I don't think I saw that model on the list of air print printers
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4356
If that printer is a wifi printer then you have a few options.
If it's air print then the iPad should print natively.
If it's not air print then HP may have apps or options for you. So I'd look on HP's site and see what advice/support they offer.
If it's a wifi printer and HP doesn't offer anything, then you can look towards third party printer apps. A couple are Print n Share, Print Central, Printopia and there are plenty more.
If the printer is not wifi then it gets much harder to print because you'll need a local hardwired printer to serve as your print server and whether or not that works depends on the make and model of the printer.
If you need a new printer, basically look for a wifi one. THere are affordable ones and then it just comes down to your budget and usage needs and what's available. (I ended up buying an Epson one. It had the air print  and works just fine, although I've discovered that Epson inks rarely go on sale so ink replacement prices may be something for you to consider)

  • Problems when printing help topics from OHJ

We have encountered some persistent problems when printing help topics from Oracle Help for Java (Ice Browser).
NOTE: When we print the same source files from Oracle Help for the Web, the printing problems are gone.
    (1) Spacing Errors (all printers had identical results)
Text with special formatting (<b>, <i>) often has either too much space or not enough space.
Links often have extra spaces underlined before or after the link, itself.
    (2) When printing multiple help topics from the TOC (an entire branch in the tree):
On some printers, no graphics print correctly, but instead print as one of the following: 1. empty box the size of one character, 2. black box the size of one character, 3. black box the size of the original graphic. We could not detect a pattern that caused 1, 2, or 3.
NOTE: all graphics are bit maps (screen captures) that were generated in the same manner.
NOTE: if these same help topics are printed one at a time form Oracle Help for Java, the graphics print fine.
Is this a problem with the Ice Browser?
    Thanks for the help,
    Wendy Studinski

There are a known issue with the ICEBrowser printing in some circumstances. The laying out of text by the ICE Browser relies on font metrics (being able to measure the width of a run of text in a given font). On screen it looks great, but when printing, even though the GraphicsConfiguration for the printer is being used, these widths are sometimes off, which can result in text running together at boundaries between text styles. We're not sure what to do about this problem, and we've reported it to IceSoft.
Not every font has this problem, so varying the font you are using might help the appearance when printed.
The other problem you report, problems with the images when printing multiple topics, is something that we will look into.

  • Borderless Printing Help

I really need some borderless printing help. I finally figured out with my printer, that the bottom margin is ridiculously offset so I need to use borderless printing to prevent the bottom footer from being cut off (HP 2610 printer, margins being read are .07"-top, .13"-right&left, .56"-bottom).
I know there is a way to choose borderless from the page setup screen. And I tried looking in the system preferences to see if I could choose borderless as the default but there doesn't seem to be a way as far as I can see.
Does anybody know if there is a way to override the settings and make the borderless 8.5x11 the default paper size instead of the standard US letter?
BTW I am looking to do this on a system-wide basis since multiple programs have this problem, but if anyone knows of ways to do this specifically in Pages or Word that would be helpful too.

Got it to work in MS Word 2004. Any idea of how to get it to save in Pages 2? I choose to Save As Default, but it keeps reverting back when I open a new document.

  • Bex Broadcasting w/Print Help Service

I need to set up BEX Broadcast that will process a web template, then run the Print Help Service, and finally send the output (print formatted) to an email distribution list.
How can I set up either the web template or the broadcaster so that it will include the call to the print help service in it's command stream when scheduled through the broadcaster?
    Thanks

    Audrey,
usually, you don't attach "modify_class" to the URL CMD, rather it needs to be attached to the object tag of the "item".
Once it is attached to the object tag, you just need to attach "help_serivce" class & the "item" to the URL CMD.
I've included a few lines of sample code here. Hope it helps.
    <object>
    <param name="HELP_SERVICE" value="ZPRINTING"/>
    <param name="MODIFY_CLASS" VALUE = "ZCL_TABLE_ENHANCE">
             ITEM:            TABLE_1
    </object>
    <A href="JavaScript:window.open(SAP_BW_URL_Get() + '&CMD=PROCESS_HELP_WINDOW&help_service=ZPRINTING&item=TABLE_1');" >

