On-line Chat help

I have noticed that someone remotely had accessed my email account, and has sent SPAM to all my email contacts (almost 4000) of them who are all now cranky at me!  I  need to know what to do to stop this, and ensure my account is secure, without sitting on hold, and going through the phone system in an endless round and round.  I need someone on line that can take hold of the PC and look at it-- to see what I can do--
Please help and advise ASAP!!
Thank you kindly

  • Why can't I get get through to on-line chat?

This is the second time today that I have tried to reach someone through the on-line chat.  I tried to go into the store and was told I had an hour and a half wait and there is no way to call customer service without being on hold almost that long, so I decide to try to figure out the issue myself.  The instructions are not clear and I just need a couple of questions answered. This is turning into a nightmare and Verizon's customer service standards are getting lower and lower.  The rates between Verizon and other companies is narrowing and I am starting to question why we are still being loyal to this company.  We've been customers for 15 years.  I don't normally express such negative feelings but I'm petty frustrated at this point. Will someone please help.

What questions do you have?  Help us help you by giving us an idea of the issues you have...

  • Question about on-line chat

Can someone put my mind at rest?
I've just been on an on-line chat session trying to sort out an issue with a new printer. I got there by enetring various details on the HP site and I was given the option of a live chat for support. The techie asked for control and I passed it over.
He was very polite and helpful but couldn't solve the problem.
I was a bit concerned about the number of changes he appeared to be making to IP addresses associated with the printer and suggesting that I move the printer to the same room as the router.
When he called up my router and wanted me to enter my password I decided enough was enough and said I was uncomfortable with doing that and didn't want any settings changed. He then stopped the chat with no further communication.
    Have I been scammed?
    Thanks

    Hi @dl2015 ,
I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publically post ( serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

  • My Verizon "Live Chat" help, still no option

I have scoured the FAQ's  and looked through the forums for this. Most recent I came across was from last year, which asked what I was also wondering, how do you access Live Chat from your My Verizon page, and why is there no option or button to click to simply bring up the Live Chat so we can ask a question quickly without having to go through all the wasted **bleep** of calling and working through all the automated crap.
Several people had asked this on the same post, and they got 1 legitimate answer from a Verizon Rep/Moderator stating that they know it was something customers had been wanting and asking about, and that Verizon was looking into getting the issue fixed, so we could access a Live Chat person when needed.
Well, currently, all I still see is the occasional pop up for Live Chat help once in a blue moon, that's it. Here we are over a year later from the post I read which was answered by a Verizon Rep/Moderator, and still, no fix, no option anywhere on the Verizon Home Page, no option anywhere on our My Verizon page, NO WHERE in the Customer Support COntact section to contact any Live Chat.
What's the deal here Verizon? Over a year later, and you still haven't fixed this so we, as your customers, can readily and easily access a Live Chat person when needed? Instead we need to hope a pop up shows to access it, or go through all the automated **bleep** on the phone. Personally, if I have a quick simple question, and I can't find an answer in the Community forums, I would much rather ask a Live Chat Rep quick, rather than waste 10 or 15 minutes on the phone, to ask a 10 second question.
It's ridiculous, and I am getting very disappointed with how Verizon is handling this. This feature could really simplify things for all of us, and maybe for you also.
Don't you think it's about time you dealt with this and added the feature for us to access a Live Chat Rep easily, when we need too? It's been well over a year since I read the reply I found, seriously, I think that is more than enough time for your programmers to add this to the site.

Thanks for the replies guys. For the life of me though I can never find ANY links for Live Chat Help. The day I posted the OP, I had just had a Live Chat pop up, and closed it because at the moment I didn't need assistance. But it wasn't maybe 10 minutes later I did have a question, and I scoured the ENTIRE site, and found absolutely no way to get Live Chat. So if you say it is there, I must just have some awful timing, or terrible luck with it.
Seems extremely silly that it would only show up here and there if they do offer regular Live Help. It should be an easy help feature to find at any time. Not here and there when they supposedly have someone answering the Live Chat. After all, they are paid Reps who are supposed to answer questions when needed.
Just a few minutes ago, when I came on to the site, the Live Chat pop up came up for me again. Here it is not much later and it shows me no where to click to bring it back up. The way I see it, is if they are going to offer Live Chat Help for people, so we don't have to spend 10 minutes going through the automated phone crap to ask a question that might take 30 seconds to answer, then they either need to add a permanent link in the Support section for it for people to be able to readily speak to someone if needed, or just do away with it period. Makes absolutely NO sense to ffer it as basically a "part time" service. I've worked many years in Customer service for Best Buy, Sprint PCS, to name a couple helping people with rebates, account questions, payments, etc., and never did we have some silly "part time" option for people to use.
If you are going to offer the service, to make it easier for people to get assistance, then get on the ball and into the 21st century, and make sure the service is readily available. Multitasking is a way of live for any Customer Service Rep, and there's no reason why all their Reps shouldn't have the option to assist via Live Chat when needed.
    Just my opinion though.
Again, thanks for the replies. Appreciate it.

i want to downgrade my 2011 mac mini server to mac os x i have the disks but the mini willl not reboot the apple changing to a circle with a line please help-

bpruse,  I may be completely off-track for your issue, but I had a similar situation where I wanted to downgrade a Mac Pro from Server to plain OS X and it would not boot from the OS X install disk.
I was attempting to use a full-install OS X.6.x disc with an earlier SL version than that which originally came installed on the Mac Pro.  After two or three hours of fiddling, I figured it out and used the discs that came with the system.
However, I don't know how that would work in your case if this is the mini server-version.  I'm sure the disks would only have Server on them.  Worse-case scenario, find out which X.6.x the OEM disc is installing and get an OS X disc with a new installer.

  • Where's the Chat Help ?

Where is the live Chat Help for BC? Did they get rid of it?

    Hi eplusm,
I can confirm chat is available and you can access it now if required via your Partner Portal/Admin Console > Help & Support.
It seems you attempted to access chat on Sunday - please note we provide live chat support 24 hours a day, 5 days a week over various time zones. So when you attempted to access chat yesterday, you would not have seen the ability to initiate a chat as we were offline at that time.
    Thanks.

  • Does Chat Help Know Product? Took control of my PSE 12...

I have been trying for 2 weeks to get help via phone and chat help, with Program Error in Perfect Portrait, and only occationally am able to adjust brush size. Also, trying to find out why, when moving or removing an object you can see where it was. My latest attempt to get answers via live chat, tech took control of my PSE 12 and messed up my picture and left. Has anyone experienced problems tech and were you successful in getting help?

You're very kind; thank you! In fact I thought it might be and deleted the update daemon via terminal with instructions from Google. Wouldn't you know it happened again the next evening! I lost track of that time and now the time sequence is missing from Console altogether. If it happens again perhaps you'll indulge me a follow-up. It was probably a one-off, I'm sure.

Go to System Preferences - Accessibility - Voiceover - turn off Voiceover. The shortcut is command-F5, so possibly you pressed that accidentally.
