Offline Printer

I keep getting that my printer is offline...my printer passed all of the tests that I run. How do I get my printer to go online??

I understand that the your printer is showing printer offline.
To be able to assist you better I will need the following information.
Which printer do you have?
Is the printer setup on usb, ethernet or wireless?
If it is setup by ethernet or wireless do you have a valid ip address on the printer?
Check ip address: touch setup wrench on the printer, select  network, select view network settings.
I will be able to assist you with the information needed.

  • TURBOTAX 2014 CD DOES NOT PERMIT OFFLINE PRINT OR SAVE TO PDF.  YOU CAN ONLY SAVE TO PDF OR PRINT IF ONLINE.  BIG SECURITY ISSUE.  INTUIT IN WSJ ARTICLE BLAMES APPLE, SAYING APP STORE SOFTWARE RESULTED IN THIS.  TRUE?

    Starting this year, Turbotax CD/download versions will not permit people to print tax forms when offline. If you try to print while not connected to the Internet, you receive the warning “There was a problem connecting to Intuit’s Secure Print Service.  Please check your Internet connection or try again later.”  Indeed, Paragraph 9 of the Intuit Software End User License Agreement states:  "You may save your return as a PDF file and understand it may be processed on Intuit servers, not as part of the Software."
    Even if you wish to protect your data by not exposing it to the Internet, Turbotax will not let you without sharing your entire return first with them.  They prohibit you from only printing locally on home, cable-connected printers.
    The result of this is that people who tried to be safe by never going online with tax data, are this year being forced by Intuit software to expose all their sensitive tax information files to the Internet and Intuit print server, even though they do not wish to. Turbotax is putting you at risk.
    On Feb 19 the Wall Street Journal quoted an Intuit spokesperson blaming Apple:  According to Julie Miller, an Intuit spokeswoman, TurboTax made the change “because the Mac product requires a special, third-party code library to support offline printing.” And she says, “based on Apple App Store guidelines, we could no longer distribute the third-party library with our software.”   She said the change in the TurboTax Mac software was first made for 2013 tax returns, but last year customers had the option of printing returns without being connected to the Internet.
    So is Apple to blame that I now have to expose my sensitive tax data to Intuit just to be allowed to save to PDF on my hard disk?  And it's all Apple's fault?
    Can anyone clarify this?

    Thank you for this an the other posts.  Particularly for Barney,
    I have just discovered that Turbotax actually permits you to print (and save to PDF) documents from the Help
    Center built into the program, even when you are OFFLINE.  Works just like normal printing is supposed to.  It just won't let you print actual tax forms. So I guess they were willing to violate Apple’s rules when you print information from their help center offline, but you just can't do the same with your own tax forms.  Clearly this shows that what Intuit told Forbes was a fabrication.
    They do in fact have the proper code in the program for printing and saving to PDF.  They just deny you usage of that code for printing your tax returns, which they want to copy.  I don’t think there can be any doubt about what they are doing.  Surely they are not deceiving apple by allowing the limited print function?
    We can only hope that a brave journalist will challenge them on this, since Intuit will not respond to customers.
    Thank you for any views on this points.

  • How do I go from offline printer to on line

    how do I get the printer on line vs offline (now)?

    For general purposes this "Printer is Offline" document may help:

    However, if that does not help, write back but include printer model, USB vs wireless, computer operating system, and if it is a new or continuing problem.

  • Error-Offline Printer

    Getting a error-offline message to my laptop (WiFi) I have powered down the host computer and printer 2570 series trying to reset w/ no luck. Up Dates from HP are current.

    What are you trying to print and what is your operating system on the computer you are using? Does it take a long time to print from your computer or the iPad? Have you had this issue for long?
    For now I am going to recommend we remove and reinstall the software onto your computer as a preliminary step.
    First if you use a USB cord, make sure to remove it. Do not plug it back in until the software directs you to. Then go through the Devices and Printers, Programs and Features and Device Manager folders and insure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. Then as directed, restart the computer.
    In the START menu type "%temp%" and press ENTER. Here I want you to press Ctrl+A and hit DELETE. Some of the files will not allow you to delete them, skip those files and delete the majority that allows it.
    Then follow this link to download the full feature software and drivers for the printer:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=4323648
    Install that and let me know the result!

