Photosmart 309 cannot print on 5.5 x 8.5 paper - using windows 8

I am trying to print thank you notes on 5.5 x 8.5 card stock. Even if I put a custom size on page set up in Microsoft Publisher, printer says paper is wrong size.

After checking out the printer specifications for your Photosmart c309a model, the size of card stock you are trying to print on is not supported.

hi all, my lap top has broken down, using an iPad2 i can print with airprint perfectly ok onto a4 paper. i select a file from my iPads photo stream, it is obviously a photo, but it is a screen shot and i want it printed onto a4 plain paper, my 6510 insists on me putting a photo sized glossy paper in, so it wont print anything on a4 plain paper ! perhaps i should add the printer is brand new and i have just taken it out of the box later i have tried to print the same picture using eprint, same result, why cant i print a picture onto A4 size paper ? Hi TIMMYTOAD,
AirPrint does not have any formatting capability and ePrint is very limited. I would download and install the HP ePrint Home & Biz app from the App Store. It will allow you to select paper size, image size, paper type and paper source.

Since there are no mid-2013 Retina models (as per Apple - Support - Technical Specifications), assuming this is your Mac - MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013) - Technical Specifications - the same should work for you.

HP Photosmart premium not printing correct colors or contrast on photo paper.

My HP Photosmart Premium does not print correct colors or contrast level on photographs using photo paper. This happens with using most any application and setting the paper type to one of the photo papers... By using MS PhotoAlbum and selecting the photo tray then forcing "regular paper", I can get a somewhat decent print (this trick only works with MS PhotoAlbum). When I setup to any of the "photo paper" types, I do not get correct colors or contrast levels (even if the print preview looks good).
I have the same issue with 8.5 x 11 inch photopaper. Unless I select "regular paper" as the paper type, I get incorrect color and contrast (even if the preview looks good). The ICC "Color Profiles" look to be OK (at least the titles are correct).
Anyone have any ideas?

Try the troubleshooting steps in this page. My bet would be the Photo cartridge (the black with the bow tie symbol) is out of ink. This is only used when photo paper is selected, for plain paper printing the regular black cartridge is used.

I cannot print any page from firefox 3.6.17, using Mac OS

All of a sudden I cannot print pages from Firefox. I cannot even print e-mails. I am on Mac OS 10.5.8 using Firefox 3.6.17. All I get is blank pages. I can, however, print from Safari.

I did as benshaine posted in his thread here: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/789780 I installed Firefox 3.5.10 to my desktop, printed from 3.5.10 and then went back into 3.6.x and I could print.

I works with 8x11.5 but not the smaller size. I don't want the entire web page just parts of it so I highlight it and try to print selection but It won't work. Trying to save paper using smaller size.

Are you setting the paper size preference to 4x6 size paper thru Firefox?
You need to initiate printing - {Ctrl + P}, then check to make sure your printer is selected in the Printer - Name dialog window, then hit the Properties button. Go to the tab for Paper Size and select the 4x6 size, if your printer software offers that size to choose from. That setting with be held in Firefox until you select a different paper size.

Photosmart C6180 cannot print black

I have tried to clean the printer head and do the different adjustments but nothing helps. Haved tried with two different black colors but nothing helps.
I saw the other thread about removing the printer head and wash it but first of all I am not sure this is correct to do for this model and second.... I really cannot figure out how to do it :-) no easy way to get into the printerhead as far as I have been able to figure out.
So if anyone could help it would be great :-)

For the C7280 - have you checked the ink levels are ok? Have you run the clean print cartridge utility? More details in the link below; also check out the section titled Missing Colors

HP Photosmart B209a: Cannot print 4 x 6ins photographs

When I attempt to print photographs using the upper photograph paper tray, the tray draws back and forth as though the paper will be drawn in to print but then I am always given the message to reinsert and lower the paper tray. I cannot see any way to have the paper tray inserted other than it is. Other printing using the lower tray is performed as it should.

HP Photosmart 6510 cannot print in Parallels for Mac using Windows 7

I currently use the above model of printer with my Macbook (OSX Mountain Lion) and have no problems printing with the MAC.
The problem is when I am in virtual machine mode (Parallels Desktop 8) and trying to print from Windows 7.
Although it seems to be recognising the printer, it is telling me the printer is 'offline: 1 document waiting'.
The Parallels support pages say that printers should work automatically.
Can anyone help?

Sounds like a bit of a mixed setup here, where you are using a Macintosh with Windows loaded onto the system. My first question is on the profile you are working with have you loaded the appropriate drivers from the website for the Windows machine? Here is a link for that :

Why is my web page magnifying or reducing? The size of the script changes and I cannot reduce or magnify the size? I am using Windows 7.

Cannot connect to Exchange server (Small Business Server 2008) using Windows 8.1 and Outlook 2013

I am at my wits end. I have got a new PC running Windows 8.1 and Outlook 2013 simply WILL NOT connect to my work Exchange server. The REALLY annoying thing is that the Windows Mail client inbuilt to Windows 8.1 works perfectly! But I have to have Outlook
for the functionality. The issue appears to be that in Outlook 2013 on Windows 8.1, it tries to be clever and auto-detect the settings whereas Windows Mail allows you to input the server and domain names.
I have tried all the suggestions already on some of the boards - manual setup, etc - nothing works! Is it a compatibilityissue with SBS 2008 and Outlook 2013? Any help appreciated!

There's no issue with O'2013 connecting with Ex '2007. Also not clear about comments of "auto-detect" versus "....have tried all the suggestions ............ manual setup....". On the one hand your stating that only "auto-detect" is available and on the
other that you've tried "manual settings" (which definitely is an option in O'2013 for EX accounts).
This may have more to do with the fact that you're using a new computer trying to connect to the server which it may not be configured for - something your admin will need to address.
Given that your question is in reference to Exchange - you are likely to get a better/faster answer in the following forum which deals with Exchange server related questions:

Cannot print with HP Officejet 6100 with latest version of Firefox

Since I received the latest version of Firefox I cannot print anything that's online. I'm using Windows 7.

Thank you for your help. When I try the "reset firefox printer setting" and type "print" in the search field, I get the settings for the two previous computers and the current one. If I type "print-printer", I get a blank page. Also the menu button disappears. If I click on the setting, "delete" is not one of the options. If I try to"reset all firefox printer setting" and click on "show folder" under application basics, a list of files and folders opens. the prefs.js file is only 23KB (JScript Script File) long and cannot be opened, so I cannot remove any lines that start with "print".

When you say you cannot print, do you see any error? Please use Print button from Reader toolbar instead of Safari > Print.
What is your Safari version? You can find it from Safari > About Safari
Can you please verify Safari > Help > Installed Plugins : Do you see Adobe Acrobat NPAPI Plug-in, Version 11.0.06?

I have an HP 3070A printer/scanner connected to my computer via USB, using Windows 7 (64 bit)
I used to be able to print and scan.
Could print but cannot scan yesterday. Tried all sorts of ways recommended by the forum. Now I cannot not print nor scan.
I am very frustrated.
Can anyone help?

Hello there, Welcome to the Forums! I hope you enjoy your experience
I noticed your posts and understand you cannot scan or print. My first suggestion would be to run the HP Print and Scan Doctor which should give you a reason as to why you cannot print or scan.
You can also try Resetting the Printer, restarting the router (unplug for 1 minute, do not touch any buttons on the router) and restarting the computer. (This is if you are wirelessly connected).
Please let me know the results from the Dr. and also include how you're connected (USB, Ethernet, Wireless).
