Hopefully you did what kgoose23 said and wrote down the confirmation number. Because my orders are empty but I can search the confirmation preorder number. I did as well see the message that it may take up to 24 hours but I ordered mine well after you and got on quickly. I would check your spam/junk box as well.

    I'm in the same situation.  I was up trying to get on the Verizon page at 11:55, kept getting the ECPD error.  When finally got through, the Silver Iphone Plus 64 showed arrival of 9-19.  At every step of the process, it seemed that I was ordering a phone that would arrive on day1.  At no point did it say this was an estimate.  At no point did it say it might change.  In a big yellow box, it said "9-19".  Ordered it, then got confirmation email stating it should arrive at 9-19.   Seems like all should be good, right?  Order site said 9-19, I've got a confirmation email saying 9-19, done and done.
    Then I check the website, and suddenly it changed to 10-14?!?!?!?  I feel like this was a bait and switch.  I was able to pickup an iphone5 in a local store on launch day, and would not have locked myself into a preorder through Verizon if I had known this would happen!
    So, that leads back to the original questions.  Lets assume I walk into a Verizon store on 9-19, and there is an available iphone6 plus just sitting there, can I either get that phone as fulfillment of my pre-order.  Or, cancel my pre-order and buy that phone right then and there?

    On Friday, April 4, I went into my local Verizon Store (Orlando MetroWest) to pre-order the new Samsung Galaxy S5.  The order was placed and I was given a copy of the receipt which looked very accurate.  The sales rep had read back to me the Bill To and Ship To address in the store, and it was correct, but didn't show up on the receipt given.  When the confirmation e-mail came to me, I noticed that the Ship To info had my company name, and an address, but my name appeared nowhere on it.  I called to question this when the store opened on April 7, and all of the answers were "I don't know.  I'll have to research and get back to you."  When there were no calls returned I checked again and received the same response.  When I left my office for the day, I still had zero answers.
    I drove to the same local store and re-hashed what I'd tried to accomplish during the morning.  I was told there was no way to amend the shipping label once the order was input, despite the fact NO orders for this phone have yet to be fulfilled, since they are still in the warehouse.  I work in a nine story building with every single office working for the same global company.  There is no chance whatsoever that the FedEx delivery would ever make it to me without my name being on the label.  I don't even think FedEx would try.  It was just foolishness at the time the order was originally input (by the Verizon Store).
    During the morning there was mention of possibly cancelling the entire order and starting from scratch, which I was totally OK with, as even that delay would be quicker than someone signing for the box and it sitting God Knows Where for days/weeks.  When I said we should re-visit that option, I was now informed that it is a "Verizon Policy" to avoid fraud and NO pre-order phone could be delivered to any address except the account address of the phone owner.  That was surprising to hear since it had been done (albeit incorrectly) just a couple of days earlier.  The answer to that was, "Oh, she made a mistake in trying a work-around".  Since I was recording our complete interaction (love that feature on my current phone), I asked manager Mike to verify a third time that he could not send a phone to my office address where I am during FedEx hours, and I could not adjust the existing order to come to the store for pickup.  The answers were No and No.
    My last two Verizon phones were shipped to my office, but I do understand that some company policies do change.  I just think this is a doofus change.  I also think it was pretty foolish for the original sales rep to miss putting a person's name on the shipping label.  I have trouble believing that the computer order system would even allow her to make that mistake.  But Verizon is in phone sales exclusively and not in the corporate shipping business.  Perhaps this is some needed training.

    Epilogue:
    My problem has been solved, and I'm now happy to have my pre-order of the new Samsung Galaxy device completed in a way that totally satisfies me.  But I am kicking myself for not going this route in the first place.  I won't make that mistake again in the future FOR SURE.
    After the manager in the local Verizon Store (Orlando MetroWest) said there was nothing he/they could do to overcome the error made earlier by their store sales representative, because it was a pre-order and nothing can be changed/corrected for the initial input.  They had failed to put my name on the shipping label requested for FedEx delivery, meaning that the box containing my phone would probably NEVER reach my hands once if was delivered to a nine-story office building with many many employees.
    I simply went to my local BestBuy store and mentioned I had a very few questions to be answered prior to attempting to place a pre-order of my new Samsung phone.  I asked if the phone could be set for delivery to my office and the answer was a quick YES.  I asked if the phone could be set for pickup at the BB store and, again, the answer was a quick YES.  They were initially surprised to hear that any company would say otherwise. BestBuy requires a photo ID when they take a phone order, and a signature is required when FedEx makes its delivery, so they assured me the Verizon "Fraud Policy" quoted to me was not a standard retail answer AT ALL.  Thirteen minutes after I walked to the mobile phone department, I was walking out with all my confirmation details for a new phone.  The purchase was less out-of-pocket since BB doesn't do that VZW arrangement of paying $50 extra and then getting that back as a mail-in rebate later.  Seems no other carrier except VZW is charging that extra fee for this new device.  On top of that savings, BB gives you a $10 gift card just for doing the pre-order with them.  Bonus!!
    I may (or may not) receive my phone a few days later than those ordering at the Verizon Store, but in my situation I was assured to get mine late due to the shipping label error.  No matter what, I'm going to be pleased with my purchase, and BestBuy just earned additional respect with the way they accurately handled my Verizon purchase.  VZW it still a quality mobile phone provider, but (in my personal opinion) they are extremely weak in the guest service side of the business . . . which almost negates those other positive things.

