Online number has never worked

I have just had a reminder that my online number is about to expire, but it has never worked. When I dial it, it connects for a nano-second, and then immediately I get the disconnected beeps.
I wondered if it was my phone supplie preventing the number being used? (They don't weant me to circumnavigate their service?).
I won't be renewing the subscription as i cannot use the phone number

First check your privacy settings are set to ''Allow calls from anyone''.Then change them to "Allow SkypeIn calls from Only people from my Contacts List".Save and wait for 5 minutes.Log out from your Skype account and log back in. Change settings back to "Allow calls from Anyone". Save and wait for 5 minutes.Log out from your Skype account and log back in.

My online number which I have had for 2 1/2 years for my business is now not working...Earlier today, when the number was dialed, my clients recieved a recording that said the number had been changed, and then the call disconnected...Now, when you dial the number, it rings busy...I have tried changing the privacy settings to contacts only and then back again and logging out and back in again...same problem...Looking for ANY assistance...Please help!

I have exactly the same problem. The support consists of typing in a question and getting a reply from completely incompetent agents. They get impatient if you don't know what to do if they ask you to re-program your computer. One person on this person says try GOOGLE VOICE instead of SKYPE I am going to find out about it today and let you know what its about. It can't be worse than the service offered BY THIS GROUP OF INCOMPETENT COWBOYS THAT TRY TO RUN SKYPE.......

I've recently renewed my online number subscription and none of my friends of family can get hold of me. I'm really disappointed! My skype number is +1[edited for privacy]. This number does not work at all - can you please advise me asap - is it possible to change this number?

Does anyone know how to complain to Skype? I paid $30 for a Skype number, which has never worked. Everytime people call me they are directed to a voice mail. And it's not because my Skype is not turned on. It is!! Just to make sure that the problem was not at the end of my callers, I did a little experiement and called my Skype number (after turning on the iphone skype app), but got the same result as others -- a voice mail recording. It is very frustrating because there is no recourse. Skype is taking us for a ride. It's a scam.

Our online number is not working when trying to call from Telia mobile phones in denmark. I have checked with Telia in Denmark and they tell us that the problem is a "prefix" that is set wrong from SKYPE's side?
Could someone at skype please help get this fixed, as some of our customers can not call us.

If you mean AppleCare, then I would believe the answer will be yes.
First make sure you have a full backup of everything on your Mac, then run, don't walk to your nearest Apple store.
Note: Due to your Mac now being in computer years, somewhat elderly, Apple may not have the require parts in stock. My Apple TV does not work and has never worked. I replaced it twice and replaced my router and DSL modem but no luck. I spent hours on tech support with both apple and my ISPs with no luck. Any ideas? Is the Apple TV a donation to apple? I have had the device for 8 months but it will not work for longer than 15 minutes before it drops with network errors. All of my other devices work perfectly on the network including 2 iPads, laptops and an old wii. I love apple products and this is the first real disappointment I have had. The Apple TV seems like a major dud of a product.

Seems unlikely you have had two faulty replacements, and more likely that there may be some network compatibility issue or problem with reception in the location the AppleTV lies - anything close to it that might be interfering?
I am assuming you are connected via wifi - if you can try an ethernet connection to rule wifi issues out.
Could you try it at somone else's house maybe? If it worked there it would point to something specific at your location.
You could try replacing it again I guess or seeing if they can offer you credit or a refund.

Network Extender has never worked

We received a network extender from Verizon due to the lack of coverage in the area we live - too far from a tower.
I have tried every weekend to get this thing going and I always get a solid blue power light, solid blue wan light a SLOW BLINKING RED SYSTEM LIGHT and a solid magenta GPS light.
I tried calling Verizon for support but the tech rep didn't know what to do and was trying to read through the manual, I think and the call dropped after about an hour (back to the lack of coverage issue). I was so tired of not getting anywhere that I just let it go for the evening.
Bottom line is - this thing has never worked. All I can find is that a slow red blinking light is there is an abnormal condition.
Is there any further troubleshooting I can do or do I just need to see if Verizon can send me another one?

Update - now I have a solid red GPS light & the slow blinking red SYS light. Will let it sit for an hour (as the sticker on the side suggests) and see if there's any difference

I was not informed.
Now it has been brought to my attention by a customer i find that hte system tells me the number is no longer available but when I call it there is no answer so it is not being used.
I would like my old number back. How do I achieve this?
I must say it is also VERY frustrating that I there is no contact information for customer services at all on this site and if there is it is so well hidden that it is impossible to find. Big negative.

I apologize for the problems you had activating your Galaxy S4, we definitely need to get it up and running. From the details provided, it sounds like it didn't activate properly. Was the Bionic on when you swapped them online? Power off both phones; remove/re-insert SIM in Galaxy S4 and try again. If problem is still there, completing a factory reset will push the activation through.

Keyboard shortcut for Copies has never worked in print dialog

I don't know if this is the right place to report a bug, but it has always irritated me that the keyboard shortcut ALT-C to move the focus to the Copies field has never worked in the Adobe Reader print dialog. It should work as the underscore exists in "Copies:" I use the shortcut all the time in Office whenever i want to print more than one copy. It would be nice if this would work in Adobe Reader also. Photoshop Elements 12 installed on my PC has never worked.

My Photoshop Elements 12, which I installed as an upgrade to Photoshop Elements 11 on my PC running under Windows 8.1 has never worked. In cannot find a catalog. My Elements 11 worked fine under Windows 7 and still works fine after I upgraded to Windows 8.1. I have spent hours on the phone with Adobe techs and have had my local PC professionals examine the PC. They both concluded it is a bug in Windows 8 but if so I do not know to proceed. Help would be most appreciated.

IPhone 5 won't start or charge or turn on and was not dropped recently and the power button has never worked

My iPhone 5 was not dropped recently however I went to use it and the screen was black, I plugged it in and nothing happened. When you call it it goes right to voicemail. The power button on it has never worked it always turns on when plugged in... Any ideas?

Are you certain that the battery has not run out? Have you kept it plugged into a wall outlet for at least 30 minutes to see if it is just needing to be charged?
If it does not come on after being plugged in for 30 minutes or so, then without a functional Power button you cannot reset it, so you are going to have to try to put it into Recovery mode and restore it:
If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
You may not even be able to do this since you cannot proactively turn it off, but you can try.

I bought a MacBook Pro in September, 2011 and it has never worked well. Are there known issues with this machine? It just stops responding, usually for 3 minutes (especially when I'm working in iPhoto or Contacts). I regret buying this machine. I wish I could just go back to my previous MacBook Pro. Any chance Apple will just exchange this for me without it costing me my other arm & leg?

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this exercise is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
Note: If FileVault is enabled under Mac OS X 10.7 or later, you can’t boot in safe mode.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem(s)?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Ipad mini headset has never worked.

I have a brand new ipad mini less than 2 months old... Plugged in my headset and wont work and has never worked. The ipad mini has been in an otterbox since day 1 and yet customer service is giving a run around instead of investigating the issue. How can you look at the ipad mini and say I see a scratch on the outside so it has physical damage?