  • Offline printer now gone!

    My HP all-in-one printer suddenly is not recognized. I tried everything, turning on and off the power, swithcing USB cables, checking the USB port, etc. Message kept reading Printer Offline. Then I read about resetting the printer, now its gone altogether. Computer just does not see it. This all happened after a bad storm when my internet ADSL service (same line as the printer/fax) was down. I even downloaded a new driver from the HP site. But the printer works - I can copy on it but no function from the computer. HELP?????

    ark-1 wrote:

    Do you mean "resetting the print system?" If so, that deletes all the printers. What happens if you add the printer again with AddPrinter? Or have you already tried that?
    Hope this helps.

  • Wireless MacBook Pro to wired C7280: Deleted offline printer queue, can't add printer again

    I posted about a year and a half ago about connectivity problems with our C7280 all-in-one, and PrintDoc gave me some great suggestions to get me back on line again--thanks again!
    I've had problems off-and-on again, but I've been able to get back again until now, and I can't get the usual tricks to work.
    Here's our set-up:
    Printer:  Photosmart C7280 All-in-One, connected to network via Ethernet, static IP address 192.168.1.200 (confirmed via printer's display as well as the printer's web page)
    Router:  Verizon/Actiontec MI424-WR (Verizon FiOS) with
    * Ethernet ports
    * 802.11b and 11g with WPA encryption
    My Laptop:  MacBook Pro, Mac OS 10.6.8, wireless connection
    Every now and then, the printer goes off-line.  (Our cordless phones and our WiFi occasionally hit the same channels, and our printer hiccups seem to happen after WiFi hiccups.  My theory is that a WiFi hiccup somehow screws up the print queues, possibly if it happens in the middle of a print job.  Haven't been able to prove it, though.)  I'm usually able to fix it by cycling power on the printer and/or resetting the print system (by right-clicking the list of printers in the Print & Fax window).
    That's not working this time.  I reset the print system, but when I try to add a printer, I don't see my printer in the Add Printer dialog.
    I've tried various combinations of:
    Cycling power on the printer (sometimes by cycling the power button off and on, sometimes by unplugging the power cord while powered on, and sometimes by unplugging the power cord while powered off)
    Resetting the print system again (sometimes by itself, sometimes followed by log off/on, sometimes followed by reboot)
    Powering down the Mac, then the printer, then the router, then powering them back up in reverse order.
    But I still can't see my printer in the Add Printer dialog.
    Somewhere along the way, I tried following the Mac OS 10.6-10.7 instructions from here:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02205477&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=3204785#N86...
    ...but Solution 1 assumes that the printer queue is still there; unfortunately, I'd already reset the print system by then.
    Since I'm using OS 10.6 which already has the printer drivers built in, I'm assuming that I can't uninstall and reinstall the printer drivers as in older versions of Mac OS X.  (Er, right?)
    The long-term solution (if my theory is right) is to get cordless phones that don't use the WiFi frequencies :-)  In the meantime, are there any tricks I'm missing?

    Today I tried to "add printer" again...and lo and behold, there it was!
    I wish I could tell you what fixed the problem, but I haven't got a clue.

  • HP 5530 wireless printer shows offline but it is turned on, I use a router

    My printer shows to be offline, sometimes it prints pages at random, which I have no idea why or what they are about, kinda scary, It is turned on and the wirelss light is not blinking, but shows offline when i try to prine from my laptop.Its a HP 5530 all in one,windows 8

    Hello @tiogalady,
    Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
    I would like to assist you today with resolving the 'offline' issues that you're experiencing when trying to print from your Windows 8 computer to your wirelessly connected HP ENVY 5530 e-All-in-One Printer. Now, recently Microsoft has released a Hotfix for the Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 Operating Systems to 'fix' offline printing issues as Microsoft recognizes this as an issue with their latest Operating System. Therefore, to start, I am going to have you run the Hotfix to see if this resolves the printing issues.
    Can I please have you click here to access the Hotfix page. Once the website opens select the 'Hotfix Download Available' button. Allow the Hotfix to run. Please follow any onscreen steps to install the Hotfix.
    Once the fix has completed, please test printing again. Should the Offline issue persist there is an additional driver fix that I may need to walk you through. Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. Good luck!

