PO Std Workflow stuck "In Process" status

Dear Experts,
I have a case where a PO workflow is stuck "In Process" for over 8hrs. The background step - that has the underlining method to set status of PO to released is stuck and has not completed. (WS14000145)
I am not sure of what could have been the problem - possible locking or anything else?
Could you please suggest me a way out?
Do I have kill the workflow (logically delete) and restart it again or have any other way around?
Many thanks!
Vj

Well, it appears to be a locking issue.
I found entries in SM58 and SM12. However I released them but the workflow still continued to be in Hanged - IN Process status.
I then cancelled the workflow and then manually set released the PO documents.
Then the PO documents were fine and were possible to edit.
Thank you.

    Hi Michael,
The Microsoft support engineer will help to solve the problem from backend. Sometime delay might be expected. Your patience is greatly appreciated. Thank you for understanding and support.
Any of the following can result in a sync group being stuck in the processing state.
    a)The client agent is offline.
Be sure that the client agent is online then try again.
b)The client agent is uninstalled or missing.
If the client agent is uninstalled or otherwise missing:
1)Remove agent XML file from the SQL Data Sync (Preview) installation folder if the file exists.
2)Install the agent on same/another on-premise computer, submit the agent key from the portal generated for the agent that’s showing offline.
c)The SQL Data Sync (Preview) service is stopped.
1)In the Start menu, search on Services.
2)Click Services in the Programs section of the search results.
3)Find the SQL Data Sync (Preview) service.
4)If the service status is Stopped right-click the service name and select Start from the dropdown menu.

  • My order has been stuck in processing status for almost a week now

    Hello VZW community,
I ordered a new phone, for an early upgrade, on last Wednesday (4/15) and even paid extra for 1 day shipping. It is now 5 days later and after having checked my order status, it still says:
Your order is currently being processed.
    Please check back later.
There is only one small discrepancy - my bank gave me a 'fraud alert' (which prevented any purchases from going through) due to the amount of the phone upgrade. However, I cleared this check on last Thursday (4/16) and nothing has happened. I know that it may have caused a hiccup in your system, but can we do something about this? I'd really like to see my new phone.

Your best bet is to call you may have to "tickle" them to try the payment again if your bank stopped it the first time.

  • Workflow Process stuck in Active status

    Hi,
My workflow stuck in Active status and user is not able to proceed further. But it is not happening every time. Sometimes the process activty gets stuck. Could anyone please let me know the reason for this behaviour and how to fix this issue?
    Thanks

You need to get more information as to what is going on, identify more facts around the issue:
    1. First off, run wfstat.sql to get a history of the activities of the process as well as its attribute values.
    2. Once the workflow gets 'stuck' what makes it progress? For instance, does running the background engine with parameter Stuck processes=Yes fix the problem?
    3. Are there activities deferred that do not get process by the background engine?
    4. Does the process get stuck after a notification is responded to but 'nothing' happens?
It would also be useful to have the complete DB version.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Force a restart, if the problem persists:
Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option which is revealed in the iTunes app on your iOS device by tapping the more button at the bottom of the screen.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

  • POs stuck in an in-process status

This is from the California Highway Patrol in Sacramento. I’m the sys admin for our E-Business Suite 11.5.0 (somewhat stuck) in Oracle 8. Our PO department has some POs stuck in an “in process” status and we’d like to clear these 13 or so purchase orders.
I have an accounting type Discoverer user who’s also fairly deft in SqlPlus. Via Discoverer, he can retrieve the tables in question - both through sql or the application forms themselves - but needs to know what can be done to move them along (or backwards through) the process.
He thinks the PO's are caught in the workflow process; or more specifically, the PO Approval Process. When it got to the “Can Owner Approve?” the answer would have been No. He believes the process is now looking for the next approver in the approval hierarchy. We don't know if we have an approval hierarchy.

Has anyone come across this before?  How can this be fixed/released and actually process?

    Barry:
I was watching your thread from the day you posted since we had the same issue
Even we have the same issue for the past month..we tried all sort of solutions to get rid of the problem but were not able to....its still exist..we have logged a ticket to SAP support and waiting for them
for the time being we used "Availability Time Planning" to schedule the polling which is like forcing the channel to wake up and die in the time interval we want....
(sometimes even it stops but not as frequent as the above)

  • Workflow in process status when work is completed and returned to inbox

    Issue...
Once upgraded to ECC 5.0, our Workflows are still in process status after completing the work item and returning to inbox. Takes several seconds to go to completed status.
    More detail...
In a number of our work items in custom workflows we utilize methods that display a custom transaction for review & approval in the workflow process. From within the custom transaction we issue the terminating event for the work item by means of Function Module "SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT" once the user approves or disapproves the work item.
This worked all very well in Rel. 4.6c. By the time the users were routed back to their inbox the work item had disappeared.
We recently upgraded to ECC 5.0 and experience the following problem. Once the user has left the work item and are back in their inbox, the work item is still on display. It eventually goes away once the users refresh their screen after a few seconds. This is very confusing to the users and some of them even wanting to start executing the same item again....
I was wondering if anybody has any ideas on how the completion/termination of the work item could be changed so that it completes faster and is gone from the inbox immediately.
In our research we did come across OSS note 831443, which explains as of release 6.20 that work items will be locked while executing a method and that the terminating event can only be delivered once it is unlocked. Taking this into consideration, we tried moving the terminating event to the end of the method within the business object program, but the work item never completed, even after refreshing the inbox.
    Thank you for any feedback.

