OSPF path MPLS/point to point

Hey Guys,
I have two links on my router;
R1 ----- MPLS -----R2 ------------------------------------------1st link
R1-----pt to pt -----R3------MPLS----R2 ---------------------2nd Link
by default I am using 1st link and I would like to move to 2nd link, can anyone help how do I do that ?

From R1 to R2, correct?  (R2 to R1 could be tricky - depends on how R2 interact with MPLS).
For R1 to R2, you could just set a direct (high) OSPF interface cost on the R1 port to MPLS.

  • Selection tool not lighting up path or points?

    I am using CS3 on an Intel Mac running 10.5.8.
    I am working on a large file and for whatever reason that I don't understand, when I select a path, the path no longer 'lights up' so I can see it and it's anchor points. In the menu bar above, it will note that  a compound path or point is selected, but without being able to pinpoint the exact anchor point etc., I cannot make changes and anything new I create in the file will not 'light up' either when I use the selection tool. The only thing that shows up is the major outline boundary of the entire object.
    Is there some sort of switch that I've activated accidentally that I don't know about?
    Thanks for your help.

    You probably inadvertently hit the shortcut (command/ctrl-h)

  • Can't create path definition point?

    I'm doing a vector world map drawing and I keep running into this problem. All I am turning to do is connect two end points and I keep getting this window reading "Can't create path definition point, can't add anchor point." I'm exhausted but I'm I missing something simple here? All help is much appreicated!

    Dogherty,
    If you just want to close a path, you may select it normally and Ctrl/Cmd+J to join the hitherto endpoints.
    If you have two different paths, you may select the end points (by clicking on them with the Direct Selection Tool, also to avoid selecting possible ghost points) andCtrl/Cmd+J to join the paths.

  • LSMW - Logical File Path not pointing to Physical Path

    Hi All,
    I'm trying to upload some MIGO goods movement transactions through LSMW.  I'm to step 7, specifying files, and am getting the error "No logical file path has been specified.  I saw another thread which helped me, but I am still stuck after reading it.
    Re: Error in Creation of Purchase Requisition through LSMW
    I have gone into transaction FILE and created the logical file name MM_GOODS_MOVEMENT, and set the physical file as the .lsmw.conv converted data file as the above thread says.  I also tried using the logical path LOCAL_TEMPORARY_FILES for the converted data, but I get the error telling me that the path does not point to a physical directory.  I then tried creating my own file path, and setting the path to my desktop where the source file is, and the same error occurred.
    Does anyone know why it is not recognizing the physical path maintained in the logical path?
    Thanks,
    J

    Thanks for both replies,
    I have full authorization across all transactions in the sandbox system I am working in, so that is not an issue.  I filled the logical path field in the MM_GOODS_MOVEMENT logical file with LOCAL_TEMPORARY_FILES, as well as trying my own created file path, and I recieved the same error for each.  Here is how the config is currently:
    Logical File Path Definition:  MM_GOODS_MOVEMENT
    Syntax Group: WINDOWS NT
    Physical path: C:\Documents and Settings\jchanski\Desktop\<FILENAME>
    or,
    Logical File Path Definition:  LOCAL_TEMPORARY_FILES
    Syntax Group: WINDOWS NT
    Physical path: C:\temp\<FILENAME>
    Logical File Name Definition: MM_GOODS_MOVEMENT
    Physical file: MM_MM_MIGO_INVUPLOAD.lsmw.conv
    Data format: ASC
    Applicat.area: MM
    Logical path: LOCAL_TEMPORARY_FILES or MM_GOODS_MOVEMENT
    Do you see any error with this Brajvir?  Thanks!

  • Direct Selection Tool will not choose individual "path" anchor points

    Photohsop CS4, 11.0.1
    Mac OSX 10.4.11, MacPro, Dual-Core Intel Xeon, 2.66 GHz, 9GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT-256 MB VRAM, 500GB Startup HD, 500GB HD (wlhere file resides and scratch disk), OpenGL enabled
    I am unable to select individual anchor points and line segments of a path, although the anchor points appear to be individually highlighted, copying them copies the entire path, not just the selected points, and deleting them deletes the entire path, not just the selected points. In effect the "hollow arrow" direct selection tool is working like the "solid arrow path selection" tool.
    I ran Disk Warrior, repaired disk permissions. I deleted old preferences by renaming file with Photoshop closed, and then restarted photoshop.
    After calling Adobe Tech Support, they are recommending I reinstall the entire CS4 suite, which I am hesitant to do. At the least I will lose all of my menu preferences in all programs. Should I just follow their advice and reinstall CS4?
    Thanks.

