Plant level authorization in DMS

Hi Gurus,
My client needs to control the document access by plant level.
In CV01N, 02N, 03N & 04N.
Is there any way to control the same document type aginst different plant.

Hi,
I would say that the best way would be to implement the BADI DOCUMENT_AUTH01 to create a special authorization check on the desired field values.
So this check should work to restrict specific users on entering document info records.

It can be done. You have two options.
1. SAP security - when your security person can limit a user by plant, profit center etc using authorization objects.
2. Validations - Here you can create a validation where you define you logic. In your logic you can restrict set of users who can access a set of fields (profit center, plant etc). If he deviates, the system can issue error messages which is maintained in validations. Use transaction GGB0 to create validations.

Plant level authorization for Notification Change

Hi All
We have 7 plants and person belong to one plant is able to open and change the notification of other plants.
In the role we have given restriction for the plant for the Tcode IW 22 and for the object SWERK .In the Notification only Workcenter and Plant fields are mandatory.
How can we restrict for a user belong to a particular plant can only change his plant notifications using IW22 only ---not IW28

Dear gangs,
Check in all the roles of that user in orgnozation levels maintenance plant and planning plant.
It may happen in one role you have ristricted for that user, but in other roles it may be having the t.code authorization for IW22 and with other plant also.

Hi,
You can restrict the users for the authorization of these T-Codes on their User ID. Take help of Basis who controls Roles & Profiles. (T-Code PFCG)

First of all, this is not the right forum to post such a question. Coming to the requirement, this can be achieved by creating a role in PFCG where you can restrict plant and assign this role to each user id. Your basis team can do this.

Maintaining Documents in plant level

Daer Folks,
Is there any possibility maintaining document at plant level without using LAB/OFFICE ? we have WERK(Plant) field in DRAW table but we are not assigning plant anywhere while creating document. is there any work around so that we can make use of plant field of DRAW to tale to restrict our document at plant level.

Hi,
regarding the field 'Plant' I have to inform you that this could not be filled duing the document creation process via transaction CV01N or the BAPI. So I would recommend you to use the field 'authorization group' for your requirement. This field can be filled with a specific value for each plant.
As soon as this field is filled you can define an authorization concept which only allows user to enter documents which have only a specific value in this field and so restrict all other user from entering. For further information on all existing authorization objects for DMS and also regarding the field Authorization Group please see the following link too:

Hi,
With the help of Abaper you can create a Z authorization object with field of WERKS and activity 01,02,03 ie create,change,Display.
The authorization object has to be called during the Save user exit during Sales order Processing. In standard SAP we have the authorization object M_MATE_WRK.
Either u can call tha authorization object in the exit or copy the object znd create your own authorization object.

I think you can maintain the same through MV45AFZZ by linking with the User name & Plant itself.
Otherwise you can maintain your own Authorization Object and assign it to User Name Profile ( through BASIS Constnt) by mentioning Plant & Activity in an Authorization Object.

Hi Dear,
             at the Plant level you have to use the below given Authorization Objects for the Users in different Plant
M_BEST_BSA     Document Type in Purchase Order
M_BEST_WRK     Plant in Purchase Order
Give the values of the respective Plant and Order Type for the Respective Users.
For more help you can contact your Security Team.
but before that please check out in the T-Code SU24, if both the Objects are active, if not then ask the ABAP person to activate them.

Plant Level Restriction in Tx. OX09

Hi,
I have an requirement to make restriction at plant level while executing transaction OX09. i checked transaction and found it is using SM30. But while executing this transaction i receive below screen for Plant selection.
can we make restriction for plant selection with that screen or we have some other option so that user can execute this transaction for assigned plants only.

As said by Dev End user does not need to do any entries in " OX09".
and as per you requirement on it MM consultant needs to change SLOC then i think he should be need authorization for you ABAP development client and he should be having authorization for all plant bcz He need to change SLOC for any plant.
Even though you want to restrict him/her for particular Plant just create a Role and restrict the user for particular plant in Object "S_TABU_LIN" and assign that role to user.

0PLANT Level Authorizations

I have a query regarding Object level Authorizations i.e i have created one query with variable Plant now i need to rollout to single query to all plants and respective person only can able to view their plant values....so i need to create 0plant as Auth relavent for that i use RSSM t.code but there i am not able to see the 0plant object .....please for Object level authorizations how can i proceed ...

Hi Anil,
I did following steps please go through it once and suggest me
1. Change 0Plant to Auth Relavent in Object.
2. RSSM tcode create a Z_plant and select 0plant and infocube and query objects and save it.
3. then back to rssm and check the infoprovider
4. create a Auth variable in bex
5.assign that query to user role and in that role select the Auth object and mention the plant and cube and query name.
6.generaet the roles.
then execute using that user but it can executing for all plants but i need to restrict for single.
Please treat it as urgent and give me if any missing steps...

Payment Terms fetch Issue(Plant Level) @ SRM 7.0

Hello Experts,
We are currently implementing SRM 7.0 system(Classical Scenario) across regions.In one such scenario we found out that when we create a PO directly in SRM the Payment Terms is fetched correctly from the Vendor Master at Plant Level(Bypassing the Purch Org Level data, since Standard SAP looks for plant specific data & the same has been implemented in SRM by enahancing the BADI BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI (Implementation ZBBP_DOC_CHANGE_PO ,Method :- BBP_PO_CHANGE using a Custom FM with SQL Query on LFM2)
However when a PO is ordered via the Shopping Cart method,the payment term is fetched at Purch org level,even though we have an Alternative Data(at Plant level) in R/3.
The Header & Item Level Data are the same.for both the PO's. Can someone please give some pointers on fixing this issue.As we know from SAP,fetching Plant related Payment Term into SRM is not a SAP Standard Feature & thus a custom logic was implemented.Payment Term Table(BBP_PAYTERM) is updated with the latest data with all Payment Term translations maintained in R/3.

MCHB,MARD - Stock available at plant level and storage location level

Hi ,
How to determine how much stock available at Storage location level and Plant level. (Lot is not maintained).
In MCHB-Stock at lot level is shown.
In MARD-Stock at Storage Location level is shown lncluding
the stock maintaned at the lot level.
If i want to know the stock which is not maintained in Lot, i.e, Stocks directly maintained at Storage location / Plant.
Do I need to subtract the MCHB Value from MARD Value ?
Is there any other way available to find the stocks which is not maintained at lot level.

What do u mean by stock maintained at SL level without batch level. Do u mean that some materials are subjected to batch management and some or not?
If that is the case, for all batch managed materials, u can see the stock at batch level and also same is summed up at SL level. But still what ever u are getting from MARD table isstock at SL level only.
If u have activated batch management for any material, it will always be shown at lot level also.

Is there any function that can do it or any table that has those detailes or any program?

Hi,
Check S031 table. It is a LIS info structure which store all goods movements in your system. But the key would based be on the variant your system configured to. I mean it will be either by Fiscal period/ Week/ Calendar Month for plant material.
