, worked through the process and uninstalled and reinstalled drivers again, same problem, "can't find file".  Scanner is the one thing that doesn't work.  Printer appears to work fine but I really need to scan as well.  Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I'm going to give you a Microsoft link that will show you how to do a clean boot in to the computer.  Once the clean boot is finished and the computer is restarted, please attempt to reinstall the software and drivers for the printer.
Here is the link for the instructions on How to perform a clean boot in Windows.

  • Officejet 7500A Copy/Scan Black line issue

Officejet 7500A. When coping or scanning thru the feeder, the copy or scan has a vertical line running from the top to the bottom, near the center. When scans or copies are made from the flatbed, no such line appears. We have cleaned the rollers and the separator, but we still get this line down the center. There is also no line when we just print from the computer...please advise as this is a brand new computer.

  • HP Officejet 7500a wont print

    My name is Paul,
For some reason I have two computers. One has windows 8 and it prints with my officejet 7500a everytime. But I have a laptop with windows 7 and I have reinstalled the driver like four times. It seems to print at first but later on the status never changes and it never prints, can you help me out?
    Thanks and God bless...

Sorry that you are having a problem printing with the Windows 7.
How are you connected to it, USB or wireless?
    I may be losing connection.
Try to run the print and scan doctor and check the results.

  • Officejet 7500A Wide Format printer connects intermittently to computer through wireless network

I have a recently purchased Officejet 7500A printer that I would like to use wirelessly.  I have an Apple wireless router and am running Windows 7 on my computer.  The printer and computers individually connect to the network and there are no issues with the router.  The issue is with the connection between the computer and printer.  I can print things from my computer by emailing the file to the printer, but only sometimes does it work through directly printing from the software.  I have tried to scan from my computer and from the printer, but get the same error message from both that there is no communication between the printer and computer.  I suspect it is a firewall issue, but am not sure how to modify the settings to allow this communication to occur.  I have the windows firewall and have Advanced System Protector software, but have disabled the windows shield in that software.  Help?

So do you have multiple anti-virus systems installed on your PC (even if they are not all active)?  If so, this can certainly lead to bizarre behavior.
I would pick one system, uninstall others using their own unistallers (restarting the PC after every uninstall).
With the one you chose to have  on your system, make sure it is updated to the latest rev.
Say thanks by clicking "Kudos" "thumbs up" in the post that helped you.

  • HP officejet 7500a

Currently wireless connection of printer to MacPro OSX 10.6.8 and using HP loaded software notated for Mac OSX v 10.5 , v 10.6 Version 12. I wish to upgrade my Apple laptop to OSX Yosemite 10.10. The question is, will my current HP printer software still work and if not what version , if any, of HP software do I need to install.

    Hello @RayDaltrey,
I understand that you're looking to upgrade your Mac OS X 10.6 Operating System to the latest Mac OS X 10.10 Operating System but you want to ensure that your HP Officejet 7500A Wide Format e-All-in-One Printer will continue working for you. I would like to assist you today with this inquiry. Due to the age of your HP Officejet printer HP has not released a downloadable Full Feature Software and Driver package since Mac OS X 10.8. However, there is an HP Driver package available through Apple that provides print and scan ability for your printer. Therefore, you should have no issues using your All-in-One Officejet on the latest Operating System.
If you go for the upgrade don't uninstall your printer first. Keep everything installed if possible and once the upgrade to Mac OS X 10.10 is complete test your HP Officejet. If your machine no longer works than you can follow the steps to manually download and install the HP Driver package that is available through Apple.
Should you require additional guidance on this, please refer to my post on the following thread:

  • Officejet 7500A display screen showing adverts

I have an Officejet 7500A Wide Format printer. I've had it for around 3 years and recently the display screen has started showing adverts for the printer (about its economy, ink, paper, etc.). This is a bit pointless seeing as I already have the printer but more to the point the cycling colours and words are in my line of sight and are irritating and I can't get rid of them. There don't seem to be any options anywhere to turn them on or off.
I used to just see the Home Screen with four static icons for Copy, Fax, Scan and Apps. The only thing I think I have done differently recently is installed the Full Feature Driver. I had to do this because with the basic driver I kept having to unistall and reinstall the printer. It's connected to my laptop via WiFi by IP Address.
Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the adverts and go back to the nice comforting Home Screen?

