Option 1- Slow speed - order not completed ??

I was previously on another BT Package and upgraded to Option 1. Previously I was getting speeds up to 5.9. I have wireless and hard wired devices and the speed was consistent with the hard wired device typically 1 Mbps above the wireless device (as you would expect) The completion of my cutover was delayed due to additional work needing to be carried out at the Exchange. Original completion day was 3 June. On 4 June my speeds increased by about 1Mbps to 5.53 wireless and 6.45 hardwired. However since then the speeds have been consistently at 2.28 wireless and 2.42 hardwired. I have tried to report this as a fault but help desk won`t take ; stating I am still in a training period. My order is shown as complete.  However I think it is more than this as the speeds aren`t increasing at all. I think I am capped or there is a problem at the exchange or they have signed my order off before completion. I have logged onto the Hub and the bandwith shows 3064 for the speed

The letter I received from BT stated that I should receive 7Mbps , but looking at these figures it is not even close. Could someone offer any advice.

are you connected directly to the NTE5 master or test socket or to somewhere else? Do you have any phone extension sockets in your home?. In directly to NTE5. No other phone extensions.
Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone
I have tried this .  No noise.
 I had no problems at all until I upgraded to option1. I had a voyager router which gave up the ghost. Then found out out I was on some obscure package and wasn`t supported so upgraded to option 1. Thats when the problems started, one day of faster service then aprroximately one third the original speed.

    All broadband checks that I do show that I can get a giddy speed of 0 Mb/s - obviously this cannot be correct. I spoke to a useful guy at O2 Tech Support - he said to me that characteristics of my line were missing, such as the distance from the exchange. He also said that when he checked my number, it showed that my line had recently been activated / had still not finished activating. I have asked Customer Services @ BT this several times and no-one has an answer for me.
    I have tried ringing BT Wholesale, via a number that I recieved from ringing Customer Services. They were no help, infact they hung up on me - which about sums up the services I have recieved thus far from BT.
    PLEASE can someone assist me with this? I cannot get an answer from anyone, anywhere @ BT. I really cannot be bothered to go through the rigmour of talking to OFCOM just to sort this out!

  • Slow speed issue not getting what i was promised

    After having no luck no the phone and feeling like i was fobbed off i was wondering if anyone can help here.
    I had BT infinity 2 installed 2 weeks ago and have never received over 40MEG when i was promised between 59.9 and 79.9.
    I rung up on Saturday and i was told a engineer would look at the line and call me back. After recieving no call back i rung today and was told that 40 was the expected speed of the line.... even tho when i purchased BT infinity 2 i was told and have in writing on my receipt that i would get speeds of 59-79.
    I now look on the BT site and notice that if i put in my postcode on the website it now says i should get between 35-45.
    When the engineers installed it they did seem like they where here for a while and maybe relalised they couldn't give the speeds that they originally promised me.
    Im really not happy as i was still promised the higher speeds of 59-79, its more the upload that i wanted as i was promised 19-20 and am getting 7 currently.I have been told to ring back in 48 hours again if speed doesn't increase which i know it wont as it hasn't in the past 2 weeks.
    Feeling a bit like i shouldn't have joined BT as i am not getting what i am paying for. Can any of the mods help with this issue?

    Hi 
    i have several issues. I have been a very satisfied customer for over 15 years until early summer of this year:
    1. My broadband speeds remain painfully slow despite 3 complaints and investigations. In fact my line is still connected to the test line as I was advised to do and I have never had a call back as promised.
    2. I have now received an email message to say I have used 90gb at a cost of £50. This is almost all uploads. i upload nothing and this figure is impossible. Until June my usage was quite small and I came nowhere near my limit on option 2. Nothing has changed with my usage since then. I do not download or stream films and do not upload large quantities. I probably would stream films, but the slow speed does not allow it.
    3. I spent over an hour on the phone trying to sort this out today, but was not helped by a succession of people who barely understood the situation and had even less understanding of customer service. I have now emailed, but have had a message saying it might be 72 hours before a reply.
    Any advice would be really helpful as I am at my wits end

