Printer not completing print job

I have a Canon IP3000 connected to the AirPort Extreme via USB. Ever since I had it connected, it was able to print all the pages until it gets to the first page, which it prints half way and then stop. I have no idea why it's doing this. I tried different printing sources (image, web site, etc.) and it's doing the same thing. Help?

Hi , I saw your post regarding the error message that appears when printing with your HP Deskjet 2542.
I would need a little bit more information in order to give you the best steps to follow. What is the exact error message you are receiving? Without that error message, I can suggest trying a free tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and resolve printing problems. I recommend downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor, if it doesn't fix it automatically let me know what errors or messages you receive. You could always try Uninstalling the Printer Software then downloading the newest software package for you printer; Click this link to get the HP Deskjet 2540 All-in-One Printer series Full Feature Software and Drivers. Just note you may not be able to download the software right now.   • MiniSAP - SE80 Prompts Error "Printer not suitable for job step..."

    Hi all,
    I bought an ABAP Objects book. I installed the MiniSAP. When I run SAP GUI and SE80, both with BCUSER and DDIC, it gives me error message "Printer not suitable for job step. Automatic printing not possible."
    If I double-click on the message, it does not show the description of the error message, instead it displays an Internet Explorer error message "The page cannot be found."
    Furthermore, the same error message, "The Page cannot be found", also appears in the area where the listbox and textbox for selecting Development Class, Program, Function Group, etc. Making these function becomes unavailabale. I cannot see the listbox and textbox in the Object Navigator. The only development class show is "$_TMP_BCUSER" (if I recall correctly). But nothing is in the development class.
    How do I solve this problem?
    OS: Windows XP Professional
    Browser Installed: Internet Explorer and Firefox
    Other info: I put incorrect IP Address in the Hosts file while installation was in progress. This created error. I then correct the IP Address in the Hosts file and resume installation. I still encountered error until I restarted my computer and resume installtion. I use IP Address 10.10.0.10.

Lexmark support verified that my printer was connected to the new router and the problem was with the computer's printer configuration and they could reconfigure it online if I paid for their "Premium Support" services ($119 for one year, 3 fixes). I declined, feeling sure that this is something I could do if I knew how. Could it be an incompatability issue with OS 10.8.3?

    You saved me $$$ that I can ill afford on my fixed income. I was very unhappy with the "support" from Lexmark... what a rip off!  Thank you dwb!

  • PSC 1350 all-in-one not completing print jobs wirelessly with windows 7 64 bit

    I have a acer 5542 running windows 7 (64bit), connected wirelessly to an Orange Livebox hub, to which my HP PSC 1350 printer is connected (via USB cable) therefore using the Livebox as a USB printer server. This configuration has worked very well for my 2 XP laptops for the past year or two. I set up the printer on the windows 7 laptop by connecting it directly, via the USB cable, letting windows install it, and download the latest drivers, (although HP say they have no specific 64bit drivers for this printer, but the drivers they have, and that windows downloaded, work fine!) then i changed the port to the livebox ip address.
    All this worked fine (as on the xp machines), I printed out a spreadsheet, which worked fine untill it approached the end of the page, then just stopped. I troubleshot the printer which didnt return any sprcifics, Just that the print job had failed, and that it had rectified the problem, then the printer starts reprinting the same document, to the same point, (about 95% complete) and again stalls, and so the cycle continues. I have tried it with various different documents and photos, to the same ends. But if i connect the laptop directly to the printer, via USB, it completes the jobs fine
    I have posted on microsoft answers forums, but the one answer i have recieved (re installing everything) did not solve the problem. Although i am not too savvy on computers, i kind of get the feeling it is a spooling issue. (not processing or holding onto the last part of a print file! But its only a feeling!)

    I understand you're looking for drivers for your PSC 1210 on Windows 7. I will certainly do my best to guide you in this issue.
    At this time there are no HP drivers available for this printer for Windows 7. You can still use the printer with Windows 7, you will just have to use the drivers available within Windows 7. That document will walk you through what you need to do in order to get printing again, and will also show you how to scan with this Windows driver.

    One thing not mentioned there is that there isn't a good way to print ONLY incomplete to-do's. "To-do" (sorry, couldn't resist!) that you would have to move the completed to-do's to another calendar and turn off that calendar in the iCal print window.

    HELP!!Yesterday I purchased new I tried to install the above printer using the supplied USB cable and CD allowing access to online updates and restricting access.     I have created this brochure in Pages. It is 8 pages 8X10 and I need a commercial printer. Having a little problem with my local printer because he has never worked with Pages and I do not see that as a problem for him in that I am sending him a .pdf file.

