PCUI interface making it offline

Dear experts,
We are using a standard business package PCUI in portal.
is their a option where in the user can enter data in offline mode and then later synchronize with server when he connects.
If yes what are the different components we need to consider and install.
please provide me some links.
thanks and regards
Neel

Hi,
I don't think it is possible to work with PCUI interface while you are offline.
If you want to work offline you will have to implement CRM Mobile solution wherein you can work while offline and save. When you connect to the CRM system the data replication is automatically done in that case.

  • Error making recording offline

I have tried doing "make offline" on multiple recording, on multiple computers and keep having the same error:
About 1 minutes into the recording, the video becomes very narrow, messing up the aspect ratio and making it unwatchable. I'm not able to turn any of my meetings in watchable files.
I've tried this on MAC/PC, windows xp, vista and 7. Also tried different resolutions on my computer screen, still the same problem.
Does anyone know how to resolve this?

What are you trying to print and what is your operating system on the computer you are using? Does it take a long time to print from your computer or the iPad? Have you had this issue for long?
For now I am going to recommend we remove and reinstall the software onto your computer as a preliminary step.
First if you use a USB cord, make sure to remove it. Do not plug it back in until the software directs you to. Then go through the Devices and Printers, Programs and Features and Device Manager folders and insure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. Then as directed, restart the computer.
In the START menu type "%temp%" and press ENTER. Here I want you to press Ctrl+A and hit DELETE. Some of the files will not allow you to delete them, skip those files and delete the majority that allows it.
Then follow this link to download the full feature software and drivers for the printer:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=4323648
Install that and let me know the result!
    Have a great day!

  • Premiere randomly making files offline

    System Specs:
    Mac quad core
    12 GB Ram
2 LaCie extrenal 6TB HD connected via firewire 800
Footage from RED1 and RED MX
I am currently editing a feature length film shot on RED. I have about 9,000 clips in the project. Everytime I startup premiere and open the project many of the R3D files show up as offline that where online when previously open. This happens again and again. Here is what I have tried:
    - I cleaned out the media cache folder
    - Open the project and allowed permiere to reconform all the files
    - Tired checking on and off the create XMP checkbox
Nothing has helped. Sometimes, after I reimport the R3D I have to click out of the program then back into it again before Premiere will build the .cfa file. Any ideas on how to get the file links to stay connected? Thanks.

Thank you for reporting. That info will likely help others.
I use FW-800's, and have not experienced any issues, BUT I am on a PC, and my Projects are NOT RED, but SD, so probably really big differences there.
Appreciated, and glad that you got the media back On-line.

  • Making files Offline

When I archive video in Final Cut Pro I make files offline by choosing Modify> Make offline. The Final Cut Express HD 3.5 manual says to do the same thing but it isn't showing in the drop down menu. Any advice?

OK. I guess we should use our FCP editing stations when we may want to go back to edit the original projects and FCexpress when one time editing is more likely. Too bad this would have made life so much easier if they both worked the same.
Thanks again for your help on this. I work for a newspaper that is trying to get up to speed on video production and we are learning as we go. We can't afford to buy FCP on every editing station with revenues being so low right now and thought FCE would be a good substitute. I guess it still will but with limitations.

  • Environments Sporadically making themselves offline

    All -
Got a customer with BPC MS 10.0 Service Pack 11, SQL Server 2008 and Excel 2010.  Two environments.
They've been noticing lately (last few weeks) that their environments keep turning themselves offline, sporadically and for no rhyme or reason.  While the admins ultimately go in and turn the system back online, it's a nuisance to do so, and because they have scheduled jobs that often run at night during off-hours, they come in first thing in the morning to find out those jobs haven't run.
Could a back-end change have caused this in any way?  Any updates or things to look at on the SQL Server or app server/dB server?

    Hello Karthik,
Please note that this may happen when IIS server is down.
For more details, please refer to SAP Note 2087189 - BPC MS 10.0 Error: Environment shell is not
    available.
    I hope this helps.
    Thanks & best regards,
    Nedra.