  • HP Live Photo Print Help

HP Live Photo Printing for Android and iOS
    Android
How do I print a Live Photo from an Android device?
Printing from HP Live Photo on Android is currently supported via the HP ePrint mobile app.  Most HP printers are supported.
You can also print to printers not supported by the HP ePrint app or non-HP printers using other Android print options.  See below for more information.
How do I use the HP ePrint Mobile app to print to HP Printers?
Install the HP ePrint mobile app.  Google Play store link.
Launch the HP ePrint app.  You will be prompted to Activate the app.  You can skip this – Activation is not required to print HP Live Photos.
Return to the Live Photo app and select the Live Photo you want to print and select Print.
The HP ePrint app will launch and allow you to print the photo to supported HP printers on your network.  If your printer does not appear it is not supported by the HP ePrint mobile app.
More on HP ePrint mobile Activation: HP ePrint app Activation is only required if you wish to print to an HP web-connected printer that has been added to your HP Connected or HP ePrintCenter account over the internet using a mobile phone data connection (e.g., 3G, 4G).  You do not need to Activate to print to HP printers over wireless.
How can I print from my Android device to non-HP printers and HP printers that the HP ePrint app does not support?
You can use any third-party photo printing app that is available in the Google Play store:
Send the photo to yourself via the Share via email option from Live Photo
Select the photo in the email on your phone to download it
While viewing the downloaded image, select Menu > Share
Choose the app from the Share list that you would like to use to print your photo and complete the print
    iOS
How do I print a Live Photo from an iOS device?
Printing is natively supported on your iOS device from the HP Live Photo app, using the built-in iOS Airprint feature. just select Print from the HP Live Photo app and you will be able to print to any Airprint supported printer on your network.
How do I print a Live Photo shared via email on an iOS device using Airprint?
Long-press on the image in the email and select “Save Image” from the pop-up list of options and select the Save option.
Go to your Camera Roll and open the image.
Ensure you have 4x6 or 5x7 photo paper in your printer’s photo paper tray, or main tray if you do not have a separate photo paper tray, select the Action icon and choose the Print option.
Airprint supports a range of printers from HP and other companies. If you need help with Airprint, see this FAQ.

Can I print Live Photos from my computer?
Yes. Simply share your photo via email from the Live Photo app to your own email address and then open the email and print the live photo as you normally do from your computer.
Can I print Live Photos on plain paper?
Always print Live Photos on photo paper to provide the necessary color, saturation, and depth for the best Live Photo experience.  Results on plain paper will be less predictable.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Printer - help for office environment/wireless network

I'm an HP person (i.e., laptob, printer, etc.).  Our office had a Brothers (sorry) MFC 9840 and with it we had a desktop app that would allow us to scan, copy and fax from our personal computers.  Needless to say that printer died and I bought the office an HP Officejet Pro 8600 printer. Because the aforementioned capabilities existed, the staff would like them for our new HP printer. I didn't see these capabillities on the support disk.  Did I miss it?  Can you help.  Thanks (because I can not believe the HP would put out such great products without this capability).

  • Printing help with Canon Printer

I recently got asked to do a wall mural for my schools athletics department. I have a Canon ipf9100 60" printer and I need help printing the project. We are printing on 36" rolls of inkjet wallpaper. Using a total of 5 strips to cover the wall. I have the project designed and ready to print. I just need to know how to set the printer up to print these pieces off and make sure everything lines up. Whenever I use borderless printing it enlarges the image by x% then trims a 1/4" off the edges to achieve the desired size of the borderless print if that makes since to anyone. Is there a plug in or anything already in photoshop to break the project up and print it the way it needs to be printed?

If you want to do borderless printing I would give each panel a half inch bleed and the set a line that prints at the join marks or where you want to trim them.
If you don't use broderless printing you could print the whole length at once and trim where you want to create panels if you need to. By the way the iPF9100 plugin can print 60,000 pixels wide.

    Hi all
I have two macs on a airport network and a printer connected to an Airport Express base station. Both macs can see the printer but the older iMac won't print to it. It says it has, but nothing comes out of the printer! Any ideas.
Sorry if this is a stupid question its the only problem I've ever had with a Mac that wasn't resolved using the Help function.
    Many thanks in advance.

