HP Officejet 7500A problem

my problem with HP Officejet 7500A is that when one of the ink catridges become empty the printer does not stop printing which causes a waste in paper and ink? So is there a way to make the printer to stop printing when one of the ink catridges become empty.

Hello Steve,
Please refer to the attachment to check the settings in your driver.
You have to go to Advanced and do the selection for Borderless for A3 paper as shown.
Hope this helps.

  • Officejet 7500A installing drivers, missing dll file, can't scan

I have a new laptop with Windows 7 Professional, using first the cd, I installed drivers to use my Officejet 7500a on my wireless network, during installation it said it could not find file HPWia2_OJ7500_E910.dll and asked if I wanted to continue.  I did and in the end could not set up the scanner.  So per HP website and uninstalled all software and reinstalled, this time from the HP site.  Same exact thing occurred.  Again, worked through the process and uninstalled and reinstalled drivers again, same problem, "can't find file".  Scanner is the one thing that doesn't work.  Printer appears to work fine but I really need to scan as well.  Thank you in advance for your assistance.

    Hello aaatexas,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having an issue with installing the printer.
I'm going to give you a Microsoft link that will show you how to do a clean boot in to the computer.  Once the clean boot is finished and the computer is restarted, please attempt to reinstall the software and drivers for the printer.
Here is the link for the instructions on How to perform a clean boot in Windows.
Please feel free to write me back if you have any other questions or concerns.

  • HP Officejet 7500A Wide Format - Can't reset the paper size - won't print!!!

I have a new HP Officejet 7500A Wide Format All-in-one printer.  I love it and have had no problems with it...until now.  The other day I went into Photoshop and printed a 4x6 photo and now my printer will not allow me to print on 8.5X11.  I have checked the paper size in Photoshop, Word, Excel, Acrobat...everything I used that day, but it all shows "letter" size paper in the properties.  I also checked the printer utilities...letter size paper is selected.
But when I try to print, the printer and the computer both give me a "paper mismatch" error and my only option is to change the paper or cancel.  I went back into photoshop again and was able to print a 4x6 photo again - once I put in 4x6 paper - but then I changed it back to an 8.5X11 size photo sheet and tried to print on letter size paper and..."paper mismatch'.
I changed the printer back to factory settings.  Nothing.  I just had to reset up my printer on my network, but it still won't print.  I tried to re-install the printer software from the installation disk, but it won't install.  It says "already installed".
HELP!!!!!!  I honestly don't know what to do at this point!!!!!
    Thanks in advance!!

I have struggled with a similer problem with my new 7500A.  I've done all the things you did. I made sure I had all updates and the firm ware update. I spent time on the phone with a lady who meant well but clearly didn't know the product. I had a difficult time communicating with her. Her accent was in the way. This morning I realy didn't want to face another day of this struggle.  As I walked into my studio I had a idea. Instead of going to the computer to try to solve my problem through menues, HP Customer Service and or communities. I went dirrectly to the printer.  I turned the printer on, the little screen on the printer lit up I touched the arrow to go to the next screen of menus. I touched "Set Up"  then scrolled down through the choices. I picked "Preferences". At the bottom of the list was.............. Media Width/Type Sensing (ON)............I promptly turned it (OFF) ......................I am printing as I was told I would be able to do prior to buying. I am not getting that anoying screen  "Paper Mismatch" . The printer is printing now on my 12 x 12 stock regardless of the type. ie: cardstock, plain paper, colored paper, construction paper. I hope this helps some of you out there.  Clearly HP was of "NO" help to me. I have read that others are installing HP 7000 drivers etc.  I've solved the problem without going to those lengths, no thanks to HP.

  • How do I get my Macbook Pro to print with HP Officejet 7500a Wide Format printer

My Macbook Pro (Retina Display) seems to have a problem to print with the HP Officejet 7500a - Wide Format printer - Is it the OS X 10.10.2 causing the problem. It works when connected to the USB cable - but wireless print is a problem.

let's see-on printer control panel, you've pressed the right arrow, then "network" then "wireless" then "wireless setup wizard" then OK,
and the wireless capability has been turned on, yes? (I didn't know you could turn it off) -either press the wireless button, or press setup on the printer's control panel, then wireless menu, then touch "On". A blue light should be lit up.
Failing that, restart the wireless components-turn off router, then printer, then turn on router and then turn on printer.  dunno what else to suggest
apparently, you can do a wireless test from the printer-right arrow, then network, then wireless, then wireless network test.. .
also see if there are any updates for your printer-there has been a firmware update for this printer from  2012-try that, there is also a software update for 10.10 apparently it adds direct wireless printing...

  • HP Officejet 7500a wont print

    My name is Paul,
For some reason I have two computers. One has windows 8 and it prints with my officejet 7500a everytime. But I have a laptop with windows 7 and I have reinstalled the driver like four times. It seems to print at first but later on the status never changes and it never prints, can you help me out?
    Thanks and God bless...

Sorry that you are having a problem printing with the Windows 7.
How are you connected to it, USB or wireless?
    I may be losing connection.
Try to run the print and scan doctor and check the results.

