    HI experts,
I have an existing asset problem where the planned depreciation values becomes positive. Why does it becomes positive? How does system calculates this planned values? We just did some adjustment to the Asset by Credit Memo and another Mark-up transaction. Sample:

    Acquisition value     400,000.00     160,000.00-     240,000.00     SGD
    Ordinary deprec.     220,000.00-     26,962.96-     246,962.96-     SGD

    Down payments                    SGD
    Scrap value                    SGD

I believe in your case, the tremendous reduction in APC cost has caused a tremendous change in planned depreciation.  System looks at the NBV and the remaining periods of useful life each time it calcs depreciation.  Of course also looks at depreciation key, Period Control, and OAYR Smoothing button.  Asset class can also be set for group depreciation.
If a credit memo reduced the APC value dramatically, then the amount of depreciation on the asset at that moment is more than enough so far.  This means that the next running of the AFAB program will reduce its amount of depreciation from the amount it was planning to book since it already has an excess of accumulated depreciation.
Please check in OAYR to know if your Smoothing indicator has been checked for the Company Code.  As I understand the system, if this indicator is checked - the system will not catch-up the whole difference in the next running of AFAB.  Instead, it will smooth out the adjustments due to credit memos, unplanned depreciation, and changes in remaining useful life over the remaining life of the asset.  When smoothing is set, one gets less drastic period to period change.
This setting should be in line with your accounting rules, such as in US GAAP changes in depreciable life are considered estimate changes requiring only prospective corrections, and so should smooth out impact over remaining periods of useful life versus immediate catch-up.
You may want to run a AFAR (check for recalc flags) and then a Repeat AFAB in the current period after making master data changes for depreciation.  All open periods would be impacted by master data changes if you run AFAB.

  • COPA Planning to Profit Center Accounting

    Hi,
    We are using ECC 6.0.
When we do COPA planning and transfer the values of COPA to Profit Center, no data has been transfered to profit center plan items.
We have not activated Planning version of Classic Profit Center Accounting. Is it required for ECC 6.0 also to activate Classic Profit Center Accoutning?
We have Mapped requisit Value fields of COPA to GL Accounts.
Can any one guide us in this regard.
    Thanks in Advance
    Sudhakar

    Hi,
In COPA the planning has been done to the value field of PRCTR which represents Profit center. Through report forms the actual and plan data for the value fields can be derived in COPA itself. I dont think that the planned values can be transferred to profit center accouting. On the other hand the actuals of profit center with the same value fields can be derived in COPA.
    Assign points if its useful

    Hi
Please check my earlier reply. You need to use FSE5N. You also need a planner profile for doing planning in FI.
    Path in Easy access screen.
Accounting -  Financial Accounting -  General Ledger - Periodic Processing - Planning

  • Cost Center Integrated Planning with GP12N

We are using the New GL in 6.0.  I have made all of the Integrated Planning settings in the versions for both the GL Planning and the Cost Center Planning.  If I load the Cost Center Planning through KP06, the transfer works fine.  However, it was my understanding that you could load Cost Center Planning through GP12N, and see it in Cost Center reporting.  This does not seem to work.  Am I missing some particular setting?  We are loading into FAGLFLEXT.
    Thank you for any suggestions.

    Hi,
    - this is not going to happen; cost centre planning is flowing from CO to FI and not viceversa. the same apply if you run a cost centre allocation in accouting: it is not posting to CO.
    - you can use FI planning for accounts not managed as cost element and cost centre planning for the others.
    - as an alternative you can design cost centre reporting in accouting with transaction FGI0.

  • Asset Depreciation Planned values

    Hi Everyone,
There is a requirement for us to pull planned as well as posted depreciation values for assets. The input for the program would essentially be Fiscal Year, selected list of asset class & cost centers. We are using the FM 'AM_SHOW_POST_DEPR' to fetch posted & planned values. Now the issue is that, since not many key fields are provided, the report takes so much time to fetch the required assets and its posted / plan values. On doing a more close analysis it was found that 75 % of the data fetching time is consumed by the FM 'AM_SHOW_POST_DEPR'. Is there any other function modules / method to perform the activity done by this FM, so that the performance can be improved, or if possible can somebody provide the logic involved in asset plan data projection.
This FM returns the values which can be seen in posted values tab of the transaction code 'AW01N'.
    Regards,
    Kiran

You are talking about dep planned values thus this is not posted as actual values?
When the actuals values are posted there is longer planned values.
When you want to make changes you can use the transaction:
    ABZU - Write-Up
When you want to do this you should re open fiscal year 2008 for asset accounting. Following on this you have to do the fiscal year closing again for 2008 and 2009.
This action will create postings in FI in 2008 and 2009!!!!!!!