  • Canon IR 2880i printer "help" dialogue box can't be turned off

I have a Canon ir2880i networked to my Mac Minis at work (3 computers). Every time I print to it from my Mac OS X (running Leopard), I get a pop-up box that says:
+"Canon UFR11 Helper - If the output print appears differently from the original shown on the screen, select (Raster Mode) in (Quality)-(Quality Settings)-(Graphics Mode), and then print.: 15925"+
I do not wish to see this after every page I print (we print lots of pages in my office all day long, as many businesses do ... ). If I follow the directions, not only does it not prevent the pop-up from coming up each time, but it also makes the printout unreadable - not a solution, obviously.
I cannot find where to turn this off and it isn't relevant to any printing I am doing. Can anyone let me know how I can stop this box from popping up? I have been told by the tech at the place I purchased the machine from there is no way to do this and it seems ridiculous to me to have to put up with this from a $7000 machine.
    Thanks!

    Hi pixie_vixen.
Sorry that none of that worked. I hadn't tried it myself, but I was hopeful it would have worked. We don't use UFR in the office but I've used it at home with my Canon MF printer so I have seen that message pop up.
In testing the UFR2 driver this morning, I saw that the pop up is a process called User Notification Center. It looks to be a child process of the launch daemon, rather than a Canon application. From what I can see, the UFR2 Helper will start everytime you print and then puts a request to UserNotificationCenter to generate the pop up about the quality.
So it doesn't look like there is a simple user modification that can be made to stop this from appearing. The only thing I can suggest is to make a preset with the Raster setting saved and this will stop the pop up.
The setting is located under Quality > Quality Settings and for the Graphics Mode, select Raster Mode. Click OK and then save this as a preset. Now when you print with this preset selected the message will not appear.

  • Acrobat 9 Pro Install Printer Help?

    Hello All,
Everytime I install Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro I loss my printer connection. When I uninstall it I get my printer connection back.
Anyone have any ideas? I am running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on a Dell V305. I have all the software updated on both.
    Thanks for your help!
    Morey

Do you have the serial number for your Acrobat 6 Pro and is your Acrobat 9 Pro an upgrade??
In case yo do not have the serial number , and your Acrobat 9 Pro is an upgrade you should not uninstall acrobat 6 otherwise you will be struck at the Upgrade serial number screen and then you will ave to call Customer Support.
If you have the serial number for Acrobat 6 , then you can uninstall it , if , in case , you get the prompt for upgrade serial number , you will have to selct the product from the drop down as Acrobat 6 Pro and enter its serial number there.

  • Color printing help with large graphics Reader 11.0.3

Good morning!  We recently upgraded to 11.0.3.  Windows 7 64-bit.  We've had issues printing large color graphics from Reader 11.
For example, the PDF will have an intricate purple graphic with matching purple text blocks underneath.  Print preview shows correctly, but when printed the graphic prints brown instead of purple.  The purple text blocks print correctly.  This seems to happen sporadically, but seems to be with complex graphics.
Documents from all other apps print OK and if we open this .pdf from Acrobat X Standard and export it to a .png file the colors print correctly.
The graphic files come from a myriad of sources and customers and we don't have control over the way the documents are originally saved or what apps are used to create the artwork.
Any idea why the graphics colors aren't printing and if there are settings we can adjust in Reader 11 so they will print correctly?
    We've tried:
    - Printing to several printers with different drivers and all yield the same results.  (Toshiba eStudio 3530c with PCL6 and PS drivers, Epson Artisan 835, HP OfficeJet 8600, Samsung CLX-6200x)
    - Adjusting the Overprint Preview settings under File -> Preferences and setting "Simulate Overprinting" under the Advanced button in the print preview window.
    - Selecting "Print As Image" under the Advanced button in the print preview window.
    - Adjusting the Document Color Options under File -> Preferences -> Accessibility.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Fastest thing you can try: use Windows Explorer to navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement.
If that doesn't work, you can try using this tool to first remove all traces of Reader from your computer:
    http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
Then, you can download the full offline Reader installer from
    http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
After downloading, restart your computer and run the installer before doing anything else.
