Org Plan - change management

Hi,
Anybody here with practical experience regarding transporting changes to org plan from a test to a productive client?
What changes can be distributed/transported, what is the tool (ALE or report), what are the restrictions?
- org units, EBP users (business partner, position, central person), attributes?
- reassignments of org units including all its employees?
- new employee for an org unit?
- change of employees attributes, e.g. slimapprover, spending limit, product category?

Have you ever done this? Does it work properly? Are you using ALE IDOCs or report RHALEINI?
In the document you mention I understand the initial replication part but not the distribution of everyday's little changes.
I tried e.g. to change attribute with RHOMATTRIBUTES_REPLACE and could not even specify all needed attributes.
What happens e.g. to vendors and locations? They are part of the org plan, can they be transported? Since they are business partner does that mean this transport tool also distribute bp changes?

    Guys,
    I need to make changes to the org plan by creating new company nodes and moving the users in line with the new structure.
    Do I do this in production?  or do I do it in Dev and transport it? I wasnt sure that it requires a config change so how is it transported?

    Hi,
    I have an requirement, need to create report which specifies all the list of Org Units that are created and delimited during the given period.
    The report has to display any changes for Org. Unit in HRP1000, HRP1001 and HRP1008.
    Please suggest how to find out any changes occured for Org. Unit.
    Standard report RHCDOC_DISPLAY needs to be used for Org unit change history report.

    You need to maintain the Settings for "CHANGE DOCUMENTS" in the Config;
    use this IMG Path :
    Personnel management -
    > Organization management -
    > Basic Settings -
    >Activate Change Documents
    Execute the link Activate Change Documents and maintain all the settings as below;
    Plan Version : 01
    Object Type : S , O , (all the objects that you like to put )
    Infotype : 1001 / 1008
    Subtype : *
    Active :  Tick the check Box.
    You need to create One line per Object type;
    Ex :   
    01(Plan)                                   S (OTYPE)                         1001(ITYPE)                             *  (STYPE)                         Tick Mark (Active)

  • Help required in OCM-Order change management

    Hi All,
    I have to implement the Order change managment. I did few setting which are required and than i created ECR using release key. but using OCM it tells me to first make the changes in MATERIAL BOM than using transaction COCM i can make the changes in required production order.
    But my requirement is i want to change the Production BOM or Production routing directly without touching Material BOM .
    As sometime it happens only 1 or 2 Order BOM s are need to be changed only not the Material bom. So i want to track the Changes made in Order using OCM.
    What is the solution that i can change the Production Bom OR Production Routing directly using OCM and also how can i make the changes in Sales Order.
    Pls do the needful.

    Using Order Change Management (change management for production orders), it is possible to include existing procurement elements (production orders, planned orders, purchase orders) that are also affected by a change, in the change process.
    The change process in OCM is based on Initiating Objects. These initiating object records refer to changes in sales orders or in master data, which, in turn, necessitate changes to production orders.
    Thus, it is not possible to change the order directly using OCM.

  • Explain plan changed

    Hi All,
    I have a performance issues in one of my database when i checked found that the plan has been changed.
    The previous plan was good and the new plan causing the slowness in query level.
    There is no code level change, No data volume increasing/ Nothing got changed in that query.
    i want to reset the old plan for this query, how can we proceed with that.
    is there any way to reset the old plan for the current query!!!

    I dont have the query and plan details with me now, but curious to know how do we set it back with old(good) plan.
    RDBMS version: Version 11.2.0.3
    Edition: Enterprise Edition

    On 11.2.0.3, it might be cardinality feedback.
    but curious to know how do we set it back with old(good) plan.Assuming you have the old, good plan in either the cursor cache or in AWR, then you have at least two options - one to load the plan into a sql plan baseline or to use a sql profile.
    Assuming that the old plan is not in the cursor cache but is still in AWR, then the steps are along the lines of:
    1. Create a SQL tuning set using DBMS_SQLTUNE.CREATE_SQLSET
    2. Load in your specific plan from AWR into a SQLSET using DBMS_SQLSET.LOAD_SQLSET and DBMS_SQLTUNE.SELECT_WORKLOAD_REPOSITORY
    3. Load plan into a baseline using DBMS_SPM.LOAD_PLANS_FROM_SQLSET.
    Alternatively, to use a sql profile to lock in a specific plan using outline hints, see COE_XFR_SQL_PROFILE script via Oracle Support doc id 215187.1
    The latter is certainly easier but baselines are marketed as sql plan management 2.0.

    Hi Cherry,
    what about your TMS configuration. Did you switched to extended transport control and modified your transport landscape to transport groups?
    Please check your project with: /n/tmwflow/charmchk.  The result could be helpful for error analysis concerning wrong tms configuration.

  • Number Range assignment to Org plan/model

    Hi,
    have a question on number ranges w.r.t Org plan.
    in CRM 5.0, my number assignment is independent of all plan versions (maintained 'X' in t.code OONC).
    Now I want to create a new number range and assign it to the new org model/plans that I will be creating - how do I do it.
    I could define the new number range but am not sure how to assign this to the org plan. If I explain it the other way, how does the Org plan determine which number range it has to use ?

