Photoshop Elements 12 Organizer won't load

PSE 12 Organizer won't load.  Only Editor will load.  First time using it.

I have the same problem after upgrading to PSE12 about a week ago.  I'm running Win7.  When I try to open the Organizer, an error message says the catalog is in use by another propbgram.  I uninstalled and deactivated PSE11, thinking the Organizers might be in conflict, rebooted, but no luck.  Any ideas?

    Hi,
    Please try resetting preferences?
On Windows: Goto %appdata%\Adobe\Elements Organizer\12.0\Organizer folder and rename the files “psa.prf” (to say psa_old.prf) and “status.dat” (to say status_old.dat).
Try launching Organizer and see if it launches fine.

  • Photoshop Elements 10 won't load

    Hi
I've installed Photoshop Elements 10.  When I try to load the program it seems to load, but as soon as it opens it shuts down again.  After this has happened once, it won't load at all unless I restart my computer.  I've re-installed the program multiple times, but it hasn't made any difference.
    Can you help?

I'm running Windows 7 Professional on an Alienware 14X.  Its got an i7 processor and 16GB RAM.  It works if I load from the editor, but not if I try and load any other way.

  • Photoshop Elements Organizer won't launch

In Photoshop Elements 8.0 I attempted to order photo prints through Shutterfly. The transfer never completed. Now when I open Photoshop Elements and click on Organize, the Organizer never launches. I would like to retrieve all the folders of photos I have organized, captioned, made into CDs, etc. with Photoshop, but I cannot get the Organizer to open. I have tried to use all suggestions found to date on the forums with no success. Can anyone help me get my Organizer opened?

Please try steps listed on blog: http://psekb.blogspot.in/2013/03/pse-organizer-is-not-launching.html
Please let me know if it is still not working for you.

  • Photoshop elements 12 won't load on 2nd computer

Got PE12 for Christmas and have loaded it on desktop (for home use) and am trying to load it on laptop (for travel use).  Won't load.  Took multiple attempts (5) to finally get it to load on desktop.

Intel Core 2 Processer - 2.2 GHz, 4 GB Memory, NVidia GeForce 8600 graphics, Windows 7 on both computer.  Both Desktop and Laptop have Photoshop CS 5 installed and are usable.
Got out external DVD drive and connected it to 2 different USB ports.  Progress bar at top showed that it was reading the drive until it got to just of 50% and then message 'Please insert disk in DVD drive'
Think there is a problem with the disk.  FYI, the serial number for the software is <removed>.  I have not registered this software after installing it on the desktop, rather wanted to get it installed on both first.

  • Photoshop Elements Organizer Won't Install

I just purchased Photoshop Elements 10 and have installed it but the organizer isn't installed.  I have tried installing from the DVD and also copied all install files to a directory and installed from there with the same result--no organizer!
I'm running Windows 7 on a new HP computer so that shouldn't be a problem.  I registered the program.
The main reason I wanted this program was for the organizer and I'm very disappointed that it isn't there!
Has anyone else had this problem?
    Pat

Did you ever get this resolved?  I'm having the same problem.  The editor works fine, but when I click on the organizer, nothing happens and I can tell from the install files that the organizer did not install properly.  So far the only response I've gotten is inquiry about my OS.
If you got it resolved, would you mind sharing the procedures?
    Thanks,
    Brian

  • Photoshop elements organizer won't open

I've tried opening the Organizer from the task bar, the Welcome Screen, and from inside the Editor, but nothing happens. Help!

    Hi
I think you need to contact Adobe directly (I have done this recently and the team were brilliant – they took over my computer and the issue was resolved) using the link below. Use the dropdown menu for boxes (1) & (2) to scroll down the list and choose:
    1. Adobe Photoshop Elements
    2. Adobe ID, and signing-in
    3. Click on the blue button: Still need help? Contact us – then click the area marked chat 24/7, then click “start chat ”
It’s usually possible to start a live chat, if an Adobe agent is free, and often to get the problem fixed right away. Ask to be transferred to technical support. Have your serial number available. The agent can directly troubleshoot your system if you agree to activate the Adobe Connect add-on.

  • Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 won't load

    Hi,
I just received PSE-8 DVD. I found that the DVD player reads something but never get the program to install loaded.
    1-WIN XP-PRO SP3.
    2-Norton INternet Security 2010
    3-3GHZ processor.
    4-Gigabyte DVD player
5-I have no other installation problems(PSE-4 installed OK, still installed).
6-I have disabled NIS 2010 Antivirus/Firewall/Tampering & used MSCONFIG to not load startup items as well as non-Microsoft services, no luck.
7-If I rightclick on DVD drive-e, My Computer hangs, and if I view Taskmanager the result is "Not Responding"
      >I have tried a music DVD, no problems.
      >To get rid of no response I must eject the DVD.
Can I accept the Adobe DVD must be faulty ? It states XP/Vista/WIN7.
    Thanks
    Chris

Try using Windows Explorer to copy the contents of the DVD to a folder on your desktop.  If that doesn't work, then there's an incompatibility between the DVD and your drive.  If you have access to another computer, try copying the DVD contents there to a flash drive or external drive.  If Windows Explorer on two different computers can't copy the DVD, then you know it's the disk that's the problem, and you should ask the seller for a replacement.  If the other computer can copy the DVD, then it's likely that the fault is with your DVD drive.
If you can successfully copy the contents of the DVD to a folder on your desktop or a drive, then you can double-click setup.exe in the copy to install it.

  • Photoshop Elements Organizer won't open on Windows 7

It was working fine one day, I was adding pictures and actually was ordering prints through
Shutterfly and came back to computer and organizer wouldn't open.  Any suggestions with
    out reloading software?
    Pam

Actually I found the problem after searching through the forum list - it was the solution to reset the organizer's online-services state.
Right, that was the step 7 I referred to.
Is there a known problem with this feature?  I definitely am leery of ordering prints through the organizer field again.
Yes, it's been a known problem in the Organizer since at least PSE 6 (2007), with an Adobe tech note describing the problem and the workaround:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/405/kb405252.html
Like most bugs in the Organizer, Adobe has explicitly chosen not to fix it.
The problem appears to occur when an upload to a service is interrupted or fails.  The workaround, deleting those files, seems pretty reliable.

  • Help appreciated. Using Mac OSX 10.9.5.  Photoshop Elements 11 won't load returns error 213:5 (Problem has occurred with licensing of this product)

Have tried following but no solution so far:
    1. Uninstall and reinstall
2.Removed com.adobe.photoshopElements.Plist, and further uninstall and reinstall
    3. Set up new admin account (to address possible missing permissions) and launched PSE 11 but same problem
4.Booted in safe mode to exclude possible plug in issues- no difference
(Adobe Premier Elements 11 still works fine).  I suspect the PSE 11 problem is license key related??? but can't find any further info and am at a loss what to do next.
Any suggestions for a fix would be most appreciated

That error means there is a critical crash or signature error in the licensing system. Could be that you may need to check your system's security certificates, firewall and other things...

  • Photoshop Elements 8 won't load properly

When I activate the program I notice that the cursor is flicking between a + and the blue spinning Windows 7 circle.  Any change that I try to perform doesn't function....example...if I try to crop a photo, I can create the frame but it has no handles and will disappear if I try to enlarge it.  Has 8 run its course?

The first thing to try when PSE goes weird is to re-build the Preferences:  Hold down your Ctrl+Alt+Shift keys when launching the Editor, and you'll get a prompt to delete the Preferences.  Answer "Yes", and the preferences will be re-built.  (If you don't see the prompt, minimize any PSE window to reveal the prompt window.)
The spinning cursor when the Editor launches is normal -- PSE is checking a lot of things:  whether the most recently used files still exist, the plugins that are installed, etc.

  • Organizer in Photoshop Elements 9 won't import large NEF files

Photoshop Elements 9 won't import the NEF fiels from my new Nikon D800.

Yes, the camera is too new for PSE9. You will have to either:
    Upgrade to PSE11
Download the free Adobe DNG Converter Version 7.3 and use that to convert your NEFs to DNGs, and then PSE9 will be able to import them
Use the Nikon software to convert the file to TIF, then import into PSE.