  • HP Photosmart 7515 wireless printer reverts to Offline, won't print until turned off and on again.

    All of the software is installed and it worked without any problem.  The problem appears to occur after the computer has gone into standby.  The only way I can get anything to print is to turn it off the printer and then turn it back on again.  The troubleshooter simply tells me that the printer appears to be off (which it isn't) and tells me to turn it on.  Is there any way to bring an offline printer back online without either rebooting the whole system or turning the printer off and on again? Needless to say, this is very annoying. I have never had this problem with any other printer.

    CampValdez, did you ever solve your problem?  I'm having a similar problem with a Photosmart 7525.  I just returned a 7510 because of the same problem and now the 7525 won't work.  I've spent the better part of 3 days on the phone with HP tech support to no avail and I'm ready to take the 7525 back.  The software and printer have been reinstalled many times.  I've changed the printer IP to a static IP.  I've removed my Norton security software, I've tried to set it up on another computer, I've changed the channel on the router to channel 11 and nothing works for more than 10 minutes.  The blue light on the printer indicating that it is on the network always is steady blue.  I can get it to work by pressing the wireless symbol and then turning off the wireless and then turning it back on.  When it's working I can access the printer from my web browser with the printer's IP.  It seems once it goes to sleep, I cannot access the printer from the browser.  Touching the screen and waking up the printer does not restore the communication between the computer and the printer.  Since this problem persists with two printers and two different computers, I'm suspecting a router setting but I'm stumped.   If you find your solution, I bet it's the same problem I'm having.   It's unbelieveable that HP tech support seems clueless.  A search shows this is not an uncommon problem.

  • C7000 wireless printing set up says offline

    I have my existing Phontosmart C7200, I have it connected to my network, but when I actually go to print from my laptops it says printer offline??
    What do I need to do to complete this set up?

    To turn on wireless printer you need to check the printer cables and make sure that all connections are secure. Check whether any wireless printer cable is disconnected since this is the most common cause of offline printer cable. The second reason to solve this issue is you just turn off your wireless printer and wait for one or two minutes and turn it back on; this problem happens because of a certain glitch in your wireless network.

  • Windows 2008 R2 - Printer "Offline" SNMP issue.

    The issue:
    Not unique from what I have read in these forums and elsewhere around the globe.  But essentially, I have printers that go "offline" and only come back into life if I disable SNMP per printer port and therefore lose any "real" status messages.
    Some Environmental Information:
    - The printers and the print server are on the same logical subnet
    - There is no filtering/Firewall between the printers and the print server and not relevant given they are on the same logical subnet.
    - The firewall is disabled on the Print Server
    - The SNMP community string(s) configured on the printer matches that of the print server port
    - The manufacturing model of the printer varies.  Various print vendor makes and models, of the 5-6 affected devices, all of them are different.
    The following information relates to the newest printer a Ricoh Aficio MP C4501, manufactured and released in 2011 which is one of the models that has the issue
    - The Printer's NIC firmware is up to date (applied myself as I work for this particular print vendor) and is fully compliant with SNMP V1, V2 and V3 and supports all relevant MIBs
    - When the issue occurs, I can access the printer's web configuration page
    - When the issue occurs, I can ping the printer device showing "offline" on the print server
    - When the issue occurs, I can interrogate the printer device using an SNMP browser (many different types) on SNMP V1, V2 and V3 without issue
    - When the issue occurs, I can monitor the device and get detailed status updates using SNMP V1, V2 and V3 in the print vendors own device management application as well as Spiceworks without issue
    Note:
    I am quite confident that there is not a communication issue with SNMP to/from the device.
    I am quite confident that there is not an issue with the printers NIC in terms of firmware
    I can get around this by disabling SNMP per port, but this is _NOT_ a fix because "actual" status' other than "online" are never reported.
    Summary:
    I'm going out on a limb here and suspecting that the root cause is not the device, firmware or print driver, but in fact something within Windows Server Print Subsystem.  To that end and given there has been a huge amount of discussion on this issue,
    is there any progress or even acknowledgement that this _MIGHT_ be a problem that Microsoft need to address?
    --------------------------- ASE, CNE, CCNP, CLP, MCSE --------------------------