  • Upload Plan data for GL account

We want to upload plan data for the GL accounts so that the plan data shows with the actual data in the financial statement.
The question is what is name of the program/tcode
    1. To upload plan data for GL accounts?
    2. To upload plan data in the cost center accounting?
    3. Most important - to transfer plan data from cost center accounting to GL accounts? Currently we have a custom program to upload plan data to CCA.
Thank you very much in advance
    Praful

You can plan at GL level using T code GP12N, Planning profile SAPFIGL & summary table GLT0. You will have to define plan version & planning period in t code OBP6.
Once plan is entered the same will be available in FI reports e.g. F.01
For Cost center plan use t code KP06. Alternatively you can activate excel integration for planning profile and upload from excel.

  • Which data sources I need to use for Actual&Plan comparision of GL Account?

Could you please let me know which datasources I need to use for Actual & Plan comparision of GL Account data?
Current SAP BI version is BI 7.0.
As per my knowledge, I am thinking of using the datasources 0CO_OM_CCA_1 for Plan data & 0FI_GL_10 for Actuals.
    Is this right?
I have one more question here:
While extracting the data from ds 0CO_OM_CCA_1, I am getting only the Profit & Loss Account data where as the Balance Sheet Account data is not coming.
And also there is some confusion in VTYPE because the standard ds 0CO_OM_CCA_1 is giving the data with Value type 10 is & Version 000.
As we all know the VTYPE '10' stands for Actuals then how can we say that this ds 0CO_OM_CCA_1 gives Plan data?
    Please clarify.

    Hi,
Basically 0CO_OM_CCA_1 data source is used to extract actual, plan, and commitments.
This data is differentiated with value type, you can see sap note 523742 for more details on value type.
For balance sheet accounting data check the below link,

  • Planned Value in sap pm order

    Hello All,
Please explain me from where the planned value updates in refurbishment order in sap pm.
    Thanks,
    Regards,
    piyush

Split Valuation means that you can define various prices for a Material in the master data (Accounting1 tab) dependent on a certain categorization - Valuation Type. When you have set the Valuation Category for a material to 'C', you may create additional views in Accounting for the material, with a different price for each Valuation Type, e.g.
    C1 - new part - €1000 (new purchased value)
    C2 - damaged part - €10 (scrap value)
C3 - refurbished part -  €700 (value based on the cost of refurbishment)
Then with the Refurbishment Order you can take a C2 material & "convert" it to C3, adjusting the price & stock value for your refurbished parts.
Learn more about the Split Valuation concept at SAP Help & SCN:
Split Valuation - MM - Material Price Change (MM-IV-MP) - SAP Library
    Split valuation..?
    Split Valuation: MM-FI Integration
As for the other question, you are probably seeing the cost of the material you are going to refurbish, from the Order header (what is your price control & price for this material in MM03?)

  • Question about project plan value and  availability control

    dear expert:
I had built a project, and with CJ30, Allocated budget is 10000, in one of  WBS element.
I created  a network and internal activities,
when I  assiged a material component (Res + PR) and system can be saved even if the total plan cost value is crossing the budget value.(There is no PR created, now. )
But, Budget checking is showing error message that budget is exceeded when I created any external service activity and crossing the budget value.(There is also no PR created, now. )
My question is: what is the difference of the two plan value? Why one is relevant to the budget, and the other is not?
Note:1) the tolerance limit with ++ (all activity groups), usage say 100% & action 3 (error) to the budget profile. The budget prifile is considered with only overall budget.
2)In tables COSP, "value types" are all 01 (plan), but VRGNG field values are different, components plan is: KPPE
    Service activities are: KPPP
3)in CJ30 u2013 Extras>> Availability Control>> Analysis. I could see the following in red colour, these values system not considering into account.
Entries in this color make no contribution to the assigned value!
    V: Value type not relevant ( Act./Plan/Stat.Act./Stat.Plan/Commt)
    D: Delivery
S: Settlement to object with no budget control
    R: Revenue cost element

    Hi,
Its not per item category. If  N or L sytem will check the budget if in your system if proper GL's are maintained in OBYC settings BSX and GBB > VBR nad cost elelemtns are created for them. for this you have to cosult with your MM / CO consultant.
PS is highly inteergratd with CO and all values are updated per cost elements. If values are not updated in cost elements then budget chek wil not happen.
In you case for material values may be updated in cost elements due to improper OBYC setting so budget check was not done.
Chekc your OBYC setting and try to create material PR system will check for the budget.
    Check and confirm.