    Ok....since the original post the problem has continued. I have spent literally hours on the phone to people who say all the same things and never come up with a solution.
    The test results are below. I do not experience speeds as reported. And if I use another tester it correctly comes out as about 1 4 - 1.9. or even lower. The upload usage is still showing as high....but it is just not possible. I have now reset the hub wireless key, but I have not shared this with anyone in range. Apple TV is now disconnected after it was going to take 20 hours to download a film!
    I am at my wits end with this and really do not want the hassle of changing provider but even after 20 years BT broadband I am so very close to that.
    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    1. You cannot reset it back . For future cases ensure to grey out the option using Transaction Variants SHD0 for IW31/IW32 Tcodes

  • Very slow speed. Reported but not fixed.

    After having very slow up to 20mb speeds and constant disconnections I decided to go for infinity option 2 as I had so many problems with ADSL with constant calls to India and engineers coming out.
    The engineer turned up as instructed and fitted the equipment.  No problems there.  He did say I was the only one to have infinity installed at my local cabinet.
    Now the real problems started.  I still have disconnection issues but not as many now.  And the speed I am receiving is worse than my old up to 20mb service.
    I have reported this several times (through the help desk in India !!) and some times an engineer comes out and tests the line, equipment, cabinet and telephones the infinity help desk as it appears they can do things remotely.
    Each engineer that turns up says he is not trained to fix the problem and that he has done what he is contractually obliged to do and then leaves, stating to wait 10 days and see if the problem fixes itself.
    So it appears I'm in a circle of ringing India and being told to wait 10 days or getting someone out who can't fix it, states to wait 10 days and then leaves with problem not fixed.
    What am I to do.

    After getting the mods involved and a fault being raised the fault still hasn't been fixed even through it states on the BT website report and track faults that it has been fixed.  An engineer hasn't been out to fix it so I am confused as to what BT have done to attempt to fix my broadband problem
    Seriously what do I have to do to get this fixed.  It is unacceptable that I'm am paying for a service I'm not getting.
    How is this posted screen from BT Speedtest accetpable for BT Infinity Option 2 with speeds stated as 60mb down and 20mbs up as reported by the enginner who fitted it.
    Your advise will be greatfully helped as I have tried every option now and stil no fix.

              I want to Complete the Maintenance Order (Business Completion) but I can not see Icon - Complete Order. to complete the Maintenance Order. I understand Order --- Function -
    Completion  path can be used for competeion but it is disabled.
              For Superuser's LOGIN they have the ICON for complete Orders and they can see any error message for completiing Orders. Since I cant perform complete Order I can not see any error message.
             Is there any user settings for ICON's display.

    To display - run PFCG and select the role click display and select authorisation tab click details icon and click organisation level to view the Buisness transaction
    To maintain - Run PFCG and select role : SAP_Workorder_Closer ,Click the pencil and click on the authorisation tab and change authorisation value and eithier you can manually maintain I_BETRVORG with BABS value. or Choose Plant maintenance business transaction from the structure and add BABS and generate the profile. then execute the transaction.

    A pop-up window keeps appearing with the message that a script is not completing correctly - " "Script: chrome://forecastfox/content/observers.js:1" I'm given the choice to a) let it continue in the hopes it will complete or b) cancel. No matter which choice I make, the little window persists up in the corner of my screen and then sometimes brings itself to the front again, so I get to make the choice all over again. Most annoying also because I can't close the little pop-up...it hides itself in the top left and appears as a small blank there. I have the distinct impression that it's making my Mac run slower... and I would love to get rid of it. It's not related to Firefox 5...it was there before with the previous version, too...and is one of the reasons I upgraded. I don't want Chrome, by the way...so it's also annoying to see its name in the offending script-name. I took a screen shot but can't figure out how to attach it to this description. It happens every time I open Firefox...not immediately but after a while.

    Go to SPRO --> Plant Maintenance & CS --> Maintenance and Service Processing --> Maintenance and Service Orders --> Assign order types to maintenance plants.
    Maintain the order type SM03 against the plant.
    Go to SPRO --> Plant Maintenance & CS --> Maintenance and Service Processing --> Maintenance and Service Orders --> Completion confirmations --> Define the parameters for completion confirmations.
    These both should be done, try to raise the SM03 order now.