The add-in is version 11.2.385 from July 2013. I've tried uninstalling that version and reinstalling an add-in from this page (http://www.adobe.com/support/connect/downloads-updates.html) for Adobe Connect 8. That add-in at least allows me to launch my webcam, but it crashes 10-15 seconds later and Adobe Connect restarts.
With the new add-in (the first one I referred to), the entire Adobe Connect session shuts down when I click to "allow" Adobe Connect to use my webcam. It never starts it at all.
It's crashing with both internal and external cameras. It's more the clicking "allow" that crashes it, I think, because I've tried both. I prefer to use my internal camera on my new Asus laptop.
And WOW, it DOES work as it should when launching in browser. Thank you for that piece of advice.

  • E-mail Actions for CRM-PCUI-CASE

    Dear expets,
I am struggling to trigger an email after saving a CASE in PCUI interface.
I tried with processing type SMART FORMS and METHOD.
But nothing is working. I could trigger emails for GUI based applications which are working fine.
Please help me to resolve the issue.Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.
    Best regards

    Hi Raghu,
Check u r configuration for action defination,
    ProcessingTime(On Saving)
Parter Dependent(E-mail id maintained for Partner)
    Processing Type (Smart Forms Mail)
Form (Assign u r smart form)
    Assign correct Processing Class and
    Processing Method
In action condition specifies condition if any.
Now check, it should work in GUI and PCUI as well
    Thanks

  • PCUI: functionality creating activities in Opportunity missing

    Hi,
we are using the PCUI interface. On tab Activities of an Opportunity (iView Opportunities) there are no buttons in the toolbar for adding or deleting an entry. I would like to add those as in Accounts->tab Activities.
So what I have done is
    1. create new toolbar group ZOPP_ACT
    2. add events ADD_LINE and REMOVE_LINE to the toolbar group
    3. in Application Layout (application CRMD_BUS2000111) added the toolbar to event OPP_HD_ACT in Detail area 1
I see the buttons now, but they are not working properly. I cannot delete an enty, and when clicking "add entry", a new line is created, but cannot be saved (i.e. when clicking enter, it is removed).
Do I miss something? Or is this functionality at that place simply not possible?
    Your inputs are very welcome.
    Regards,
    Erik

    Thanks Sven,
I have thought so, but I hoped that this funtionality is already implemented in the model access class "CL_CRM_BSP_AM_HEADOM_1O" which is used here.
This model access class is also used in the tabs "Sales Team", Partner, Competitors which all have the Add Entry event/button.
However, I believe the MODIFY and SAVE methods just do not support the entry of an activity. And I either extend those or write an own access class for handling activity entries (add line, remove line) like in Business Partner's access class "CL_BSP_ACC_ACCMOD_ACTIVITY".
Am I on the right track?
    Regards,
    Erik

  • Offline edit, timecode and nested sequence question

I'm working from DVcam dubs on a 10 song, 5 camera video shoot. It will be mastered from original HDCam tapes eventually. Too keep things orderly I planned to create a sequence for each song, edit from a multiclip, then dump each finished song segment into a new master segment. However when I ran a test to see if this would work it seems that the new master sequence time codes only refer to the time codes from the individual song sequences, not the original tape (each clip starts at 01:00:00;00). Thus when I go to recapture from the original HD tapes, the time codes would be off. Is there a way to make this process work or should I be editing everything into one master sequence right from the start? I plan on making an offline copy of the final sequence using Media Manager so when I take it to the final production house they can just capture the final sequence with handles, not all 6 hours of tape. It's just cuts and dissolves. Any workflow suggestions would be appreciated.
    G5 Quad   Mac OS X (10.4.5)   4.5G RAM, DSR-11

The clips should still reference their original timecode on the tapes as long as you have not replaced the clips themselves with proxy clips or self-contained movies that have had their timecode modified. This should not be affected by nesting sequences.
You should probably collapse your multiclips before running Media Mangler.
I actually use the proxy clips method often when working with multiclip. As you are aware, the multiclip can only be as long as the longest angle, and you cannot have multiple clips in one angle, so what to do if several tapes are captured in pieces? -
I create a sequence which is an image of each tape, with the starting timecode modified to match the tape's timecode. I then export these to reference movies which I re-import to FCP. I then assign the relevant reel names to these proxy clips, and create my longer multiclips with these.
I cut my multiclip sequence, collapse it and use MM to create offline:remove unused. It creates a new sequence which correctly references my tapes and timecode. I was amazed the first time this worked for me.
    Hope this helps.

