Payment refused

I have been subscribed to Skype for years and am on auto debit to my VISA every 3 months.  Today I received an email from Skype saying that the payment was refused.  There is lots of credit on the VISA so I am perplexed as why it was refused.  I do not want to create a new account and I do not want to give Skype another credit card.  Any suggestions would be helpful.  Thanks in advance for your support.

  • Payment refused, reactivate subscription error, Sk...

    Before the end of the subscription I got a message: Unlimited Europe 12 months  Status Refused
    I thought restore it when finished (I did a few years). When "Unlimited Europe 12 months" expired, I tried to reactivate.
    And here the problems started!!!

    My message to Skype Customer Service:
    On your web page is error due to I cannot reactivated Unlimited Europe 12 months subscription. Wen I click an "Reactivate" of "Your Unlimited Europe 12 months subscription has expired.", around writes "An internal error occurred." and "You're not able to purchase this product in your region." (see photos). I live in the EU / Slovakia and in this region I had active Unlimited Europe 12 months (see my purchase history https://secure.skype.com/wallet/account/orders).
    Please, can you reactivated / ordered this Unlimited Europe 12 months and make invoice Number, that I can pay?

    Tony, if you don’t change your payment details in time and your subscription expires, you have up to 90 days to reactivate it by updating the payment method. By doing this, you can maintain your current subscription settings.
    Moving forward, please try to update your credit card details on another browser as well or clear cache your current browser and do the steps again.
    If you have used a credit card to buy a subscription, you can change your credit card details as follows:
    1.  Sign in to your account.
    2.  Under Account details, click Manage features.
    3.  On the left panel, click your subscription.
    4.  Click Settings.
    5.  On the Subscription Settings page, click Change payment method....
    6.  To switch to another stored payment method, or Skype Credit, select it from the drop-down list and click the Save button....

  • Payment refused, subscription expiring today

    Hello there, 
                      I hope someone can assist me.  I currently have unlimited india calling plan. This product was discontinued sometime ago. However i still hold the subscription as i have been holding this subscription for a long time.
                               However on friday (day before yesterday) my payment for the subscription was refused due to my debit card not valid anymore.
                              I have spoken to the skype customer service via chat on friday and they advised me to update the card details which i did , and i was told the subscription will be renewed automatically which didnt happened.
                              I again spoke to the skype customer service yesterday and they advised me the same thing again to update the card details which  i did yesterday and i was confirmed the subscription will be renewed within 24 hours, which , when i checked today, didnt happened.
                              I spoke to the skype agent today again to renew my skype subscription , but agent advised me the same thing as other agents to update the details . I told him that i have already done that twice.
                                      Then he advised me to cancel my subscription and reactivate again. But i dont want to go this way, becoz if i cancel the subscription and then not being to to reactivate i will loose the product even for today.
                                   My skype subscription still says active in the account status. However no payment has been taken yet. and my subscription expires tonight.
                         Can someone kindly let me know what can i do to retain my subscription? as i dont want to loose it
    The thing i have done till now are :
    (1) updated my payment details twice
    (2) added three source of payment (1 using credit card, another using paypal, and the third using debit card
    i was advised by the agent , that the payment system is automated. Can someone let me know when the system will try to take the payment second time. as the first time being refused first time on friday?
       OR please someone can advice me a alternate way to retain my subscription?

    According to your account you have one Subscription - the Unlimited UK/India Plan - not the Unlimited India Plan. Please clarify. PayPal couldn't process your original order due to the expired credit card. As you have now updated your card you should resubmit your order. If you cancel a Plan which is no longer available or allow it to expire you will lose it permanently.

  • Skype Unlimited World Subscription Payment Refused

    If you have failed to pay due to credit card expiry or any other reason and once Skype has tried to charge you and they fail and cancel your subscription - you can't do anything to renew your subscription - or can you?
    I have wasted three days and umpteen hours trying to renew my refused payment cancelled subscription - but no luck. Today I had even a call from their customer service to personally tell me that they can not do anything for me. So thats that.
    But most annoying thing is that their own website says this -
    "If your credit card expires (or the payment fails for any other reason), we will let you know that the recurring payment failed, and give you time to change your payment method and keep your subscription running. 
    If you don’t change your payment details in time and your subscription expires, you have up to 90 days to reactivate it by updating the payment method. By doing this, you can maintain your current subscription settings."

    My annual payment is about to expire on October 31, 2014.  I noticed I needed to update credit card information.  I did so.  Went to pay for the annual subscription. It was refused.  Thought maybe it was refused due to SKYPE being outside of the United States. I called the credit card to tell them to accept a charge from SKYPE they said it was not on their end.  Went to try to pay again.  I can not find a link or place on account that allows me to pay.   DOES ANY ONE HAVE SUGGESTIONS?!

I have entered a valid credit card (master card) and it has always worked.Since it was refused, I entered the same credit card number again and nothing seems to change.   • Payment refusal

    Why on earth is it so hard to make a simple payment to Skype.... Or contact with customer service directly?!!! I need to renew my skype number subscription. I have been trying to renew it for the past few days, but won't accept my payment. Tomorrow my number expires. I don't want to loose it. I need to contact via email with Skype (tried the chat, it did not work). Please can anyone help me? Thanks

    Hello and welcome to the Skype Community.
    1. Allow your Skype Number to expire. You won't lose your number -- it will be held on your account for reactivation for 90 days following the expiration date.
    2. After it expires visit your account page.  You should be presented with a triangle icon with an exclamation mark inside it and be greeted with the message that your Skype Number subscription has expired.  Click on the "Reactivate" link and proceed to "renew". You should now be able to renew your number.