    Hi Alan,
    Lately I experienced this "printer-offline-problem" on my
    Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard, Service Pack 1 . I found this thread on the internet and probably tried out everthing mentioned here. But nothing helped in my case. When I deleted and recreated this printer, it was in status Ready and was working as
    long there was no restart of the print spooler service. Then it switched to offline and stopped working.
    So I did open a support case at Microsoft as recommended by you.
    It didn't help to install the latest hot fixes or to delete third party language monitors from the registry. What did help, I found out two weeks ago and I want to share it here for other people having the same problem.
    1. Delete the "Offline"-printer and its port.
    2. Search the Registry for the printer name. You might find these keys:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Hardware Profiles\0001\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers\***problemprinter***]
    "PrinterOnLine"=dword:00000000
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Hardware Profiles\Current\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers\***problemprinter***]"PrinterOnLine"=dword:00000000
    3. Recreate this printer - done!
    4. Test it by restarting the print spooler service - if you like.
    If you cannot delete the printer, because you don't want to lose the print jobs in the queue, try to find the above mentioned registry keys and delete them. Then restart the print spooler service. The printer will
    switch to Ready and start printing.
    Microsoft then confirmed they have comparable cases like this in their database, but no information why there are these registry keys and why they arouse this problem.

  • HP Deskjet 2540 Series All in One Printer Offline

    Ok so I have had this problem for what seems like forever now. This has happened multiple times, and I always have had to use online HP tech support to fix it, but this time I don't seem to have that option. My printer says that the status is offline, and I really need to print something. I have gone through the forums, tries multiple different answers that multiple people say will work, and nothing has worked so far.

    HI , Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I understand that you're having issues with your HP Deskjet 2540 Printer going offline. I would like to look into this with you. There are many reasons why this might be happening, is your printer connected wirelessly? Important! Do you turn your printer off between uses? If your printer is connected wirelessly, I recommend you always leave it on so it stays connected to your wireless network. Otherwise, it will lose the wireless network configuration and will need to be setup again and again. To determine which of these documents is suited to the problem, it will depend on whether your wireless light is blinking or is solid. If your wireless light is blinking, then it is no longer on the wireless network. Follow this guide, HP Deskjet 2540 and HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2540 All-in-One Printer Series - Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection. If the wireless light is solid, than it is still connected the wireless network. Follow this guide, HP Printers - 'Offline' Printer Status Message Displays (Windows 8). What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (did it print or scan, any error messages)
    Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. I look forward to hearing from you. Good Luck!