I have just upgraded to PS CS6 from CS5. I have two printers, Canon Pro 9000 and an HP Officejet 7500A. When I attempt to print to the HP CS6 crashes. Printing to the Canon is fine. • Officejet 7500A...how do I print mirror image?

how do I print mirror image on officejet 7500A?

    HI,
Not sure if its in the driver, most brands a removing these options from the driver (or not including them anymore) because of the fact that most picture software programs have these options built in themselves. For example in the standard windows program paint, the option Flip horizontaly will allow you to print a mirror image..

  • 0X610000F6 error - brand new Officejet 7500A

Just got Officejet 7500A today & bee trying for the past 1 hour trying to install it! The stupid thing is full of error codes all the time. Firstly I got an error of a paper jam & it told me I had to take out the back & remove any paper jams then lift up the top left section & take out any jams. How can there be jams on a BRAND NEW machine just out of the box???
After restarting the machine again, before getting to installing any ink cartridges I get a 0X610000F6 error saying "Refer to Printer Documentation" but there is no documentation I can find with any error codes. After restarting the machine a few times, I get to install the ink cartridges. Next error I get now is an "Ink System Failure" 0xc19A0041. I turned off the machine, took out the cartridges and put them back in, then started the machine.
I now keep getting the 0X610000F6 error when I'm trying to continue with the setup. I tried everything written here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=uk&lc=en&docname=c02282370 except "Service the All-in-One".
**bleep** is wrong with this HP & how do I fix it??? I've got a brand new machine full of errors!

    Hello bbi1,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having an issue with the error code 0X610000F6.
I also see that you have already gone through a document that troubleshoots this issue.
I have a few steps that we can try in the attempt to troubleshoot this issue.
First off, please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
I also have a document that you can try that deals with a 'Problem with Printhead,' 'Printer Failure,' 'Ink System Failure,' or a '0x...' or a 'C2...' Error ....
If the troubleshooting does not help resolve your issue, I would then suggest calling HP's Technical Support to see about further options for you. If you are calling within North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, click here: click here.

  • OfficeJet 7500A C5 envelope

We received an OfficeJet 7500A today and it seems to be impossible to print C5 envelopes. C6 and many japanese sizes are available, but no C5 european standard size. Is there any way to define this size? We have downloaded the latest firmware and drivers. Running on a Windows 7 64 bit machine.
    Any suggestions appreciated!
    Thanks in advance

Hi, The same thing happened to me. I have been on days trying to sort out this problem and it seams that we are unable to. HP designed these printers in America and they seam to have fogotton that in Europe we use European paper sizes. They are selling tens of thousands of these machines to Europeans, we are able to print letters but we can't print the envelopes to put the letters into so we can post them, even if we use the most common size DL and and/or the second most common size C5. No one at HP Europe or even HP America seam bothered about this, and they just keep selling them even though they don't work here in Europe. One HP employee suggested it was my fault for not reading the full spec sheet before buying the machine and another siggested buying a different make of printer, I was quite shocked at this. They won't do a re-call, they won't put a halt on selling them while they resolve this problem and they seam unwilling to write the software for a updated driver to fix the problem. The machine is capable it's just the way they forgot about the Europeans when putting the driver software together and so far no one at HP gives is concerned about this. We the coustomers are left with these printers we are unable to use, they are selling more and they don't give a dam. Their should be a law against this sort of behaviour. Basacally so far, it looks live if we have bought one of these HP printers that dont have the software for European paper size we are are all screwed. Sorry.

  • Officejet 7500A Copy/Scan Black line issue

Officejet 7500A. When coping or scanning thru the feeder, the copy or scan has a vertical line running from the top to the bottom, near the center. When scans or copies are made from the flatbed, no such line appears. We have cleaned the rollers and the separator, but we still get this line down the center. There is also no line when we just print from the computer...please advise as this is a brand new computer.

  • Officejet 7500A display screen showing adverts

I have an Officejet 7500A Wide Format printer. I've had it for around 3 years and recently the display screen has started showing adverts for the printer (about its economy, ink, paper, etc.). This is a bit pointless seeing as I already have the printer but more to the point the cycling colours and words are in my line of sight and are irritating and I can't get rid of them. There don't seem to be any options anywhere to turn them on or off.
I used to just see the Home Screen with four static icons for Copy, Fax, Scan and Apps. The only thing I think I have done differently recently is installed the Full Feature Driver. I had to do this because with the basic driver I kept having to unistall and reinstall the printer. It's connected to my laptop via WiFi by IP Address.
Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the adverts and go back to the nice comforting Home Screen?

This sounds like the pritner has somehow gotten into the "store demo" mode.  I would suggest pulling the power plug for a minute, then plug back in and turn the printer back on.

  • Can you see ink levels from Eprint center for the OfficeJet 7500A/E910

Can You monitor ink levels from eprint center for the OfficeJet 7500A/E910?
    This question was solved.

    Hello Raimonds,
To answer your question, you are not able to check your ink levels from ePrint Center. The only thing that you can do in ePrint Center is monitor the status of your recent print jobs that you send via ePrint and monitor the status of connection of your printer to the ePrint Servers.

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?