  • Pre-Ordere​d, employee failed to place my order, didn't get phone.

    On the 14th, I gave BB Mobile $50 and got the gift card, but the employee who set me up failed to actually PLACE the order for my phone.  She admitted this when I showed up on the 21st, and her manager explained that everyone who had pre-ordered showed up to pick up their phone on the 21st except for three people.
    They placed my order (as they were supposed to on the 14th) and said I might get a phone IF the three remaining people who hadn't yet picked up their phones failed to do so by COB on Sunday the 23rd (today).
    I'm tired of taking "There's nothing we can do about it, sorry," as an answer when I did what I was supposed to do a week before release.  I even asked them if that was all there was to it.  It seemed pretty simply and easy to me and I was sure there was something missing in the process.
    Now it looks like I'm part of the group of people who, according to most recent news, will have to wait until October 21st or later to receive phones.
    It's not a bait and switch.  They're not 'calling it a preorder when it's something else' like I see other people on the forums claiming.  The receipt I got even says "prerorder, physical reservation," and specifies 32G Black as I requested.
    The store is in Melbourne, Florida, on New Haven.  Anyone else had this happen to them?

    It appears, at least for the Melboune store I frequent (or used to frequent), that the "not even getting the shipments" problem has not happened to them for all AT&T phones.  Word I'm getting is that Sprint and Verizon have failed to meet their agreement with Best Buy to have their phones to them by release.  This is admittedly between Best Buy and Sprint/Verizon as to how they'll deal with each other in the future.  Understandibly, as far as any Sprint or Verizon customer's concerned, this is Best Buy's screwup.  From a busines standpoint, it kind of IS.  Best Buy trusted Sprint and Verizon, and they got screwed, and now they have to eat crow and anger customers who happen to go with Sprint and Verizon.
    I seem to be the SOLE AT&T customer at the Melbourne store that is angry, and it's only because this new minimum-wage chick at the store messed up (even though she had a non-new person behind her telling her what to do the whole time), so the most I can hope for is that they'll get a shipment in on Monday that has my phone in it.
    I keep telling myself, it's a want, not a need, it's just a phone, but darn it...  I was really looking forward to having the 5.  I have a 4 (never got the 4S) that I've had since the day it came out, and though it's served me often and faithfully, I was really looking forward to that 5!

    I went today with my husband to pre-order him an iphone 4S for Christmas and the guy would not take my cash. He had to have either a debit or credit card. He had no explanation as to why. I asked him several times and he didn't have an answer. Some customer service...  Why wouldn't they take the cash? I'm hot over this. I've been a Verizonwireless customer for 15 years...  I've never experienced this before. If my service wasn't so good, I'd consider leaving Verizon. What is the reason for this? Why isn't cash good enough?

    Probably because you were ordering a back-ordered phone.  If you use a card with a phone that they cannot deliver immediately, that could cause complications if something happens and they need to cancel your order.  It is much easier to refund money to a card than to find you and refund the cash (which the store may not have on hand, because most people make purchases, especially large ones, on cards).
    If you need to pay cash, call ahead to confirm the store's policy and purchase a phone that is in stock at the time.

    I pre ordered my phone on 10/7 at 2:10am(central zone) and received my confirmation at 2:43am but it still hasn't shipped.  Does anyone know if there is a way to find out if I'm getting my phone no later than 10/14 , after all thats why i woke up at 2:10 last Friday to pre-order.

    Funny story, I, also was getting that error when checking my order status. I was using my order number from the confirmation email, which was a 4 digit number and my last name. I was getting nervous, so I started trying different ways to look up the order status.
    On the order status page it gives you three options to choose from when selecting which method you used to make the order
    1-Verizonwireless.com
    2-Verizon Store
    3-Over the phone.
    Naturally, I was selecting the first method and receiving the error message, so I tried the second method. It then changed from asking for only an order number and last name to asking for an Ace number, last name and order location number.
    I used my order number for the "ace number" field and the order location number that was given to me in the confirmation email.
    When I tried that, this is what was displayed :
    Order Number:

    Tracking Number:
    Courier :
    Status:Your pre-order will deliver by 10/14/2011
    Ship Date:
    Also my CC was finally charged just a few hours ago. I'm confident my phone will arrive friday. Verizon has never let me down so far, but i'm going to keep my fingers crossed.