  • Multiple audio drivers / interfaces

logic 7.2 update manual states that 'Logic Pro supports plug and play for audio interfaces, making it possible to connect and switch on a new/additional audio interface while Logic is running. ..'
When I hit 'use' on the alert it swaps the driver - I can't see an option for running more than 1.
I am using MOTU 896HD and Mackie Onyx 1640 mixer with firewire option.
Both work independently just fine. What am I missing?
    Thanks

Bugs aside, if it's VERY noisy, that might just be the out-of-sync problem (something I'm very familiar with now).
Search the forum for "aggregate sync" and you should get some clues, if this is indeed the problem.
Short of it is, you need to sync the two devices together. Easiest way seems to be to connect the two devices via S/PDIF and set Clock Source to S/PDIF for the "slave" device (set in Audio Midi).
You can also just set the Clock Source as the "master" device in the drop down, bypassing the need for the S/PDIF cable altogether, but I haven't tried this myself.

  • Suggestion: User Interface(UI)

    Hello Everybody!
Not long ago I found a chap online who has done incredible work by reinventing the current iOS user interface making it way more easier to use.
Ha made a short but very well-presenting video for his project. It's wonderful.
I fell in love with this concept and I would like to suggest Apple to use ideas from this conception because
    it's simple
    it's just works

  • Build Fails for Alsaplayer in ABS

    Hi all,
I couldn't get alsaplayer to run in GUI mode, but I found this thread that had the answer: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=42168.  So I followed the ABS wiki's directions for setting up ABS and I tried to run for alsaplayer (with the one line change in the PKGBUILD) , but the build fails after configuring.  Here's the full console output:
aclocal.m4:14: error: this file was generated for autoconf 2.61.
You have another version of autoconf. If you want to use that,
you should regenerate the build system entirely.

I figure it's those 2 errors in the middle of make that are holding it up, but I don't have a clue how to fix it.

If you know how to write a patch or feel like learning, put one together, file a bug report, and submit the patch with it. If you don't feel like writing a patch, just submit a bug report that says that app/ContolSocket.cpp needs "include <climits>" to build. Either way is good.

  • Jabber and iChat

    Hi All
A question re iChat and Jabber accounts. I assume that when one has a conversation between two Jabber accounts using the iChat interface that it is using the Jabber protocol (XMPP) and not the AIM protocol. Is my understanding correct? If am I correct, has anyone noticed whether the Jabber protocol is more successful at completing calls (audio or video) between Macs and Windows PCs? Is Gmail Jabber still intra-Gmail only?
    Cheers
    Steve

Ok. So if I only have a Google Talk Jabber account I can't open gateways anyway. Understood - it's on its way. And we're not sure about Mac to PC over Jabber. iChat still controls the Jabber XMPP call leading to reduced quality than potentially possible.
BTW I think iChat gets itself in a real mess if you flick between using AIM video and Jabber video. As I noted in another thread I had a Mac-Mac AIM call with a friend and then we tried Jabber each using the iChat interface. The Jabber call seemed about the same quality - again with the iChat interface making poor use of bandwidth. When we tried to go back to an AIM video call we could not complete initially because I "failed to respond" and then, after we each deactivated the Jabber accounts, the AIM conversation simply got stuck at "starting".
So far I see the following with iChat:
    1. Mac to Mac: poor use of available bandwidth leading to sub quality calls vs what could be achieved if available bandwidth were utilised.
    2. Poor integration of Jabber. Simply not well thought out (two windows instead of one etc) and badly executed (iChat gets tied in knots).
    3. Almost impossible Mac to PC audio/video communication.
    Are you listening yet Apple?