  • Missing/partial prints & Printer Offline on Windows 8/8.1

    Hello fellow community members! I have come across an issue with some HP printers and the Windows 8 /8.1 Operating System. Below are some common issues the troubleshooting steps in this Thread will cover;
     Printer Offline
    Printer does not print multi page documentsPrinter will Print a test page, but not sent documentsPrinter stops printing in the middle of a print jobWith the help from JonW and his instructions, I wanted to compile a post for this issue starting with a functional work around. Firstly - There are a few windows updates that may help with this problem. 1)    Install this Microsoft patch to make sure this private-public-private network issue does not reoccur. It is part of the April 2014 Windows Update package for Windows 8.1 and Server2012 R2 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2919355). 2)      Install this Microsoft patch for the WSD service.  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/3000461 If this does not help, then please follow the steps list below which will give you a Workaround that may help with this problem. Assign the printer a static IP address An IP address is an Internet network address that the computer can use to communicate with the printer. Enter a static IP address to make sure that the wireless connection remains stable. Follow these steps to assign the printer a static IP address.Get the printer IP address.Press the Wireless button on the printer control panel to view the network settings.Access the Network menu on the printer control panel.Print a Network Configuration Page or Wireless Test Report page.Once you have the printer's IP address, open a new web browser window or tab.Type the IP address in your web browser's address bar, and then press Enter.Make sure that you type the IP address into the browser's address box. If you type it into a tool bar search box, the EWS will not open.If the message 'There is a problem with this website's security certificate' appears in the web browser when you try to open the embedded web server (EWS), or when you navigate within the EWS, click ' Continue to this website (not recommended)'. note:Choosing ' Continue to this website (not recommended)' will not harm your computer while you navigate within the EWS for your printer. If you encounter this error outside of your printer's EWS, your computer could be at risk. If the browser fails to open the EWS after you click ' Continue to this website (not recommended)', refresh the browser window. The Embedded Web Server (EWS) for the printer opens and confirms that the printer is on the same network as the computer.In the EWS, click the Network tab.In the Wireless section, click the Network Address (IP) or IPv6 configuration, depending on your network setup.Click Manual IP, and then click Suggest a Manual IP Address. A manual IP address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway displays.After the manual IP address populates, click Manual DNS Server. note:Keep a record of the manual IP address for reference.On the Network Configuration Page you printed earlier, locate the DNS Server addresses, type the DNS addresses in the Manual Preferred DNS Server and Manual Alternate DNS Server fields, and then click Apply.If the DNS addresses are not listed on the Network Configuration Page, or if you have trouble accessing the network or Internet with the original DNS addresses, use one of the following methods to obtain DNS addresses. Method one: Use publicly available DNS server addressesConfigure the printer using publicly available DNS server addresses. To find available DNS server addresses, search online for 'public DNS servers'.After you find public DNS server addresses, type the addresses in the Manual Preferred DNS Server and Manual Alternate DNS Server fields, and then click Apply. Method two: Get the network DNS information via your computerSelect your operating system, and then use the following directions to obtain the DNS server addresses.Right-click the Start button () or the lower left corner of the screen, click Run, type cmd, and then press Enter.When the command window opens, type ipconfig /all, and then press Enter. Information about the computer's network displays.Scroll to and locate the DNS Server addresses.In the EWS, type the DNS addresses in the Manual Preferred DNS Server and Manual Alternate DNS Server fields, and then click Apply.Print a test page to make sure that the printer's IP address is the same as you assigned.Right-click the Start button () or the lower left corner of the screen, click Search, type HP and click your printer in the results. Click Utilities, and then click Update IP address to update the address in the software. Adding a Wireless Network Printer using Control Panel Go to Control Panel and choose Devices and PrintersClick on Add Printer   The PC will search the local network and display the network printers.Choose the printer and select Next  The system will then try and auto select a compatible driver  Select the current driver and Click Next   The system will then ask for a name for the printer. The user can change the name and then click Next    The User can then choose to share the printer    The user can select to make this new printer the default and then click Finish.  The new printer is now setup but this printer will be using the In OS driver (Class) rather than the HP Full Function driver.To change the printer to use the HP Full Function driver follow the following instructions. I would recommend changing the driver to the HP Full Function driver as the User can then use features such as Custom paper sizes.Go back into Control Panel and choose devices and Printers, right click on the newly created printer and choose Printer Properties      Choose the Advanced Tab      Click on the driver section drop down and choose the Driver for the printer that does not have the words Class driver after it.       Click apply and then OK and the driver will be changed to the HP Full Function driver for the printer.The user should try this configuration and see if they still experience problems. Printing should not be an issue any more. Please let me know your feed back and if these steps helped. Best of luck and happy printing. Cheers,

    Hi tkh2014, At this time I would like you to ensure that all available updates are installed on the computer. refer to this YouTube video if you need help checking:  If the updates are all installed or do not help, I would like you to attempt to restore the computer to point in time prior the two week mark the issue started. To restore your PC to an earlier point in timeSwipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search.

  • Fix For Slow Printing To IPP Printer Pool

    Here's a fix that might help someone out there:
    I have a printer pool with two HP Laserjet printers that's shared via IPP on an Xserve running Mac OS X Server 10.5.
    One of the printers is offline with a fuser error, so as expected, the server is sending all jobs to the other printer; however even small jobs are now taking an extra 1-2 minutes to get to that printer. Before one of the printers went offline, small jobs would print almost instantaneously.
    Since printing speed was normal for other, non-pooled printers shared by the server, I figured the delay was probably related to the server taking too long to decide that the offline printer was actually offline.
    I figured that the fastest way for the server to determine that a pooled printer is busy is when it has a job in its queue waiting to print. So, I logged into the server and sent a job directly to the offline printer's queue; the job will just sit there and won't print, but the server will think the printer is busy.
    That eliminated the delay. It's annoying that the delay is there at all, since the whole point of the printer pool is too have redundancy if one printer runs out of paper or malfunctions. If anyone has any ideas on a more concrete way to eliminate this delay, please share them.