  • Contacting skype via email regarding payment issue

    I would like someone to contact me via email regarding the following issue:
    I received a notification my account with Skype has been canceled.  I surmise that for some reason or another Citibank has not been sending payment via electronic payment per my contract with SKYPE.
    I have contacted Citibank just now via email, sending then the following message.
    (please email me back with your contact phone numbers so I can resolve this unfortunate incident or issue which I have first heard about an hour ago via an email to me from SKYPE)
    Received this from your accounting operations.
    Something wrong here as the payments are suppose to be make automatically when they g3et near the ten dollar mark.
    I have not been following payment as it has been done automatically-and this is the first notification.
    How can this be?  This amount shown is very strange and very incredulous to be this high unless Citibank Guam Visa has been not paying the amounts when charged by SKYPE.
    Obviously if this is true, for about the past five or so months by my estimate this has been happening.
    What is perplexing is that the credit card is still good and ca not understand how it was’t paid.
    Could you send me the past 2012 payments so I can see what has been going on?
    I will send this on to Citibank as an inquiry.
    Anyway, I do not want to cancel my SKYPE account.

  • Cannot Update payment .. support so far have hung up or referred me to phone again

    I have a working perfectly good card .. funds available etc ..
    On my CC account I have been informed it was unable to be billed.
    For the past 5 days, support have told me that the phone people will sort this .. so far I have held for 3 hours ... only to have the calls disconnected or passed to another department that then hangs up on me. This is the UK support number ...
    All the payment account update shows is : 
    We're sorry, something seems to be wrong on our end. Please try again later.
    So how on earth do I pay adobe or give them my details as I cannot for the life of me figure out how this company can blame me for payment refusal when it is impossible to rectify the issue. This has been ongoing since the 18th of September now!
    Oh I would also like to point out that the live chat team blamed me for the above message on 3 occasions ... although using 4 different browser types over 2 operating systems.
    Seriously I had no issues with a box and disks! Now I have an issue where there is a big deadline that will no doubt co-incie with the day adobe cancels my ability to use the CC.
    If there is an Adobe support agent reading these, can I say very clearly that so far in terms of customer support I feel completly let down ... last night I was promised to be transferred to the billing department within "a couple of minutes after a 25min hold .. only to hold another 30 mins to hear the phone slam down.
    PLEASE LET ME PAY FOR MY PRODUCTS!!

    Why can't you all who work at adobe support figure up that the paymentproblem are not a issue for one dumb costumer. It's a problem in your system. Are you not wondering why so much CC's  can't pay because of wrong Credicard-details, they can't change? It's cross over the community. It's nothing about a wrong browser (is it not Adobe which can handle websites over system- and browserboundries?) It's nothing about to find the right link in the clickdjungle. Them who get the fail do not can update the card-details already have found the right way but get " Sorry its our fault, please try later". Hey you are Adobe, who will sell us systems who are wordleading to build websites. Or you not?
    If the folk on telephone not able to fix it easer, its not a game its business or have you changed the direction? Then tell it.
    I have still 2 weeks to get my carddetails fixad. And if not it will be suspendet, like other who already have contacted Adobe about that issue?
    If thousend of Creditcardnumbers are stolen and the cardissuer are changed all that card for security reasons maybe you get thousend askings about to change payment details.

  • My online number (part of my subscription) isn't a...

    Yesterday or something earlier, my recurring subscription has been cancelled because of payment refused. My online number has been immediately deactivated as is shown in Skype number tab. Reactivate link redirect me into payment form, but this number is a part of subscription ! Subscription is still valid !

    Did you buy PSE 7 as a download or as a set of discs?
    PSE 9 was available in 2011 so I suspect you might have the disc set as I doubt Adobe would be selling older versions.
    I believe that in the days of PSE 7, the download version and disc version had a different range of serial numbers and the two could not be interchanged.
    If your serial number is for a disc version, then you need the installation discs to install it on your new system.

    I received the email below today, the page the link tried to load was Russian.  I've recently been the victim of actual fraudulent use of my Skype account so I'm tempted to think that someone has access to Skype user records.  There is no record of any transaction on either Skype or PayPal.  The 'To' field contained my real email address.  I've also forwarded this to PayPal.

  • How do I reinstate Skype Number?

    I am experiencing the same problem.  There is no reinstate button on my page either.  They started bombarding my email with payment refused all on the same day and when I logged into my email I had never received any of these notices that were backdated until the date of the actual expiraton of the account.  I logged into the account and updated my payment information.  However it still is not allowing me to reinstate the number.  Went to the customer service support page where you can send an email and when I click on the topic to put one in the computer takes me back to the log in page like a viscious circle.  I am unable to send them an email.  Very upset and irritated beause they should have sent out notices two weeks prior to cancellation so that I could have updated the information.  I have had this skype number for over 5 years.  I am in mainland China and I am sure the monitoring of the internet here has something to do with the viscious circle to get in touch with them by email

    Here is the thing with Skype Number subscriptions: now that you have changed or updated your payment method, your current Skype Number subscription will need to be cancelled or allowed to expire before you can sign on to your account dashboard to reinstate your Skype Number, refreshing the subscription, using the new payment method.
    So, the next step is to sign on to your account dashboard once again to determine the date your current Skype Number subscription expires.
    Your number will be held on account for 90 days following the current subscription's expiration date, so you have time to log in and start your subscription again.

    I'm going to move this post over to the Creative Cloud forum, which handles all of the subscription questions.  From an initial look, it looks like that Creative Cloud will charge monthly instead of a one-time charge for the entire year, but you should get a confirmation from the staff in that forum before taking me at my word.