    I did assign the new number range id here as per your message and saved but when I try to create the new Org model/plan, it still takes my old range - is there any dependency as well that I need to change?
    One more observation, on the same table T77S0, I have the value '1' for HRALX-ONUMB.
    I changed HRALX-ONUMB to '2' and then maintained HRALX-OSUBG with the Z1 number range (custom), but still my Org model determines the old number range?
    Could you suspect something?

    how do I set default values in TA crmd_order?
    I drew my organizational hierarchy using TAs bp and ppoma_crm.
    When a new Change Request (e. g. SDHF) is created, I want the four roles (Requester, Change Manager, IT Operator and Developer) to be set automatically, not manually.
    Both Requester (= Key User) and Change Manager are derivable. I did not find anything in SPRO neither in the OSS neither here.
    Points will be rewarded as a matter of course!

    Hi Dirk,
    look for Define Access Sequence & Define Partner Determination Procedure in SPRO and read the IMG Activity Documentation. You can find it in the Service Desk config, but it works for the other transaction types too.
    Basically, you create Access Sequences where you tell the Partner Determination Procedure where to look for the values for the Partner Function fields.
    The Access Sequence can use lots of sources for the information, including your org structure.

  • Repalce old user ID with new user ID in Org Plan

    Hi,
    I have a requirement. In our company, we have different type of user IDs for permanent employees and contractors.
    Whenever the contractors postion gets confirmed we will create a new user ID for that person.
    Now this new user ID has to be updated in the SRM org plan.
    As the user's old user ID is already assigned in the org plan and at the same time user have created lot of shopping carts, we want to replace his old user ID with the new one so that all the shopping carts will not get deleted.
    Basically I want to know, how to unassign the user ID from business partner and assign a new user ID.
    Is it possible to replace like that? Please advise.

    I noticed a feature in txn: BP --> Relationship
    In the relationship category, I could see two categories: Replaced by, Is replacing. Not sure what is the exact functionality of that.
    Do any one knows about that feature? Could you please advise me on that field?
    Also, Is it possible to change the validity period of BP or user assignment ?
    Will the above two resolve my issue?
    Since user has created many shopping carts and user needs access to those SC with his new users ID, I would like to confirm with you before taking any risk.

  • Org unit changes but position not  when emp move from 1 org unit 2 other

    We have a scenario in which when an employee moved from org unit to another (temporarily) his position doesn't get changed but org. unit changes. How to manage it???

    Hi Naveen,
    Let me expain the process in details when you enter "Position" in IT 0000 & 0001  in Emp. Master (PA30) it inherites Org. Unit, Org Key and Cost Center. To get inheritance of org unit, org key, cost center along with position you have to assign all to org. unit in PPOM.
    I want "Position" to be remained unchanged when an employee moves from one org unit to other only organization unit need to be changes.

    Follow the same steps which mentioned for SP12, as per my understanding there is not much difference in basic configuration of solution manager 4.0.
    Create systems in SMSY, RFC connections, create logical system, create project, activate charm, these are the basic steps.
    You will get information on this on saphelp and also go through the solman rkt (service.sap.com/rkt),
    sap market place &#61664; sap support infrastructure &#61664; solution manager &#61664; media library (u will find all documents)
    Even they gave given the charm configuration guide for SP12, u will find that in technical papers.

  • Change Management Package

    Hello All,
    I am looking at the Oracle Change Management package and I see the overall process of baselines, comparisons, and synchronizations.
    I thought in a previous version I was able to put in my own DDL (like an ALTER TABLE) and make that part of a plan that I could then use the Change Management Package to deploy to various databases & schemas.
    Am I mistaken? If not, has the functionality been deprecated or has it been replaced/updated with something else?
    I still have a need to do that sort of thing and having the Change Management package help me manage that would be "optimal".

    Hi Craig:
    Change manager added a capability similar to the one you describe in 12c Cloud Control. You can create a change plan and populate the change plan with specific changes and synchronize them to a destination database. To do this you need to create a change plan in EM and you can populate it with changes from SQL Developer, from another EM Change Manager Comparison, or by capturing a change to a single object.     You are going to have to provide a lot more information for anyone to help you from the basic ... like in what version ... to the specific ... what functionality do you want?
    In general none of the "packs" run any code not in the database in the form of built-in packages. For example much of the functionality of OEM Grid is implenented in DBMS_ADVISOR, DBMS_MONITOR, DBMS_SERVER_ALERT, etc.
    But without specific questions no specific answer is possible.

    Very interesting question!. This is the most challenging task an org unit is facing today. Before implementation you must be able to foresee what impact a new end to end business process would have on the present organizational set up. To visualize you need to have people who has knowledge in their respective business. It is no easy task. That is why you need to break & analyse each process in minute detail and compare “to be process” with the present process. To have an effective process in place you have to examine who is the Business process owner, if the owner does not follow or comply with the new process what is the risk involved, & what makes it mandatory that the process owner follows it and so is all down the line managers. What I mean to say is that by analyzing each and every new process you should be able to derive some KPI from this. This is how control can be built. This is all simple management technique but I have seen many new processes in ERP failing or not being used because of lack of Management control. I have answered who & how part. Now coming back to when part. The change management initiative has to start long before the actual ERP implementation. One has to prepare the organisation for taking a massive leap from a mere paper based organisation to accepting a system that can touch almost any business application. An organisation which has not prepared itself to accept the changes and hurriedly implements a system for the sake of project completion can see that the benefits projected in the business case may never be realized.