    Hi,
    Do the programs freeze for about 2 minutes each time when attempting to print something?
    Do we use spooling?  If not, we can enable the setting
    Spool print documents so program finishes printing faster and its sub-setting
    Start printing immediately to see if it helps.

  • HP Print and Scan Doctor can't connect to HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus.

    My HP Officejet Pro 8600 has been working perfectly for the last 1+ years, up until 2 days ago, when it stopped printing jobs submitted from my Windows 7 desktop.  I've tried all manner of repair, thus far unsuccessfully, including
    resetting the IP on both the printer and the desktop
    trying wireless connection, no difference
    reinstalling drivers and firmware
    hard-resetting the printer
    repeatedly trying to print test pages
    repeatedly restarted the Print Spooler, and rebooted the desktop
    attempting to troubleshoot using HP Print and Scan Doctor.
    Additional facts:
    My wife can use the printer from her work laptop without any problems.
    I can ping the printer from the desktop at its static IP, so IP-level connectivity isn't the problem.
    The standard print queue view indicates "(Offline)" in the title bar, and attempting to print a test page from the Properties dialog submits the page, then Status flips to "Error - Offline - Printing", despite the fact that the Properties dialog shows no checkmark next to Use Printer Offline menu entry.
    The Doctor finds the printer at its IP and acknowledges that it's installed, and when asked to Fix Printing, says that everything checks-out okay with the product.  However, when I ask it to Test Print, it comes back with a pop-up stating it's Unable to Communicate with Printer; it suggests "Click Help for additional assistance information.", but there's no Help button.
    If you've experienced this printer in a similar firmly-wedged state, I'd deeply appreciate hearing how you fixed it.
    Thanks,
    -Richard (Personal information)

    Hi @Sunshyn2005
    I timed-out waiting for advice, and contacted HP Support, who helped me get the printer back on the air.  While we didn't manage to root-cause it, in the course of trying various things, the tech disabled Norton 360's firewall, which then allowed connecting to the printer, and restoring print service, which remains up after re-enabling the firewall.
    The timing of the disconnection doesn't neatly corellate with any Windows updates.  My own theory is that it was caused by a 360 update, but am unable to find a smoking gun, since 360 doesn't provide update history.  The exact root-cause remains a mystery, but at least provides another thing for folks to try should they find themselves in similar straits.
    I really appreciated your hint that a Windows update might be the root cause, and your pointing out how to review the history and back-out updates: this morning, I found that Windows had installed a batch of updates overnight, and found that no browsers worked.  Using your advice, I rolled back the update, restoring browsing.
    Thanks,
    -rjs

    Hello all,
    I have a picture stored in archive link.
    I have a screen in which i use the class CL_GUI_PICTURE to display the picture. (I use the FM 'ARCHIVELINK_URL_GENERATE' to generate the url for that picture).
    What i need is a way to print that picture. CL_GUI_PICTURE does not have any method to print. How can this be done?
    Thank you,
    Nuno Silva

    Hello,
    I can recommend you go through the tutorial called How Tou2026 Integrate ADOBE form on WebdynPro for ABAP and Deploy it on portal by Bhawanidutt Dabral. Ignore the fact it uses WD, I have tried the proposed solution how to load in the picture on a simple offline/ print form. Look around for this tutorial.
    It propose to use the FM as follows:
    CALL METHOD cl_ssf_xsf_utilities=>get_bds_graphic_as_bmp
        EXPORTING
          p_object       = c_graphics
          p_name         = lv_pernr1
          p_id           = c_bmap
          p_btype        = c_bcol
        RECEIVING
          p_bmp          = ls_z_if_test_cv-im_photo
        EXCEPTIONS
          not_found      = 1
          internal_error = 2
          OTHERS         = 3.
    It passes the picture as XSTRING into the form and there you bind this data stream to a Image Field (not an Image!!! check this twice). Don´t forget to check the checbox to include picture data into the form file.
    Hope this helps, Otto