    It's not an explicit track e.g. as well as not having hidden the track yourself, it's not hidden by Settings > General > Restrictions > Music & Podcasts > Explicit 'off' ? You've also tried logging out of your account on your phone (e.g. by tapping on your id at the bottom of the Music tab in the iTunes store app) and then logging back in and seeing if it then shows for downloading in Purchased, and/or can you download it via your computer's iTunes (e.g. Store > Check For Available Downloads menu option, or Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage) ?

  • Confirmed Pre-order (home delivery) + Apple store reservation

    I am eligible for upgrade & was lucky enough to get both a confirmed Pre-order w/ home delivery & a confirmed reservation at the local Apple store - my question is, Can I get them both at the $299 price OR will the instore reservation @ Apple see that I have already paid the discounted price for my home delivery?
    I originally did this becuase of all the issues, i wasn't 100% sure that things had went through smoothly (mostly becuase they went TOO smooth - I was done w/ both processes in under 5 minutes).
    If I could get a 2nd phone at discounted price, I'd likely sell it. If I can't, does anyone know if I can give my reserved phone @ the store to someone else? Do I have to wait in line & get the phone only to hand it off to someone else for activation OR could I just send someone else w/ my e-mail confirmation of the reservation?

    It all depends on if they check the ATT system again or not. I ordered for Apple delivery, but ATT knows that. I'm assuming when you go in the store, they check your ATT account once more, since they ask for your information to confirm what price you qualify for.
    I suppose you can try it and see, but I wouldn't count on it.

    Has anyone who is a business customer and pre ordered over the phone prior to 11 AM, received their shipment email or tracking number? I get a new story every time I call a business center rep (one told me mine wasnt shipping until 10/5 and after I started screaming realized his mistake and said that he didnt actually have the information up, dumb ***!) I know that we had to wait to pre order until 7 AM but I was told we have a seperate inventory, can anyone confirm that?

    I ordered via our business specific site on the 14th.  The email I received from Verizon says my phone will arrive on 9/21 via Fedex Overnight delivery.  That means they have to ship it by tomorrow.  My order was placed with them at 9:26 am on 9/14.  I've checked for the last two days using the Order Status link on the Verizon website.  It continues to say "This order is for a product not currently available in our warehouses. When we receive the inventory, we will process payment and ship it immediately. You will receive notification when this occurs."
    I've not gotten any email update saying that I will not receive this as promised on Friday and since the shipment method is FedEx overnight I guess it's still possible for them to deliver it on time.  I'll know tomorrow if the website doesn't update to show a shipment has occurred.

  • Cancelled pre-order and walked into AT&T and got phone

    Today, I cancelled my pre-order for my iPhone 4s 64gb AT&T black model.  I was then able to walk into an AT&T store and pick up the exact same model (5 days after the original shipment).
    The number one reason is because I do believe there is a lack of communication and openness about what is going.  I'm an silver reward member and spend a lot of money with best buy but stuff like this makes me want to reconsider where I send my money.
    IMHO, what I think happened is that they had a glitch or something on the 64gb model sku and didn't properly get their order in with Apple.  Which is why they didn't receive ANY.   It doesn't make any sense that AT&T has a surplus of the model and Best Buy had NONE in the exact same city.
    Based upon that, I think they are now going to have to wait for the "second round" of phone shipments and my guess that is 4-6 weeks out.
    I also don't buy they don't know when they will get them.  Actually, they do know (or can find out).  They can call Apple up and say when is my next shipment supposed to be in (just like I'm asking best buy).   Apple (or whoever is the ultimate supplier) would have to be able to supply Best Buy with the info they need to inform their customers.  That's why I think it's the more likely case that they screwed up their order with Apple on the 64gb models and didn't get it in properly (or on time).  Or worse yet, they aren't actively calling Apple up and asking for shipment dates and order dates.

    We are picking ours up from Apple today.  Ours were the 16g white and 32g black, #1 and #2 preorders for Verizon phones.  They supposedly got a shipment yesterday but we didn't get an email once they were scanned. They are not that rare. My guess is they didn't get any for Verizon (just like Sprint).
    I agree with the lack of communication.  I'd wait it our if they told the truth and even through in an extra set of earbuds or something.  Geez, we're silver members too (my husband wanted to get teh points from this sale). Oh well, ,hopefully they will learn from this experience.