    Well, use of the Portable Document Format in and of itself does not guarantee that the printing master is properly prepared.
    For instance, you can have QuickTime movies and hyperlinks in a Portable Document Format pagination, but you definitely don't want to have that in your printing master.
    You can have image resolutions that are too low for the intended printing condition, and you can have colour spaces that are incorrect for the intended printing condition.
    "All my images are CMYK" - right, but what CMYK? CMYK is just a data format, to be precise, a four component / four channel data format. You may have all images in CMYK, but one image may have been converted for newsprint with a low paper white and a total ink limit of 240%, another may been converted for inkjet with a high paper white and 220% total ink limit, and yet another may have been converted for offset with a high paper white and 340% total ink limit. Further, the colours formed by the colourants in the CMYK images may be very, very different.
    In other words, don't place pre-converted CMYK in your pages. Place original colour correct RGB colourants referenced to the physical or virtual device space in which the RGB capture was corrected (e.g. AdobeRGB, EktaSpaceRGB, PhotoGamutRGB etc.). Since a printing system cannot print three component RGB, it has to convert to four component CMYK.
    The ICC printer profile for the intended CMYK four component printing condition defines the laydown order of the inks (which may not be CMYK), the total ink limit, the gray balance, the colour detail in shadows, and the colour detail in highlights. This is a very, very nicely engineered file of only 1.5Mb that does all the difference, if you use it right.
    And this is where we come to the PDF/X filter in the ColorSync Utility. PDF/X is short for PDF for blind eXchange, that is, PDF/X is a rendering specification that eliminates what you should not have in your printing master, checks that what you do have in your printing master is reasonable, and saves out your printing master with the ICC printer profile of your choice as OutputIntent.
    One thing, check that the PDF/X filter is set to 300 dpi, and check that you pick the right ICC profile for OutputIntent. The filter has no way of knowing what printing condition you intend, so ask your printer, and pick a profile for that printing condition from those available at www.eci.org. The reference measurements are on the home page of the International Color Consortium at www.color.org.
    If you can't figure it out, post to the Apple ColorSync Users List. This is properly speaking the core community of the International Color Consortium, since the International Color Consortium was first called the ColorSync Consortium, and since the ICC Specification, now ISO 15076, is the file format of Apple ColorSync 2.0.

  • Officejet 6500 not completely printing documents

    We have had our Officejet 6500 for about a year.  Yesterday,  it stopped printing complete documents- meaning- it prints some parts of the whole page and not others.  (Example- on an Excel sheet, it will print the headers in grey scale and not the gridlines in black.)  I put new cartridges  in the printer about a week ago and was printing pages after the new ink.  Normally, I print everything on Fast draft. I have tried printing on Best and it still occurs. 
    We have 2 computers in the office and use the printer wirelessly.  This happens from BOTH computers.  
    Any suggestions?

    I'm having the same problem.  It's happened with my last 3 HP black 920XL cartridges.  Sometimes after a few days it will start working again.  The color cartridges print just fine.

  • Problem with text frame dropshadow not completely printing to pdf file.

    I am editing a file that had altered corner text frames with a .25 inset and a drop shadow added, .05 stroke and paper swatch. When I deleted text everything shifted so I had to recreate the special frames on select pages. These new text frames are not showing the top and left sides of the frames when saved to pdf file. The right and bottom drop shadow are showing.  What am I missing?

    I am using the latest version in CC. I tried several exports directly from ID, PDF/X-3:2002, PDF/X-1a:2001 and the low res setting, all with no changes.  None showed the left or top border on the frames in question.
    So I was getting the first screen shot instead of the second which other similarly formatted frames showed.  I checked every setting I could find and they were all the same.  The problem just occurred after the point in the doc that I had made changes resulting in some pages being deleted and the page formatting being thrown off which I corrected with the appropriate saved page formats.  But when I went to set up the frame dropshadow and accompanying stroke and swatches, the outline just would not show in the pdf although it appeared to be showing in ID.
    I've since discovered a work around for the editing so no pages were deleted, but I need to figure out why this happened and what I am not seeing. Perhaps a setting to show the border? Or maybe it is some overall setting that I need to be looking for? Just weird, weird, weird...

    The PDF printer is a component of Acrobat Professional, which, unless I'm sorely mistaken, DOES NOT come pre-installed on an OEM PC.

I must be missing a step... oh and by the way I did not select connect to my existing network, that did not work. I guess my question is this. Is there some "trick" or step that I need to do so my printer shows up?

    go to applications/utility/airport setup utility and configure your express. If the program finds your Linksys then your good to go. Bonjour will take care of the rest.

    What operating system? For Windows 7 there is a Mirror Image checkbox in the Finishing tab.