    When you click on it with path selection tool (black arrow) which option is enabled in options bar at top - add, subtract, intersect, or exclude?
    Can you combine paths?
    Have you tried drawing a new path and selecting points on it?
    Can you still add and subtract points?
    Edit: Can you pull on the bezier handles?
    Edit: is it a vector mask or a standalone path?
    I'm trying to simulate your problem – in the meantime I'm brainstorming, not sure how else to help. It seems like something restarting the program would fix.
    What about quitting the app. Then going to User: Library: Prefs: Adobe Photoshop CS4 paths, trash it then restart?

  • Selecting path / anchor point

    Hi guys!
    I am just browsing around the trial Ai CS5 version and there is something, which I do not really understand...
    When I use Selection Tool {V}, it works pretty fine, but when using Direct Selection Tool {A}, I can not select the path or anchor points. When I hover over them, the underlying path or anchor point highlights, but after click, nothing happens. When I move mouse out of the clicked object, the highlight simply disappears. There must be some kind of bug, because in the Layers Panel, there is the selection highlighted and after hitting arrow keys, the points, which I selected are moving - depending on which arrow I am actually pressing.
    So in the nutshell: When I am trying to select single point or just path, the selection is not visible, but the points are still visible.
    Thank you for your help!

    You are welcome, Christian.
    It happens to many.
    I believe it may be caused by the fact that H is surrounded by other keys used with Ctrl/Cmd; a mishit may go unnoticed (I wonder whether this term will pass the nanny filter) when the right key is hit afterwards.

  • How do I convert a Word hyperlink path to point to a converted PDF document?

    I have a folder with Word documents that I want to convert to PDF. Many of the Word documents have hyperlinks to bookmarks in other Word documents in the same folder. (I'm trying to convert all the Word documents in the folder to PDF.) After I convert all the folder documents to PDF and click on the hyperlinks, they take me to the old Word documents. Is there a way to convert the hyperlink paths to instead take me to the converted PDF document?

    The original Hyperlink path, established in the MS Word files has as the target file some *.doc file.
    Edit Hyperlinks, in MS Word, to change the target file(s) to the appropriate *.pdf file.
    As a guess, I'd say someone familiar with MS VB might be able to come of with something to do the change programmatically.
    An alternative could be a web search for a possible Acrobat JavaScript that might do the job to the PDF files.
    Failing that the job would be done manually to each Hyperlink in each MS Word file.
    As to MS Hyperlinks to MS "Bookmarks" in other files.
    The [ # ] character used as a parameter is not interpreted by Adobe Reader / Acrobat in the same manner as MS Office products.
    Consequently, in an output PDF, the link will only open the target file. Note that MS Bookmarks within a DOC file will function in the output PDF.
    For PDF Open Parameters see:

  • ASA: OSPF Path Selection RFC1583 or 2328?

    Hi,
    I've been searching for this information but didn't find anything so far.
    Among other things, with RFC 2328 the way to determine the prefered path has been changed.
    However, per default Cisco IOS platforms still use the RFC 1583 mechanisms for compatibility reasons.
    NX-OS, in contrast, use the RCF 2338 specifications per default.
    The recommendation is to use the same method within an OSPF domain. Otherwise, at the worst, routing loops could occur.
    I know that our routers and multilayer switches run RFC 1583 compatible mode but I'm not sure about our ASAs.
    Can anybody confirm (if possible a reference would be desirable)?
    Thanks,
    Rolf

    RFC 1583 mode is the default on ASA. You can switch to RFC 2328 with the command "no compatible rfc1583".

  • Lesson BGP & OSPF path selection in VSS routing environment

    Hi, I would like a lesson on how traffic is passed in the following environment:
    One 3945 router with interfaces connected to a pair of 4500X switches configured as VSS pair. One link into each of the 4500 running as routed interfaces using separate IP subnets meaning there are two equal cost paths between the router and the 4500X.
    We are running a single OSPF area and iBGP between the devices.
    I would like to find out, in normal circumstances where both equal cost links are operating normally, how the 4500 selects the path to send a packet to the router.  We would be trying to avoid traffic passing through the VSL but want to know if the system is smart enough to do that.
    Is there somebody out there who can tell me if the VSS process will select the path directly to the router or if it cannot be guaranteed to do so.
    I also would like to get opinions on whether it is best to create two iBGP neighbour relationships on the link addresses or one relationship between the loopback addresses.
    Thanks
    LP

    Hi,
    The OSPF traffic would not pass through the VSL link.  The path would directly go from each 4500 to the 3945 (Equal cost load balancing). I think, the 3900 series supports Etherchannel, if this is the case you can also create a L-3 Portchannel between the VSS and 3945 router.  This way you use one /30 instead of 2 and you still have redundancy.  For BGP, I would do one peering with Loopbacks.