    Hello Tom,
I've had quite a similar problem with the terminating event in a dialog while the workitem is locked.
I came across the same SAPNote 831443, but it doesn't seem to tell the whole story there. As I found out, the status change (from "in work" to "complete") is just skipped over, while the workflow continues with processing, leaving a last workitem "in work" hanging out to dry when the whole process has already finished.
Basically the problem is, or was, that a popup dialog was shown to the user after the processed the transaction, which held the lock open. I have found no logs, saying that there was a problem with a locked workitem, anyhow.
At last I have found out, that basically there shouldn't be much coding between the <b>COMMIT WORK</b> statement and the coding that just ends the method with <b>END METHOD</b>. This kind of procedure does definitly apply to the newer Versions, as I didn't have any problems like this before. Mayhaps and only a guess is, that the unlock-operation was previously registered with a perform like PERFORM unlock_workitem ON COMMIT. or something similar. This defenitly has changed under the new releases.
In your specific case I would recommend to register the event processing in the update task and end the workitem's method as soon, as possible. For example:
CALL FUNCTION 'SWE_EVENT_CREATE' IN UPDATE TASK   ...
If this still does not help, you could further disjoin the transaction processing from the event creation by adding
    STARTING NEW TASK
    IN BACKGROUND MODE
or whatever the correct syntax was here. This will schedule another tRFC on the database commit, which then is defenitly be picked up by another work process of the application server, just right -- hopefully -- after the object's method has completed.
If you're feeling good with this answers, or it least it gave you new ideas to look upon, please assign points as appropriate.
    Best wishes,
    Florin

  • Color workflow process status

    Hello,
i want adding some color to the workflow process status.
I find a link (http://www.orahyplabs.com/2010/08/customize-workflow-in-hyperion-planning.html) ...that explains how to do this...and so I'm wondering how access to two tables HSP_PM_ACTIONS
    and
    HSP_PM_STATES
    Cheers,

in SQL Server I executed the code:
update HSP_PM_STATES set COLOR = 'BLUE'
    where name = 'First Pass'
update HSP_PM_STATES set COLOR = 'ORANGE'
    where name = 'Under Review'
update HSP_PM_STATES set COLOR = 'GREEN'
    where name = 'Approved'
update HSP_PM_STATES set COLOR = 'PURPLE'
    where name = 'Signed Off'
update HSP_PM_STATES set COLOR = 'RED'
where name = 'Not Signed Off'
there's the color of the status 'First Pass' is changed to 'Blue'. the color of other statutes not.
I verified the syntax of the names of various statutes ... it's okay
why the other colors are not displayed
    i use Version 11.1.1.3
    cheers,

  • Workflow is in process due to locking of work item

    Hi,
I checked for one invoice document, workflow is in process. I saw it is stuck in one send mail step and analyse the workflow log, it is showing work item is locked against execution. I tried to execute the work item using SWIA, still it is not going to completed status still it is in ready status.
Can anybody tell me how to complete this work item so that workflow will be completed?

  • BPM messages stuck In Process - never get sent

    Hi all,
We have had a number of BPM processes running successfully in our XI 3.0 DEV SP17 system for weeks now but suddenly, none are now working. Our BPMs wait a specified amount of time before creating a bundled outbound message. In SXMB_MONI, the Outbound Status is a timer status. The workflow logs mappings are all complete but the Block above is stuck in the status In Process. This never changes and no message is sent no matter how long you wait. There are no errors listed anywhere. To try and fix this, we have performed the following steps and then retried but to no avail:
    1. Re-registered and re-activated queues in SXMB_ADM
    2. Deleted all work items in SWWL
    3. Checked for event problems in SWEQADM
    4. Checked for errors (none given) but done a cache refresh anyway in SXI_CACHE
    5. Checked in the Process Builder under Goto -> Basic Data -> Start Events tab that the workflow is active
    6. Restarted the server
What else can I check to free up this blockage or reactivate whatever isn't running?!
    Many thanks,
    Stuart Richards

    Hi Stuart Richards,
Similary I too faced the Problem,   Try  for SLD  Cache  refresh,
To clear the SLD cache, from the Integration Builder main menu, choose Environment  ®  Delete Cache for SLD Data.
Once we have deleted the cache for SLD data, accessing objects in the SLD may take longer than usual initially.
    Did you  tried this option,
    Transaction code : SXI_CACHE
    Go to menu
XI Runtime Cache -> Start Complete Cache refresh.
    Thanks & Regards