This sounds like the pritner has somehow gotten into the "store demo" mode.  I would suggest pulling the power plug for a minute, then plug back in and turn the printer back on.

  • Can you see ink levels from Eprint center for the OfficeJet 7500A/E910

Can You monitor ink levels from eprint center for the OfficeJet 7500A/E910?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    Hello Raimonds,
To answer your question, you are not able to check your ink levels from ePrint Center. The only thing that you can do in ePrint Center is monitor the status of your recent print jobs that you send via ePrint and monitor the status of connection of your printer to the ePrint Servers.

  • HP Officejet 7500A Wide Format - Can't reset the paper size - won't print!!!

I have a new HP Officejet 7500A Wide Format All-in-one printer.  I love it and have had no problems with it...until now.  The other day I went into Photoshop and printed a 4x6 photo and now my printer will not allow me to print on 8.5X11.  I have checked the paper size in Photoshop, Word, Excel, Acrobat...everything I used that day, but it all shows "letter" size paper in the properties.  I also checked the printer utilities...letter size paper is selected.
But when I try to print, the printer and the computer both give me a "paper mismatch" error and my only option is to change the paper or cancel.  I went back into photoshop again and was able to print a 4x6 photo again - once I put in 4x6 paper - but then I changed it back to an 8.5X11 size photo sheet and tried to print on letter size paper and..."paper mismatch'.
I changed the printer back to factory settings.  Nothing.  I just had to reset up my printer on my network, but it still won't print.  I tried to re-install the printer software from the installation disk, but it won't install.  It says "already installed".
HELP!!!!!!  I honestly don't know what to do at this point!!!!!
    Thanks in advance!!

I have struggled with a similer problem with my new 7500A.  I've done all the things you did. I made sure I had all updates and the firm ware update. I spent time on the phone with a lady who meant well but clearly didn't know the product. I had a difficult time communicating with her. Her accent was in the way. This morning I realy didn't want to face another day of this struggle.  As I walked into my studio I had a idea. Instead of going to the computer to try to solve my problem through menues, HP Customer Service and or communities. I went dirrectly to the printer.  I turned the printer on, the little screen on the printer lit up I touched the arrow to go to the next screen of menus. I touched "Set Up"  then scrolled down through the choices. I picked "Preferences". At the bottom of the list was.............. Media Width/Type Sensing (ON)............I promptly turned it (OFF) ......................I am printing as I was told I would be able to do prior to buying. I am not getting that anoying screen  "Paper Mismatch" . The printer is printing now on my 12 x 12 stock regardless of the type. ie: cardstock, plain paper, colored paper, construction paper. I hope this helps some of you out there.  Clearly HP was of "NO" help to me. I have read that others are installing HP 7000 drivers etc.  I've solved the problem without going to those lengths, no thanks to HP.

  • How do I get my Macbook Pro to print with HP Officejet 7500a Wide Format printer

My Macbook Pro (Retina Display) seems to have a problem to print with the HP Officejet 7500a - Wide Format printer - Is it the OS X 10.10.2 causing the problem. It works when connected to the USB cable - but wireless print is a problem.

let's see-on printer control panel, you've pressed the right arrow, then "network" then "wireless" then "wireless setup wizard" then OK,
and the wireless capability has been turned on, yes? (I didn't know you could turn it off) -either press the wireless button, or press setup on the printer's control panel, then wireless menu, then touch "On". A blue light should be lit up.
Failing that, restart the wireless components-turn off router, then printer, then turn on router and then turn on printer.  dunno what else to suggest
apparently, you can do a wireless test from the printer-right arrow, then network, then wireless, then wireless network test.. .
also see if there are any updates for your printer-there has been a firmware update for this printer from  2012-try that, there is also a software update for 10.10 apparently it adds direct wireless printing...

Hello pf1tarac, I don't believe that is possible. In order to create a PDF file, you would need Adobe Acrobat or some other PDF compatible product to save a scan to the PDF format.
There are some free PDF programs available.  Here  is a link to one of them.