  • OSPF opaque (MPLS-TE)

    I have some question:
    1.MPLS traffic engineering use opaque (LSA type 9,10,11) to get eg. BW of the link!
    But in OSPF , when there is a change in an area, the LSA will flood to all. So if there is an application transfer a file on the link, the BW will change continuosly (?), so the LSA will flood and how can the CR-LDP know what information about BW on that link to use.
    2.In an multi-area OSPF network, which router will start the label distribution process??
    3.Is there any document about opaque with MPLS-TE. I try RFC3630 but it's very difficult to understand.

    Hello,
    MPLS TE is a pure control plane feature. So:
    A1) The announced bandwidth does only change when there is a new "booking". This means that only when a new tunnel is routed over a link, when a tunnel is removed from a link or when a link up/down event occurs flooding is needed. To control the amount of opaque LSAs, thresholds are used for the booking bandwidth value.
    The real bandwidth utilized at any moment in time is not taken into account by MPLS TE!
    A2) Every MPLS TE enabled router will send LSA 10 and ABRs will insert this info into other areas. So pretty much LSA generation and flooding does not deviate from "normal" OSPF LSAs.
    A3) I would also read "RFC 2370, The OSPF Opaque LSA Option".
    Hope this helps! Please rate all posts.

  • Understanding OSPF For MPLS Superbackbone.

    LSA1 is Router LSA And LSA2 is Network LSA.What is the difference between them?In which direction are they propogated?I need to understand it neatly as I am studying it for MPLS Superbackbone .

    In short, the router LSA is generated by all routers and describe all the connected interfaces on that router.
    The network LSA is generated by the Designated Router (DR) only and describe all the routers connected to the broadcast or NBMA network for which this router is the DR.
    If you need more information on what the LSA are for and the details of OSPF in general, I would recommend you read RFC2328.
    Here's the link for it:

  • How do I take a Server path and create it into a desktop, as a shortcut that points to the server?

    I understand that when I use keyboard shortcut command- K key this is a shortcut to connect to a server. What I'm trying to accomplish is to make the path of the server a desktop icon. I understand that I can drag the folder to the desktop and it will copy that folder. This is a very large file I want to create a path that point to the server. Can anyone explain this process to me as I've searched numerous blogs and other resources.

    Maybe this will help. If you monitor the "More Like This" box (top right), other threads appear. Opening them usually displays other threads.

  • Getting points / curves / paths break down of shape

    I'm trying to take a shape from illustrator and have the iOS graphics engine draw it without having to import the file. In order to do this, I need to somehow get a text break down of all the bezier paths / curves / points that comprise the shape so I can tell the iOS graphics engine the points that need to be drawn. Is there anyway to get a list of these points from illustrator?

    Scripting would be an option.

  • Where does path need to point?

    Hi,
    I compile my C program with a makefile. I link directly to c:\java\1421\bin\jvm.lib. I have a feeling my path is screwed up. What needs to be in my path in order for my JVM to work? does Jvm.dll need to be in my path? or something else? my exact code is simple, i just want to get the JVM to respond and then go from there, but i can't even get the simplest case to work. Any ideas?
    my initialization code:
    JNIEnv *env;
         JavaVM *jvm;
         static jclass cls;
         jint rc = 0;
         JavaVMInitArgs vm_args;
         JavaVMOption options[3];
         char strClassPathVar[109];
    sprintf(strClassPathVar, "-Djava.class.path=c:\\surs\\program\\c\\practice");
    options[0].optionString = "-Djava.compiler=NONE";
    options[1].optionString = strClassPathVar;
    options[2].optionString = "-Djava.library.path=.";
    vm_args.version = JNI_VERSION_1_4;
    vm_args.options = options;
    vm_args.nOptions = 3;
    vm_args.ignoreUnrecognized = JNI_FALSE;

    Have your PATH variable point to the bin directory under your jre.