  • Java (.jar) applications and games on 5530XM

    Hello
I have used the search option before asking, and I have manually searched some of the sub-forums (or boards) I thought could and would be relevant to my issue, and have seen no similar questions being asked. I have also worked with my good friend Google, and had no luck there, either. Most of the results were pirated software links, which is not necessarily bad, but does not help me resolve my issue.
Now, I'm not sure this is the correct board to post this in, but I'm not too far off even if it isn't; so bear with me. Now, onto the question.
I would like to know if it is possible to turn off the D-Pad emulator, and how one would go about doing that?
Let me elaborate, for those who are not familiar with what I'm talking about:
Namely, the 5530XM has an elegant solution for running non-touch apps and games (i.e.. those made for earlier revisions of the S60 OS, or even those legacy apps for S40), and it is as follows - the phone places the app/game interface in a window, scaled to the apps original rendering resolution, and then places a set of touch command buttons. It makes a Directional Pad, consisting of concentric circles, divided into 5 areas, 4 directions (up, down, left, right), and a general "OK" button (center). It also displays four "Letter-buttons", labeled "A", "B", "C" and "D", which have variable or no functions, depending on the app that is run. Finally it displays two function buttons, Left and Right Menu buttons, usually placed near the red and green phone button on phones with keypads. This works flawlessly for old apps and games, with the limitation that the interface is not multi-touch, meaning it will only accept one virtual keypress at a time.
My problem with this setup is that some of the more recent Java applications are run as legacy as well; meaning ALL of the touch-aware apps and games that I have tried running. This is unacceptable for several reasons. First, some of them don't recognize the simulated commands, rendering the virtual D-Pad useless. What's more, the virtual interface covers a good portion of the app's original interface, making it impossible to use it. The apps and games I have tried are shipped as .jar, and are supposed to work with a touch interface. And they do, it's only that they're half-covered with an unneeded virtual D-Pad!
I am open for all suggestions, I have the latest firmware installed, 20.0.080.C01.01, the phone is, as mentioned, 5530 XM (RM-604), and I haven't manually altered Java in any way. I am, however, ready and willing to go for some more serious tinkering if need be, even if it involves altering system files, hex editing and whatnot, and I won't cry to mama if I brick the phone, I know full well the range and scope of possible consequences. This would probably constitute breaking the rules, maybe even voiding the warranty, so I'm not asking for anyone to give an answer of that level here, publicly, but feel free to send a personal message or ask for my e-mail / IM screen name, so that we can communicate about such taboo topics
One more note, probably relevant: .sis and .sisx apps and games work flawlessly, bot the old ones needing the D-Pad (they get a virtual one) and the new ones, which are correctly recognized as touch-capable. Even some that are reported incompatible by the phone work without a hitch. It really is a pity to see the Java apps fail after everything else is flawless.
Perhaps, if there is no known solution or a dirty workaround, we can file an official recommentadion/bug report/feature request to the developers in charge? I can wait.
Thanks to those brave enough to read my wall of text, and thanks in advance to all who reply something useful
Careful what you wish for... You just might get it.
    Solved!

Can't believe I missed that one... You truly are a "Mobile Overlord".
Although that kinda sounds like there is a Fixed/Immobile Overlord out there
Anyway. Kudos for this, I suppose there are others who would find this useful as well.
    Thanks again

  • Icon Size in Word

I posted this in the Office Discussion Group at Microsoft.com, but after three days there were no replies. So I'm hoping that this much more reliable forum will be of help. I have recently installed Office 2004 for Mac. When a new blank Word document is brought up, the icons in the toolbar are VERY small (cut, copy, paste, print, etc, etc) . Is there a way to choose "Large Icons"? When I was using Word 2002 on the XP side of my Parallels-equipped iMac there was a provision for large icons under toolbar customization. But I don't see that in Office 2004. Can someone help me?

There is no way to change the size of the toolbar icons in Office 2004 or 2008. However the buttons you have listed all have drop dead easy keyboard shortcuts and they are system wide. Cut ⌘-X, Copy ⌘-C, Paste ⌘-V, and Print ⌘-P. Learning those basic keyboard shortcuts will greatly reduce your dependence on the toolbar and increase your overall productivity since you can use those keyboard shortcuts system wide.

Microsoft is notorious for providing non-standard and highly confusing user interface elements. The mac, for the most part, has a very consistent user interface making it much easier to learn.
